We took a boat to the point, so if you're prone to seasickness, it's better to take some medication. The staff were fun, and both of us had a blast. I highly recommend this activity. You can also get photos taken, but there is a fee for that.

As for the lesson itself, we used a board that was significantly longer than usual. This time, my wife and I challenged ourselves to 150m of parasailing. To put it simply, it was incredibly high. However, both my wife and I are completely fine with heights, so the view of Waikiki from above was absolutely beautiful. If you're comfortable with heights, I highly recommend trying the 150m experience. The beauty there exceeds expectations.

Also, you will definitely end up splashing into the sea at the end. (laughs) Wearing a swimsuit is a must. I also think it's a good idea to wear a T-shirt that you don't mind getting wet. Since you will get wet, it's best to bring a change of clothes as well. The two instructors could speak a little Japanese, which was reassuring.

And since it's Hawaii, you will be expected to give a tip at the end. I would say around $10 to $20 each.

It was amazing! My husband, daughter, and I participated together. Since we were there, we chose the 150m option. I experienced the 150m course! We arrived at the departure point in about 15 minutes by shared van. From there, we headed out to sea for about 10 minutes by boat to start the activity. I wore a shirt over my swimsuit and off we went into the sky! I thought it might be a little scary, but it was incredibly pleasant and so much fun! The guide also explained things in broken Japanese. The view of the beautiful sea from up high was amazing!

Paradise Cove Luau on the Beach at Ko Olina Resort

My wife and I for our 1-year wedding anniversary decided upon the Paradise Cove Luau out of a few different choices. After speaking with locals and drivers on the island, this one seems to be the favorite. We were picked up from a close-by location in Wakiki, taken to Paradise Cove and from there, it was smooth and fun times!

PROS: Overall experience was great! Our bus guide (Sexy T) was fun-loving, funny, and made the drive out to the cove enjoyable. The luau itself includes spear throwing, traditional games, pictures (for purchase towards the end but free to participate), a short cove canoe ride, gift shop, crafts both to make and pre-made for sale, and many other activities. The food was second-to-none, buffet style and DELICIOUS. Coming from a southern guy, the pork was the best and I know good BBQ. The luau show was entertaining and keeps your attention.

CONS: The cove card is nice, pays for 1-3 drinks depending on the money placed on there (which depends on your package), but with any venue event, the drinks are pricey but, in my opinion, strong enough to be worth the money. I only list this as a con because this is not an all-you-can-drink event. Adding this option would be nice for those guests that wish to imbibe.

As for seating, we went with the Standard Package (cheapest) and lucked up with excellent seats that were very close to the stage. There is a greater likelihood for poorer seats with the Standard Package, so if you want to ensure a good view, upgrade to the middle option.

All-in-all, fantastic experience and a must-see for all Hawaii travelers, especially first-timers like us!

Hawaiian Parasailing Tour & Adventure from Waikiki Beach [800ft & 1000ft Lines]

I'll keep this short and sweet as possible: This experience was AMAZING. My wife and I were in Hawaii for our 1-year wedding anniversary. As neither of us had ever gone parasailing before, we decided to give it a shot and it was an absolute blast.

PROS: The tours guides (the captains, I feel bad for not remember their names), boat, instruction, comfort of harnesses, and safety were all 5 stars! The view was incredible. Coming from two guests that had never done this before, it's safe to say that we loved the experience and will definitely use this company in the future. For those of you wondering, splurge and get the boat pictures. They offer this service at $30 and it is well worth it considering the amount of pictures you get on a SD card to take home!

CONS: Only 1, but worth mentioning. We booked the 800ft (8 minute) parasailing trip. From our GoPro, we were only in the air for about 6 minutes and 30 seconds. BUT WHO CARES! I only say this because we could have enjoyed 20 minutes in the air! Easily one of the most incredible experiences we have had!

I think it was the right decision to choose this show over the Sunset Dinner Cruise, traditional luau show, and magic show. The Royal Hawaiian Theater is located on the 4th floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center, Building C. My husband and I booked the backstage tour + VIP dinner (front row table seats). We entered at 6 PM and were taken to a room with sofas where we took commemorative photos with a Michael Jackson impersonator, and after enjoying champagne and snacks, we were given a tour of the actual stage and received explanations about the stage setup.

