Overall this was not one of the better snorkel experiences. The boat was too crowded, with 61 snorkelers. The right size for the boat should have been about 40. Especially crowded at the start where people were not allowed on the top deck when leaving port.

The crew try their best to provide a good time. They are energetic and enthusiastic.

Food option was another issue. Basically you get either a cheeseburger or veggie cheeseburger. No other choices. I hate cheese. Since food is pre-made, there is no opportunity for a simple hamburger. Drinks are either water or watered down lemonade, served in tiny cups. Should have had more variety and larger cups. You also can get a bag of chips.

Swimming with the dolphin is basically everyone jump in the water, look down to see a couple dolphins swim by, and then jump right back in the boat.

Snorkeling was not rushed, but the site did not have many fish or varieties of fish.

Water slide was fun. Much more fun than snorkeling.

I had been curious about it for a long time, and this was my first time participating. The sandbar is a wonderful place made up of coral deposits, and standing there gave me a truly strange feeling. We took photos and played beach volleyball with other participants, and before we knew it, it was time for the BBQ hamburger lunch. The hamburgers we made ourselves, topped with pineapple and other ingredients, were exceptional when eaten on the boat.

After that, we went turtle watching from the boat, and then it was time for snorkeling at the snorkeling point. Unfortunately, the visibility wasn't that great, but we encountered turtles underwater, which was incredibly exciting. The Japanese-speaking female guide was friendly, and for some reason, it felt like my family was being slightly marked, but she helped liven up the atmosphere on the boat, and we had a great time.

サンドバーは素敵な場所でサンゴの堆積で出来ている浅瀬という事で、そこに立てば何とも不思議な感覚がありました。写真を撮ったり参加者でビーチバレーをしたりしましたが、あっと言う間にBBQハンバーガーランチとなりました。自分たちでパイナップルなどトッピングして、船の上で食べるハンバーガーは格別なものでした。
その後ウミガメのウォッチングを船上から行い、シュノーケリングポイントでシュノーケリングになりました。
残念ながら視界はそれほど良くありませんでしたが、水中でもウミガメに遭遇し、大興奮でした。
日本語ガイドの女性の方も、気さくな方で、何故か我が家族が少しマークされていた感はありますが、船上も盛り上げていただき、楽しいひと時を過ごせました。

The weather was great, and we were able to see a very beautiful sandbar! The snorkeling spot had strong winds and the water was a bit murky, but we were able to see some fish. The sandbar was deeper than I expected, about knee-deep. I checked a site that predicts the tides to decide when to go, but there were days that seemed deeper, so I think it would be good to confirm and choose a day within the possible range.

天気に恵まれ、とても綺麗なサンドバーが見られました！シュノーケリングのポイントは風が強く少し海は濁りが強かったですが、魚は見ることができました。サンドバーはひざ下くらいの深さで思ったよりも深かったです。潮の満ち引きを予測するサイトを見て決めましたが、もっと深そうな日もあったので、可能な範疇で確認して行く日を決められるといいと思います。

There was a bit of trouble with the operating company at the meeting point. We arrived at the meeting location more than five minutes before the scheduled time. Then, a flashy bus with the "Dolphin & You" logo passed right in front of us, and thinking we had been left behind, we hurried to chase after it, but it just kept going. Since we had minimal luggage and didn't have our smartphones, we had no choice but to return to the hotel, where we received a call from the operating company... They said they had come to pick us up at the meeting point but since we weren't there, we could no longer participate in the tour.

Actually, the bus we chased after was a different bus picking up Western guests, while Japanese guests were supposed to be picked up by a smaller van (a plain white bus without the operating company's name or logo), which apparently arrived quite late on the day of the tour. Despite this, the operating company said, "Since this is a cancellation on your part, we cannot issue a refund. If you want to participate, please take a taxi to the harbor." I thought it was unreasonable to ask us to take a taxi to a location that takes an hour by car, and when I expressed my frustration asking, "Is this really our responsibility???" they reluctantly agreed to send someone to pick us up.

On the morning of the tour, a confirmation call was made to the hotel, but the staff member was not fluent in Japanese and did not provide detailed information during the prior call. Therefore, I recommend confirming what kind of bus will come to pick you up on the day of the tour.

Once we got on the boat, I thought the staff members were very kind and helpful. There were also staff members who spoke Japanese fluently. They were very high-energy, which might be a bit overwhelming if you’re feeling unwell. In my case, I think the strong winds contributed to my discomfort, and I felt that snorkeling might be tough for small children... My child cried a lot during the first attempt and couldn't handle it. Dolphins can only be seen underwater as dark shadows, so it might be better for children to see them from the boat.

