On the second day of our arrival, we had an experience. My husband, our 9-year-old daughter, and I were able to participate together for the first time. Until now, we had only been able to ride one or two people at a time, so it was great to ride as a family of three.

The boat was larger than I expected, and we went out to the open sea for the experience. We were with two other groups. The height was also 150 meters, and we were able to see the most amazing views.

One unexpected thing was that while anchored, the boat swayed a bit, and during sailing, it felt more like we were connected rather than being pulled by the boat, so we felt the swaying from the waves and wind, which made me a bit seasick.

However, we had a wonderful experience with stunning views.

I mistakenly booked the jet ski and bumper tube, but they quickly changed it for me. The instructions were given in Japanese, and they even made jokes to keep us entertained. Overall, it was so much fun, and I'm glad I tried it.

La prise en charge, l’accueil, le circuit tout était très bien. Le chauffeur nous donnait des renseignements intéressants. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Seule petit bémol le bus n’était pas très confortable et j’ai quelques petites douleurs au dos. J’ai aussi acheté la photo bien que j’ai trouvé le prix exorbitant. The ride out to sea on the boat was thrilling at high speed. I felt more fear from the boat's speed while waiting in line with several groups of people. When flying, it was very enjoyable and made me feel elegant. It was a quick flight, and I wished I could fly longer. I purchased the photo data, and I was impressed by the images, which exceeded my expectations.

The basic English support was available, but there was also a Japanese explanation video for horseback riding, which I watched, so even though it was my first time riding, I quickly understood how to ride.
You wear a helmet while riding. You can leave your luggage in a locker and bring valuables and drinks with you (they lend you a pouch).
I was very satisfied with the experience as I could enjoy the scenery of both mountains and the sea in the great outdoors. The horses were also very well-behaved. It was a bit disappointing that the instructor's explanations about the location were often too far away to hear, but they took several photos for me and sent them to my smartphone. For lunch, I had fish and chips at the café inside Kualoa. It was delicious. I had some concerns after reading reviews that mentioned having too much free time, but I ended up not having enough time as I was busy looking at souvenirs.

Overall, this experience was awesome! The sandbar was about a 3 mile kayak away from where you dock. Not super difficult, took us about 30-40 minutes to get there and once we did, it was awesome. the tide was a little high, the water went up to just below my neck and I'm 6 feet tall. We went out at 11 am. There's not much to see snorkel-wise at the sandbar, which was relayed to us by the staff setting us up. It was just a nice place to stand in the middle of the ocean and have a snack or two. They were also clear on where go on the sand bar and where the restricted zone was.

After the sandbar we went out to the coral reefs just around the corner of where we started. By then though, the sun wasn't too bright (it was a gloomy-ish day). we could only see maybe 10 feet in front of us in the water and all the fish were either hiding or just not there. Coral was nice to see and swim around though. Saw sea turtles in the distance but none in the water while we were in it. Finding the snorkel zones were actually pretty difficult. We spent about 20-30 minutes finding good spots, but there are no markers out there so I'm not even sure if we were in the spots they marked on the map. Only 2 other kayakers came to this area, tried looking around but all gave up after maybe 5-10 minutes.

Still had fun overall though, would do it again. Hopefully they add markers out of the water next time though.

We heard we had to try snorkeling on our first trip to Hawaii but neither of us are super-confident swimmers, especially not in the ocean. If that sounds like you, START HERE. This snorkeling experience ended up being just right for two reasons 1) excellent instructor, Zola and 2) excellent location, Magic Island Lagoon. I was excited to try snorkeling, but when it came time to put the mask on, stick my face in the water, and breathe - I couldn't do it. After patient and friendly coaching from Zola, I was finally floating around and breathing under water. I owe it to Zola that I felt ready to sign up for another, more challenging, snorkeling tour later in the week where I got to see more fish and turtles. The location is this peaceful, blue and beautiful lagoon that's protected from the ocean's strongest waves by a barrier. The water is clear and just lovely to swim in. I would go back just to enjoy the beach.

I had previously been taken care of a few times, and this time I requested private lessons for my daughter, who just started elementary school (7 years old)! She was a bit scared at first, but Matt-sensei taught her in a fun way, and before we knew it, she was doing nice rides multiple times! Despite being scared and cold, it seems she had a great time.

I was also able to ride a few times nearby with a board I rented separately, which became a wonderful memory.

Since they incorporate some Japanese while standing, I think even those who can't communicate in English can enjoy it enough. I want to go to Hawaii again soon; thank you for your help next time as well!

Chief's Luau - Polynesian Show with Authentic Award-Winning Fire Knife Dancing

The show was overall good, especially the fire dance at the end. And the chief is quite talented because he needs to run the show, tell jokes and play drums.

Anyway,
This luau is inside the water park, and we use the restroom inside the water park which is a 5 minutes away from the luau place. Before the sun goes down, it’s very hot and sweaty. And we don’t have much space while seating. The experience was not pleasant.

Also, after everyone takes a picture and ready to seat down, they give u a cup of mai tai and takes one of the drink tickets. Don’t take that Mai Tai drink right away, just go to the bar section for the drinks.

And there are one thing I can’t figure it out, before the buffet starts, they showed us a roast pig and said this is gonna be one of the main course tonight. And everyone go line up for the buffet, the only dish pork-related is the pull pork which has nothing to do with the roast pig for sure. And they didn’t cut the roast pig in front of everyone. It looks like the roast pig is one of the actor for the luau.

For the price we are paying, we expect more.

Our guide was the nicest and most welcoming guide with a good sense of humor. He also took so many photos and videos of us along the way and AirDropped them to us afterwards without anyone even asking him too. Also the ATV riding was awesome and everybody needs to make sure they take a turn to drive. Just don’t be like my wife and wear a white tee if you ever expect to wear it white again as the red dirt will do a number on it. 100% we will be doing this again next time we are in Hawaii and will recommend this to everyone.

I signed up for a 150m course at the request of my 13-year-old niece. I was initially worried since it was about the height of a five-story building, but the wind was stable, so it wasn't as scary as I thought. The view was, of course, amazing! The guide made jokes and interacted with us, making the time on the boat enjoyable. You can fly while holding a selfie stick.

I thought the meeting place was a bit hard to find, but they sent a Google Maps link in the final instructions, so I was able to arrive without getting lost.

It's a unique experience, and I'm glad I did it! Highly recommended!
