There was only this tour available for an afternoon departure, so my friend and I participated. In the end, I'm glad we chose this one.

When I signed up for the tour, there was nothing mentioned about photos, so I was considering buying an underwater camera, but Alan took pictures while we were snorkeling and uploaded them to Facebook, which was great for keeping memories.

This is a place filled with memories since I visited Hanauma Bay for my honeymoon over thirty years ago, and I was impressed that it has maintained its unchanged beauty. The snorkeling experience was greatly assisted by our Japanese-speaking guide, who took good care of us, an elderly couple with no prior experience, helping us keep up with the other participants. We were able to encounter sea turtles and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Additionally, the guide took photos underwater and on the beach, which were later uploaded to Facebook, allowing us to download them for free after returning home as a keepsake. I definitely want to participate again next time.

It was a bit more expensive than other tours, but I signed up anyway and it was definitely the right choice! We got to see three sea turtles and swim alongside them, and we were able to see them up close. Because it was low tide, we had to go out further than we would have on our own to see the turtles. I don't think we would have seen them without Alan's guidance. It was worth the price. I highly recommend it!

It was my first time in Hawaii and my first time snorkeling, and I'm glad I went.

There were six participants and two instructors. Since it was my first time, the Japanese instructor guided me the whole way, which made me feel safe and allowed me to enjoy myself. At one point, I got seasick and had to return to shore, but the Japanese instructor stayed with me during that time.

The others seemed to have gone far out to see sea turtles and then returned.

I would actually like to give it five stars, but I missed seeing the sea turtles, and I think it would have been better with a bit more time. If there had been about 30 minutes of free time at the end (for those who wanted to snorkel wherever they liked), I would have been truly satisfied.

I want to go to Hanauma Bay again. When I do, I would like to have Alan as my guide for this tour again.

参加者6人にインストラクターが2人ついてくれました。私は初めてだったのですが、日本人インストラクターの方がずっと手を引いてくれて、おかげで安心して楽しめました。途中で波酔いしてしまって、一度岸まで戻ったのですが、その時も日本人インストラクターの方が一緒についてくれました。

私以外の人達は、遠くまで行って海がめを見て帰ってきたみたいです。

We were really lucky to have just one guide, Alan, for the two of us, which allowed us to experience everything at our own pace. After being picked up at the hotel by the Japanese-speaking Alan, he took us to the office to fit our fins. Then we moved to Hanauma Bay, where we watched a video explanation. (At this time, they distribute translation devices, so we could receive explanations in Japanese.) After that, we took a tram down the slope and left our valuables with them.

Finally, it was time to start snorkeling. I had experienced it about three times before, but it was my husband's first time, so he was a bit nervous. However, they taught us how to use the equipment properly. I’m not a good swimmer, but once I put on the life vest, I floated, and with the mask, I could breathe easily, making snorkeling enjoyable. You can wear contact lenses while using the mask, so visibility is also reassuring.

そしていよいよシュノーケリング開始です。私は3回ほど体験していたのですが主人は初めてなので少し緊張。しかし器具の使い方からきちんと教えてもらえます。私はカナヅチなのですが、救命ベストを身に着けると浮きますし、呼吸もマスクを使えば出来るのでシュノーケリングが楽しく出来ます。コンタクトをつけたままマスクも出来るので視界も安心です。
途中でマスクが緩んだのか、塩水を飲んでしまい苦しかったのですが、アランさんが直してくれて、その後は問題なく再開出来ました。ちょっと驚いてしまうけれど言われたことを守れば、体育の授業でカナヅチだったから・・と敬遠している人でも、安心して水中の世界をのぞけると思います。アランさんも写真を撮ってくださり、本当に楽しかったです。主人も夢中で写真を撮っていました。ウミガメには残念ながら会えなかったのですが、もし出来るならまたハナウマ湾に行ってウミガメを探したいです。普段運動していないし不安もありましたが初心者でも大丈夫！と皆さんにお勧めしたいです。（ストレッチはした方がいいです。）髪の長い人も前髪がかかる人も邪魔になるのでとめておいた方がいいです。

I participated with a friend. I have done this 3 to 4 times, but it was my friend's second time, so I had some anxiety. However, Alan's explanations on how to breathe, the equipment, and when to wear the fins were very clear, allowing us to snorkel comfortably and calmly. They also provide practice in shallow areas, which is reassuring. We were able to see three turtles and many fish, which was great. Since we went to quite deep places and there were areas with strong currents, it was comforting to have an expert guide with us. I thought it would be even better if we could have about an hour of free time to snorkel in the shallows.

