That day, I was suffering from severe jet lag and was incredibly sleepy, so in the end, I didn't join the tour and played in the sand with my child on the beach. I think it's better to go after you've adjusted to the time difference, as it requires quite a bit of physical energy. On the way back on the trolley, I spoke with the person sitting next to me, and they mentioned that around December, if the weather is good, it's not too hot, making it perfect for snorkeling. However, the instructor said that during that time, the weather can be unpredictable, and just last week, they were shivering while getting into the water. We were fortunate to have good weather.

It's the third day of my stay in Hawaii.
The weather was bad that day, and the sea felt a bit rough. It rained at times, making it a little chilly.
It was disappointing that the water was cloudy with sand and not clear, but I was glad to see sea turtles and vibrant fish that are only found in Hanauma Bay.
The guide took some photos for us! ^_^

As expected from Hanauma Bay, where regulations are well established, the number of fish was incredible. I've snorkeled several times in the beautiful waters of Okinawa, but it doesn't compare. Hanauma Bay is full of colorful fish whose names I don't know, including the Yagara. Unfortunately, I didn't encounter any sea turtles, but it's definitely a place I want to visit again. I hope to go before I get too old. Since I'm not very good at English, I really appreciated the guidance in Japanese. It allowed me to focus on observing the fish with peace of mind.

Unfortunately, the expert was on summer vacation, and other individuals (mainly scuba diving instructors) took over. On the day of the tour, the low tide caused the coral to be exposed above the water's surface. We were able to see some fish, but we did not observe any sea turtles. I appreciated the thorough explanations and attentiveness throughout the experience.

By the way, thanks to this tour, we were able to enter in an instant, but if you try to line up normally, it can be quite a hassle. Even if you don't choose this option, I think it's better to go with a tour.

残念ながら達人はサマーバケーション中で別の方々（主にスクーバダイビングのインストラクター）が担当してくださいました。
当日は干潮のせいで、サンゴが海面から出てしまうほどでした。
魚はいくらかは確認できましたが、ウミガメは観察できませんでした。
終始丁寧な説明と気配りをしていただけて良かったと思います。

ちなみに入場まではこのツアーのおかげで一瞬で入れましたが、普通に並ぼうとすると大変なことになりますので、これを選ばないにしてもツアーで行った方が良いかと思います。

We loved snorkeling at Hanauma Bay! We could see fish all around us in waist-deep water, and even though it was busy, there was plenty of space to have our own experience. The food in the snack bar was good (although a little pricey), and I liked that we could rent life jackets and stoppers for our snorkels from the company once we got there. Just make sure you bring extra money for the entrance fee, tram (it saves a lot of uphill walking), equipment rental, and food. You can also bring food on the beach, so pack some snacks and water to save some cash.

Our snorkel guide Dan was amazing. I can't swim and he was able to take me out to the deep! He was very patient. My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed his tour of hanauma bay, it was definitely a highlight of our trip and even fulfilled one of my bucket list things to do. I will never forget the experience and recommend it highly. Also a huge bonus is Dan takes underwater pics of you snorkeling and post them up on his Facebook - free of charge!

We participated as a couple in the afternoon. There were also two girls, making a total of four people, and our guide was a Japanese woman. (I later heard that "master" Alan was not in Hawaii at the time and that he was replaced by another tour guide.)

From the hotel pickup to Hanauma, our guide shared information about the Waikiki area along the way, providing a smooth and reassuring experience. After arriving at Hanauma Bay, we watched an environmental protection video and took a tram to the beach.

We were lent snorkeling gear, fins, and life jackets, and they kindly explained how to use them. (Actually, the day before, I had gone on a completely different optional tour where there was no rental of fins or explanation of precautions, and my husband injured his foot on the rocky seabed, so this was very reassuring.)

