This was our first luau and it was fun, lots of activities to do prior to dinner and the main shows. Staff was all very friendly. Only that kinda sucked was that it started raining on us and it wasnt until the 3rd pour down that they began to hand out ponchos, so i guess i would recommend to bring an umbrella because all festivities do occur outdoors! Other than that, food was delicious, show was fun, staff was friendly, drinks were stiff, and there was plenty to do!!!! Would most definately recommend.

Even though we went to Hawaii, at the beach, it felt like we were just soaking in the ocean as if we were in a hot spring while holding onto a float... The hotel pool had a "no diving" rule with large floats...
Since we came to this tropical island, we signed up for this tour so that our fifth-grade child could have fun. It's a bit far from Waikiki, but the shuttle service made us feel secure♪ Not only the kids, but the adults also had a great time and enjoyed themselves. When I asked my child, "What is your favorite memory of Hawaii?" the answer was that this tour was the most fun! I want to go again!☆
Even our family members who can't speak any English enjoyed themselves without any issues♪

I had my first encounter with wild dolphins!
While enjoying the peaceful scenery, I headed to Waianae Harbor on the west side of Oahu! After about five minutes out on the boat in the clear, beautiful sea, we got ready to swim. While changing into a wetsuit (top half) and life jacket with careful instructions, a pod of dolphins appeared!
A group of dolphins was gracefully swimming slowly near the boat! There were about 20 to 30 of them in total. Some dolphins even jumped energetically! Upon closer inspection, I saw baby dolphins jumping too!!!
It seems I was lucky this time, as the pod performed near the boat for over 30 minutes. Those who swam closer could even hear the dolphins' calls♪
After that, we went snorkeling at a place called "Dragon Palace," which is full of sea turtles! A sea turtle came right next to the boat, so I was really glad to see it up close.
The BBQ on the boat after getting tired from all the excitement and the hula performed by the local staff was also great.
Thank you for this precious experience!

This is a MUST do for EVERYONE. We did the VIP box at the back and had the best seats in the place. The stage is still pretty close from the box and it is raised up at the same level as the VIP box so you see over top of everyone else who is in the general seating area. The VIP treatment really makes the whole experience so much better you get 2 pictures taken and don't have to wait in line ups. I couldn't imagine waiting in the long line that formed for the buffet!! There were lots of booths and activities before the dinner and show started we wandered around and watched some of the acts and tried the games they had set up, We walked out to the beach and the rocks which had an amazing view. It was just such a good time, perfect for the first night or two in Hawaii to get you in the "Hawaiian" mood!!! If you are going to do this activity do the VIP, you'll be happy you did :) The show was really good. Kids will love this but if you are a couple it is quite romantic!!

I had champagne and my finance had the cruise's "special" drink which had 3 shots of rum in it. The experience was romantic but a family would enjoy this too. There were a few groups of friend on board that seemed to enjoy themselves. It is a nice end to the day, not too expensive, and very relaxing. Recommended for everyone!!

On September 1st, I participated in the Standard plan.
As others have shared in their experiences, stepping onto the large welcoming bus felt like entering another world! We were the only Japanese people, with most of the group coming from the mainland United States, along with some guests from Australia and Russia. The guide understood a bit of Japanese, but since all the talks during the ride, including tour notes, were in English, it might not be suitable for those who don't understand English at all.
Paradise Cove is located to the west of Waikiki, beyond the airport and Pearl Harbor, and since the bus ride is long, I recommend bringing a light jacket if you're sensitive to the air conditioning.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a welcome drink (ID is required for alcohol) and received shell leis for a commemorative photo. If you like the photo, you can purchase it on the way back. I think it was around $15.
We were guided to our dining seats, and after writing our names on the sticker on the table to secure our spots, we had free time. The park offered various activities and crafts, so we spent our time freely playing a game similar to javelin called Ooihe and getting Polynesian art tattoos (which wash off) until it was time for dinner.
The meal was a Hawaiian luau buffet, and the lomi lomi salmon and kalua pig were especially delicious. The plan included two drink tickets, which allowed us to exchange them for cocktails from a designated menu.
A point to note is to confirm your bus number and return time carefully, and as mentioned in the notes, a separate tip payment is required. This is a custom that may not be familiar in Japan, so it's easy to forget, but even though the tour fee has been paid, a small tip is appreciated when receiving crafts or drinks.
The show performed on the outdoor stage was spectacular! Along with hula and live music, the fire performance after a 15-minute break was definitely worth seeing. The beautiful sunset we unexpectedly witnessed added to the experience, making it a wonderful memory.

