On December 10th, I participated with my wife and our two sons, aged 0 and 3. At that time, the dolphin interaction at Sea Life Park was closed for renovations, and the other dolphin tours featured snorkeling with dolphins, which would be difficult with our young children, so we chose this option. I had heard that in December, if luck was on our side, we might see whales, so I was just hoping to see some dolphins or whales, but we were able to see dolphins, which made me very satisfied. Personnel were wonderful. Great energy for having a fun time. The view of the city at night is spectacular as was the sunset. The food was okay. It is difficult to plate for the number of passengers and have it delivered hot in a timely manner. This was better than some experiences but not the best, which happened in Europe. Overall, it was a fun evening in a beautiful city.

We had a party of 6 so did private charter. Only way to do the fireworks.

Boat was perfect and the crew was fantastic. Very timely and thoughtful. Right before dusk, captain saw a whale surface and we got to see it and the flute. Appreciated him catching it.

We got lucky and they texted day of to see if we wanted to go out early for the sunset. Got message late and they still made it work. Only a minimal extra charge.

Whale, sunset and fireworks. Doesn’t get any better. Highly recommend this tour.

Let's join this tour with an open mind, haha!

First, the staff arrived about 20 minutes late from the meeting time! Well, since the other participants didn't complain, I'll take it as a good sign.

Also, once we got on the boat, there was a long explanation, but it was all in English! (By the way, the email we received right before also came in English, so I used a translation app to understand the content.)

Anyway, after listening to the explanation, we dove in! We saw so many turtles, it was amazing!

On the way back, we even encountered dolphins. It would have been perfect if I understood English, but I still had a great time!

The ship is comfy, they also provide drinks.
Snorkeling spot is great, saw sea turtles and of course a lot of fishes.
We were very lucky to see 4 spots of dolphins swimming just around us and jumping and spinning.
Great crew, very friendly and helpful.
We brought 2 babies (18 months) with us, they also had a great time, could tell from their face :)

Attending a private tour allowed us to set out immediately for the dolphins when spotted them. Will def. choose to do private tour again next time.

As someone who scours reviews making sure to pick the right one, I definitely recommend this sail!!!

The crew was fantastic and extremely helpful the entirety of the trip. The boat fits a good amount of people but is still small enough to feel like you are not lost in a crowd. When leaving the dock, we saw a big group of surfers and then sailed along the entire coast up to Diamond Head. We saw a beautiful sunset, and even a pod of Hawaiian Spinner dolphins on our way out! After the sun sets, you get a great view of the city lit up at night and a beautiful view of the moon as well.

Great selection of drinks, first one is free (additional alcohol for only $6), and it’s not your usual cheap beer/wine but actually a full bar with great spirit choices!!

The price of the tour is extremely fair and we definitely would recommend this specific charter to any friends and family!!!! Thanks Moana Catamaran for a great evening!

I only understand a little English, but when it comes to snorkeling, just communicate your fin size in US sizes, and once you're in the water, you can follow the staff without any issues. There were many sea turtles and beautiful fish!

On the boat, just sit back and enjoy without doing anything dangerous! The staff was very kind, providing cold water as a service and being attentive to the passengers, which made the experience very enjoyable.

The meeting place is at the location on Google Maps listed on this site, where you should look for the boat labeled "MOANA." The meeting time is 7:30, and we boarded around 8:00. The staff called out to us near the boat around that time. I highly recommend it!

The meeting place was hard to find, and it took 20 minutes after the meeting time for the guide to finally show up. The guide only provided explanations in English, with no simple Japanese at all. I struggled to get used to putting on the snorkel and couldn't get into the water for a while. The guide mentioned that they couldn't take responsibility for those who couldn't swim, so they advised us not to swim. I think it would have been helpful to have a brief lecture on tips for breathing with the snorkel. Once we set sail, everything went smoothly, and we were able to see sea turtles coming up to the surface multiple times, which was amazing.

Tips:
-This boat departs from Kewalo Basin Harbor. The parking lot was crowded so Uber/Lyft or taxi is best.
-Bring sunscreen, towel, change of clothes for after

After we finished the snorkel sail, we headed over to Kakaako to grab lunch!

Absolutely LOVED this trip!! We did the 11am-3pm time block and it was perfect. The inside cabin was also air-conditioned. And, yes, the hot tub was perfect too!

We brought our own snacks and drinks since we knew it was a longer 4-hour trip. Snorkel equipment was included for those of us that wanted to snorkel.

The boat was HUGE (74ft!) so we had plenty of space. We brought our own smaller speaker which was great for lounging on the bow of the boat.

Definitely 10/10 experience. It was my 2nd time doing it. This time I took my brother and his gf and hopefully next year I get to bring my parents. Food was delicious, staff was flexible and accommodating, views and vibe were great. I noticed the staff is so nice. They don’t rush you to finish your plate. They allow us to be moving/walking around in the boat throughout the whole time even if it makes it a little bit more challenging for them to be able to serve us. Non alcoholic beverages were great. If you like to drink alcohol you can just take a bottle and add your alcohol to their non alcoholic drinks. You won’t regret choosing this one!

The sunset view was beautiful and the crew was nice, but when I booked a cocktail cruise, I wasn’t expecting a boat full of children. There was a group of over 30 that had around 15 children with them and they took up all of the seating. One spilled a sticky drink down my husband’s leg. I love children, but like I said, I wasn’t expecting it due to the advertisement of this being a cocktail cruise. I will read more carefully before I book a similar cruise in the future.