Once we started snorkeling, we swam almost from one end of the bay to the other, guided by our tour guide. Along the way, we encountered a honu at a spot where they are often seen! I heard that earlier that same morning, they hadn’t seen any honu, so we were lucky. We enjoyed the beautiful sea of Hanauma while watching various fish and corals, and I truly felt it was great to participate.

The guide maintained a comfortable distance, and overall, I was very satisfied. It was a tour that made me want to come back to Hanauma Bay again. Thank you very much.

シュノーケルとフィン、ライフジャケットを貸していただき、その使い方まで丁寧に教えてくれました。(実は、前日に全く別のオプショナルツアーでも、シュノーケリングをしたのですがフィンの貸出や注意事項の説明がなく、夫が海の岩場で足裏をケガしていたので、心強かったです。)

シュノーケリング開始してからは、ガイドさんに誘導されながら、湾のほぼ端から端までを全員で泳ぎました。その途中、よくいるというスポットでホヌに遭遇！同じ日の午前中は、ホヌに会えなかったそうで、ラッキーでした。ほかにも様々なお魚と珊瑚を眺めながら、ハナウマのきれいな海を満喫できて、参加できて本当に良かったと思います。

ガイドさんの距離感もほどよく、総合的にとても満足できました。またハナウマ湾に来たいなと思えるツアーでした。ありがとうございました。

Dan and his wife were great! We had two cars because we were a party of 7. Dan was my driver and he was very good at giving us a mini tour as we were driving to Haunama Bay. Once we arrived, we didn't have to stand in line at all. We went into a mini theater to watch a 9 min video orientation. Then we were off. We went down to Hanauma Bay via a trolly. He and his wife explained how to use our gear and made sure it was all on properly. We all had a great time. This was definitely a fun activity to do as a family. The underwater views were amazing. If you don't have a waterproof camera, its fine. Dan takes a bunch of pictures and uploads them on to his website/facebook page and gives you the link, so you can view them. Don't worry if you don't know how to swim, we had a couple people in our party who didn't know how to and they were just fine. Dan, thank you. We will definitely choose you again! :) -Mahalo!

We had the best time!

My wife and I had never been snorkeling and one of the things that my wife had wanted to do for years was to swim with the dolphins. We wanted to learn how to snorkel and found this tour on Veltra. The tour was scheduled the day after we arrived in Hawaii and we received a courtesy call reminding us of the time and place for pickup. Dan was right on time and met us at the pickup place. He was cordial and interesting to talk to. Everything was arranged for us at the Bay. His instructions were easy to understand and we headed into the water. We were later joined by Dan's wife Chieko and they stayed with us the whole time. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful, colorful fish as well as the turtle swimming in the bay!

We had a very enjoyable time and recommend this tour very highly! Dan and Chieko were wonderful hosts. We are grateful for the time they spent with us (as well as others that were with the tour) as we were able to go to other beaches and snorkel.

Thanks so much Dan & Chieko. We hope to see you again!

We had never snorkeled before, but Dan and his wife were awesome! We will never forget this. We are waiting for the pictures that we took with our disposable cameras. Lots of fish. I do not like putting my head under water, but they were soooo reassuring and made you feel very comfortable. Very organized. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Unfortunately we did not see any turtles, but it was still wonderful.

Excellent for beginners...

This was my first time ever for snorkeling and I was a bit nervous. Dan, my guide, was so patient and easy going. Made it so easy to relax and learn... He helped hold my hand and guide me through the bay, saw a lot of cool water life. This was an excellent tour, I didn't have to think about anything. Was picked up at the hotel, they brought the gear, snacks, and a trunk to lock up small belongings during the snorkeling. Our guide has an excellent camera and took pictures during the tour and posted it to facebook for me to see and share. Dan is well known at the bay and knows it inside and out. Had a blast and will definitely rebook with Dan, if I ever get a chance to come back to Oahu.

We had a great time with Dan on this snorkel trip. Dan was excellent. The water was great. We saw so many different kinds of fish. I just wish we were able to see a turtle. Dan provided us with the latest snorkels so we didn't have to worry about swallowing water. Definitely recommend!

