Our group consisted of five people: my wife and I, an American couple, and a Canadian man. The guide was a local from the University of Hawaii and provided explanations in both English and Japanese.

Last year, I admired the view and beauty of Hanauma Bay from a distance, and I decided to take a snorkeling course at a sports club with the hope of trying it next year. Thanks to that, I was able to fully enjoy Hanauma Bay. It was simply wonderful. I want to go again next year.

I participated with a friend. Since we didn't have a car, it was very helpful to have a shuttle service by bus.

We went in March, and although it was a bit chilly with strong winds, the blue sea and sandy beach were amazing. It might have been even better if the weather had been nice. ^^;

I've been to Hawaii over 20 times every year, but snorkeling at Hanauma Bay was my first experience. Last year, I had an experience in the heavenly sea, and the year before that, I was at the North Shore, but I didn't encounter many fish, so I wasn't expecting much. My husband and I snorkeled for the first time in our lives at Hanuma Bay. We were picked up by Allyen as per the schedule at sharp 7:30 AM from our hotel. We reached Hanuma Bay well in time and were joined by a kind Japanese lady Fumio who works with Allyen. My husband and I cannot swim and hadn't ever ventured in sea. Everyone in our group knew swimming and they snorkeled with Allyen. We stayed back with Fumio who first taught us to keep our bodies floating. She then held our hands and took us through the reefs. We saw eels and schools of fish. For us snorkeing was one of the most wonderful experiences of our lives and highlight of our Hawaii trip. We are thankful to Fumio for putting in so much effort helping us stay afloat and navigating us through water. We would recommend this trip to everyone! Thanks ton Fumio.

I participated with my mother, who is in her 50s and had no experience with snorkeling. At first, she struggled to breathe properly, but thanks to the careful and easy-to-understand guidance from our guide, Alan, and his appropriate support, she was able to do it well by the end. He also took us to points where we could see a lot of fish, so even in a short time, we had plenty of fun. It was our first snorkeling experience, including our small children, and we had a great time thanks to the kind instruction we received. When my child got scared along the way, Yuta was gentle and helped them feel at ease, even joining in on some sand play, which made it a safe and enjoyable experience. Thank you very much.

Due to the number of participants and their skill levels, we were split into two groups, and it seems the other group got to see a turtle. Next time, I would like to practice a bit before joining this tour again, so I hope to see you then as well.

I participated with two colleagues from work. Since it was everyone's first time snorkeling, we chose this tour. The guides were very kind and taught us properly, so we felt confident handling the equipment and were able to enter the sea without any worries.

It was quite a day with high waves, and we were tossed around quite a bit. I struggled to keep up with everyone due to my lack of stamina, and one of my colleagues had a hard time getting used to the snorkel. Due to various factors, two of us came back early, but even for a short time, we were able to see a lot of fish and even met a cute sea turtle. (One of my colleagues seemed to swim together with it the whole time... was he flirting?)

They had prepared water and snacks, so we could relax and enjoy the scenery. (Hanauma Bay is enjoyable just for the views alone!)

I think this is a recommended tour for those who want to go but feel anxious about snorkeling for the first time.

The day before participating in this activity, my son got injured, so we reluctantly gave up on snorkeling and played at the water's edge instead. It’s incredibly soothing. The endless horizon, the white sandy beach, the sound of the waves, the townscape—everything is just perfect. I only had time to visit Kailua Beach, but the guide mentioned that Lanikai has its own unique charm as well. Next time I go, I’d like to make the trip to Lanikai.
Most of the staff are Japanese, but almost all the foreign staff are fluent in Japanese, so you can participate with peace of mind.

Since it was my first time snorkeling, I opted for a guided tour. I participated in the morning session on September 12th. It wasn't as cold as I expected, probably because I wore a long-sleeved rash guard.

With four couples and two guides (one at the front and one at the back), I felt safe while swimming. The guides were Alan, who spoke Japanese, and a Japanese man in his twenties. They pointed out various sights, saying things like, "That's a ○○ blenny," and "Look, a sea lion is popping its head up! How rare! Lucky!!" I think the presence of the guides made the experience enjoyable.

When we arrived, there was a line at the ticket booth, but the guide had prepared everything in advance, so we were able to join the tour with hardly any wait. (For those with time constraints, it might be okay even if you're not a beginner...)

