The Makapu'u Lookout, included in other tours, is a viewpoint located at the base of this cape. While it offers beautiful scenery worth visiting on its own, the view towards the ocean is limited due to the small hill in the direction of the cape. The trail on this tour goes around that hill, and especially in the latter half, you walk along the cliffs towering over the vast ocean (the path is well-maintained, so it's not dangerous) and ascend to the highest point overlooking the lighthouse. The grandeur of the scenery along the way is incomparable to the lookout. You should definitely experience it.

This tour itself does not include any other sightseeing, just a round-trip shuttle to the trailhead, but I think it is the most convenient means of transportation from Waikiki to this trail.

If it wasn’t for our tour guide, Dave, our adventure would have been very unsatisfactory. There was far far too much driving. The caves were inaccessible for most of us as the rocks were slippery. The stairs were steep, and there weren’t enough hiking sticks to go around. we stopped for quite a bit of time just to have lunch, which to me was very unnecessary. A snack would’ve sufficed. Then we drove, which seemed to be forever to go see the most recent lava flow… Which was quite interesting but somewhat repetitive. Again, if it wasn’t for our tour guide, Dave, his personality, information and enthusiasm It would’ve been a bust. Again far far far too much driving for what we actually could get out and enjoy and see.

The most turbulent part was on the way to the point. Although you won't get completely soaked since you go up and down from the boat, the captain ensures that your feet get dipped in the sea at least once as part of the service. It was quieter up in the air than I expected. It was calm and stable♪ I thought I should have experienced this much sooner since it was so much fun.

Before boarding, it was unfortunately raining, but once we got on the boat, the rain stopped and we had clear skies. After enjoying stories from the captain and crew that heightened our excitement about possibly seeing whales, we headed to the deck. While we strained our eyes looking out to sea, we sadly didn’t spot any whales, perhaps they were on their New Year’s break. However, we were able to leisurely enjoy the views of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the ocean, making for a refreshing cruise. Due to scheduling conflicts, I didn’t receive the next free boarding voucher, but many others did. If the opportunity arises again, I would love to participate.

Our family enjoyed the UTV tour of Kualoa Ranch. Our guides, Raymond and Tony were great. Raymond with his lame jokes and Tony was great with the kids. The scenery at Kualoa Ranch is amazing, the ocean, the mountains and a filming location of many movies. Driving the UTV was fun for the adults and the kids enjoyed the bumpy ride on the off road tracks. Plenty of other activity options at Kualoa Ranch if UTV is not your thing.

I was quite satisfied as the tour lasted about two hours. I got to see stunning views and enjoyed visiting movie filming locations. The only downside was that the person at the reception didn't come to pick us up at the hotel, so it took a while to board the bus.

When we asked for one, the waiter said he would see if he could find one and never came back. There were also dinner rolls in the table for all except the child. We were told we had to share ours with him.

Cruise was ok.. but not worth the price. The food was ok as some was good and desserts were bad. It was a buffet so you can go back for second of u liked it. No need to dress up. Everyone was in shorts and beach type clothes. .. will I tell someone to do the cruise again- absolutely not. Keep your money. Now the sun set price on the boat was the best thing going it cost $30.. they give u a cool frame . But technically I had the same picture on my phone ..

Since it was December, there were times when the sun was hidden by clouds and it was a bit chilly right after coming out of the water, but I was able to enjoy seeing plenty of fish. I experienced the zip line at Kualoa Ranch last time, but this time it was many times more wonderful. Each line was longer and more thrilling than at Kualoa Ranch. The connecting activities like the buggy ride and the vertical drop were better than I expected. The staff were also kinder and friendlier than at Kualoa Ranch.
The downside is that you have to get to the local Kahuku by yourself, such as by rental car. If you have a rental car, you can enjoy a drive along the coastline from Waikiki, and you can also stop by Haleiwa on the way back, making your trip more efficient.
If you're considering the zip line at Kualoa Ranch, I recommend making the effort to choose Climb Works.

　前回クアロアランチでジップラインを体験しましたが、今回をその何倍以上も素晴らしかった。1本1本のラインがクアロアランチよりも長く、迫力がありました。繋ぎのアクティビティのバギー走行や垂直落下も予想以上に良かったです。スタッフもクアロアランチより親切でフレンドリーでした。
　短所は、現地カフクまでレンタカーなどで自力で行かなければならないことです。レンタカーがある場合はワイキキからドライブを兼ねて海岸線を走れるし、帰りにハレイワなどにも立ち寄れるので旅の効率も良いです。
　クアロアランチでジップラインを考えるなら、頑張ってクライムワークスを選ぶことをお勧めします。

The zip line was high and long, absolutely fantastic! Along the way, we cracked and ate macadamia nuts, and the initial transport was by buggy, so we had a variety of experiences. Although they were out of stock, it seems we could have eaten bananas if they were available.

The tour guide spoke only English, but it wasn't a problem since you can just watch what others are doing, and you don't really need detailed explanations.

You have to jump down from platforms about 10 meters high at two spots, so you’ll be jumping from a height (I’m not great with heights either, but the cable slows down your fall, so it was okay).

Since it was a plan without pickup, we went by rental car. I thought driving would be a hassle, but there are plenty of sightseeing spots around and all the way to Waikiki, and driving isn’t too complicated, so I recommend renting a car.

送迎なしプランだったのでレンタカーで行きました。運転面倒だなと思いましたが、周辺からワイキキまで沢山観光スポットがあるし、運転はそんなにややこしく無いので、レンタカーでもオススメです。

Although we didn't encounter any whales, the informative announcements about whales and the Hawaiian sea kept us entertained throughout the cruise. A free voucher for a re-challenge was issued, so I definitely want to return to Hawaii again.

Words or pictures cannot describe the beauty from this trip. The guide was also very friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and the checking in process was smooth.

My only disappointment was the transportation to the hotel. The driver was rude and unhappy. He also made numerous phone calls and was talking on what appeared to be personal matters for over an hour of our drive which felt very unprofessional and even unsafe. I contacted the company to share my experience and I appreciate they responded immediately. A bus of many tourists on vacation should not have to listen to their driver complaining about work. On top of that he never even greeted any of the passengers onboard - definitely not reflective of the drivers of any of my other excursions . Overall, experience at the valley was unbelievable. The UTVs are the way to go.

It was truly an amazing experience! The tour was led by a knowledgeable guide who explained everything in detail, allowing us to learn about Hawaii's nature and history. We also enjoyed driving off-road in buggies and navigating the hilly course at the playground. Getting covered in red dirt afterwards was also quite fun. Keola and Raymond were our guides! Keola was the main guide and only spoke English, so it might be tough if you can't understand English. However, Raymond speaks Japanese, so I look forward to future tours.