I also brought an underwater camera, but it's quite difficult unless you're a good swimmer. Regarding clothing, I wore a rash guard and tights, and I think that was sufficient without needing to rent a wetsuit (the rental wetsuits are short types). As for belongings, you should definitely borrow a bath towel from the hotel and bring it with you. It can get a bit chilly on the way back, so it's better to take off wet rash guards and dry off with the bath towel before putting on a dry shirt.

As for tipping, which can be confusing for Japanese people, it didn't seem like it was strictly enforced. The Q&A section on the operating company's website also mentions that a small gesture is sufficient. I hope this information is helpful to everyone.

集合時に運営会社と少しとトラブルになりました。
私たちは集合場所に待ち合わせ時間の5分以上前から来ていました。
すると「ドルフィン＆ユー」のロゴが描かれた派手めのバスが目の前を通り過ぎてしまったので、置いて行かれたと思い、慌てて追いかけたのですが、そのまま行ってしまいました。
荷物も最小限で、スマホも持っていなかったので、仕方なくホテルに戻ったところ、運営会社から電話が・・・。集合場所にピックアップにきたが、いないのでもうツアーには参加できないとのことでした。
実は我々が追いかけたバスは、欧米人客を拾っていく別便のバスで、日本人客はそれよりは小さいバンのようなバス（運営会社名もロゴもない、真っ白なバスです）が拾っていくことになってたらしいのですが、当日それが待ち合わせ時間よりもかなり遅れてきたのです。
・・・にも関わらず、運営会社がいうには、「そちらの都合のキャンセルなので、返金には応じられない。参加したければ、タクシーでハーバーまで来てください。」とのことでした。
車で1時間もかかるところに、タクシーで来いというのもどうかと思いますし、さすがに「それってこちらの責任なのですか？？？」と憤ったところ、渋々なんとか迎えにきてくれました。

当日の朝に確認の電話がホテルに掛かってきますが、そのときのスタッフは日本語が堪能ではなく、事前の電話でそこまで詳細な情報までは教えてはくれませんでした。
ですので、当日はどんなバスが迎えにくるのかを必ず確認された方がいいと思います。
　
船に乗ってからは、スタッフの皆さんとても親切で良かったと思います。
日本語がとても流暢なスタッフもいました。
とてもハイテンションなので、気分が悪くなるとちょっとしんどいかもしれません。
私の場合は、結構風が強かったのも原因かと思いますが、シュノーケリングは小さいお子さんは厳しいかも・・・という印象でした。
うちの子は、1回目で大泣きでダメでした。
イルカは水中で見ても、黒い影のようにしか見えないので、子供は船上で見た方がいいかもしれません。
あと水中カメラを持っていきましたが、泳ぎが得意な方でないとなかなか難しいです。
あと服装ですが、私はラッシュカードとタイツをはいて行きましたが、ウエットスーツ（貸しウエットスーツは短パンタイプです）を借りなくても、これで十分だと思いました。
荷物としては、バスタオルはホテルで借りて必ず持っていくべきでしょう。やはり帰りはちょっと寒いので、ぬれたラッシュガードなどは脱いで、バスタオルで体を拭って、乾いたシャツ等を着る方がいいと思います。

日本人が戸惑うチップですが、そんなにきっちり払っている感じはなかったです。運営会社HPのQ&Aにも書いてありますが、気持ち程度でいいと思います。
皆さんの参考になればと思います。

We arrived at the scheduled time and greeted by our NASA ambassador, astronomer, Greg.
He was so enthusiastic and pointed so many amazing things to see in the night sky. My favorite was seeing Saturn! The GPS telescope was very impressive.
It was a beautiful location to learn about the stars, planets, and our solar galaxy as the sun went down over the horizon.
We will be back!

Captain Bob’s Trip was awesome!! Top notch! It started with a beautiful catamaran ride and really fun energetic exciting crew! These people made you feel very safe and welcome and ensured everyone was having an exceptional time!
The sand bar and volleyball were breathtakingly beautiful and so much fun! Whether you are a professional volleyball player or a 5 year old, it all seemed to work out just as it should and everyone had an amazing time!
The BBQ was delicious, drinks, bar, everything was perfect! Grilling off the side of a catamaran on a sandbar in Oahu! What more could you ask for!
Seeing the turtles was amazing and the snorkeling was fantastic as well! Plenty of really nice equipment, instruction, safety always a priority with this crew! I would recommend this excursion and experience 100%! Also- a nice tour bus picks you up at your hotel or close to it if you need a ride! Fantastic transportation. Very well run and organized! We met some really nice people on the excursion and the crew was the best! Enjoy!

