I could not decide what was the best way to get to Pearl Harbour. The trolley seemed inconvenient and hiring a taxi was too expensive. Then I saw this tour on hawaii activities.com and realized this was my best option. Not only was the bus very comfortable, our motorcoach operator Marlon was very smooth in executing the whole tour, and his follow up on Pearl Harbor was superb. What was also great is the efficiently planned out schedule of this tour. You have to wake up a little early, but you come back to the Wakiki area by 12 in the afternoon, which still gives you all of the afternoon and night to do something else. Pearl Harbor is just one of those places in Hawaii that some people go visit and some don't because of the location, but I thought it was one of the best experiences during my trip, and I think this convenient tour helped me make it so!

Great tour...friendly staff, well organized, and good overview of city!

This was my first time in Hawaii. The shuttle service to the hotel was great as they arrived on time and called out for us. The Japanese announcements in the car made it easy to understand, but I found out that bringing food and drinks (including beverages!) and inflatable rings is prohibited. There was supposed to be a baggage check, but since I had water with me, I was quite nervous. I wish there had been a note about this when I signed up.

As for the attractions, despite being three times the size of Tokyo Dome, it felt like there weren't that many options. There are plenty of benches, so maybe that's why they take up space. The attractions change every hour, which I think also affects the variety available.

Walking from the entrance to the center, there are lockers for $15 (with a $5 deposit), but they felt quite flimsy, and the changing room is just next to the restroom, so it wasn't very comfortable to change. It's best to go as lightly dressed as possible.

I mostly enjoyed the water slides, which were gentle enough for kids, and there were slides that could accommodate four people on an inflatable ring, making it a good option for families. However, if you're just with adults, you might get bored after a few rides, and carrying the inflatable rings up all those stairs can be tiring.

We had a plan from around 10 AM to 3 PM, but we spent a lot of time finding a spot and figuring out what was available, starting to move around around 11 AM, and by 1:30 PM, I was bored and relaxing on a bench (laughs). For two people, the time was sufficient, but if you have kids, you'll want to make the most of your time, so it would be helpful to receive advice or explanations about what you might need after entering, perhaps on the sign-up screen.

Since it was my first time in Hawaii and I had many places I wanted to visit, I think my expectations weren't fully met. I also felt quite tired. The sun seemed stronger than in Honolulu, so please be careful! However, for those who have visited Hawaii several times and want to enjoy something other than the beach with their family, I think it can be a lot of fun. There are more types of attractions to enjoy compared to those in Japan.

ホテルまでの送迎は、時間通りにきて呼んでくれるのでよかったです。
車内で日本語アナウンスをしてくれるのでこちらもわかりやすかったのですが、飲食物（飲みものも！）、浮き輪類の持ち込みは禁止だそうです。手荷物検査があるということで、実際はありませんでしたが、水を持っていた私はひやひやしました。。申し込む時に記入があれば助かったのに、、、と思いました。
アトラクションは、東京ドーム3倍という割にはあまり個数はない感じがしました。ベンチが豊富にあるので、それで場所とっているのか、、、時間ごとにやっているアトラクションが変わるので、それも影響していると思います。
入り口から真ん中まで歩いていくと、ロッカー15ドル（5ドルはデポジット）がありますが、かなり心もとないロッカーで、更衣室もトイレの横についてるだけなので、気持ちよく着替えができる感じではありませんでした。。。行く時はできる限り軽装がいいです。
私はウォータースライダーばかりやりましたが、子供もできるぐらいの勢いのものだったり、浮き輪が4人とかで使用できるスライダーがあったりしたので、家族で楽しむにはいいかもしれません。大人だけで楽しむとすると、何回かやれば飽きるのと、自分で浮き輪を運ぶのに、階段をたくさん登らなきゃいけないので疲れてしまいました。
今回は、10時ぐらいから3時ぐらいまでのプランでしたが、実際は場所取りや、中で何があるか知るために、時間を使い、11時ぐらいから動き始め、1時半ごろには飽きてベンチでのんびりしてました（笑）
二人であれば充分な時間でしたが、子供連れなら、時間しっかりと使いたいと思うので、もう少し、入場してから必要だと思われる内容に関してアドバイスや説明を、申し込み画面とかで教えてもらえると助かると思います。