What to bring: an entrance fee of $7.5 per person (plus a tip), a bath towel, a camera (waterproof is better), and if possible, a small bottle of mineral water (for drinking during the trip or before swimming... snacks and water provided by the tour were given out after swimming), and I don't think anything else is necessary. After swimming, there was a simple outdoor shower to rinse off sand and seawater, and I changed at the hotel, so I didn't need a change of clothes.

We had a light meal in the morning before participating, so it was fine for us, but those who hadn't eaten seemed to get hungry during the tour, so it might be a good idea to bring some crackers just in case.

持参物は入場料$7.5/人(＋αﾁｯﾌﾟ～)、ﾊﾞｽﾀｵﾙ、ｶﾒﾗ(防水だとよりGood)とあれば小さいﾐﾈﾗﾙｳｫｰﾀｰ(行きの移動中や泳ぐ前飲みたい時に…ﾂｱｰに付いているｽﾅｯｸや水は泳いだ後に配られていたので)があればあとはいらないと思います。現地では泳いだ後は簡易ｼｬﾜｰで簡単に砂や海水を洗い流すだけでﾎﾃﾙに戻ってから着替えたので着替えはいりませんでした。
私たちは朝、簡単に食事を済ませて参加したので大丈夫でしたが、食べてない人は途中お腹がすいたみたいなので食べなかった人はｸﾗｯｶｰ程度持参しておくと安心かもしれません。

I've been to Oahu several times, but this was my first visit to Hanauma Bay, so I opted for a guided tour. The price was higher than other Hanauma Bay tours, but having a proper guide made me feel secure, and I was able to enjoy snorkeling without worry. I don't think we would have been able to go that far out on our own. My friends who joined me, as well as others on the tour (both women), said, "I didn't think it would be this hard..." but I didn't feel that way at all. It was so much fun. Thank you!

I felt a connection with our guide, Alan, as he picked us up. We adjusted our fins and headed to Hanauma. After watching an introductory video about Hanauma, we took the trolley down to the bay. The explanation on how to properly use the equipment was thorough, and I was able to enjoy snorkeling again after a year with ease. I was moved by the welcome from the tropical fish as I dove in. After it was over, we took a break with cookies and water, and then we were taken back to the hotel.

It had been 20 years since my last visit to Hanauma, but I was able to meet beautiful tropical fish just as before and had a wonderful time. Thanks to our guide Alan, I encountered fish right from the moment I dove in, which made the experience fulfilling. It was great that I only needed a towel and the entrance fee, so I could go hands-free without needing any equipment or snacks. However, the diving lasted only about 30 to 40 minutes. I wished I could have stayed underwater a bit longer. I highly recommend it even for those trying snorkeling for the first time.

I was planning to relax at Kailua Beach, but the day I signed up for the tour was Independence Day! The beach was packed with people. Well, I managed to enjoy it to some extent, but if you're aiming for a "relaxing" experience, it seems better to avoid Sundays and holidays.

We participated as a family. It was our first time going to Hanauma Bay, and for our children (ages 5 and 9), it was their first experience with snorkeling, so choosing a guided tour was definitely the right decision. Our guide, Allen, was just as great as the reviews said, and at Hanauma Bay, it felt like we had VIP access. He carefully taught us how to wear the masks and held the children's hands, allowing us to snorkel together. We practiced a little in our bathtub before going, but I don't think we could have managed to swim with them without the guide. The equipment, including the dry snorkels and masks, was of good quality, which was nice.

After practicing, we changed locations and swam twice, where we got to swim with a turtle and saw various types of fish, and the scenery was very beautiful. We went in late June; the weather was good, but it was a bit windy, which made the waves a little high, and the kids ended up getting cold and shivering at the end.

There aren't many afternoon tours for Hanauma, so I think it's a good option for those who have plans in the morning to make efficient use of their time. Next time, we want to go on our own and take our time to enjoy the day.

午後のハナウマツアーはあまりないので、午前に予定がある人には効率よく時間を使えてよいと思います。次は自分達で１日ゆっくり行ってみたいです。

We participated with two parents and two friends. My mother seemed to think that places where her feet couldn't touch the ground were "scary!!", but when we arrived at Hanauma Bay, she was captivated by the beautiful scenery.