- The lunch is very delicious.

Disappointing point
- Since the tour arrives in the afternoon, the sea was high tide and the sandy beach was not visible. It might be better to think that this tour is not one where the sandy beach is exposed.

・午後に到着のツアーなので海は満潮で砂浜は見えませんでした。このツアーでは砂浜が顔を出すツアーではないと思ったほうがいいかもしれません

The tour was conducted with two boats, one of which gathered Japanese participants and provided guidance in Japanese. The guide was a Japanese person who was always smiling and very attentive.

When we arrived at the sandbar, we spotted two sea turtles, and several more came by afterward.

Next, we moved to the snorkeling point, where we were able to see about five sea turtles from the boat.

The snorkeling point didn't have strong waves, so if you can swim reasonably well, I recommend trying it without a life jacket!

The deeper areas had more fish and were beautiful! Additionally, I was able to find a sea turtle resting in the coral, and I managed to take an amazing photo! I had to dive about 4 meters, which was quite challenging, but it became my best memory in Hawaii.

I want to go again!

2隻の船でツアーを行い、1隻に日本人を集めて日本語でガイドを行ってくれました。
ガイドをしてくれたのは日本人の方で終始笑顔で丁寧な対応をしてくれました。

サンドバーに着いた時にもウミガメが目視で2匹確認できて、その後もサンドバーに何匹か来ていました。

その後はシュノーケリングポイントに移動するのですが、船から5匹くらいのウミガメを見つけられました。

シュノーケリングポイントは波もそこまで強くないので、泳ぎがある程度できる人はライフジャケット無しでチャレンジしてみてください！

深いところの方が魚も多くて綺麗でした！
また、サンゴの隙間で休んでいるウミガメを見つけられて最高の一枚を撮ることができました！
4mくらい潜らなければならなかったので、結構大変でしたがハワイで1番の思い出になりました。

また行きたいです！

We had a fabulous day on this tour. You do need staying power as it starts early and ends late but it is worth it. The bus tour of the Volcano Park was interesting but it was the helicopter ride that made the day. The professionalism of the company chartered for our ride was outstanding and our pilot had everyone feeling safe, secure and excited for the whole flight. Flying over the volcanos was amazing, even without any red lava on our day.
The one thing that was missing from the day was a little bit of time to explore Hilo itself - it looked so interesting and non touristy that we would have loved half an hour there.
This is not a cheap day, but certainly a once in a
lifetime experience we won’t ever forget and worth every cent.

We couldn't ask for a better way to spend our last day in Oahu.
This tour was so relaxing and fun. Everyone was so friendly including staff and other participants.
The Sand bar was so exciting, and the turtles were cute. and snorkelling amazing.
Everything is well organised.


One advice to people who go on this tour -
Go to the bathroom before boarding the ship,
since the bathrooms are not that convenient.
but they are there if you need them :-)

It was a shame that the weather wasn't clear on the day, but I had a wonderful time with a cheerful guide! If I have the chance to go to Hawaii again, I would like to participate when the weather is clear and the tide is low. Thank you!☆

It was amazing.
It was my first experience, and I was continuously moved.
The beautiful sea, the cute sea turtles, and the fun staff.
The snorkeling had clear explanations and safety considerations, which made me feel very secure.
I don't get to go to Hawaii often, but this is one activity I want to experience again next time.

Staff were very welcoming from the very start of the cruise and the night just got better. Great food and fantastic entertainment. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. Would totally recommend to everyone. Wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.

I participated in the Dolphin Encounter where you can swim with dolphins. The explanation was in English only, but they spoke slowly with gestures, making it easy to understand. Above all, the dolphins were adorable, and it was a lot of fun. I now have another wonderful memory from Hawaii.

説明は英語オンリーでしたが、身振り手振りでゆっくりとお話ししてくれたのでわかりやすかったです。
何よりイルカが可愛くてとても楽しかったです。
ハワイでの良いおもいでがまた一つ増えました。

I was hoping to see whales jumping, but I only caught a glimpse of a tail, which was a bit disappointing. The staff were very kind, and the view from the deck was beautiful, making it a lovely cruise. The guidance was mainly in English, but there were staff members who spoke Japanese at key points, which made it easy to understand. The deck was quite windy, so it's a good idea to have something to wear. While searching for whales, the waves were high, and I took motion sickness medication, but I ended up feeling nauseous in the second half. The staff applied menthol oil, which is effective for seasickness. On the way back, I was told that I could walk to Iolani Palace, so after disembarking, I separated from the group and visited Iolani Palace and other places before taking the bus back.

