We have snorkeled at the circular-shaped shore of Hanauma Bay on the southeast tip of East Honolulu, you can imagine how this beautiful cove was once a volcanic crater. Today, this crater, likely flooded by wave erosion, is home to an important nature preserve and the island's most popular snorkeling destination.

Our snorkeling trip was arranged by Hawaiiactivities.com and they were quite professional people with prompt responses and is very customer oriented. They arranged Mr. Dan to train us snorkeling. Mr. Dan is best instructor you can have in Honolulu as he explained every steps in a legible and understandable way. He has snorkled with us for many hours.

Whether you’re snorkeling a natural or artificial reef, at the beach or along the mangroves, you’ll discover amazing underwater creatures. Look at (but don’t touch) the vibrant yellow and red coral canyons and purple sea fans swaying in the ocean’s current. Coral is actually alive and it’s extremely delicate. Touching coral is detrimental to its health and can also be dangerous. It’s actually related to the jellyfish and can provide a sharp sting, burn, or cut when touched. A good rule of thumb is to stay in water that’s at least six feet deep while snorkeling over coral.

Look for tropical fish including yellowtail snapper, parrotfish, angelfish, blue tang, grouper, and hogfish. We have come across with Turtle who is is not afraid to swim with us. With such a thriving and diverse ecosystem, there’s nearly as much to discover underwater in Hawaii as there is on land!

Dan took pictures with his under water camera. It was lots of fun. Dan brought snacks, drinks, etc. too. On the way back Dan shared lot of information on best shows and tours in Hawaii. We had a great time and will definitely go again if I'm ever in Hawaii.

This was my first time snorkeling and I came from Canada to visit Hawaii. It was a beautiful experience just because we have a great instructor Mr. Dan through Hawaiiactivities.com. We came to know him through this website. Dan started with all basic instruction and shown all steps for snorkeling in detail. He has snorkeled with us and kept my kids together and safe.


It was a magic day of snorkelling in the biggest coral reef on earth. Thousands of colorful fish in the warm water. Thanks a lot to Dan You're part of memories of a life time.

Dan brought all safety devices and snorkeling equipment. He adjusted the equipment to fit very well with each of us. As my kids were not good at swimming, Dan took much patience to train them. He brought mats and drinks to relax before getting into sea.

I saw dozens of very large angelfish, parrotfish (Blue, Queen, and Stoplight), as well as many species of damselfish and butterfly fish, Sergeant Majors, Yellowtail Snapper, and I even saw a Longspine Squirrelfish! It was an absolutely perfect day.

The water was very clear. At one point I was surrounded by hundreds of fishes all swimming calmly in one direction (schooling). All of a sudden they parted (odd, because I had been swimming with them for several minutes without them seeming to notice), and I saw the most awesome and colorful fish I've ever seen in my life swim 5 ft directly under me! I thought about was how every now and then you hear stories about HUGE catfish the size of Buicks at the bottom of deep lakes.


That being said, you can imagine my initial hesitation on the day of my snorkelling experience at I might have started out a little nervous, but I can tell you right now—it ended up being my absolute favorite experience on the trip.

Don't just settle for the ocean in Hawaii! I was greedy and went to the pool. Since there was a shuttle service, we went straight from the hotel to the pool. Choosing the plan that included meals and drinks on-site was definitely the right choice!

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a large-sized juice holder as a gift, which was great for carrying around. Also, my partner's first bodyboarding experience was hilarious! In the end, they managed to ride the board well (^o^).

I highly recommend this for families with small children. Sunscreen and comfortable beach sandals are essential items.

ハワイの海だけではもったいない！と欲張ってプールへ。送迎付きなのでホテルからプールまで直行。施設内の食事＆飲み物付プランを選んで正解！
なんとラージサイズ以上のジュースホルダーがプレゼントされ、どこへでも持ち運びできるのが良かったです。

As you check in and arrive to the pier, you will be entertained with a Hula performance. You will then be directed with a pleasantly helpful staff to seat you with your tossed salad ready to be consumed. Also you will then receive a welcome Mai Tai which is very addicting and may cause you to purchase more. I had 4 of them. The all you can eat crab legs, steak, and macadamia nut ice cream was amazing. As the sun started to set, I found myself in a very relaxing area of the top deck. I was taking in the views of the ocean, land, and skies as I was just about ready to call it a night. Until we just about to reach the dock, all their employees started a party and danced like crazy. My date is not much of a dancer, but she enjoyed watching me entertain everyone. This night was a night to remember especially the service provided the staff on board. They will make sure you are always satisfied.

The shuttle service to the hotel was convenient.
There were three groups of Japanese and one group of Americans, and we chose the 120m option.
On the way up, there was a strong wind, and it felt like we were over 120m high. I considered the 150m option, but the 120m was plenty of fun.

The final splash in the sea was nice, as it only reached my shins.

I declined the $30 photo shoot and asked a Japanese person to take pictures with my digital camera.