初ハワイだったため、行きたいところがたくさんある中での訪問だったこともあると思いますが、私は期待したほどではありませんでした。。そしてかなり疲れました。。日差しがホノルルより強い気もしましたので、気をつけてください！
ただ、何回かハワイに訪問したことがあり、家族でビーチ以外を楽しみたい！という方には非常に楽しめると思います。日本のアトラクション類より種類が楽しめます。

Great fun. Boat was great. Staff was great. The excursions were superb. So much fun. Will do it again definitely.

The sandbar is quite far out, yet the water is shallow, creating a mysterious space. The hamburger was delicious. Unfortunately, the snorkeling was disappointing because the water was murky and visibility was not great.

サンドバーはだいぶ沖なのに水深が浅くなっており、不思議な空間でした。ハンバーガーは美味しかったです。シュノーケリングは、水が濁っていてあまり良く見えなかったのが残念でした。

I participated in a three-generation trip. I was thinking of buying some snacks, but they weren't available, so I had to go to the buffet. The orange juice was delicious. I was glad to catch a glimpse of a whale.

三世代旅行で参加しました。中で軽食でも買おうと思ってましたが、販売されておらず、仕方なくブッフェに。オレンジジュースが美味しかったです。クジラはちらっと見えたのでよかったです。

We participated as a family with our 0-year-old and 2-year-old children. After departing, we first went turtle watching before heading to the sandbar. The sandbar was perfect, and we were really excited! The water was shallow with almost no waves, so the kids were able to enjoy themselves safely. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy, which was a bit disappointing.

We were able to fully enjoy the turtles and the sandbar in a short time and returned to the hotel before noon, making it a satisfying tour. The weather is a matter of luck, but I think it would be truly beautiful if it were sunny.

If we can come back to Hawaii, I would like to try again.

For those planning to participate, a waterproof camera is a must. A selfie stick also seemed convenient. Additionally, while you won't need to spend money, tips are separate, so please don't forget to bring some.

出港してからまずウミガメウォッチングをしてからサンドバーへ向かいました。
サンドバーもバッチリ出ていて、テンション上がりました！波がほとんどなく浅いので、子供も安心して楽しんでいました。ただ、天気があいにくの曇り空で残念でした。。

短時間でウミガメとサンドバーを満喫して昼前にはホテルに戻れるので、時間も有効に使えて満足のツアーでした。天気は運ですが、晴れてたら本当に綺麗なんだろうなーと思います。

またハワイに来れたらリベンジしたいです。

参加予定の方は防水カメラは必須です。自撮り棒も便利そうでした。あと、お金を使うことはないけど、チップは別なので、持って行くのを忘れないようにしてください。

The weather was unfortunately rainy and then cloudy, but I’m really glad I participated in this tour! Playing beach volleyball at the sandbar was surprising because the volleyball was really hard (laughs), but it was so much fun with the crew and all the participants! We had the afternoon plan, and while moving to the snorkeling spot, we were all excited to spot a sea turtle from the boat! During snorkeling, we were lucky enough to see sea turtles twice, which was incredibly moving! After lunch, we had about an hour to snorkel freely around the coral reef, where everyone could swim around the vast coral formations or take a break on the boat. Some participants didn’t get to see a sea turtle, so I think it’s all about luck! This was a tour I would definitely recommend to others, and I was very satisfied!

I highly recommend applying sunscreen, as the difference between the areas where I applied it and where I didn’t is too extreme!

お天気は生憎の雨のち曇り的な感じでしたが、それでも参加してほんと良かったなぁ〜（≧∇≦）と思えるツアーでした！サンドバーでのビーチバレーはバレーボールがとっても固くてびっくりしましたが（笑）、クルーのお兄さんたちや参加者みんなでワイワイとってもとっても楽しかったです♪私たちは午後プランだったのですが、シュノーケリングの場所へ移動中船上から海ガメをみんなでキャーキャーいいながら発見できて感激☆シュノーケリング中もなんと2回も海ガメを見ることができて超感動でした♡ランチ後、サンゴ礁の周りを１時間ほど自由にシュノーケリングできるのですが、広範囲のサンゴ礁の群れの周りをみんな自由に泳いだり船上で休憩したりできる感じで、海ガメを見れかったという参加者の方もおられたのでこれはもう運だと思います！ぜひ人にも進めたい大満足のツアーでした(*^^*)
日焼け止め塗った場所と塗らなかった場所の差が激しすぎて、日焼け止めを塗ることをお勧めします！

Sandbar is highly recommended.
It's truly a paradise at sea!

