I'm afraid of heights, but I made a reservation because my husband loves this kind of thing and I thought he would enjoy it. At first, I regretted it, but after doing the first practice run, I was surprisingly not scared at all and didn't feel like I was falling, which was a relief. After a while, the scenery was the same, and since there were trees around, it didn't feel high at all. I thought maybe halfway would be enough because I was tired, but it turned out to be a great experience that I'll remember for a lifetime.

It was cloudy on the day, but we changed the course a bit and enjoyed a scenic flight with beautiful views. We saw Waikiki and Diamond Head from above. Hanauma Bay was closed on the 25th for Christmas, so it was empty—amazing. We were able to enjoy a leisurely flight and even saw a rainbow. This course also allows you to experience piloting, so if you're interested, definitely give it a try. I would love to see it on a bluer day as well. Thank you again. I boarded the 10 AM tour with a guide who spoke Japanese.

Along the way, we saw sea turtles several times, which made both my children and my wife very happy. Of course, I was also extremely satisfied with the tour. My child said, "I want to ride again!"

The scenery on the way to where the submarine is docked was beautiful, and from the second floor of the boat, you can see Diamond Head, so I definitely recommend going to the second floor!

The ladder mentioned in the precautions for boarding the submarine is actually not a ladder but a staircase (imagine a steep, narrow staircase), and my 6-year-old child and my wife had no trouble getting on and off.

However, since it is quite steep, I think it is essential to follow the precautions that say to "wear sneakers" and "wear pants."

Considering the cost of living in Hawaii, I think the price is quite reasonable.

That said, I will point out three potential downsides that might be considered negatives by some people.

First, when gathering, you go to the counter inside the Hilton Hawaiian Village, but not much Japanese is spoken here. You check in at this counter, but you have to move to the boarding area for the boat on your own (it's very close, though).

You will see a boat with "Atlantis" written in large letters, so you should be able to find it, but please be aware that this is not the type of package tour where your name is called at the reception, and you walk together with the guide to the boarding area.

Also, while the 10 AM tour has a guide who speaks Japanese, I found that I could only understand about 50-60% of what was said in Japanese (laughs).

I’m not dissatisfied; it just feels very Hawaiian, but if you expect 100% perfect Japanese, you might be a bit disappointed (laughs).

Additionally, as mentioned in the tour precautions and many reviews, you will travel by boat from the boarding area to the submarine, and depending on the wind conditions that day, those who are sensitive may experience seasickness.

When passengers move from the boat to the submarine, the boat will naturally be docked close to the submarine, but it can also sway quite a bit, so there is a possibility of seasickness here as well.

I recommend that anyone who is worried about seasickness or is prone to motion sickness take anti-nausea medication in advance.

そんな中であえてマイナス点と言いますか、人によってはマイナス点になりそうな部分を3点挙げます。

まず集合の際、ヒルトンハワイアンビレッジ内のカウンターに行きますが、ここでは余り日本語が通じません。受付はまずこのカウンターで行いますが、船への乗船場所へは自身で移動します。（目と鼻の先ですが）

英語で大きく「Atlantis」と書かれた船が船着き場に来るので分かるとは思いますが、いわゆる日本人観光客御用達のパッケージツアーのように、受付の所で名前を呼ばれてガイドさんと共に船着き場までゾロゾロ行くタイプではないので気を付けてください。

また、10時の回は潜水艦のガイドさんが日本語をお話しされる、との事でしたが、確かに日本語でのガイドを直接してくださいますが5〜6割くらいしか理解できない日本語でした(笑)

不満ではありませんし、何ともハワイらしいな、と言う感想ですが、100％きれいな日本語を期待されて行くと肩透かしかもしれません(笑)

それと、ツアーの注意事項や多くのレビューでも書かれていますが、船着き場から潜水艦の所まで船で移動しますが、その日の風の状況により船が弱い人は船酔いする可能性があります。

また、船から潜水艦へお客さんが移動する際には当然船が潜水艦の近くに停泊するのですが、ここでも結構船が揺れますので、同様に船酔いする可能性があります。

船酔いが心配な人、乗り物酔いしやすい人は事前に必ず酔い止めを飲む事をオススメします。

Our hotel was the Alohilani Resort in Waikiki, which is about a 45-minute drive away, so we had to leave the hotel by at least 7:30. In the end, we took a taxi to the location (about $100 including tip). There are only two routes: one along the coast and the other through the mountains, and we chose the mountain route. Along the way, we encountered a typical morning rain in Hawaii, which made me think, "Oh no!" But by the time we arrived, it had completely cleared up and was sunny!

