I made a reservation the day before on a whim! We traveled as a group on a small boat. I was a bit anxious because the experience reviews mentioned that motion sickness medication was essential, but the weather was nice, and while watching others fly and chatting with the staff, the time flew by, and I didn't feel sick at all! We thoroughly enjoyed this entire experience. The ship and crew was outstanding and the ability to do 'off shore' sandbar stopover with BBQ lunch and snorkeling was terrific. Although we had a rental car, we opted to take advantage of their transportation (a bus) and that was a real plus with door-to-door service. And although the bus was filled to capacity, on arrival they broke into two groups with two sailing vessels but stayed in tandem. The ships were in top shape and the onboard restrooms clean and stocked.

The sandbar experience was wonderful permitting amazing photos with Oahu mountains in the background. The crew was outgoing, mixing with the guests and ensuring all was safe and fun. The BBQ was ample and tasty, and the included and optional drinks wide ranging. The tour allowed plenty of time for all phases including the snorkeling...never feeling rushed with lots of time for exploration along the reef. The fish were plentiful and the coral in good condition. The crew was environmentally conscientious and took extra care in entering and existing the ship while snorkeling (with an onboard fresh water rinse afterwards). Their snorkel gear appeared new with ample numbers of swim jackets.

I highly recommend booking Captain Bob's...you won't regret it.

I couldn't believe that there was a zip line in Kapolei, where I usually go shopping, and I was skeptical at first, but it turned out there was one. I discovered this valley! I had a wonderful experience utilizing the height difference. I was in a team with an American family with a 4-year-old, and we had a great time. The highlight was the thoughtfulness of the young instructor. From the simple speaker attached to our bodies, Japanese music played when we were challenging ourselves, and American music played when the American family was up. I was so impressed by such careful consideration. It was a great value and an absolutely fantastic experience.

It's a refreshing activity! You drive yourself and glide through vast areas. We had eight vehicles lined up, with one guide watching over every three. I felt safe driving. The guide was great at keeping everyone excited and was always smiling! Although the guidance was in English, I managed to keep up. I drove through a canyon that felt like it could have dinosaurs, something you don't see in Japan. It was fun to drive an open buggy on a bumpy road, which I usually don't do. The speed was intentionally limited, and it felt like we were always in low gear. We didn't stop at every photo spot, but we did have some time to take pictures in beautiful locations.

You can fully enjoy the nature of Hawaii. It was very fun to visit the filming locations of movies. Since the guide's explanations were all in English, I couldn't understand everything. During the photo time, we were the only Japanese people, so the guide talked to us and was considerate. If you have a driver's license, you can drive, so we were able to take turns driving. Having a pick-up service was also helpful. The driver guided us while driving as well. However, the waiting time until the pick-up was long.

We thought his luau was be dry boring and the show was not entertaining. We also are a younger couple it seemed maybe more geared toward older folks we called it the “retirement home luau” it was pretty disappointing for the last day of the trip. Also the food was a pre-fixed menu where u were waited on but for a picky eater it was not a good choice. I also went pregnant and the main appetizer was raw fish. I also don’t eat beef so all I was able to have was two tiny pieces of chicken and a small scoop of rice which was very mid. With two shrimps only. We both left hungry from a luau! Which is crazy it is supposed to be plentiful in food.

It was said to be a day with calm waves, but I still felt the rocking of the boat. However, the large, slow swaying after we ascended was more challenging for me, as I have a weak vestibular system. While I endured it, I received the title of today's champion from the staff during the docking, which made me laugh.

The scenery was beautiful, and my partner had a great time. It was a good experience.

Although it was unfortunately a cloudy day, I was able to ride horses around Kualoa Ranch. Riding for about an hour made my backside sore, but it was a wonderful experience. It took over an hour to get from Waikiki to Kualoa Ranch by shuttle bus, but since it was a large tour bus, I was able to sleep soundly without any bumps. The guide who accompanied us on the horseback riding took a photo of me on the horse, but when I looked back later, for some reason, none of the photos were taken, and it's a shame that I don't have any pictures from the ride.

I had a great time. The ocean was very beautiful and amazing! In the morning, I jumped off the diving rock (it was quite impressive), enjoyed snorkeling, and had a blast in the water. In the afternoon, I did stand-up paddleboarding and strolled around Haleiwa a bit. I was able to play a lot throughout the day.

Everything was in English, so it might be difficult if you can't speak it at all, but the staff were very kind.