For our 10th wedding anniversary, we planned a trip to Hawaii, and my wife booked this tour to Hanauma Bay for us.

The ocean was just beautiful!!

The weather on the day was sunny. Leading up to the day, the weather hadn't been great, and the ocean was chilly! But the stunningly clear water and the abundance of fish made us forget all that.

Our guide, Alan, was a gentleman who kindly taught us in Japanese, even though we couldn't speak any English at all, so we were able to snorkel without any worries.

He even helped us see the honu (green sea turtles), which moved both me and my wife deeply!!

We tried our best to take photos underwater ourselves, but Alan was continuously taking pictures for us and uploaded them to Facebook, so we could save them from there! He took about 110 photos during our time, so even now that we're back in Japan, we can always remember Hanauma Bay with those dynamic pictures.

There are other tours available for Hanauma Bay that might be cheaper, but considering the guide's personality, accurate advice, and aftercare, I highly recommend this tour!

ガイドのアランさんは紳士な方で、我々全く英語がしゃべれない人たちにもw、日本語で優しく教えてくれるので、何の心配も無くシュノーケリング出来ました。

最大の目的のホヌにもあわせてくれました、これには自分もおくさんも感動しました！！

自分達でも水中で写真を頑張って撮りましたが、終始アランさんが写真を撮っていてくれて、その写真をfacebookにアップしてくれているので、そこから写真を保存する事が出来まます！！
我々の時は110枚くらい撮っていてくれていたので、日本に戻った今でもダイナミックな写真でいつでもハナウマ湾を思い出せます^^

ハナウマのツアーは他にもあり、ここよりも安いものあると思いますが、ガイドさんの人柄、的確なアドバイス、アフターケアなど色々考踏まえて、このツアーをオススメします！

Thanks to him, we were able to go to depths we would never have ventured to on our own, and we got to see beautiful fish and even two graceful sea turtles, which almost brought me to tears.

Before going, my husband had said, "Isn't this a bit expensive? Maybe we should go with a cheaper tour," but afterward, he remarked, "It was worth more than the price!" This was my second time at Hanauma Bay! The first time was two years ago without a guide, and it was enjoyable in its own way, but this time, with our guide Alan, we encountered two honu (sea turtles)‼︎ We were able to swim close enough to the honu, and we also got to see the feeding behavior of the honu and schools of fish—an experience that we definitely wouldn't have had on our own. The kids were very happy as well.

I think a snorkeling instructor is necessary at Hanauma. On a previous cheap tour I participated in, I couldn't see any fish. Alan and the Japanese female staff were kind, precise, and efficient, allowing us to see a group of sea turtles and rays. I am grateful for that. There was also luggage to move, but they helped carry it. As a suggestion, it would be nice to have prescription goggles and towel rentals available. Thank you very much.

It's a bit more expensive than other Hanauma Bay tours, but I absolutely recommend the Expert tour! Our guide, Alan, was kind and fluent in Japanese.

I think you can get to Hanauma Bay on your own or through other tours, but with the Expert tour, we were able to go out to areas where no one else was swimming and circle the bay. Both my friend and I were almost beginners at snorkeling, but Alan explained everything from how to use the equipment to tips, and he always kept an eye on our pace, so we could enjoy it safely.

In this tour, we not only encountered sea turtles but also saw seals underwater!!! According to Alan, it was his first time meeting a swimming seal. He mentioned that he often sees seals lounging on the beach. We were really lucky! The seal seemed a bit surprised to see us too. Haha! The seals looked so cute, like stuffed animals swimming around.