The guide was very fun, and the hamburgers for lunch were grilled right there by the captain, making them incredibly delicious!!

However, I think the color of the sea is greatly influenced by the weather, so keep that in mind.

I joined because a friend wanted to go to Sandbar. Since we could return to Waikiki by lunchtime, it seemed like a good use of time, so we chose this course. The Japanese female guide was very cheerful, cool, and kind. The drinks provided included both cold and warm options, which was great for me since I tend to get cold easily.

We were able to see sea turtles, and snorkeling was really fun! However, we encountered a sudden downpour, and the waves became rough, so we had to retreat to the boat early. That was disappointing.

After getting out of the water, we were first offered warm drinks and had sandwiches. They were simple, but I enjoyed them. The saltiness might have been good for fatigue.

Although I had taken a seat on the boat, my jacket got wet from the downpour, so the ride back felt like being in a freezer... It's common in various places in Hawaii, but the air conditioning is really strong! I was concerned about the cold on the bus, so I brought a jacket, but I had to return in a wet swimsuit, and my jacket got wet too, so I thought I would freeze on the way back...

I recommend being well-prepared for cold weather!

サンドバーに行きたい！という友人の希望で参加。
お昼にはワイキキに戻って来れるので、時間も有効に使えそうということで、このコースにしました。
ガイドの日本人女性がとっても明るくてカッコよくて親切でした。提供されるドリンクも、冷たいものと温かいものがあり、冷え性の私には嬉しかったです。
ウミガメも観れたし、シュノーケリングもすごく楽しかった！のですが、途中でスコールに遭ってしまい、波が荒れてきて早々にボートに退散。残念でした。
海から上がると、まず温かいドリンクが提供され、サンドイッチをいただきました。シンプルなものでしたが、美味しくいただきました。塩気が疲れに良かったのかも。
ボートの中に席を取っていたものの、スコールで上着が濡れてしまったため、そこから帰りの道中がまるで冷凍庫の中にいるようでした...
ハワイのあちこちで共通することなのですが、とにかく空調がキツイ！なので、バスの中での寒さを懸念して、ある程度の上着は持っていきましたが、濡れた水着のままで帰らねばならず、スコールで上着も濡れてしまっていたので、帰りは凍えるかと思いました。。。
防寒？対策をしっかりしていくことをお勧めします！

I participated in the tour on June 27. Despite having limited time during my stay, I was able to efficiently enjoy sea turtle watching, sandbar visits, and snorkeling in the morning. It was cool in the morning, and the bus had air conditioning, so I recommend bringing a light jacket. I highly recommend this experience.

6月27日のツアーに参加しました。滞在中の時間が限られたなか午前中でウミガメウォッチ、サンドバー、シュノーケリングを効率的に楽しむことができました。
朝は涼しく、移動のバスはエアコンが効いているので上衣があると良いと思います。体験お薦めです。

We participated as a family of four. It was a very precious experience to see sea turtles up close both from the boat and while snorkeling. The beautiful ocean, like something out of a magazine, is an unforgettable memory. The crew's service was average, but they left a reliable impression. Overall, it was a very enjoyable tour, and my 3-year-old daughter was thrilled. Thank you very much.

家族４人で参加。船上からも、シュノーケリング中にも、ウミガメを間近で見れたのがとても貴重な体験でした。雑誌に出てくるような綺麗な海は忘れられない思い出です。クルーの対応は普通でしたが、不可なく、頼もしい印象でした。全体的には非常に楽しく、３歳の娘も大喜びのツアーでした。ありがとうございました。

I participated with four friends from my hula class. Before the hula lesson, we received information about the plants that were planted and explanations of the exhibits in the building (which were very educational), and then we had our beloved Noelani's lesson... Amazingly, it was just the four of us experiencing it!!! We even had time to practice writing the hula and I made sure to remember it well for my return home.