The only suggestion I would make is to wrap the admission and team fee into the activity fee. It's a bit annoying to have to pay separately.

The highlight of our Hawaiian vacation! Dan took care of everything--getting to Hanauma Bay and geared up was super easy. (Gear was top notch.) After quick instructions we were in the water and looking at fish, turtles, etc. Our 7 yr old son is not a good swimmer but Dan's wife swam with him and helped the whole time so my husband and I were able to enjoy the experience without having to constantly focus on him. The tour was the perfect length and best part was photos waiting for us online afterwards--didn't have to lug camera around ourselves and got great momentos of trip. Highly recommend for families with kids or anyone who wants a relaxing (but exciting) snorkeling adventure.

This snorkeling tour was truly amazing.
I live in Wakayama, so I've done some snorkeling before, but I never imagined being so close to a school of fish, especially with them approaching without any fear.
My wife, who has no snorkeling experience, was guided to the points while holding my hand, and she was also very impressed.
On that day, we didn't seem to encounter any turtles, but when they asked, "Shall we try a little longer?" and stayed with us, it was incredibly moving when we finally saw a turtle swimming gracefully—two of them, in fact!
This experience has greatly enhanced the memories of our trip to Hawaii.
I've traveled abroad many times, but this has become my most memorable experience.
Also, thank you very much for the careful guidance on downloading the photos afterward.
We are definitely planning to participate again next year.

I read in a review that there were only fish of the same color, but the guide knows where to find the fish, so they will take you to places with rare fish. There were many beautifully colored fish swimming right in front of me. Next time, I want to see a sea turtle. I definitely recommend the tour.

Kailua requires taking a bus that you might not be used to, and both Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach are difficult to access from the bus stop, so I recommend this tour for both town and beach lovers!!

I recommend renting a mat to take to Kailua Beach, which is just a short walk from the tour company. The area under the shade of the trees has branches that can be painful if they fall. You can also borrow snorkeling gear for free, but there are no fish. Many people are relaxing on the beach. The morning is recommended as there are fewer people at the beach.

I rented a bicycle to get to Kailua Town ($10.47 per bike). They provide a map and explain how to get there. It can be a bit scary until you get used to the pedal brakes, but it’s manageable. It takes about 20 minutes on foot. Riding with the wind felt great.

For lunch, you can choose between a plate or pizza, and the staff-recommended spinach and garlic pizza was delicious.

For us, the time spent at both the beach and the town felt just right, though we could have used a little more. The staff could almost all speak Japanese, which was reassuring.

カイルアって、個人では慣れないバスに乗らないと行けないし、さらにカイルアビーチやラニカイビーチはバス停から行きにくいので、このツアーは、カイルアタウン派にもビーチ派にも、オススメします！！

主催会社から徒歩すぐのカイルアビーチへはゴザを借りて行くことをオススメします。日陰になる木の下は枝が落ちてて痛いです。シュノーケルセットも無料で借りられますが魚はいません。ビーチでのんびりしてる人が多いです。午前中の方がビーチの人は少なくてオススメです。
カイルアタウンへは自転車を借りました（$10.47／1台）。地図も貰えるし行き方も教えてくれます。自転車のペダルブレーキに慣れるまでは怖いですがなんとかなります。徒歩だと20分とのこと。風を切って走るのが気持ち良かったです。
ランチはプレートかピザが選べ、スタッフオススメのほうれん草とガーリックのピザが美味しかったです。
ビーチもタウンも、の私達には時間も少し物足りないかなくらいでちょうど良かったです。
スタッフもほぼ日本語が話せるので、安心できました。

The shuttle drivers, both to and from Hanauma Bay, were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the island. They shared interesting facts along the way and made the drive an experience in itself. Not to mention, they were very prompt and the price was unbeatable! Would definitely recommend this shuttle if you're staying in Waikiki and would like to visit a beautiful beach with amazing snorkeling!