One great thing about the Expert tour is that Alan takes photos underwater (and even on the beach)! We brought a waterproof camera, but we couldn't take good pictures at all since we're amateurs. However, Alan uploads the photos he takes underwater to Facebook, so after the tour, we can get those pictures, which is really helpful. Alan's underwater photography is truly professional!

I will definitely join the Expert Hanauma Bay tour again next time!

私も友人もシュノーケリングはほぼ初心者でしたが、使い方からコツまで丁寧に説明してくださり、ペースなども常に気にかけてくれるので安全に楽しめました。

なんと今回のツアーでは、海中でホヌだけでなくアザラシにも出会えました！！！アランさん曰く泳いでいるアザラシに出会ったのは初めてとのことです。海岸で寝ているアザラシはよく見るそうですが。本当にラッキーです！！アザラシの方も遭遇した私達に少し驚いてました。笑　アザラシ、本当にぬいぐるみが泳いでいるみたいで可愛かったです。

達人のツアーの良い点は、アランさんが海中（ビーチなどでも）で撮ってくれる写真です！私達も防水カメラ持って行きましたが、やはり素人で全然うまく撮れません。ですが、アランさんが海中で撮った写真をFacebookにアップして下さるので、ツアー参加後そこから写真をいただくことが出来、とても助かります。アランさんの海中写真、本当にプロです！

次回も達人のハナウマ湾ツアーに参加します！

The sandy beach was incredibly pleasant. Walking barefoot on the fine sand felt wonderful, and I just kept walking along the endless stretch of beach. The ocean was, of course, also great. On the day I went, there were moderate waves, and while I was riding the waves on a boogie board, time flew by. The pizza for lunch was also very delicious. Everything was fantastic. I had planned to go to Kailua Town if I got bored of the beach, but I didn't have time to go to town with all the time spent at the beach.

The tour conductor was very nice! Since it was just my mother and me on the day, we received plenty of snorkeling instruction before heading into the sea! The beautiful waters of Hanauma Bay are stunning to look at, but being in the water is amazing!! There were so many adorable tropical fish that I had never seen before. Occasionally, we also spotted larger fish. And guess what! We encountered a small sea turtle. We were able to see it just as it was coming up for air, which was a rare experience. After that, the guide pointed out a small, cute shark (not a man-eater) hiding in the rocks, which is apparently quite uncommon, so we were lucky! The guide took a lot of photos for us and shared how much they love the waters of Hawaii, making them a truly trustworthy and wonderful person. If I go again, I would definitely want to book with them. I highly recommend this experience!

I arrived in Honolulu on the morning of November 20 and participated in a tour that afternoon. The next day was my son's wedding, so it felt like a bit of a mix between the two events, but of course, this was my first trip to Hawaii for the wedding.

I was searching for a tour at the last minute and hoped to join one the day after the wedding, but there were no openings. I really wanted to participate in this tour, and since it was available the day before, I made an immediate reservation. I had only snorkeled once a year and a half ago, borrowing equipment at a hotel in Cebu and trying it out on the hotel's private beach in shallow water. At that time, I only saw a few dark fish.

When the tide went out, I realized how limited my experience had been, and I really wanted to try snorkeling with an instructor at least once and hoped to see a honu (sea turtle), so I signed up.

途中アランさんが手を引いてくれて、私はダンナとサンドイッチで楽ちんでした。
深い所でも全然不安もなく、楽しかったです。救命胴衣もつけるし、アランさんもいるので安心です。
シュノーケルをくわえる口元が、少ししんどかったかな。緩むと横から水が入ってくるので、時々顔をあげてくわえ直しました。この旅行でこの後2回シュノーケリングしましたが、口元のしんどさは感じなくなりました。たぶん、余分な力が入っていたのでしょうね。
ハナウマ湾でかなりの時間泳いでいたので、海の中ではあまり感じなかったけれど、陸にあがったら足が疲れてました。
でも気分爽快、初ハワイ初日の、楽しい体験でした。
