Although I had previous snorkel experience, the tour guide reviewed basic rules for snorkeling and I was given an opportunity to practice in shallow water. I really appreciated snorkeling beyond the reef because this is were I saw a turtle!

I wanted to show my wife the snorkeling experience I had at Hanauma Bay during my single days, so I participated again.

We were able to rent wetsuits on-site for a fee. The goggles and snorkels provided were not the usual worn-out ones, but rather well-maintained equipment. Thanks to that, it was a very warm and comfortable ocean adventure. I highly recommend the wetsuits.

Last time I came, I just floated in the shallow waters, but this time, our guide and instructor, Chie, who is a certified diver, took us out to deeper waters. My wife hadn't swum in a while, but since she held my hand the whole time, she was able to keep up without any issues. The fish were adorable, and I was surprised when a turtle swam right past us!

Thank you for such a dreamlike experience.

以前、独身時代に経験したハナウマ湾のシュノーケリングを奥さんにも見せたくて参加しました。
現地にてウェットスーツを有料でお借りすることが出来ました。
メガネ、シュノーケル含め、よくあるボロボロのではなく、しっかり手入れされたものをお借り出来ました。
その御蔭でとてもあたたかく、快適な海の旅でした。スーツお勧めです。

前回来た時は浅瀬でぷかぷか浮いていたものですが、ガイド兼インストラクターのチエさんはダイビングの資格をお持ちとのことで、その経験を活かして沖合の方まで連れて行ってくださいました。奥さんは泳ぎは久しぶりだったのですが、ずっと手をつないでくれていたので、問題なくついていくことが出来ました。
魚は可愛かったし、目の前を亀が通過していったのにはびっくりしました！
本当に夢の様な時間をありがとうございました。

This was our first trip to Hawaii for our honeymoon! And our first snorkeling experience! I was looking for a tour because I wanted to go snorkeling, and I decided to join this tour because the reviews were excellent(^^). I'm glad I chose a guided tour＼(^o^)／ Allen explained everything in Japanese and taught us how to use the equipment carefully, which made it very reassuring for beginners! Of course, the snorkeling was also very satisfying!!! I was thrilled to encounter a sea turtle! I highly recommend snorkeling at Hanauma Bay(*^^*). Beautiful bay, Blue Hawaii divers a husband and wife team were great, we were picked up, accessed the bay without having to join the long line that afternoon, good clean equipment. We saw a turtle which my son swam alongside as well as lots of fish large and small. One of the best days of our trip.

While I was nervously waiting at the hotel front to meet the guide, Alan appeared wearing a sea turtle T-shirt! I recognized him right away (о´∀`о).

I was relieved that I could communicate with Alan in Japanese (*´∀｀).

As expected, Alan was a pro at Hanauma Bay. He had a pass with the parking attendants and moved around confidently, which made me feel very secure (о´∀`о).

The water was quite cold, but as I swam with Alan, we encountered a sea turtle!! I was healed by the graceful way it swam, which was so different from the fish (*´ω｀*).

When we were picked up at the hotel, Alan, who came to greet us, looked a bit frail, and I was concerned... However, once we started the snorkeling tour, he transformed into a 100% trustworthy guide! It was a tour that my 70-year-old mother was very satisfied with. The best part was that they provided wetsuits and other gear. Since the weather was a bit chilly when we entered the water, this was very helpful. Additionally, there were many corals, so it was also great for preventing injuries. The snorkeling experience was absolutely satisfying. My mother, who had previously gone snorkeling in Guam, didn't have a very good impression of it (she was scared because the beaches in Guam had many rocks and she slipped), but it seemed she really enjoyed snorkeling on this tour.

It's great that you can ask questions whenever you don't understand something. Hanauma Bay is rich in fish, and you can encounter a wide variety of them, making it feel like you're swimming in an aquarium. I was surprised that the fish didn't flee even when people were around, as it is a no-fishing zone.

This is a highly recommended tour where you can fully enjoy snorkeling!!!

The reason I deducted one star is that I didn't get to see a sea turtle (T_T). I was really hoping to swim with a sea turtle, so that was disappointing. I hope to see one next time I participate, so I'm giving it four stars!

However, I saw plenty of fish and even an octopus, so overall, I was satisfied! It was an hour that flew by in the beautiful sea. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Since it was a weekday, there were only two groups with four participants. They adjusted to the pace of the participants, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful sea without any pressure. At the beginning, they provided a brief introduction to the basics of snorkeling, which made it reassuring for complete beginners.

Our guide, Alan, was friendly and also understood Japanese, making communication easier in case of any issues, which added to our sense of safety (although there were no incidents at all, it was comforting just in case).

I participated in the morning session, and although it rained just before we arrived, it cleared up by the time we got there. The waves were calm, and we were able to observe various types of fish slowly. Along the way, we were fortunate enough to spot two turtles, which I thought was very lucky.