However, it's unfortunate that the shuttle service from Honolulu to the Bishop Museum, which was included in the past two visits, was no longer available this time. I was considering taking The Bus, but since the start time is in the morning, I thought there would be many students commuting. So, I took a taxi there (which took about 20 minutes) and returned by The Bus. On the way back, there were many students on board, and I had to stand for about an hour. Since our time was limited, that hour of travel was precious, so I hope they will reinstate the shuttle service.

フラ教室の仲間4人と参加しました。フラレッスン前に植えられている植物のお話や館内での展示物の説明（とっても勉強になりました。）を受け、大好きなノエラニのレッスンに…。なんと私たち4人だけで体験することに!!!振りを書く時間もあり、しっかり覚えて帰国しました。

ただ、残念なのが過去2回はホノルルからビショップミュージアムの送迎付だったのに今回からなくなっていました。ザ・バスの移動と考えてましたが、開始時間が朝なので時間帯から学校へ通う学生がたくさん乗るだろうと、行きはタクシー（所要時間20分）帰りはザ・バスで移動。帰りも学生がたくさん乗ってて1時間ぐらい立ちっぱなしでした。滞在時間が限られているので、1時間の移動は貴重なので送迎付を復活してほしいです。

The description of "heavenly sea" is not an exaggeration! It was truly a mysterious sea. We played beach volleyball and enjoyed freshly grilled burgers on the boat. I was impressed that all the women were both steering the boat and giving instructions. I was also very satisfied to see sea turtles! I want to go again!

天国の海という形容は言い過ぎではありません！ほんとうに不思議な海でした。ビーチバレーをしたり、船でやきたてのバーガーを食べたり。みんな女の人たちが船の操縦もインストラクトも行っていてすごいなあと思いました。ウミガメもばっちり見られて満足でした！また行きたい！

When selecting a tour, please first check the tide levels. You can find the tide chart for Honolulu, Oahu (Hawaii) at this site: http://tides.mobilegeographics.com/locations/2602.html. Choose a time when the tide is low (either morning or afternoon). On the day of participation, the tide was 0.5ft according to this site, and the actual sea level was about 30cm.

Initially, I wanted to join a tour from a different company, but it was already fully booked. However, in the end, it turned out to be the right choice for me.

Comparing the two tours, the one I participated in had a slightly later meeting time, allowing for a more relaxed morning (perhaps less time spent picking up from hotels?), and it included about an hour of snorkeling, which was set for approximately 30 minutes longer. Overall, the time allocation was quite leisurely. If you have time and are interested in snorkeling, I recommend this one.

The sandbar was indeed impressive, but perhaps due to having seen many beautiful photos in advance and the overcast weather with strong winds, it was a feeling I had anticipated. On the other hand, the snorkeling experience exceeded my expectations. I was initially hesitant and observed from the boat, but seeing how much fun the other participants were having, I decided to take the plunge and enter the water.

I had participated in hotel-sponsored snorkeling in Okinawa a couple of times, but compared to that, the scale was different. The corals and tropical fish were dynamic! Since we wore life jackets, I didn't feel much fear. I encourage those who are not confident in swimming to give it a try. A wonderful world awaits. Initially, I thought the snorkeling time would feel long, but it passed in no time. So, this tour was indeed the right choice for me.

The voucher included a note about necessary items to bring, such as a camera, towel, and a sense of adventure. It was a perfectly accurate comment. Thank you, VELTRA.

Finally, at the end of the tour, remember to tip before disembarking. It's an American-style system, so don't forget to provide an appropriate tip.

