I booked the Kailua Beach tour again this year. Last year, I signed up for stand-up paddleboarding, but this year we decided to relax on the beach, so we opted for the beach items and lunch package. We rented bikes on-site and first cycled to Lanikai Beach; the view from the high point was amazing, and the breeze felt great. After that, we relaxed at Kailua Beach until lunchtime! For lunch, we had pizza recommended by the local staff! The size was surprising. The taste was quite good too! After lunch, we cycled towards the town. Last year, we got pancakes to-go from Boots & Kimo's (takeout is quick and recommended by the local staff), but this year we ate crepes at Crepes No Ka Oi next door. The crepes here were also quite filling. Kailua is a very pleasant town to bike through.

This was my first time surfing, and I was worried about whether I could do it, but there were about 20 people in the group with around 5 instructors who helped push us when the waves came. They also gave us signals like, "Come on, come on! Stand up!" By the third try, I started to get the hang of it and was able to ride the waves! The instructors were all friendly, and some of them spoke Japanese, which made me feel at ease. I definitely want to do this again next year! ☆

We had dinner here on the second day of our tour.

It was a bit far from the hotel, but we took the free bus to get here. Since there were fireworks that day, we arrived early and requested a window seat, and they prepared a nice spot for us.

Although it was a little far from the fireworks launch site, we were able to enjoy the view well. However, I couldn't take good photos with my smartphone.

As for the food, I wasn't expecting much from the buffet, but there was a variety of meat and crab. If I had to criticize, the desserts were a bit lacking.

The crab was particularly popular, and it disappeared quickly when we went to get some, but they replenished it quickly, so we didn't have any issues.

I was a bit anxious since I had a child with me, but the sandbar was shallow enough for my 2-year-old to enjoy, and we even got to see sea turtles, which was so exciting! The guide was very considerate, and we were in a great mood the whole time! I was also happy that they actively took photos for us!

Snorkeling was a bit too early for my 2-year-old, so we took turns enjoying it. The food was delicious, and having unlimited drinks was great too.

It was one of a kind tour. The Sand bar was very mesmerizing. Great views all around. The volleyball we played was super fun.

Turtle watching was good but not outstanding. We were able to spot a few.

However the highlight was snorkeling. Great location choosen for the activity. Amazing variety of fishes and plantlife was spotted while snorkeling.

I loved the tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone in Oahu.

This was my first time participating. It's a place I've always wanted to visit, but somehow I never had the chance to go.
This area can be visited individually, but I definitely recommend going on a guided tour. They provide necessary items (disposable raincoats, waist pouches, walking sticks, water, snack bars, etc.), and they explain various things during the drive and while trekking.
The guide this time primarily spoke English, but occasionally included some Japanese, so it was never boring.
Even if it's sunny in Waikiki, it can be raining just a short 20-minute distance away. Sneakers are a must for your feet.
I want to go again.

I wonder if they would take pictures if requested, although it might be an additional charge. We don't have any photos of us on the canoe, and while it remains a nice memory, I think it would have been great to have some, especially since we were with a child.

Our guides were really patient and very good at what they do. Not only do they make the whole gearing up and organizing details easy they taught my 6 year old daughter to snorkel and she actually did it! She is shy and was refusing for weeks, telling me she would not snorkel and I was quite prepared to sit on the beach with her but they wasted no time in teaching her directly 1 on 1 and getting her to put her face in the water while I got to snorkel close by. It was really great and she loved it, I loved it and the rest of the family did too. We saw beautiful fish and spent the time all pointing at things and saying "look" under water. A great day! Thank you so much!

When I went to the sandbar, where the water gets about 10 centimeters deep, I was surprised to see a honu (sea turtle) appear! This was my first honu encounter this time. During the cruise, I saw about 6 to 7 honu. The hamburgers for lunch were freshly grilled on the boat and were delicious. The snorkeling spot was filled with colorful fish, and I enjoyed it, but unfortunately, I couldn't swim with the honu due to bad timing. The staff were very friendly and helped me enjoy the Hawaiian sea after a long time.

This was a place I had wanted to visit since I saw it in photos. I participated in this tour and was very satisfied.

There were two boats. One was exclusively for Japanese people, and the other was for people from other countries, as there were many Japanese participants. The main staff were also Japanese (Yuki was wonderful!) and they made the tour lively with their guidance and fun conversations. Even though other staff members weren't fluent in Japanese, they were all very friendly, engaging with everyone and making an effort to enhance the experience. This tour is perfectly fine even if you can't speak English.

The water level at the sandbar was higher than I expected, but the white sandy beach of coral that emerges in the middle of the ocean and the color contrast with the deep sea was something I had never seen before; it was truly beautiful and moving. I sincerely wished I had a camera-equipped drone. I will definitely bring one next time!

The BBQ hamburger for lunch was delicious, with a thick patty. Alcohol was $5 per drink (settled at the end), and soft drinks were unlimited. It was explained that there was a minimum of $20 for purchasing alcohol with a credit card.

As for turtle watching, since they are not domesticated, I think it's a matter of luck. However, I was able to see them several times. Snorkeling takes place in areas where you can't touch the bottom, but with life jackets, ropes to hold onto, and all the necessary fins and masks provided, it felt safe. When returning to the port or after snorkeling when getting back on the boat, it can get quite cold as the boat moves while you're still wet. Since there isn't much time to change before arriving at the port, I recommend bringing a large bath towel to wrap around yourself.

船は2隻。1隻は日本人専用ともう1隻はそれ以外の国の人たちに分けられるぐらいに、日本人が多かったです。メインスタッフの方も日本人で（Yukiさん素敵！）ガイドや楽しいお喋りでツアーを盛り上げてくれました。他のスタッフも日本語が堪能ではなくても、みんなに話しかけてくれたり気を使ってくれたり盛り上げてくれたりと、皆さん素敵な人達でした。英語話せなくても大丈夫なツアーです。

サンドバーの水位は思っていたよりもあったのですが、海のど真ん中に出てくるあの白いサンゴの砂浜と深い海の堺の色合いが、今まで見たことがないもので、本当に綺麗で感動しました。カメラ付きドローンを欲しかったと切実に思いました。次回は必ず！

ランチのBBQハンバーガーも、パティが分厚くて美味しかったです。アルコールは一杯5ドル（最後にまとめて清算）、ソフトドリンクは飲み放題でした。クレジットカードでアルコールを購入する人は、ミニマム20ドルと説明がありました。

カメウォッチングは、飼われている訳ではないので運だと思います。でも、何度か見ることが出来ました。シュノーケリングは、足が付かない場所でするのですが、ライフジャケットを付けたり、ロープにつかまったり、フィンやマスクなども完備なので安心です。ただ、結構流されるので泳ぎに自信がない人は少し大変かもしれません。海面とサンゴまでの距離が近いところの「まわり」を泳ぐのですが、サンゴに立たないでくださいと言われていながらも上を歩いている人がいてとても残念でした。日本語で説明してくれるツアーなので、綺麗な自然を守るためにも、ツアー参加する人たちにはちゃんと説明を聞いてルールを守って欲しいと思いました。

港へ帰る時やシュノーケリングが終わって船へ上がってからは、全身濡れている中船が走るので、結構寒いかと思います。着替える時間もなく港へ到着するので、大判のバスタオルなどを羽織ると良いかと思います。

船を降りる時にチップボックスがあるので、少し現金を持って行くと良いかと思います。日本人にはあまりなじみのないチップですが、良い時間を過ごせた、ありがとうという気持ちなので、ぜひ心遣いを渡して欲しいなと思います。スタッフの皆さん、ありがとうございました！