平日参加だったためか、2組4名の少人数でした。参加者のペースに合わせて回ってくれるので、無理なく綺麗な海を楽しめました。はじめに簡単にシュノーケリングの基礎を教えてもらえるので、全くの初心者でも安心です。
ガイドのアランさんは気さくな上に日本語も分かる方なので、いざという時に意思の疎通が測りやすいと思われ、安全面でも安心感がありました。(ハプニング等は全くありませんでしたが、万が一のため)
午前の会に参加し、直前に雨が降りましたが、到着時には晴れました。波も穏やかで、
いろいろな種類の魚をゆっくり観察できました。途中には2匹もカメの姿を見かけることができ、とても幸運だったと思います。

In a word, it was a wonderful tour that truly lived up to the name of a master. I participated with three young couples, plus myself, who is over 60, and we strolled through Hanauma Bay hand in hand with Master Alan. At the end, a Japanese female staff member took up the rear to watch over everyone, so there was no need to feel scared.

It's a world of difference from the time I splashed around snorkeling in shallow waters over 20 years ago. But being able to go out this far is thanks to being with a master, and we encountered turtles twice. Previously, when I participated in a tour of the "Heavenly Sea," I had the chance to snorkel, but there are definitely more fish in Hanauma Bay than in Kaneohe. Kaneohe is more about enjoying the scenery! I want to cherish such a rich sea forever.

I brought shoes and glasses, but they were completely unnecessary. It turned out to be a burden to carry them. If I have another opportunity to come to Hawaii, I would love to join Alan's snorkeling tour again. I thought Alan would be younger, but he turned out to be of the same generation. Perhaps his hobby turned into his job. I wonder if he is also a professional photographer? He took so many wonderful photos.

I thought the price was reasonable as well. Plus, the master took many photos, so there was no need to bring a camera, allowing us to fully enjoy watching the fish. If you have a good time, it's definitely nice to give a tip as a token of gratitude.♡

若い恋人同士で参加した3組プラス60過ぎの私なのですが、二人一組で手をつないで達人アランさんについてハナウマ湾を散策です。また最後は日本人の女性スタッフがしんがりを務め皆さんを見守ってくれますので、怖がることもなさそうです。
20数年前足の着く岩場でポチャポチャとシュノーケルしたのとは大違いです。
でもこんな沖まで出れるのも達人と一緒だからこそ、2回も亀と遭遇できたのです。
以前、天国の海ツアーに参加したとき、シュノーケリングをする機会があったのですが、
カネオハの海よりハナウマ湾のほうが断然魚の数が多いです。
カネオハは景色を楽しむとこかしら！こんな豊かな海はいつまでも大事にしたいものです。
シューズやグラスまで用意してきたけど全く必要ないですね。荷物になるので持ってくる必要はなかったです。
またハワイにくる機会があればこのアランさんのシュノーケリングツアー参加したいともおもいます。
アランさんはもっと若い人かと思っていたら同世代でした。たぶん趣味が高じてお仕事になったのですね。彼はプロのカメラマンでもあるのかしら？素晴らしい写真が沢山です。
お値段もリーズナブルだとおもいました。それに達人が沢山の写真も撮ってくれますので、カメラ持参の必要もないですので、思いっきり魚をみて楽しめること請け合いです。
楽しめたら感謝の気持ちを込めたチップは渡すべきですね♡

We LOVED this day! Dan & his wife were great! They took very good care of us, even making sure that those of us with cameras got a chance to take pictures of the beautiful fish (and the 2 sea turtles we saw). They provided us with cold water and snacks after our swim, which were much appreciated. I love that Dan took many pictures of us all with his camera, and posted them to Facebook for us to see &/or download later. My husband and I are both over 60, and I think they were a little concerned whether we could handle the swimming. But they stayed nearby and checked often whether we were OK (we were!) Most of our group was Japanese, with My husband & I the only "anglos". Dan was amazing at switching from Japanese to English and back, making sure that none of us felt left out of the conversation. We would definitely recommend this activity for anyone!

I was honestly a bit anxious since it was overseas and had fewer reviews compared to other tours. We waited on the first floor of the hotel for our pickup, wondering if they would really come. However, they arrived almost on time and were friendly from the start. There were three groups of foreign tourists, and they made sure to engage with everyone equally, which was wonderful.

I saw reviews mentioning that valuables could be stored, and I thought they would be kept in the car, but instead, they were stored in a lockbox on the beach. Also, I was instructed to wear my swimsuit beforehand, so I participated in just my swimsuit from the beginning. However, being in the water for a long time can get cold, so changing clothes is definitely necessary.

While there were some minor shortcomings in the guidance, both Dan, the husband, and Chie, the wife, were very nice people, making it a tour you can enjoy with peace of mind. I think it's recommended. Even if the weather is bad or we didn't see any sea turtles, that's just nature, so it's to be expected.