当初は、異なる会社の方のツアーを希望しましたが既に予約終了。然しながら、結果的には当方の場合、正解でした。
２つのツアーを比較すると、参加したツアーは集合時間が少し遅く朝がゆっくり（ホテルを廻る時間が短い？）、シュノーケリングの時間が約１時間あり、３０分程度長めに設定されています。総じて、ゆったりとした時間配分です。時間があり、シュノーケリングに興味がある方にはこちらがお薦め。
サンドバーは、事前に沢山の綺麗な写真を見ていたせいか、天気が曇りがちで風が強かったせいか、確かに感動的でしたが、想定内の感動でした。
一方、シュノーケリングは想像以上の感動でした。泳ぎに自信がなく、当初は、ボートで見学していましたが、参加者が余りに楽しそうなので思い切って海に入ってみました。
沖縄で２回ほどホテル主催のシュノーケリングに参加しましたが、それと比べるとスケール感が違いました。珊瑚も熱帯魚もダイナミック！！
ライフジャケット着用なので、怖さはあまり感じません。泳ぎに自信がない方も是非チャレンジしてください。素晴らしい世界が広がっています。当初、シュノーケリングの時間が長いと思っていましたが、あっという間に。ということで、こちらのツアーの方が当方には正解でした。
バウチャーの案内文に、参加時に必要な持参品として、カメラ、タオル、冒険心・・とありました。正に、的を射たコメントでした。VELTRAさんに感謝です。
最後に、ツアーの最後にチップを入れて下船します。アメリカ式システムなので相応のチップを忘れずに。

My girlfriend Constance and I were highly recommended to do this tour prior to our trip to Hawaii and we were not disappointed. This tour will now be top of our list of recommendations to other friends and family as it is as breathtaking and exhilarating as expected. The sights seen on this tour is truly unbelievable and needs to be seen to be believed. As a couple, we were slightly hesitant as we are more the adventurous type, however this tour still gave us a great look into history of the island which was some amazing stuff. It was very informative and interesting and really gave us Australians a little glimpse of what the U.S had endured back in the day. If and when my girlfriend and I return to Hawaii (I'm sure we will soon) we will most likely do this tour again, as the views and sights cannot be compared to anything else. We are so glad we went ahead with this booking and tour because the tour guide and transportation to and from were great also to make for a perfect day.

The sandbar had water levels up to my waist, but I had fun participating in beach volleyball, even though I wasn't very good at it. It was an amazing experience to encounter a sea turtle while snorkeling.

It was a bit cold for the season, but I was able to see sea turtles and the ocean was incredibly beautiful! The crew members were all kind and friendly, and it was reassuring to have Japanese staff. They took wonderful photos at the sandbar! Thanks to my practice, I was able to snorkel well and see many beautiful fish! Thank you very much!

時期的に少し寒かったですが、海ガメも見れたし海は凄く綺麗でした！乗務員の方も皆優しく気さくで、日本人なのが安心でした。サンドバーでも素敵な写真を撮ってくれました！シュノーケルも練習のお陰で上手に出来て綺麗な魚を沢山見れました！本当にありがとうございました！

The Pearl Harbor tour was one of the best tours we did during our vacation in Oahu. Our driver Larry was very informative during the tour. We got a little taste of the history of Oahu. Larry made our tour very interesting and entertaining. He gave us lots of stories bout the history of Hawaii that previous to taking the tour we were not aware of. The city of Honolulu had numerous historical places to visit. Once we arrived to Pearl Harbor, we were very excited. Larry spoke about the historical importance Pearl Harbor had in American history. The movie that was played before the boat ride to the memorial was very well made. It was very interesting and educational. The fact that it had actual video footage from the attack of Pearl Harbor made it very real and emotional. Furthermore,the tour to the SS Arizona memorial was amazing. It's definitely something I would recommend to anyone visiting Oahu. Being on the memorial and seeing the names of all the people who lost their lives on the SS Arizona was very moving. The tour is very well organized that it's interesting for the whole family.

I participated in a tour with a barbecue lunch on June 22. Thanks to checking the tide schedule, the water level was about 20 cm, which was beautiful. The tour included activities like walking on the sandbar, a sea turtle watching cruise, and snorkeling at the coral reef, all of which were fulfilling, and the barbecue burger for lunch was delicious! It was unfortunate that we were caught in the rain for a bit, but the staff worked hard to keep the tour lively, which left a good impression. I'm glad I participated in this tour!

