I carefully selected this tour for my one-week trip to Hawaii. I participated with my children, aged 6, 9, and 12. There were quite a few moments of turbulence, and my middle child felt a bit seasick, but we enjoyed the views of Diamond Head from the opposite side of Waikiki Beach and the sunset over Waikiki. On the last day of our first trip to Hawaii, my mother and I went on a dinner cruise. It was my second time doing this. We were blessed with great weather and got to see a beautiful sunset. After much deliberation about the meal plan, we decided on the roast beef buffet. Since the lobster from last time wasn't great, I was torn between crab and roast beef, but I'm glad I chose the roast beef! The portion was just right, the seasoning was good, and we could enjoy as much dessert, fruit, and drinks like coffee as we wanted, which made the kids happy too. After the meal, we enjoyed a Hawaiian dance show. At the end, there was a dance time that involved the passengers! Thanks to the lively crew, we were all smiles. I'm really glad we went! I thought it would be a heavy dinner since I was getting tired of Hawaiian cuisine, but the seasoning was to my liking, or rather suited for Japanese tastes (there were many foreigners as well), and the portion size was good, allowing us to have a wonderful time. Since we participated as a couple, we also purchased the window-side seating option. With the addition of cake and champagne, it felt just like a honeymoon. It was a bit embarrassing since we are over sixty.

The all-you-can-eat crab was like snow crab, and compared to Japanese snow crab, the taste and meat quality were somewhat lacking, which is understandable. However, it was difficult to eat since there were no scissors or crab spoons provided. I was disappointed because if we had the right tools, we could have eaten more crab. This cost them one star.

The singing and dancing by the staff were excellent. From our window-side seats, we could see everything clearly, and my wife was delighted. The staff were very active during boarding and disembarking, serving meals, and dancing.

The final song and dance involving the audience created a lively atmosphere, and we had a very enjoyable time. I would like to participate again.

I will take the bus to the stop near Aloha Tower. Most of the passengers are Japanese, but the attendants are locals and the explanations are in English. There are English/Japanese videos playing for important information, so there shouldn't be any issues.

For tourists, the only means of transportation besides rental cars is the trolley, so that alone is quite appreciated. When you look out at the sea from the port where you get off the bus, you can see tropical fish right away!

The ship has a first floor for those having a course meal and a second floor for buffet diners. My husband and I had made a reservation for the buffet on the second floor. I’m not sure about the first floor, but sitting on the second floor, my honest impression was... there are a lot of foreigners! (Of course, but I was a bit surprised since I thought it was a tour popular with Japanese people too.)

While we were seated and waiting for departure, it felt like the crew mainly went around greeting tables that were obviously speaking English, which made me feel a bit excluded. (After departure, it seems they came to my husband while I was away, but since he doesn’t speak English well, he didn’t quite understand.)

You can enjoy one complimentary Mai Tai. The buffet is more of a "one-time visit to get food" style rather than an all-you-can-eat format. This is how a buffet is supposed to be, but the quality is just average. The roast beef seems to be the highlight.

The sunset time is announced in advance, so you can enjoy the deck at that time. Of course, the sunset is backlit (laughs), but it’s something to remember.

After sunset, live music and hula shows begin on each floor. Everything is in English, but the songs played are all famous, and the MC was considerate of guests from various countries, which was nice. The hula show is up close, diverse, and although the space is small, it’s quite impressive.

Before arriving, everyone dances and sings in a circle, making it enjoyable for people of all ages! However, the time spent admiring the night view of Honolulu from the deck was wonderful, and I was mostly outside during the dance.

マイタイが１杯サービスでいただけます。
ビュッフェは食べ放題、というよりは「一度だけ取りに行く」スタイルです。いわゆる「食べ放題」では無いです。本来ビュッフェってこういうものなのですけどね。クオリティはごく普通。
ローストビーフが目玉みたいですね。
あらかじめサンセットの時刻がアナウンスされるので、その時間にはデッキに出て気持ちよく過ごせます。もちろんサンセットは逆光ですが(笑)目に焼き付けて・・
日没後、それぞれのフロアで生音楽とフラのショーが始まります。
もちろん全て英語ですが、演奏してくれるのは有名な曲ばかりだし、所々諸外国から来たゲストを気遣ってくれるMCで嬉しかったですね。
フラのショーは間近だし、バラエティに富んでいて、狭いながら見ごたえがあります。
到着前には全員が輪になって踊り歌い、老若男女問わず楽しめる内容でした！
しかしながらホノルルの夜景をデッキから眺める時間が素晴らしく、ダンスの間はほぼ外に出ていたのですが。
最後まで疑問だったのは、サーブしてくれていたウェイター(兼ダンサーの小さい男の子)にはチップをいつ渡せば良かったのか？
ミュージシャン&ダンサーズにはチップは不要だったのか？
誰か教えてください！

個人的にはサンセット&ホノルルの夜景で充分元が取れて、夕食も取れたので満足です。
今度両親を連れてハワイに行きますが、英語は話さないので連れて行くのを少し迷います。

With a simple flick of the wrist, he can make the ukulele sound like a harp, koto or even an electric guitar. His original compositions are powerful and diverse, and everything is magnified by the great acoustics in Blue Note's venue. The food is worth a try too!

The staff were friendly, the ship was clean and we enjoyed the food and entertainment. The entertainers, from the dancers to the musicians on our deck, were fun to watch and listen to. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. The only downside, in my opinion, was that they served dinner immediately after setting sail. Given that sunset was 30 mins after we sailed, we either had to choose to watch the sunset and let our food get cold, or eat our food and miss the sunset. We had plenty of time to eat, so I wish they had waited until after sunset to serve the food.

Since there are many Japanese people, I found myself wondering which cruise it was, but the post-meal showtime was really exciting. It definitely raised the mood. I think it's because of how well the staff engages everyone. The sunset we aimed for was, of course, beautiful, and I appreciated that there was no rocking. I chose a plan that included transportation, but I had trouble figuring out the location. I think it would be helpful to have a more detailed map and information about what kind of vehicle (bus) would be coming.

I was recommended this for the last night by a friend who loves Hawaii, so I signed up. I was unsure which plan to choose, but considering that my wife doesn't eat much and gets motion sickness, we decided to go with Pacific Star for the atmosphere. I can't compare it to others since I haven't experienced them, but this was definitely the right choice. The ambiance of the ship, the service, the view changing from sunset to night scenery, and the show were all wonderful, making for a great memory on our last night.

This is my second time participating, following last year. On the day of the event, the wind was strong and the waves were high, so being at the front of the boat felt like an attraction and was fun. I think it's a good idea to wear a swimsuit under your T-shirt since you'll get splashed with water. Of course, if you don't want to get wet, you can sit in the middle of the boat and be fine.

The view of Waikiki Beach from the ocean was lovely! I will participate again when I go to Hawaii!

This was the least delicious meal I had during my trip to Hawaii! Every dish had a strong odor and peculiar taste, and the quality was lacking. The main dish, the roast beef, was tough and not what I would consider good quality meat, so I ended up leaving it. The fish dish was also dry and tasted as if it had been freezer-burned. The tables were too close together, making it feel like I was in a shared izakaya. I will not be using this place again. It has become a memory of my trip to Hawaii.