We quickly checked in and were told to come to the buggy boarding area by 9:15. We stored our belongings in a locker for $5, which we could open and close multiple times. バギー乗り場で10分もない日本語のＤＶＤを見て　ヘルメットを選びいよいよ乗ります。私たちは汚れてもいいスニーカーでしたが　そうでない方々はクロックスのようなものを借りてました（無料）出国前に他の体験談を読んで　私と高校生の娘は運転できないのでは…と心配でしたが　全く問題なく運転できました。私たちとオーストリアから来た夫婦と6人で回りました。ロケ地もＵＳＪやディズニー程ではないですが面白かったし　途中の牧場も牛がバギーが通るまでちゃんと止まってくれますし　何しろ自然が雄大で眺めも飽きません。スタッフさんもおもしろ動画を作ってくれたり　とてもいいかたでした。
終わってちょうどランチタイムなので　レストランで私と娘はハンバーガー、主人は照り焼きソースを絡めたステーキセットを注文。お肉は放牧されている牛のもの。これもおいしかったですよ！
帰りは路線バスを利用。昼間は1時間2本あるようで　それでも時間どうりにには来ません。ここはハワイアンタイム！30分くらい待ったでしょうか。ようやく乗って、アラモアナまで、1時間。一人＄5.25。来た道と同じルートでワイキキまで。途中ローカルの方々が乗り降りして　車内もきれいでした。
なかなか路線バスには乗るチャンスもないので貴重な体験でした。

I visited on December 28, 2018. It wasn't as crowded as other comments suggested. It's not very large (about the size of one dome), so one day is enough to explore. Each attraction has specific operating hours, so if you're not there at opening time, you might not be able to do everything. The weather was occasionally drizzly, so I enjoyed it without getting sunburned, and it wasn't too hot or too cold. I signed up for a bodyboard lesson (an additional $10 on-site) with a BBQ included (which had a lot of food), but even so, the price is quite high, comparable to Disney.

I participated with my family, including a middle school student. We were able to fully enjoy the zip line in the great outdoors. As someone in my 40s, I was worried about my stamina, but it turned out to be fine (laughs). There were three instructors, and they were all kind and attentive.

One slight disappointment was that we couldn't eat fruits or anything along the way. I'm not sure if it was out of stock or sold out, as I couldn't understand the reason in English. However, there was a chance to hydrate.

Overall, from the transportation to the reception, everyone was very kind and accommodating. Thank you very much.

My wife and I challenged ourselves to the highest height of 150 meters.
The view from above was breathtaking, with Ala Moana Beach, Waikiki Beach, the cityscape of Waikiki, and unobstructed Diamond Head.
It was a spectacular sight.
It was the best feeling to start the new year.
I highly recommend it.

I was worried about the rain in North Shore based on my experience, but the weather was really nice. The lush green scenery was wonderful.

The ziplining was refreshing as it cut through the greenery, and I felt great doing it. I was satisfied with the eight lines.

Not only did I glide through the greenery, but the heights and lengths varied, allowing me to enjoy views of the fields while zipping along, so I never got bored. The suspension bridge and other athletic-like activities were also fun.

I was able to experience things like letting go of the harness, starting backward, and even going upside down, which I definitely wouldn't be allowed to do in Japan.

The staff, who couldn't speak Japanese, did their best to explain things in simple English. I was very satisfied.

One thing I noticed was that tips were required separately, but no one was giving tips. When my husband gave tips to the three staff members accompanying us, they were very surprised. I wonder if very few people, especially Japanese, give tips? If that's the case, it might be better to include tips in the price.

また、手を離したり、後ろ向きにスタートしたり、逆さになったり、日本では絶対させてくれないようなことが体験できました。
日本語が話せないスタッフばかりでしたが、簡単な英語で一生懸命説明してくれました。
大満足です。
一つ気になったのは、チップが別途必要とのこたでしたが、誰もチップを渡していませんでした。主人が同行のスタッフ3人にチップを渡すととてもビックリしてました。チップを渡す人(特に日本人)はほとんどいないのではないでしょうか？それなら、チップ込みの値段設定にされた方がいいような気がします。

However, we were not able to go to the Arizona memorial because they were doing repairs. The boat just took us around there then the speaker’s microphone stopped working so we didn’t hear anything he said.

I wasn't confident in my physical strength and felt anxious even after signing up. However, there were no problems at all. The safety measures were excellent. Moreover, for the vertical rope climb, which I was most worried about, I could ask for help and received assistance.
