We biked from Kailua to Lanikai and did a little snorkeling and then back to Kailua for a little R&R on the beach.Kailua was one of the best beaches we went to, great water and sand.... wish we did the kayaks but I guess it's best to reserve something for next time!

Two women participated in a snorkeling tour during Golden Week. The reason for joining was that it wasn't our first time at Hanauma, so we wanted to try a different snorkeling experience. At first, my 11-year-old daughter, who was experiencing snorkeling for the first time and couldn't swim, struggled quite a bit and ended up crying, which was tough to see. However, the instructor encouraged her, and as they held hands and practiced together, she gradually improved. She seemed anxious in deeper water where she couldn't touch the bottom, but in shallow areas, she was swimming effortlessly! By the end, she said she wanted to go snorkeling again. My older daughter, who is 15, was taken a bit further out to the reef and saw three sea turtles, which got her really excited. It felt like we were in a different world, and it was a refreshing experience for both our minds and bodies! We had such a great time. While there were long lines of people waiting, we hardly had to wait at all, going to and from the snorkeling spot smoothly! Both the driver and the instructor were very kind and made the experience enjoyable. Thank you! The online reservation from Japan was also smooth and reassuring.

The day before, our youngest had a fever of 40 degrees, and we were half resigned to not going, but thanks to seeing a doctor, the fever went down to normal, and we were able to go after all. Even my grandfather, who is over 70, ended up doing the boogie board because of the incredible sense of freedom at this private beach. During the day, we took loco moco to the beach and ate together. By the way, there are several options to choose from, but the hamburger set seemed to be the best. Also, for couples, this is probably the perfect place to hide in the shade and talk about love. I also came here on my honeymoon, and I promised myself that when our family grows, I will definitely bring them here. This time, I brought my four children to Kailua.

I had a really great time. This was my second time snorkeling, and the staff were very kind and accommodating. There were four of us in total, but one person couldn't swim at all and was quite scared. However, they gently guided them while teaching them. The waves were strong, so we snorkeled quite far inside the bay, but we were able to see sea turtles up close. Everyone should definitely bring an underwater camera (they're sold at Narita Airport too). They provide all the equipment (fins, masks, snorkels, life jackets) and carry it for you, plus drinks and snacks are included. They even helped us put on the fins while assisting us in the water. The staff spoke Japanese very well, so I felt safe participating. Even when the entrance is crowded, you can skip the line and get in without waiting. The price might seem higher than other tours, but it is definitely worth the value!

とっても楽しかったですね。シュノーケルは２度目なのですがとても親切に対応してくださいました。全員で４名ですしたが　１名の方が全く泳げずかなり怖がっておりましたが、優しく手を引きながら　教えておりました。波が強くかなり湾の内側でシュノーケルしましたが、海亀も至近距離で見ることができました。皆さん是非水中カメラ持っていきましょう（成田空港でも売ってます）　器材（足ひれ、マスク、シュノーケル、ライフジャケット）は全て運んで下さるし、飲み物スナックがつきます。

The result was a great success! On the sandy beach, we had unlimited snacks and drinks, and since we didn't bring a camera for safety reasons, they even took underwater photos of us and delivered them to our hotel the next day. I was truly impressed by the exceptional service.

Initially, we thought we could manage snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, which looks shallow like a sandbar, and we were unsure which tour to choose. In the end, we decided to go with an expert, and that was the right choice! To the untrained eye, Hanauma Bay appears relatively shallow and calm, but it was indeed not enough for us, and we couldn't venture far on our own. However, by entrusting ourselves to the expert, we were taken to a nice spot near the entrance of the bay, where sea turtles kept appearing, and we even encountered a manta ray, returning completely satisfied. I participated on September 8th. On that day, I had a bit of trouble and arrived late, but since we were the only ones on the tour at that time, they patiently waited for us. After being picked up at the hotel lobby at 7:30 AM, we headed to Hanauma Bay. We smoothly watched a movie without having to wait in line, and then it was time to prepare for snorkeling. It was my first time snorkeling, but after a simple practice in the shallow water, we enjoyed the nature of Hanauma Bay for about an hour. I struggled to kick properly and couldn't move forward easily, but Alan kindly pulled me out into the deeper water, for which I am very grateful. It was great to have a commemorative T-shirt and to have photos taken. Since it was just my daughter and me, and we went out without carrying any bags, we couldn't take photos ourselves, but Alan took some for us, which I really appreciate. My daughter actually dislikes having her picture taken, and whenever I hold up the camera, she either looks away or only lets me take pictures of her back. However, this time, Alan managed to capture her swimming, and I am extremely thankful for that. The day before, we had been to Waikiki Beach, but the clarity of the water was incomparable; Hanauma Bay was truly beautiful.