クジラがジャンプする姿を期待していましたが、しっぽが少し見えたのかな？程度で少し残念でした。
スタッフの方々はとても親切で、甲板からの景色もよく素敵なｸﾙｰｽﾞでした。
基本英語での案内ですが、要所は日本語のできるスタッフの方が教えてくれわかりやすかったです。
甲板は風が強く羽織ものはあったほうがいいです。
クジラを探しながらのｸﾙｰｽﾞで波も高かったためか酔い止めを飲んでいましたが後半は酔ってしまいました。スタッフの方が船酔いに効くとメンソールオイルを塗ってくれました。
帰りには歩いてイオラニ宮殿に行けるとのことで、船を降りてから離団しイオラニ宮殿等に行きバスで帰りました。

It was like heaven for my 5-year-old son. Having transportation for pick-up and drop-off makes it easier for parents. Driving after swimming is tiring... Although the plan didn't include meals, it's not a problem since you can buy food inside the park!

5歳の息子にとっては天国のような場所でした。行き帰りの送迎はあった方が親は楽ですね。泳いだ後の運転は疲れます、、、。特にご飯は付いていないプランでしたが、園内で買えるので問題ないです！

Although the visibility of the sea wasn't great due to the rain the day before, the emerald green and cobalt blue waters sparkling in the sunlight were truly beautiful. We encountered many sea turtles, and my husband even had moments where he swam close enough to them while being careful not to touch! Our guide, Yukiko, was also impressive just to watch, and she is a big reason why I want to join this tour again and meet her!

前日雨だったため海の透明度はいまいちとのことでしたが、きらきら太陽の光が輝くエメラルドグリーン、コバルトブルーの海は本当にきれいでした♡
ウミガメにもたくさん会え、主人はシュノーケリングスポットで触れちゃわないように気をつけるくらい近くで一緒に泳げる瞬間も！
ガイドのユキコさんも見ているだけでかっこ気持ちよく、またこのツアーに参加して会いに行きたい！と思う大きな一因です。

If you're in Hawaii and not heading up Haleakala or Mauna Loa, this is the best stargazing experience you can get (in my still limited experience). Greg took us through the solar system and out into the Milky Way, showing evergreens like Jupiter and Saturn together with more exotic objects like supernova remnants and binary stars (including a spectacular yellow and blue pair). Great!

We attended the 21:00 show in mid-July - dark enough, although the almost full moon did make things complicated when objects got a bit close to it. On the flip side though, getting to take pictures of that moon with your phone through the telescope lens at the end provides a great souvenir! Our seven year-old also really enjoyed the show.

The day of participation was unfortunately marked by cloudy skies and intermittent rain, but when the sun peeked through for a moment, it was absolutely beautiful! We played beach volleyball, and even though we couldn't communicate with people from other countries, it felt like we connected through sports, making it a really enjoyable time! The hamburger we had for lunch was also incredibly delicious! We were able to see a lot of fish while snorkeling! I think it would be stunning on a sunny day, so I would love to participate again!

参加日はあいにくの曇りとパラパラ雨の繰り返しでしたが、一瞬晴れ間がさすと最高にきれいでした！
ビーチバレーをやりましたが他国の方たちと言葉は通じませんが、スポーツで気持ちが繋がった感じがしてとっても楽しい時間でした！

I had a great time!
On a weekday in July, I was able to ride smoothly with relatively short lines.
Since the ground is hot, it's definitely better to wear water shoes.

7月平日、比較的並ばずスムーズに乗れました。
地面が暑いので、絶対に海用のシューズを履いて行ったほうがよきです。

It was a tour aimed at enjoying the night view, but due to the bad weather and having some extra time, we changed it to a sunset cruise. The planned 20-minute cruise was shortened to just over 10 minutes without notice, which left my family a bit dissatisfied, but we were able to see a wonderful sunset, so I’ll take it as a positive experience.

夜景遊覧が目的のツアーでしたが、天候不順なのと時間に余裕があったのでサンセット遊覧に変更してもらいました。予定の20分の遊覧時間が10分ちょっとに勝手に短縮され、家族は少々不満気味でしたが素晴らしいサンセットを見れたのでまぁ良しとします。

We enjoy had a lot of fun! The kids played very high with every equipment.

I took my daughter and her family to this Luau and I am so glad we bought the Royal package. It was great. We were right in front and the dancing was great and the Fire dancing was fantastic. I also liked the fact the they involved you in different activities. Food was great also. I liked the fact they will stay and take pictures with you at the end with your own camera. Overall I would definitely recommend this Luau to everyone.