The boat rocked quite a bit, so it might be a good idea to take motion sickness medication.

The boat staff were very friendly, which was reassuring.

He was very knowledgable and showed us a lot of interesting things and explained to us what we were being shown. Timely pick-up, great folks, and tasty food. Oh, and did I mention dolphins! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can say that this is by far the best dolphin snorkel I've been on. I got my gear within 5 minutes of check-in and put in my lunch choice. Dolphin Excursions is an educationally based tour company and some of the people there are marine biologists. They seemed to read the behavior of the dolphins very well. The baby spinner dolphins are super cute! This is a great time of year because the dolphins are having babies so they are fun to watch. We went out about 3 times to snorkel, twice with the dolphins so close. I have never seen so many dolphins with me in the water, and you can even hear them 'singing' before you see them. When we got back, lunch was already made. The food is great at Spinner's Cafe, and the people are courteous. I had a great time and can say that many others did as well.

We participated as a family of four. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the pickup, so we didn't have enough time, which was very disappointing. We had kayaking, bodyboarding, and snorkeling included, but we couldn't do everything. For kayaking, we were upgraded to a guided tour as compensation for the trouble, and the guide was kind and made it enjoyable. However, it was very difficult for each of us to carry the kayak from the office to the beach.

Because of that, we ran out of time, and with only an hour left, we had lunch on the beach and managed to squeeze in about ten minutes of bodyboarding. We chose BBQ chicken for lunch, and it was very delicious. The guide told us that there were no coral reefs suitable for snorkeling at that beach, and since we were looking forward to it, it was really disappointing that we couldn't do it due to the lack of time. I think if we had more time, we would have enjoyed it much more.

I had learned about the sandbar from magazines and television, and I was really looking forward to visiting it at least once. Initially, I had signed up with a different tour company, but since it was fully booked, I switched to this tour, and it was the right decision. The sandbar, with its white sand emerging from the marine blue sea, was even more beautiful and mystical than I had imagined. It felt very strange to be walking on the water. The sea turtles swimming leisurely were adorable. Above all, the crew made a strong impression. They were friendly, cheerful, energetic, and had wonderful smiles, just like the sun and sea of Hawaii. There was an old man with white hair and a bald head among us guests, and they seemed to feel sorry for him, treating him with care. Thank you, Yukiko. I participated with my boyfriend and four friends. It was my first time paragliding, and it was amazing to soar over the beautiful ocean in Hawaii (^o^) When I was making the reservation, I was really torn about which height to choose, and I decided to go for the challenging 120 meters. However, when I actually flew, I thought there wasn't much difference between 120 meters and 80 meters. But my friends, who were watching from the boat, said it was completely different! (laughs) The male tour guides were very enthusiastic and fun, even playfully dropping us into the sea before we took off, which added to the excitement. We also requested photos for $30 for the four of us, and they took beautiful, clear pictures that we couldn't have captured with our smartphones, so we were very satisfied. The tour ended in an hour and a half, and having transportation included made it easy to plan our next activities.

In the first half, we played at the beach, and in the second half, we assembled the kayaks. The part where we went to the uninhabited island by kayak was sufficient for beginners in terms of physical strength and safety. It really sparked a sense of adventure, and the view from the uninhabited island was wonderful. Yasuyo, the Japanese woman who guided us, provided excellent explanations. However, due to traffic in the morning, the pickup was delayed, and we only had about 30 minutes to enjoy the beach activities (like snorkeling), and we didn't have enough time for meals; we needed about 40 more minutes. The kayaking in the second half was quite good, so I rated it 4.5 out of 5.

I would like a bit more time for activities since there is a set pick-up time. The pick-up time is fine, but I would prefer the return drop-off to be around 4:00 PM! I was very satisfied with the staff's service and had a great time.

Since I was in Hawaii, enjoying the beautiful tropical sea, I decided to try the classic activity of parasailing! I went for the extreme ride at 150 meters! It was thrilling when we were deliberately dropped into the sea as we left the boat! The vast blue ocean and the distant view of Honolulu were breathtaking, making me feel at ease despite the height. I highly recommend this experience if you visit a southern island.

However, I was disappointed that the photo service provided by the staff did not include the pictures I was hoping for on the CD-R we received at the end.

Since my child is small, I was a bit anxious about interacting with wild dolphins, so we participated in this tour. We were able to touch the dolphins and even received kisses from them, making it a fun experience without any fear. While waiting, we could take photos in front of the pool, so even the older brothers who didn't sign up for the dolphin interaction tour were not bored. It was also nice that we could freely explore the park afterward.

小さい子供なので、野生のイルカとは、少し不安があったので、こちらのツアーで参加させて頂きました。
イルカに触る事が出来て、キスしてもらったりで、怖がる事なく、楽しい体験になりました。見学するのも、プール前で、写真撮影しながら待てたりと
イルカと遊ぶツアーに、申し込みしてないお兄ちゃん達も、退屈せず待てました。
後は、自由に、パークを回る事も出来て良かったです。
