Trip was great! The crew was very friendly and answered our random questions. I loved getting to sail for the majority of the time that we were on the water, and getting a view of Waikiki & Diamond Head from the water! We had a great view of sunset as well, and planes taking off from HNL. It was BYOB, but they also had drinks for sale on the boat ($5/drink or $20 bottomless). The boat had a decent number of passengers, but I don’t think it was sold out, so it didn’t feel too crowded. The attached photo is of the boat before we boarded and left the marina.

This sunset cruise was nearly perfect! My family and I were able to book our experience in the same week we took the cruise, I felt it was priced quite fairly and the process was very easy. The website's description was very helpful and I appreciated having the option to purchase dinner if I so wanted to. I did not buy the dinner package but the other guests who did seemed quite happy with their meals, though there weren't tables to place your food on. If you do choose to get the dinner, eat it before you get out to the open waters as you and your food can get pretty wet from ocean spray depending on where you sit. If you don't want to get wet there's plenty of seats that stay dry, though the catamaran can fill with many guests so arrive early if you want the best seating options. Overall, my family and I loved our experience, my mother was a bit worried as the crew didn't discuss emergency protocol but I never felt like this was a concern. The 90 minute trip had excellent views, wasn't too rocky, and I liked being able to bring my own drinks or purchasing drinks from the crew. I would highly recommend this activity to couples, families with older children, or friend groups. If I ever return to Oahu I would thoroughly like to do this again!

It was just okay, but the waitresses on the vessel made up for it.

The service provided on the dinner cruise by the servers was excellent. They were friendly and nice, always with a smile! I expected more interaction by the captain. He didn't introduce himself to the people on board or had anything to say to us. This dinner cruise was a disappointment, but we tried to make the best of it. The dinner was good, but two of my family members got sea sick because the waters were choppy and the vessel was rocking back and forth pretty bad. At least a photographer took a nice picture of us that we purchased! Thank God I took motion sickness medication before I boarded the vessel.

Turtle should not be in the title

It says turtle in the title of what this excursion is. It says snorkeling in the title as well. All this was about was taking a bunch of water toys in the middle of the ocean and playing on them. While we were out there, I asked if we were going somewhere else to see the turtles and was told this is nature. Sometimes you see them , sometimes you won’t. Again, this was not about seeing sea turtles and the title needs to be changed. We paid $150 person to jump off side of boat, jump on trampoline, kayak/paddle board and TRY to snorkel in the middle of all this chaos. Tell it like it is and don’t be devious in the title. The crew was the only reason we have 3 stars and tipped on top of what we already paid. They were very nice. But this isn’t what it says it is. Don’t be fooled.

Great time on the catamaran, staff was super accommodating. We went as a non-drinking family and it was very nice. There was even a proposal on the boat while we were there. Mixed crowd there was some Shorts and t-shirt and a also people were dressed up.

Trip went off without a hitch. Everything we expected and more. The Captain and crew were very accommodating, friendly and informative about the area. They let us pretty much make the call on where to go. Had an awesome time, and would highly recommend Captain Shane and the Royal Hawaiian Catamaran.

This was my family’s first time in Hawaii and first time parasailing. Let me first say how the booking experience was amazing. The day of our parasail adventure we checked in at the booth. The young lady working that morning was so helpful and had great customer service. When I checked in she explained the 2 pieces of paperwork each adult had to sign. Her phone rang handled her business with the customer on the phone and then apologized and thanked me for being patient. Next she explained everything we needed to know, where we needed to wait etc. Check in process smooth and straight to the point. Then our boat arrives I forgot the young mans name but he was so awesome. Captain Mac I believe his name was, was also amazing. What to expect was clearly explained, directions clearly explained and a sense of humor made our first time parasailing all worth it. Definitely a memory that will not be forgotten. Book with Xtreme an experience you won’t forget !!!!

We thought we were booking a turtle snorkel it turns out it was a water sports trip. The boat is in terrible condition. Needs maintenance. When we got to where we we’re going it was a free for all. No coordination. They immediately launched kayaks, paddle boards and a floating trampoline from the stern. At the same time they lowered a water slid from the bow. They made no effort to separate the snorkelers from the kayaks and paddle boards. We wanted to snorkel, but after getting hit in the head 4 times by kayaks and paddle boards we exited the water and waited to return to the harbor. We personally observed several snorkelers get landed upon by people using the water slide. When we went to leave they did not do a head count to make sure everyone was back on board. We have scuba dived and snorkeled from Morea, Guam, Bahamas and Cayman Islands, and we never experienced a trip where they combined water sports such as these with snorkelers. Very dangerous.

The food we were served was amazing. I expected it to be decent, but not 5 star restaurant quality considering it had to be made in bulk and served on a boat. It was delicious!
My family sat downstairs because the top got filled up quickly and we would have had to sit separately. If you want to sit in the open air, I suggest being in line to board a little early.
I would definitely do this again.

There’s a direct bus that goes from the Waikiki area and lands you on the basin where you’ll find your catamaran docked! Do it!

You have to get the deluxe package though. The slide is lots of fun. Jumping off the second story. Kayaking, paddle board.
Lots to do beside the snorkeling.
The snorkeling can be hit and miss depending on current and boat position. Make sure you ask the crew where the reef is located. Otherwise it will be hard to see any marine life.

The Royal Hawaiian Catamaran boat charter is now my absolute favorite activity on Oahu. This charter will satisfy so many different goals for island experience - sailing, snorkeling, swimming, relaxing in the shade, and learning about Hawaii. One thing that sets this tour above others is their commitment to the reef and water. They don't overcrowd the boat and there is no plastic used onboard. I really appreciated the balance between hosting tourists and stewarding their natural resources. Captain Shane, Cassidy and Gio went above and beyond to make our experience one to be remembered forever. They listened to us and provided excellent options to allow us to make the most of our charter. I liked it so much that I booked my second trip for later in the year already.