6月22日のバーベキューランチ付きのツアーに参加しました。
潮の満ち引きを調べて行ったおかげで、水面が20cmぐらいでキレイした。
サンドバーでの散歩やウミガメウォッチングクルーズ、珊瑚礁でのシュノーケリング等内容も充実し、ランチのバーベキューバーガーも美味しかったです！
途中で生憎の雨に降られたのが残念でしたが、スタッフの方々がツアーを盛り上げようと、色々一生懸命やってくれたので好印象でした。
このツアーに参加して良かったです！

This was my first time participating in such a tour, so I was a bit anxious, but I had a great time with the cheerful and fun guides. I was very satisfied with the sandbar, snorkeling, and turtle watching. Depending on the season, it can get cold on the boat, so I recommend bringing a towel or something similar.

このようなツアー参加は初めてだったので、少し不安でしたが、陽気で楽しいガイドの方々と楽しい時を過ごせました。
サンドバー、シュノーケル、タートルウォッチング全てにおいて大満足です。
時期によっては、船上が寒くなるので、タオル等持参をオススメします。

This time, my friend and I participated in this tour. As soon as we arrived at the location, we had free time, so we were able to put our bags in a locker and head straight to the attractions. Perhaps because it was a weekday, it was quite empty, and I think we were able to conquer all the attractions. There were sliders and visually impressive rides that are not commonly seen in Japan, and even as adults, we had a lot of fun. Although there are many beautiful beaches in Hawaii, I hesitated to choose the pool, but I think it was great because we were able to experience a lot of excitement that we couldn't get from the ocean. If I had to mention a complaint, it would be that the shuttle bus was late. Since it was a shared bus, I understand it can't be helped, but if they had noted in the tour details that there was a possibility of a 2-30 minute delay, it might have alleviated some anxiety while waiting. Although I felt the tour was a bit short considering how much fun we had, I think we had a very enjoyable and satisfying time at the pool.

今回、友人と二人でこちらのツアーに参加させてもらいました。現地到着後すぐにフリータイムでしたのでロッカーに荷物をいれてすぐにアトラクションへ行くことができました。平日だったからかかなり空いており全てのアトラクションを制覇できたかとおもいます。日本ではあまり見かけないスライダーや見た目が大迫力なものもあり、大の大人の私たちでもかなりはしゃぐことができました。ハワイにきれいなビーチがたくさんあるのでプールを選択することに躊躇しましたが、こちらのプールでは海では味わえない興奮をたくさん味わうことができたのでとてもよかったと思っています。強いて不満をゆうならば、お迎えのバスが遅れていたことでしょうか。。混載バスだったので仕方がないかと思うのですが、ツアー詳細に2.30分遅れる可能性がある事を記載してもらえれば待っている間の不安も無かったのかな。。と思います。楽しく過ごせた分ツアーの時間的には少し短いと感じましたが、プール自体とても楽しく大満足な時間を過ごせたかとおもいます

We have a family of 7 and everyone was extremely excited to go. 3 of us had experienced the Snuba back in March. It was awesome that the crew remembered us. We were treated exceptionally well. The crew sat with those that were a bit apprehensive about the Snuba and created a relaxed atmosphere and worked with them and made it just as enjoyable for them. It was awesome! We have two 12 year olds and they did a wonderful job. We saw Dolphins, turtles and tons of fish. We would recommend this adventure to anyone and would gladly do it again and again. Hats off to the crew!!

The trip around the island was great I would highly recommend Veltra tours. The trip was made even better by our guide Bethany who was an endless wealth of knowledge, we did this trip2 years ago with another company and I can honestly say that we learnt 10 times more with your tour.

The weather was clear, so the sea was beautifully blue! I couldn't clearly spot the sea turtles, but the guide was calling out directions to everyone.

I was also impressed by the schools of fish while snorkeling! However, it was quite cold when we got out of the water, so a towel change is a must!

シュノーケリングも魚の列が見えたりと感動しました！
ただやはり海から上がると寒かったので
タオル着替え必須です！

We are not used to traveling abroad, so we have a lot of worries. The main concerns were: 1) clothing, 2) belongings & luggage, 3) temperature, and 4) snorkeling. Additionally, I have some other thoughts.