I'm a repeat visitor.
The pool is very enjoyable. I highly recommend it. Since I rented a cabana, I was able to relax with my family without worrying about being seen by others. They provide fruit and water bottles.
The staff comes to take food orders, so you can relax without having to line up at the concession stand.
Regarding the shuttle bus, the confirmation screen said that you don't need to bring the voucher (or show it), so I took that at face value and didn't bring it. However, the staff at the pickup insisted that I show it. I explained that I didn't bring it because I was told it wasn't necessary, and after quite a bit of back and forth, I was finally allowed to board the bus.
My name was on the list the staff had, though. Next time, even if it says you don't need to bring the voucher, I won't trust it and will bring it anyway.

プールはとても楽しめます。おすすめです。カバナを借りたので、人目を気にせず、家族でゆっくりと過ごせました。フルーツと水のボトルがつきます。
食事のオーダーも係の方が取りに来て下さるので売店に並ばなくてもよいのでのんびりできます。
送迎のバスについてですが、申し込み完了画面に、バウチャーは持参しなくても（見せなくて）よいと書いてあったので、真に受けて持参しませんでした。ところが迎えのバスの係員は見せろの一点張り。見せなくてよいと言われたから持ってこなかった、とかなーり粘ってようやくバスに乗せてもらいました。
係員の持っている名簿に名前あるのですがね。次回はバウチャーは持ってこなくてよい、と記載あっても信じずに持参します。

The staff were very kind. They proactively offered guidance for snorkeling and took photos at the sandbar. The BBQ hamburger for lunch was incredibly delicious. Thank you for a wonderful time.

The sunset was gorgeous and service very good. Food was fine, entertainment ok.

We were picked up from the hotel and after a short drive, we boarded the cruiser at the port and headed to the sandbar. There was a lovely Japanese woman among the staff, which made me feel completely at ease. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The tide wasn't too low, and the water was up to my waist, so it didn't quite feel like a sandbar, but the stunning scenery more than made up for it! We saw several sea turtles floating around. While enjoying delicious hamburgers for lunch, we moved to a different spot where we could leisurely snorkel and see beautiful fish living around the large coral reef. It was truly an enjoyable tour. I recommended it to acquaintances going to Hawaii!

ホテルからピックアップ、少し車で走った港からクルーザーへ乗り込んでまずはサンドバーへ。スタッフにとても素敵な日本人の女性がいたので何の不安もありませんでした。スタッフはみんな　フレンドリーで気遣いも細やか、潮の状態はそこまで引いてなくて　腰あたりまで海水がありサンドバー？？って感じではありましたが　それを上回る程の景色のすばらしさ！！
ぷかぷか浮いているウミガメも何匹も見られました。美味しいハンバーガーのランチをほおばりながら、場所を移動して大きなサンゴ礁の周りに住む綺麗な魚たちをシュノーケリングでゆっくり見ることもでき本当に楽しいツアーでした。ハワイに行く知人に　お勧めしました！！

It was enjoyable to listen to stories about traditional Hawaiian plants in the garden of the Bishop Museum. Although I was a complete beginner, I had the valuable experience of taking hula dance lessons from a qualified instructor while learning the meanings of the songs. At the end of the hula lesson, I asked our guide to take a video of us dancing on my smartphone, and they kindly agreed.

After the hula lesson, we did lei making. The string part of the lei is also woven from grass, and we insert flowers at the end. Since the flowers wilt within a day, I stored them in the refrigerator as soon as I returned to the hotel and wore them out that evening. While I can't bring the flowers back to Japan, I can take the ring part without the flowers (customs is fine with that; it seems they microwave it before use). Once back in Japan, I can dry them and preserve them as dried flowers.

ビショップミュージアムの庭でハワイ伝統の植物の話を聞くのは楽しかったし、全くの初心者でしたが歌の意味を習いながら、専門的な講師の資格を持つ先生からフラダンスのレッスンを受けることができ、貴重な体験ができました。フラレッスンの最後には、ガイドさんに自分たちの踊る様子をスマホで撮ってほしいとお願いしたところ、快く引き受けてくださいました。
フラレッスンの次に、レイメイキングをしました。レイの紐（輪っか）の部分も草で編み、最後に花を挿します。花は1日で萎れてしまうので、ホテルに戻るとすぐに一旦冷蔵庫で保存し、夜のお出かけ時に着けて出かけました。花は日本に持って帰れませんが、花を抜いて輪っかの部分だけなら日本に持ち込めます（税関大丈夫とのこと。使う前に電子レンジにかけてるみたいでした）。日本に持って帰ったら乾燥させ、ドライフラワー状態で保存することができます。