The two friends mentioned that they only swim occasionally in the pool for exercise and found the ocean where their feet couldn't touch to be frightening. However, the Japanese guide explained in detail how to wear masks and other things, and we first practiced in a place where we could stand.

Even in shallow areas, we could see beautiful fish, and as we got used to it, the fear seemed to lessen. The guide pointed out where the fish were, but since we weren't used to the mask's field of vision, we were a bit confused, asking, "Where are they?" Nevertheless, we were able to see many fish. They took us to places where we normally wouldn't be able to stand, and even though it was my first snorkeling experience, my desire to come back grew.

They told us, "We swam for 1.5 hours!" Perhaps because there were no breaks, I felt exhausted when we walked back up from the beach.

途中休憩がなかったからかもしれませんが浜から上がって歩くときに疲れがどっと来ました。

浜から上がって一息ついていると誰だったか
　「足にくるね~　やっぱお年頃（年齢が高い）から？　
　　普段の運動不足だから~」と談笑しアランさんから頂いたお水、スナックで元気を取戻しました。

We participated as a couple and chose this tour because it offers longer free time compared to other tours, along with a good price and lockers. I had been to Kailua once before, but this time I wanted to visit "Boots & Kimo's," famous for its pancakes, and hoped to explore Kailua Town as well.

After arriving in Kailua, I debated whether to bike or walk, and ultimately decided to walk to Boots & Kimo's, which took about 20 minutes. I got pancakes to-go and enjoyed them for breakfast on the beach, and they were incredibly delicious!

Kailua has such beautiful waters! Waikiki is nice too, but coming here feels completely different. On the day we participated, there were many small waves, which didn't seem ideal for boogie boarding, but my husband was able to see a turtle while swimming. You can also rent snorkeling gear, so I think it's good to check the wave conditions before deciding.

After spending about an hour in Kailua, we rented bikes (Kailua Sailboards & Kayaks offers rentals for tour participants at around $11 each) and headed to the neighboring Lanikai Beach. Lanikai Beach has a milky emerald sea! The beauty of the ocean alone lifts your spirits. The last time I walked to Lanikai Beach, I was exhausted, so I recommend biking instead.

For lunch, we could choose between a boxed lunch or pizza, and I opted for the pizza recommended by the staff. I was surprised at how big it was!

The four hours flew by. With the long free time, we could visit the town and Lanikai, making it a great option for repeat visitors. There are Japanese staff members, and the presence of lockers, restrooms, and changing rooms adds to the overall sense of security, making it a very good experience.

夫婦で参加しましたが、自由時間が他のツアーよりも長い＆価格＆ロッカー付きということでこちらのツアーに決めました。
以前にも１度カイルアにいったことがありましたが、今回はパンケーキが有名な「ブーツアンドキモズ」にも行ってみたくカイルアタウンにもいけたらなと思っていました。

カイルアに到着後自転車か徒歩か悩んだ末、徒歩でブーツアンドキモズへ行ってみましたが、歩いても20分くらいでした。
パンケーキをTOGOしてビーチで朝食にいただきましたがすごく美味しかったです！！

カイルアはとても綺麗な海です！ワイキキもきれいだけど、こちらに来ると、全然ちがうな~と感じました。
参加した日は小さい波が沢山くるような感じで、ブギーボードはあまり適してなかったように感じましたが、旦那さんは普通に泳いでいたら亀をみれたようです。シュノーケルのセットもレンタルもできるので、波の状態を見てきめるのも良いと思います。
１時間ほどカイルアにいてから、レンタル自転車（カイルアセイルボード＆カヤックで、ツアー参加者は１台１１ドルくらいで借りれました）を借りて隣のラニカイビーチに行ってきました。
ラニカイビーチのほうが、ミルキーエメラルド！な海です。海が美しくてそれだけでテンションがあがります↑
ラニカイビーチまで、以前行ったときは歩いたのですがヘトヘトになってしまったので、自転車のほうがおすすめです。

ランチはボックスランチかピザが選べましたが、担当の方がお勧めしてくれたピザをチョイス。すごくおおきくてびっくり！！

あっという間の４時間でした。
フリーな時間が長いのでタウンに行ったりラニカイに行ったりもでき、リピーターさんにもお勧めです。
日本人スタッフもいますし、ロッカーやトイレ、更衣室などもしっかりついているので安心度も高くとても良かったです。
