My family had a lovely time together as we looked for a low-key activity in the evening after busy days in the sun. For our session, it was cool to meet at the rooftop tennis courts and not too hard to find. We saw a variety of stars, the moon close-up, and even Saturn. Our group was larger than I expected but anyone could ask questions throughout the experience. I'd love more stories or information to be shared throughout, but again it was an easy, light-hearted, and informative night. Also, we didn't want to commit to one of the long star-gazing activities especially on the other islands because it wouldn't work well with the different ages in our group so this was shorter and manageable.

The host was funny and great knowledge about his own culture and traditions. It’s our first time so I wouldn’t be able to compare with other Luau. The show was about the different Polynesian cultures dance so just not only about the fire dance that gets everyone excited. It shows you the dance and the cultures. The Waimea fall is not flowing right now secondary the drought, ( last time occurred in 1992) so my family was little disappointed that couldn’t see the fall and swim in the pond. Look at bright side, this doesn’t happen all the time and I got to see a waterfall without water. Wished there was some warning ahead and I would have planned differently. Otherwise it was still a nice trail for family to walk.

It was a perfect day for a flight. Since it was sunny, I was wondering if yesterday was the same, but it turned out to be the best day for flying due to various conditions like the wind. The warm and reassuring welcome from the owner couple, along with their prior email notification, made for a welcoming flight. I got to see the entire view of Honolulu from the sky for the first time, and the colors of the sky and sea, as well as the wind, were all wonderful. The pilot was friendly and ensured a safe and secure flight. At one point, I unexpectedly got airsick, and we had to land for a break before taking off again. During the break, we were offered cold towels, drinks, and sweets for a relaxing time. The staff went around the airport with a cart, which helped settle my nausea. The view from above and the warm, trustworthy hospitality from the staff made this Cessna flight a wonderful memory for my husband and me. Thank you so much! Oh! On our return, we were interviewed by a TV crew at the airport, and the staff shared the photos from our Cessna flight, which were aired as well! It was filled with many happy moments. I am grateful.

On the second day of our arrival, we had an experience. My husband, our 9-year-old daughter, and I were able to participate together for the first time. Until now, we had only been able to ride one or two people at a time, so it was great to ride as a family of three.

The boat was larger than I expected, and we went out to the open sea for the experience. We were with two other groups. The height was also 150 meters, and we were able to see the most amazing views.

One unexpected thing was that while anchored, the boat swayed a bit, and during sailing, it felt more like we were connected rather than being pulled by the boat, so we felt the swaying from the waves and wind, which made me a bit seasick.

However, we had a wonderful experience with stunning views.

My boyfriend and I visited Honolulu for a week to celebrate my 30th birthday. With so much to do on the island, it can be overwhelming to choose the right excursions, especially if you’re only there a few days. This was hands-down the most fun thing we did the ENTIRE trip! The crew and captain were so accommodating and cool. It’s definitely worth the extra cost to do the banana boat or tube ride ;-)

I experienced parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boating. It was all my first time. I headed to the meeting point with a mix of nervousness, excitement, and anticipation. I mistakenly booked the jet ski and bumper tube, but they quickly changed it for me. The instructions were given in Japanese, and they even made jokes to keep us entertained. Overall, it was so much fun, and I'm glad I tried it.

The ride out to sea on the boat was thrilling at high speed. I felt more fear from the boat's speed while waiting in line with several groups of people. When flying, it was very enjoyable and made me feel elegant. It was a quick flight, and I wished I could fly longer. I purchased the photo data, and I was impressed by the images, which exceeded my expectations.

The basic English support was available, but there was also a Japanese explanation video for horseback riding, which I watched, so even though it was my first time riding, I quickly understood how to ride.
You wear a helmet while riding. You can leave your luggage in a locker and bring valuables and drinks with you (they lend you a pouch).
I was very satisfied with the experience as I could enjoy the scenery of both mountains and the sea in the great outdoors. The horses were also very well-behaved. It was a bit disappointing that the instructor's explanations about the location were often too far away to hear, but they took several photos for me and sent them to my smartphone. For lunch, I had fish and chips at the café inside Kualoa. It was delicious. I had some concerns after reading reviews that mentioned having too much free time, but I ended up not having enough time as I was busy looking at souvenirs.

Overall, this experience was awesome! The sandbar was about a 3 mile kayak away from where you dock. Not super difficult, took us about 30-40 minutes to get there and once we did, it was awesome. the tide was a little high, the water went up to just below my neck and I'm 6 feet tall. We went out at 11 am. There's not much to see snorkel-wise at the sandbar, which was relayed to us by the staff setting us up. It was just a nice place to stand in the middle of the ocean and have a snack or two. They were also clear on where go on the sand bar and where the restricted zone was.

After the sandbar we went out to the coral reefs just around the corner of where we started. By then though, the sun wasn't too bright (it was a gloomy-ish day). we could only see maybe 10 feet in front of us in the water and all the fish were either hiding or just not there. Coral was nice to see and swim around though. Saw sea turtles in the distance but none in the water while we were in it. Finding the snorkel zones were actually pretty difficult. We spent about 20-30 minutes finding good spots, but there are no markers out there so I'm not even sure if we were in the spots they marked on the map. Only 2 other kayakers came to this area, tried looking around but all gave up after maybe 5-10 minutes.

Still had fun overall though, would do it again. Hopefully they add markers out of the water next time though.

We heard we had to try snorkeling on our first trip to Hawaii but neither of us are super-confident swimmers, especially not in the ocean. If that sounds like you, START HERE. This snorkeling experience ended up being just right for two reasons 1) excellent instructor, Zola and 2) excellent location, Magic Island Lagoon. I was excited to try snorkeling, but when it came time to put the mask on, stick my face in the water, and breathe - I couldn't do it. After patient and friendly coaching from Zola, I was finally floating around and breathing under water. I owe it to Zola that I felt ready to sign up for another, more challenging, snorkeling tour later in the week where I got to see more fish and turtles. The location is this peaceful, blue and beautiful lagoon that's protected from the ocean's strongest waves by a barrier. The water is clear and just lovely to swim in. I would go back just to enjoy the beach.

This time, I participated in the afternoon. The reason is that the sandbar can be seen during low tide, and when I checked the time, it turned out that the afternoon was the best time that day. I had previously been taken care of a few times, and this time I requested private lessons for my daughter, who just started elementary school (7 years old)! She was a bit scared at first, but Matt-sensei taught her in a fun way, and before we knew it, she was doing nice rides multiple times! Despite being scared and cold, it seems she had a great time.

I was also able to ride a few times nearby with a board I rented separately, which became a wonderful memory.

Since they incorporate some Japanese while standing, I think even those who can't communicate in English can enjoy it enough. I want to go to Hawaii again soon; thank you for your help next time as well!

My whole family loved this luau! The fact that it also includes entry to the park is a steal; it's beautiful! Our host was very funny and personable. I loved that they have cultural activities like showing the people attending the luau how to open coconuts, and weave leaves into a headband. The food was good, and the host was giving special shoutouts to people who were celebrating things like anniversaries, graduations, etc. The people who were doing the dances did great! Even my sister that's 3 years old was super entertained. You really get a family feel at this luau; shoutout to the 9-year old kid who was doing some fire dancing as well! It was awesome and I definitely prefer giving my money here than some random resort doing shows. The vibe is 10/10!
