I participated in a luau recommended by my mother's hula teacher. There were no Japanese people at all, so it's great for those who want to fully enjoy a foreign experience. All the explanations were in English, so there were times when I didn't quite understand what was being said, but when I checked with the staff, they kindly explained everything to me.

Upon arrival, there were various activities taking place, and when I participated in the javelin throw, I received a shell lei (it’s okay if you don’t hit the target). You can enjoy hula lessons and a pig roast show even before the luau starts.

The food was surprisingly delicious. The pork was particularly tasty. The card you receive upon participation, which has money loaded onto it, can be used at the large souvenir shop and the spacious drink counter, as well as for photo opportunities. However, it cannot be used at the small souvenir shop and drink counter next to the buffet.

The show was great as well, with various dances to enjoy.

母のフラの先生オススメのルアウということで参加してみました。
日本人は全くいないので、完全なる異国を楽しみたい方はオススメ。説明はすべて英語なので、たまに何言ってるかわからないときがありましたが、改めて担当の方に確認したら丁寧に教えてくれました。
現地に到着したら様々なアクティビティが開催されており、やり投げに参加したら貝のレイをもらえました（当たらなくてもOK）。
フラレッスンや豚の丸焼きショーなど、ルアウ開始前から楽しめます。
食事も想像以上に美味しいです。豚が美味しかったです。
参加時にもらえるお金がチャージされたカードは広いお土産屋さんと広いドリンクカウンター、写真撮影に使えます。ブッフェ右横の小さなお土産屋とドリンクカウンターでは使えません。
ショーも様々なダンスが見れて良かったです。

First of all, the closing time is too early at 3 PM. On the day of my visit, the lazy river and some slides were closed. The price was too high for just the wave pool. It also took about 30 minutes to get our food after ordering, even though it wasn't crowded at all. I reserved a cabana, but it wasn't necessary due to the short operating hours.

This was my second visit. I was guided to an outdoor seat, but when I requested to change to an indoor seat, I was taken to the second floor, which had a nice atmosphere, and we started our meal. The food was delicious. However, about 30 minutes in, a group of around eight people who completely disregarded the surrounding environment sat nearby. Their loud, almost shrill laughter and vulgar tone ruined the atmosphere. It seemed that most of them had been living in Hawaii for a long time, engaging in noisy conversations in Japanese. They had no manners, and I felt that it lowered the establishment's dignity and reputation. Since I was traveling, I chose not to say anything, and I understand that the restaurant cannot choose its customers, but it would have been nice if they had some measures in place to maintain the restaurant's standards. It was a shame to have such a wonderful dinner ruined. It was disappointing, especially since the food was so good.

By around noon, it seemed that the staff were short-handed due to their breaks, leading to even more closed activities. They did not reopen until we boarded the return bus before 3 PM. It felt almost like a scam. Perhaps it would have been different on another day, but that was the only day my family could go. If you decide to book, it seems to be a matter of luck.

The sandbar was not a beach but a shallow area that was about knee-deep. However, since I checked the tide data in advance, I was able to enjoy it quite a bit. Everyone had fun playing beach volleyball and practicing snorkeling.

The hamburgers for lunch were incredibly delicious. I was also amazed by the number of sea turtles we saw.

The final snorkeling experience was wonderful, with clear water and lots of tropical fish. Even for someone like me who isn't a strong swimmer, it was enjoyable.

All the crew members were fantastic, always keeping us entertained and paying close attention to safety, for which I am very grateful.

I was expecting the sandbar to be on the beach, but the water level was higher than I thought. However, the water was clear. The staff were very friendly and took photos for us.

We were able to see manta rays and sea turtles, which was amazing.

The hamburger for lunch was delicious.

The snorkeling wasn't great at first because the water clarity wasn't very good, making it hard to find fish, but by the time I got used to it, I was able to see plenty of tropical fish.

After snorkeling, there were warm drinks available, and I enjoyed some cocoa.

Above all, the staff were fantastic, and I had a great time. Thank you!

That day, there was one Japanese participant and it was my first time in Kailua, but the female Japanese staff member kindly taught us everything from beach safety tips to how to enjoy the area, as well as how to rent and use equipment, making it easy for us to relax and fully enjoy the tour! Thank you very much! Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach were both much clearer than Waikiki and absolutely beautiful; swimming there was a lot of fun! There were also bike rentals available, which made exploring the town convenient.

I had wanted to order something I had seen others enjoying for a while, but I couldn't because there were no pictures on the menu. However, this time I was able to order it. It was called Chili Cheese, which is topped with chili bean sauce and cheese sauce over fries, and it was very delicious. Meeting at 5:40 AM before sunrise is indeed early, but we were still among the fourth or fifth group to enter the site. We rented a paid option for a parasol and chair set, which I highly recommend due to the strong sunlight. In the morning, there are relatively fewer people, making it enjoyable. Around 10 AM, we had an incredibly lucky surprise when a monk seal suddenly came up on the beach to rest, just about 10 meters from our base. My grandchild had been talking about wanting to see one since before coming to Hawaii, so it was great that we could make that happen by chance. There is a law requiring a distance of over 15 meters from monk seals, so it’s also a good memory that our base had to be moved quickly.

I went there again this time because I had a great time about 10 years ago! The water slides had about a 15-minute wait for each, and I had more than enough fun for about 5 hours!