After that, we had our meal at a table in the first-floor audience area. Our seats were in the center of the front row. The seating arrangement on the first floor was for tables associated with the dinner courses, with the front row reserved for the backstage + VIP dinner course, followed by the VIP dinner course seats behind them. Other course guests were seated on the second floor (without tables).

The meal included shrimp, salmon, and beef steak, along with drinks. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but to my surprise, it was very delicious. The beef steak was a generous size for Japanese people.

The stage featured about eight beautiful female dancers and six male dancers who performed in rotation, including hula dancing and dances to the music. There was also fire dancing. The impersonators of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson were quite impressive, making for a packed and entertaining show. I had previously seen a popular transgender show in Hong Kong, which only featured lip-syncing to karaoke music, but this was a live performance with two drum sets, electric guitar, bass, and more. I'm not very knowledgeable about music, but I had a great time.

One concern I would like to mention is that the guests in the first-floor seating were still finishing their meals when the guests from the second floor came in, which wasn't pleasant for either party. I hope this point can be improved.

If your budget allows, I recommend choosing the dinner course, as it brings you closer to the stage, and the dancers come right in front of you for photos, plus the food is delicious, leading to a high level of satisfaction.

　ステージは、美女約８人、男性約６人のダンサーが入れ替わり立ち代わり出演し、フラダンスあり、曲に合わせたダンスあり。ファイヤーダンスあり。プレスリーとマイケル・ジャクソンのそっくりさんもなかなかのもので飽きさせない盛りだくさんのものでした。以前に香港で人気のニューハーフショーを見たのですが、それは口パクでカラオケの音楽で踊るだけだったのですが、これは、生演奏です。ドラム２セット、エレキ、ベースなど。私は音楽には詳しくありませんが、非常に楽しむことができました。

I had an absolutely amazing time! (laughs)

I was quite nervous at first, but thanks to the kind staff, I was able to ride without any issues after just a 5-minute briefing. There were ups and downs, and suddenly we passed through a tunnel in the forest that felt like something out of My Neighbor Totoro, riding on horseback. We climbed rocky areas while keeping an eye on free-range cows—it was quite an adventure! Surprisingly, my backside didn't hurt much at all. I kept saying how fun and interesting it was, and even though the experience was supposed to last an hour, they let us ride for about an hour and a half!

They only spoke English, but they talked slowly and clearly, which actually made it feel more authentic. There were just the two of us and another group, so it felt like a private experience! It had more of a Western vibe than a Hawaiian one, though... (laughs)

Above all, the horses were great, and the danger level was zero (☆∀☆). My wife, who doesn't like animals, was able to pet them normally and felt comfortable! If you sign a waiver for accidents beforehand, you can ride without a helmet (laughs). This explanation was a bit complicated, though...

It was truly a wonderful experience that made me feel like I had the great outdoors all to myself and made me love horses even more!

It was so much fun!! We went with a group of six people, three couples in total. My husband and the husband of the other couple are both afraid of heights and the ocean, and before getting on, they were saying, "I'm scared... I really don't want to do this..." Since my husband was busy, I mostly searched for and decided on the optional tours myself. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from the show; my main goal was dinner. As I researched, I realized that Hawaii is quite expensive. Even a little drink and food at a casual restaurant could easily cost around $50 per person... So, considering the price with the show included, I thought it might be worth it, especially since the reviews were good, and I made the reservation almost on my own.

We chose the most expensive option, the Green Room. First, we were taken to the VIP room, where a beautiful woman welcomed us with a pre-dinner drink and pupu (snacks). Then, Elvis made a grand entrance for a photo opportunity before swiftly leaving, but unfortunately, he didn't resemble him much. While we were waiting, another man appeared to guide us backstage, explaining the dancers' costumes and props as he walked us through the narrow backstage area. I was surprised by how heavy the costumes and props were.