All the attractions were interesting, but I was surprised by the intensity of the waves in the wave pool; it left the biggest impression on me. The large waves are incomparable to the wave pools I've been to in Japan. If you let your guard down, you might get knocked over by the waves and get hurt.
I also participated in a bodyboarding lesson in this big wave pool. It's fun, but for someone like me, an older woman, or for young children in elementary school, it can be physically demanding. The waves are really big, so it can be a bit dangerous; I saw several people who had fallen over and gotten scrapes.
The barbecue lunch was nothing special, but the fruit was delicious. Considering that the only other lunch options available were expensive hot dogs and hamburgers, I thought, "Well, that's okay."
Food and drinks are not allowed to be brought in, and there was an explanation on the bus that bags would be checked at the entrance, but in the end, my bag went unchecked.

We did the 3 Star dinner with the Lobster and Steak and it didn't disappoint. If you have the money its the best way to go. What really impressed me was the fact that we got caught up watching the view from the outside deck dinner was already served and almost all the guest had finished their meal. Our server Clifford was nice enough to keep our meal in the kitchen and brought it to our table when we sat. The show was great and the audience particpation at the end was fun. They also had a 2 man band playing local island music as we enjoyed our dinner. My wife and I agreed that the next trip(whch we are already planning) will include this cruise again. It's a nice way to see Waikii coastline with Diamond head at the top.

My husband and I went to Oahu with his parents and decided to take an island tour. We did not rent a car, so this was the best way for us to see as much as possible. There are many tours available and they all seem to go to the same sights, but I am glad I booked this one because our tour guide, Lani, was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and it felt like she truly enjoyed sharing everything with us even though she had done it a hundred times before. Lani was patient and friendly and happy the entire day (and it was a LONG day!). The tour is on a small bus, which worked well and seems to be common for this type of tour. There was a lot of in-and-out of the bus but not too much and the stops were all worth it. The group at HawaiiActivities was very nice about changing tour dates for me, even with last minute notice. We all enjoyed this tour and are glad we did it - it's worth the cost.

Da Flowrider was a sick ride for anyone wanting a surfing experience, and the simulated wave pool was cool too. The staff were definitely excellent though.

The luau at Paradise Cove is amazing, which is surprising considering how little it is advertised in tourist information in Japan! It's a fantastic tour that can't be summed up in just one word. An American from the mainland boasted, "You have to see this when you come to Hawaii. It's absolutely unmissable!" It seems to be quite famous in the U.S., and there were people who took vacations just to experience it.
Once you get on the bus, the guide is full of energy, and the tour begins in an exciting atmosphere.
First of all, the location is fundamentally different from the mock luaus held around hotels. The venue is set in a resort area, making it feel like a genuine festival (luau). Participating in various events while watching the sunset over the ocean is a delightful part of the luau experience.
However, if I had to point out one downside from a Japanese perspective, it might be the question of whether the food is suitable for a dinner show. Well, the buffet-style Hawaiian cuisine... might be a bit too bland. Aside from top-tier hotel buffets, this is probably the norm.
But once the lights go down and darkness falls, it becomes truly spectacular! As the spotlight shines and the intense flames dance, the show begins with a mix of enchanting hula performances that drive toward the climax. The excitement and emotion are so overwhelming that the taste of the food fades away.
I was impressed by the service, such as when a shy girl got the chance to go on stage... Truly, this is Hawaii's No. 1 luau! What I think about now that I'm in Hawaii is, "This is something you absolutely can't miss!"