1) Clothing
I wore a swimsuit with a rash guard on top and quick-drying pants that are 3/4 length. Long skirts were seen here and there. Even those in long pants were relaxed and free. There were various styles, including half shorts and hot pants, and some people wrapped towels around themselves. Most men wore knee-length swimsuits. On the way back, you can just lay down your towel and ride the bus as is. There are no designated changing areas, but you can change in the restroom.

2) Belongings & luggage
There is zero security. Rings and other small items can easily be lost, so newlyweds should be careful. There are no opportunities to use credit cards; cash for tips should suffice. You can store your belongings under the chairs, but seawater can drip from those sitting on the chairs, so they may get wet. Avoid fabric items. If you wrap your towel and change of clothes in plastic, you should be fine. I brought my passport but didn’t use it. I regretted not bringing a towel for the return bus, as it was very cold. With the air conditioning, I felt like I was in training with wet hair and a wet swimsuit. It was freezing. I went straight to the bath when I got back to the hotel.

3) Temperature
On June 13, it was sunny and perfect. It seems it was a bit cold at the sandbar a little while ago. This time of year is ideal, but it can get too hot later on, which can drain your energy due to direct sunlight.

4) Snorkeling
My 65-year-old mother did not participate and waited on the boat. I snorkeled for the first time. There were striped fish, but no colorful ones, and since there was no food, they didn’t come close, but I was satisfied. I think it lasted about 10 minutes, which was just right considering it was my first time and my mother was waiting alone on the boat. In addition to the life jackets provided to everyone, there was also a long floating stick. With the life jacket, I was able to relax and enjoy the underwater view.

That sums up my concerns and the results.

Regarding the flow after boarding, we stayed at the turtle spot and searched for turtles from the boat → arrived at the sandbar, got off and wandered around (taking photos individually and getting photos taken) → returned to the boat to prepare for snorkeling → moved to the snorkeling area. Since the boat doesn’t move, those who don’t snorkel can wander around the sandbar → snorkeling → return to the boat → lunch while heading back.

It’s best to board early. If there are many participants, good seats will be gone. The interior of the boat is recommended for those who don’t want to get sunburned. However, you can only see the sea from the sides and back of the boat. After snorkeling, I recommend returning to the boat without lingering. Everyone pays the same amount, and while we want to enjoy ourselves equally, others are others. No one will give up a good seat. Let’s enjoy ourselves while maintaining basic manners and asserting ourselves.

Turtles. They showed up here and there.

Restrooms. There are supposedly two on the boat, but I recommend using the ones at the port to avoid wasting time. They were cleaner than restrooms in Japanese stations or parks. We didn’t use the boat’s restroom, but unlike in Japan, they use a pump system for flushing, and paper should be disposed of in the trash.

Food and drink. Soft drinks were provided upon boarding. After snorkeling, we had sandwiches (ham and cheese) and about 7-8 pieces of something like Doritos, along with warm tea. I thought it was a bit shabby, but considering I had just swum for 10 minutes, the sandwiches and Doritos were delicious, especially since we could eat them casually on the boat. With many participants, I think it was best to have something we could sit down and eat calmly. The warm tea

海外に慣れた2人じゃないので心配が山ほど。
心配だった主なことは①服装②持ち物&荷物③気温④シュノーケリング。あとその他、思ったことなど。
①服装
水着に上はラッシュガード、下は9分丈の乾きやすいパンツ。長いスカートはチラホラ。長いパンツでも浮くこともなく皆さん自由&ラフ。下はハーフパンツ、ホットパンツの丈、バスタオルを巻いている人と様々でした。男性は膝丈の水着の方ばかりでした。
帰りは持参したタオルを敷けばそのままバスに乗れます。
着替える専用の場所はありませんが、トイレで着替えることができます。

②持ち物&荷物
セキュリティはゼロです。指輪とか落としやすいそうです。新婚さん注意。クレカを使う場面はありません。チップ分のキャッシュのみで良いと思います。イスの下に荷物を入れますが海水が椅子に座った人からつたって入ってしまうので濡れます。布製は避けましょう。タオルや着替えはビニールに包めば大丈夫です。パスポートも持っていきましたが使いません。私は帰りのバスが非常に寒かったのでバスタオルを持っていけば良かったと後悔しました。エアコンが効いているので髪も水着も濡れた状態では、修行している気分でした。極寒。ホテルについてお風呂に直行したくらい。