After that, we were shown to our table, right in the front and center. Lobster was already on the table. We enjoyed drinks and the dishes that were brought out one after another. I'm sorry to say that the taste of all the meals, starting from the first pupu, was disappointing (the steak and dessert, the pineapple ice, were delicious).

Once we finished our leisurely dinner, it was showtime. Suddenly, someone descended from above, which surprised us! The Hawaiian show began. The dancers were all handsome and beautiful, and of course, their dancing was wonderful! With Hawaiian music playing, we really felt like we were in Hawaii, and then Elvis appeared again. まずVIPルームに通され、美しい女性に食前酒とププ(おつまみ)でもてなされ、そこへ颯爽とプレスリーが登場し記念写真を撮ってまた颯爽と去って行きましたが残念ながら似ていませんでした。そうこうしていると、別の男性がバックステージの案内に現れて、ダンサーの衣装や小道具の説明をしながら狭いステージ裏を回ります。思いのほか衣装や小道具が重かったのには驚きでした。

それが終わってテーブル席に案内されると、1番前のど真ん中。
すでにロブスターがテーブルに。ドリンクをいただき、次々に運ばれてくるお料理。
ごめんなさい、最初のpupuに始まり全てのお食事の味は残念でした。(ステーキとデザートのパインアイスは美味しかった)

ゆっくりディナーが終わると、ショータイムです。
すると突然上から人がスルスル降りてきてビックリ！ハワイアンショーの始まりです。ダンサーは美男美女揃いで、もちろん踊りも素晴らしい！
ハワイアンミュージックで、ハワイに来たんだ感が盛り上がったところで、さっきのプレスリー登場。
マイケルも登場！子供の時のマイケルに似てました(^_^)
ここまで、けっこう盛りだくさんのショーの後半、突然火の棒を持った人が現れます。
ファイアーナイフダンスは、本当に息を飲む迫力です。
最後に、全員でALOHA〜と手を振りお別れ。
本当のところソックリさんはあまり似ていないし、そもそもプレスリーを知らない人もいるけれど、パフォーマンスは最高です。
エンターテインメントとしては充分楽しめるもので、期待していなかった分余計に感動しました。
帰りに、出来上がったプレスリーとの写真をいただき、出口で出演者たちとお別れ。
この写真は、他のコースの方達は別に25払っていたので込み込みのこちらの方がお得かもしれません。
さらに、私達はモニター体験で申し込んだので、お得感倍増です。

ただ、お食事が残念で星１つマイナスしましたが、それもハワイらしさと思えば良いのでしょう。
初めこのツアーにそれほど乗り気ではなかった夫の方が、私よりも感激していました(^_^)
ハワイ初めての方はハワイを満喫、何度目かの方も素晴らしいショーを堪能できるのでおススメです。

Although a very long day on the bus and limited stops due to narrow roads and busy traffic, when we were able to stop at certain locations it was absolutely breathtaking.

To really take in the full affect of the drop and photos over the cliff, I would suggest sitting on the left side of the bus if you’re able. Make sure you have a strong stomach, aren’t afraid of heights and able to withstand the winding roads, the photos you capture on this trip are well worth the adventure

I was anxious because I'm not good at English, but it was fine since they spoke to me in broken Japanese! They had consent forms and instructions available in Japanese, so I think it's totally okay even if you can't speak any English. I went flying with my 67-year-old mother at 120 meters, and she was thrilled because it wasn't scary and was just the right height. However, the boat swayed quite a bit! I tend to get motion sickness, so even after taking motion sickness medication, I felt nauseous by the end. If you're prone to motion sickness, definitely take strong medication! They asked each group, "Do you want to take photos?" with a telephoto camera, so if you say no, you won't be photographed. It seemed like you could buy the photos on the way back if you asked. It was written that you could choose whether to land in the water or not, but no one was asked, and everyone landed in the water, which was a bit disappointing. It felt uncomfortable to get into the car while still wet. At the end, they said, "If you had a good time, please give a tip," so everyone was giving $20. I think it's good to prepare that in advance. Since it finishes in the morning, you have the whole afternoon free. The content and schedule were great!
