This is an excellent idea and I'd highly recommend the lei greeting! As promised, the representative was waiting just outside our gate with our leis. The hospitality didn't end there as our rep walked with us to baggage claim, secured a porter for us and then found our hotel transfer van for us. She waited with us until we were on the van to our hotel. She would not accept a tip saying it was her pleasure to help. The leis come with a gift bag containing chocolates and care instructions for the leis. We kept ours in our hotel refrigerator and after 12 days we were able to take them home to show others....they still were beautiful and fragrant!

I ordered leis for our family of 8 on a Friday for the following Tuesday. Our flight was over an hour late, but the wonderful smiling ladies greeted us as we got off the plane. Everyone was so thrilled especially me that they were there even though the plane was late.

She held a sign with our names and came happily towards us as if she knew who we were before we said, she then helped us get to baggage claim. I surprised my son with this lei greeting. Buying the gift certificate was a little confusing. We bought it for friends going on their honeymoon. The website asks for the hotel they are staying a at which I didn't know. Then once I paid and viewed the certificate- it had my name rather than the recipients (even though I had entered their names). I was really frustrated to find there isn't a phone number to call for support, just an email. However, I had really quick response and resolution from the company via email. I believe it was the same day! Our friends enjoyed a trip on a glass bottom boat!
These people are great. Very efficient, accommodating and courteous. I called them to pick me up from the Honolulu airport and the last minute to pick me up from Waikiki and drop me off to the Honolulu airport.
We're not sure what is the typical greeting but going to Hawaii for the first time for us meant a definite lei greeting. It was simple. There was a guy waiting with a sign. No pictures or fancy process, but we did ask him to take a photo after the fact. Glad we did it.
Our Greeter was so friendly... ordered these welcome lei's as a surprise for my friend who I was traveling with.. She is allergic to flowers, I was able to do a traditional kukui nut lei with a shell upgrade, these were beautiful and fragrant free, perfect for my friend and we could still enjoy a welcome lei... Our greeter was so nice, took our picture, guided us down to baggage claim and helped us find our rental car shuttle.
Do the orchids!!! My husband was surprised and they lasted a long time. Keep them in the fridge. Yes there are orchids in the airport to buy but it is not the same as getting the Hawaiian greeting. Definitely for 1st timers. Kids would love this!
Was surprising brother with pick up and he received excellent service (unlike my experience with limo being late having to search firm)driver there to to meet them on time and helped with getting luggage and getting them to hotel.

Late did not meet and greet so had to drag luggage and try to locate car. Ended up tearing fingernail away from nail bed and bleeding with pain and still have finger bandaged because of injury. This was special treat for my sister as it was her first trip to Hawaii and I wanted it to be a great memory. Don't know reason late but driver was very nice once we found him.