貴重品が預けられるという口コミを見ましたが、てっきり車の中に保管するのかと思っていたら砂浜に鍵の掛かる箱に保管をしました。
あとは、事前に水着を着用しとくように指示があったので最初から水着だけで参加したのですが、ずっと水に入っていると寒くなるので、やはり着替えは必要ですね。
若干案内不足なところは否めませんが、旦那さんのダンさんと奥様のチエさん共に非常に良い人で、安心して楽しめるツアーですのでオススメだと思います。
天気が悪いとか、海ガメにあえなかったとか言ってもそれは自然が相手なのですから当然のことだと思います。

First of all, I was moved by the beauty of Hanauma Bay, just as I had seen in photos. My daughter was a bit nervous since it was her first time snorkeling, but the three of us, including Alan, held hands almost the entire time and before we knew it, we had drifted quite far out. Although we didn't see any honu (sea turtles), we were thrilled to see many fish. I am 49 years old and usually swim in a pool, but towards the end, I started to feel a bit tired and wondered, "How much longer do we have to swim?" I expressed that I wanted to go back, and Alan said, "It's time to head back anyway." Once we returned, we took a break with some water and snacks, but I would have appreciated a little free time if possible! It was a bittersweet farewell to Hanauma Bay. I was grateful to be able to take the tram back up the hill. Lastly, I want to thank Alan for helping me swim so much and for taking so many photos that I would never have been able to capture on my own.

I had only done snorkeling in Okinawa before. The sea in Okinawa was beautiful, but Hanauma Bay was incomparably more stunning.

On the day of the tour, a cheerful guide came to pick us up at the meeting point. The guide spoke Japanese very well and chatted with us casually during the drive. Thanks to that, we arrived at Hanauma Bay in no time. We received a briefing on sea etiquette and swimming techniques while putting on our fins and life jackets, and then we were off to the ocean! Perhaps due to the prior briefing, we were able to move around freely! When we moved to a slightly deeper area, a school of fish appeared right in front of us! I had never seen such a school of fish before!! After that, we were informed by the guide's friend about where to find sea turtles, and we set off to search for them. We successfully spotted a sea turtle. Although we shouldn't touch them, the turtle approached us closely, perhaps because it was used to people. It was so close that I was worried we might accidentally touch it.

After thoroughly enjoying Hanauma Bay, we were given well-chilled water and Hawaiian snacks on our way back. I was very grateful for that consideration, as swimming took more energy than I expected.

　当日はピックアップ場所に陽気なガイドさんが迎えに来てくれました．ガイドさんは日本語がとても上手で，移動の車内でも気さくに話しかけてくれます．おかげであっという間にハナウマ湾に到着．
　足ヒレ，ライフジャケットの装着時に海でのマナー，泳ぎ方のレクチャーを受け，いざ海へ！事前レクチャーのおかげか移動も自由自在に！水深が少し深いところへ移動すると，魚の群れが目の前に！あんな魚群は初めて見ました！！その後はガイドさんの友人からウミガメがいる場所を教えてもらい，ウミガメ捜索へ．無事にウミガメを発見できました．ウミガメは触ってはいけないのですが，ヒトに慣れているせいかウミガメからグイグイ近づいてきます．触ってしまうのではないかハラハラするくらい至近距離でした．
　ひとしきりハナウマ湾を満喫し，帰り際にはよく冷えた水とハワイのお菓子をいただきました．水の中は思ったより体力をつかうので，その気遣いがとてもうれしかったです．

次回ハワイに行くときはまた同じ方にガイドをお願いしたいと思います．

My first time in Hawaii. I had experienced snorkeling in various seas, so I was able to enjoy it without any anxiety. I was surprised to see so many fish in shallow waters. Moreover, the fish were so relaxed and unguarded, which was really soothing. I wanted to see even more. Other groups seemed to have spotted sea turtles, but unfortunately, we didn't see any on our tour, which was disappointing.
Our guide, Alan, was a very unique person, and we had a really fun time. I wasn't sure whether to give a tip, and in the end, I completely forgot about it when we got out of the car. I regretted not giving one for a while.

At the beach, I can fully enjoy myself with items like mats and snorkeling sets provided. Additionally, since tour buses cannot access Lanikai, I recommend renting a bike. For just an extra $10 on this tour, you can rent a bike right there. In the morning, I had a pleasant ride to Lanikai and enjoyed snorkeling at the beach!

It seemed like it was one of those rare days with great weather, and I was able to see the ocean's colors more beautiful than ever before. The waves were almost nonexistent, and I had so much fun that I didn't want to leave the water.

In the afternoon, we returned to Kailua for lunch. You can choose between a plate lunch or pizza. We opted for the plate lunch. It was a bit disappointing that we couldn't choose from a variety of options since it was a set meal. The taste was just okay—nothing to get too excited about, although I wasn't expecting much. Considering the time it takes to think about and go buy something, it was at least passable.

In the afternoon, I relaxed and enjoyed the ocean again in Kailua until it was time to leave. I will definitely use this service again when I want to enjoy the beach.