③気温
6/13晴れており最適でした。
少し前はサンドバーでも寒かったようです。これからの時期が最適で、その先になって暑すぎると直射日光で体力を消耗してしまうそうです。

④シュノーケリング
65歳の母は不参加で船で待ってました。
初めてシュノーケリングをしました。シマシマの魚はいましたが、カラフルな魚はいなく、また餌も無いので近くに来ることはありませんでしたが満足できました。10分程度だったと思いますが初めてであること、母が船で1人でまっていることを考えると10分という時間はちょうど良かったです。
全員に配備されるライフジャケット以外に、長い棒状の浮きもあり。ライフジャケットがあるので、リラックスして海中を見ることが出来ました。

以上が、心配していた事と結果です。その他について。

乗船してからの流れは、亀スポットにとどまり、船上から亀をみんなで探す→サンドバーに到着、降りてウロウロする(それぞれで写真を撮る、撮っても貰える)→船に戻ってシュノーケリングの準備→降りてシュノーケリングの場所に移動。船は動かないのでシュノーケリングしない人はサンドバーをウロウロしてても良いかも→シュノーケリング→船に戻る→ランチしながら帰港

乗船するのは早めが良いです。参加者が多いと、良い席がなくなります。船内は日焼けしたくない人にはお勧め。ただし船内からは海は脇と後方しか見れません。シュノーケリング後もタラタラせず船に戻ることをお勧めします。払ってる金額は一緒、平等に気楽にいきたいものですが、他人は他人。良い席を譲る人はおりません。最低限のマナーと自己主張のうえ、楽しみましょう。

亀。あちこちに姿を見せてくれました。

トイレ。船にも二つあるそうですが、せっかくの時間が勿体無いので港で済ませることをお勧めします。日本の駅や公園のトイレより清潔感がありました。私たちは船のトイレは利用しませんでしたが、日本のとは異なり流し方はポンプ式で紙は流さずゴミ箱に捨てるそうです。

飲食。乗船してソフトドリンク。シュノーケリングの後、サンドイッチ(ハムとチーズ)とドンタコス的なのが7〜8枚と、暖かいお茶。しょぼ〜、、と思いましたが、10分とはいえ泳いだ後でしたし、船の上で手づかみで気にせず食べれるサンドイッチとドンタコス的なものは最高に美味しかったです。参加者が多いので座って落ち着いて食べれるそれらはベストだと思いました。お茶も暖かくホッとできました。

午前中だけのツアーは、時間を有効に使える点、体力消耗を考えたらベストなツアーだと思いました。

案内をしてくださる方は日本語ペラペラ。女性で丁寧な説明をされる方だったので、安心できました。他のスタッフは現地感のあるラフで自由な人たちでした。

ちなみにサンドバーではタバコ吸ってもいいそうです。フィルター部分を捨てなければ。。
私たちは非喫煙者で特に母はタバコが嫌い。案内を聞いた時ちょっと残念でしたが、実際吸ってる人がいても、離れれて風上にいれば気になりませんでした。喫煙者の方は綺麗な海でタバコを吸えるなんて滅多にないので嬉しそうでした。

以上。帰りのバスの寒さ以外、とても満足できました。
寒さは自己の工夫と、管理次第でなんとかなります。

The initial orientation took place in a room inside the ship, so I felt a bit nauseous since I couldn't see the scenery. However, about 30 minutes after going out on deck, I was able to see whales about four times. On the way back, I stayed out on the deck the whole time, and it was a great memory to see Diamond Head and the city of Waikiki from the sea.

最初のオリエンテーションは船の中側の部屋での待機なので景色が見えない分少し酔いましたが、デッキに出てから約30分後にクジラを計4回くらい見ることが出来ました。
帰りはずっとデッキに出ていたので、海からダイアモンドヘッドやワイキキの街を見られて良い思い出になりました。
