I heard it would be rocky, and it really is, so if you are prone to motion sickness, please take some medication before going. There were about 5-6 people from America, 2 from Europe, and around 6 Japanese participants. At first, it shakes quite a bit, which is a bit nerve-wracking, but it calms down towards the end. The staff engages with you, so you can really enjoy the travel atmosphere. They also speak some simple English, so it's recommended for those who want to feel like they're having fun locally. I was able to enjoy a luxurious cruise while listening to upbeat music and having unlimited drinks. At first, I was worried about getting seasick or if the boat would sway, but the other passengers were also in high spirits, and we were able to enjoy the slight rocking like it was an amusement park ride. There were many foreigners on board, and although I was initially anxious, they were actually more lively than the Japanese passengers, and we all had a great time together. The excitement when the sun was setting reached its peak. When we passed by other cruise ships, we waved at each other and cheered, which added to the excitement. This time, I participated with my mother and sister, and both of them praised the cruise throughout our trip. Next time I visit, I will definitely book the catamaran sunset cruise again.

It was the best experience to enjoy drinks on the boat, feeling the wind while surrendering to the pleasant music. I was more moved than I expected when we ventured further out and realized the vastness of the sea with the island behind us. My colleagues also loved this tour, and it seems like it will become a regular course for us from now on. I want to bring my family next time.

Due to the time of sunset, our departure was delayed by about 30 minutes. While waiting, we took photos with the boat and Diamond Head in the background and played in the ocean. Before departure, they took a commemorative photo of each family (available for purchase at $20 upon disbanding).

Onboard, there was an unlimited supply of Mai Tais and soft drinks, along with a tip service. The Mai Tais were incredibly delicious, so I had quite a few refills! About one-third of the guests were Japanese, but it was quite lively, and the breeze felt nice. The captain was cheerful, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.

We were blessed with good weather, and the sunset moment on the boat was truly moving. Depending on the weather, I would love to participate again if the opportunity arises. Of course, the photos taken before we set out turned out great, and I felt good about purchasing them.

The actual activity was great. The boat was new, and the staff was friendly. I docked one star only because VELTRA had the wrong time listed on their website and confirmation. They said we were loading at 6:30PM but the actual loading time was 7:15PM, the booking site had it wrong. Other than that it was a great experience.

The Hilton Hawaiian Village, Prince Hotel, and Ilikai do not require shuttle service. I was unaware that the boarding for the submarine departs from the pier at the beach near the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

The shuttle was 15 minutes late. It took a long time to pick up customers in downtown, and it took 45 minutes to return to our accommodation (which was about a 5-minute walk from the shuttle bus pickup point).

I participated with my daughter. It might have been a coincidence, but on the day we attended, there were few Japanese people, and it was lively from the start, with a local group present. We were moved as we watched the sunset gradually tilt from offshore Waikiki while high-energy music played. It felt like our hearts were being cleansed... those two hours were incredibly happy moments. I want to participate again soon, but since it's popular, it might be difficult to align it with my schedule!

Fantastic! The crew was so nice and the trip was great. The only regret we have is that we waited until the end of our vacation to take it. Otherwise we would've opted for another excursion, e.g. sunrise cruise, fireworks. We will most certainly use this group again when we return to Waikiki.

A line forms in front of the "Rum Fire" at the Sheraton as the time approaches. You must be barefoot when getting on and off. For items that shouldn't get wet, there is a storage space under the middle seat with a lid. You will be scolded if you lie down on the net. It was fine to dangle your feet, though. Still, it feels nice. I didn't see any dolphins, but there was a sea turtle right after we departed. The view is great, and I think watching the raising and lowering of the sails is also a highlight.

It's a very large and impressive ship! After departing, we enjoyed exploring the interior and lounging on the rooftop summer beds. Once things settled down, we were able to see two whales!! It was a bit disappointing that they were a little far away (we couldn't get too close due to regulations), but from then on, we cruised while watching the whales spouting water. Gradually, the initial excitement faded, and it felt less special. Looking back, I realize how luxurious it was.

Additionally, you can enjoy views of Diamond Head and other sights from the sea, making it a simple yet enjoyable cruise. When we boarded, there was smoke billowing from a volcano behind Diamond Head, and fighter jets were flying low and loud, which felt a bit like a Disneyland attraction (laughs).

The whales were too far away for good photos.

Also, the interior of the ship clearly had separate floors for Japanese and foreign guests (possibly due to the language of the announcements), but we were directed to the foreign guest floor. Everything was announced in English, but the foreign guest floor was less crowded and had a nice international travel vibe, which I really enjoyed!

単純にクルージングとしても楽しめます。
私たちが乗船した際は、ダイヤモンドヘッドの奥の火山？から煙がもくもく出ており、
戦闘機が低く爆音でたくさん飛んでいたので、
なんだかディズニーランドのアトラクションのようなでした（笑）

クジラはとにかく遠目なのでよい写真は撮れません。

また、船内は日本人と外国人で明確にフロアが分かれている(アナウンス言語の問題かもしれません)のですが、
私たちは外国人フロアの案内でした。
本当に全て英語アナウンスですが、
外国人フロアの方が空いていましたし海外旅行感があって、
私はとっても楽しめました！

We had a fantastic time...beautiful scenery and great guides (Jake and McCuddy (spelling?)). Swam with the fish and a bunch of turtles and got great pics. Too bad my husband and I got sick after the snorkeling adventure. It had nothing to do with them, I guess we're just not cut out for boating, but they guides were great and took it all in stride. We did our best to still enjoy the ride back. Thanks for a great morning!

I boarded the submarine expecting an underwater stroll in the waters of Hawaii, but to be honest, I was disappointed. The water was murky, making it hard to see, and my whole family got bored halfway through. Additionally, the commentary in Japanese was repetitive, which eventually made us feel sleepy. The father from the family next to us fell asleep partway through. I wish they had considered different diving spots when planning the tour.

This was my second sunset cruise. I made a reservation from Japan. It seems to be quite popular, and it's sometimes hard to get a spot with local bookings. The restrooms are not very clean, but they are available. If you ask the crew, they will guide you. If you're worried about seasickness, I recommend taking motion sickness medication in advance. In winter, I think it might be a bit cold for the sunset, so it's a must-do when visiting Hawaii in the summer.
