The departure location was also close to the hotel where I stayed. Although it was the arrival day, the meeting time was just right. I usually watch fireworks from the beach, but seeing them from the sea was powerful and moving. Even though I was traveling alone, I made friends with a pair of women at the meeting place and was able to have a great time.

This is my second time participating.
There was no guidance in Japanese, and more than half of the passengers were non-Japanese, but that international vibe is GREAT! While feeling a bit tipsy with Mai Tais and sparkling wine, I chatted with the foreigner next to me, saw a pod of about 20 dolphins jumping up close, and witnessed a very beautiful sunset—all for a great price!!
By the way, wearing rain gear or a jacket for warmth is essential!

I've always wanted to ride on a catamaran that I see at the beach. This time, my wife and I, along with another couple, boarded the boat. There were few Japanese guests, mostly foreigners, with about 50 people on board in total.

Under the cheerful captain's signal, we departed from the beach in front of the Sheraton. Drinks were served right away as we headed out to sea. The drinks were all-you-can-drink, with Mai Tai being the main offering, dispensed from a tap similar to a draft beer server. There were also options for beer, champagne, and non-alcoholic beverages.

We sailed around the back of Diamond Head and returned. By the time we came back, we were able to enjoy the night view of Waikiki during sunset, which felt like quite a bargain. I highly recommend it.

*Note: You won't be able to use the restroom for about 1 hour and 30 minutes during the cruise, so be careful not to drink too much.*

We were the only Japanese people on the tour. I couldn't understand Japanese, and I didn't know what the captain was saying, but it was okay, haha.

The tour description mentioned that they would lend us fins, but they only provided snorkeling gear and life jackets. I think the tour details need to be updated. Everyone else around us brought their own fins! It was fine without them, though.

The meeting place was conveniently located in front of a hotel on Waikiki Beach, and I was really looking forward to it since it was my first time on a yacht. Unlike a cruise on a large ship, I think the thrill of being on a yacht and the closeness to the crew and other passengers is a big attraction. The crew was friendly, and there were many drink options, which was great. However, the strong rocking of the boat and the cold as the sun set meant that I couldn't get a refill of cold drinks, even with the all-you-can-drink option. I think it can be enjoyable, but it gets quite cold, so warm clothing is essential.

I was worried about finding the check-in location, but I quickly figured it out, which was a relief. Among the crew and passengers, we were the only Japanese, but that actually made me feel more like a traveler and lifted my spirits.

For the first drink, almost everyone had a sweet cocktail, but after quickly finishing that, we enjoyed unlimited champagne from the second drink (not sure if it was Champagne). Other passengers talked to us, but let's do our best with gestures here.

We toasted while watching Waikiki illuminated by the sunset, toasted again while enjoying the sunset, toasted to the night view of Waikiki, and finally toasted to the supermoon. It was the best cruise that provided various scenes.

I made a reservation on December 27, 2017, but it was changed to the next day due to bad weather. The change was smooth. On the 28th, the weather improved, and I was able to see many whales. My mother, who needs assistance walking, did not go up to the deck, but we were able to see plenty of whales from inside the boat. For lunch, it was a do-it-yourself burger sandwich, which was nice. There were also fruits and cookies available. The guitar player on board was exceptionally talented. Personally, I thought he resembled Kuwaman from Rats & Star (laughs). Compared to the Star of Honolulu, this is a smaller boat, giving it a homey feel, and the captain's gentlemanly demeanor was wonderful. I am very satisfied.

２０１７，１２，２７で申し込みしましたが、悪天候のため翌日に変更。変更もスムースでした。２８日はお天気も回復した、たくさんクジラが見れました。歩行に補助が必要な母はデッキにあがることはありませんでしたが、船内でも十分クジラをみることができました。ランチはいわゆるバーガーサンドを自分ですきな具合でつくるって感じですね。フルーツやクッキーなどもありました。なんといっても船内にいたギター演奏者のうまさといったら格別でした。個人的感想ですが、元ラッツアンドスターのくわまんに似ていました（笑）スターオブホノルル号にくらべて小さな船ですので、アットホームな感じで船長さんの紳士ぶりも素敵。大変満足です。

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see any whales. The day before my participation, there was record heavy rain, so I was worried about the weather, but fortunately, we were blessed with good weather. I decided to enjoy the cruise around Waikiki instead of focusing on whale watching.

I think the cruise duration was about an hour and a half. If whales can be seen from that distance, it seems they come quite close to the Waikiki area.

クルーズ乗船時間は賞味1時間半程度かと思います。あれくらいの距離の移動でクジラが見られるのでしたら、ワイキキ周辺近くまで近づいてくるのだなと思いました。

朝食なしのコースで申し込みましたが、飲み物くらいは出されると思っていたので、お水やペットボトルのﾄﾞﾘﾝｸを持ち込んだ方がいいかもしれません。

それから、クジラを見られなかったときの次回乗船券をいただけるということでしたが、そういったお話しはなく、これはどこで聞いたらいいのでしょう？

Very friendly staff. Check in place is walking distance from my hotel. Since I do get sea sick, I took motion sickness pill an hour before and I didn't eat until it's time to go back to Waikiki beach. Therefore, providing snacks only without meals is perfect for me. They have a guide to swim with us and find turtles and other sea life for us. Our guide even dived to retrieve GoPro for a girl in our group. After snorkeling, they rises their sail and took us to see whales. My 2 teenage boys really enjoyed the activity the whole time.

I didn't like that it took a long time to be picked up by a shared vehicle, so I chose the meet-up plan. I went to the location indicated on the map, which was the center of Aloha Marketplace, but there was no ticket center. I tried calling the local phone number, but it didn't connect, and time was running out, causing me to panic. In the end, I asked a crew member from another boat, who told me that there was a ticket booth next to the boat I was supposed to board, and I barely made it in time. I chose this tour because I heard the whale encounter rate is high. The weather was great, but unfortunately, I didn't encounter any whales, which was disappointing. I just accepted it as a regular cruise. The open deck was windy and surprisingly cold, so a jacket is a must.

We departed while there was still daylight and enjoyed the view of Diamond Head and the streets of Waikiki from the sea as the sunset transitioned into the night. It was a wonderful tour where I could enjoy various drinks like Mai Tais, beer, and champagne, creating great memories. The captain and staff were very friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome even when I asked for refills multiple times. I have been to Hawaii more than ten times, and if I have the chance to go again, I would love to do this tour once more.

まだ、日のあるうちに出発して、夕日が沈む時から夜景まで海からダイヤモンドヘッドやワイキキの街並みを眺めつつ、マイタイやビール、シャンパンまで色々と楽しめて、とても良い思い出に残るツアーでした。
また、船長やスタッフの方もとても気さくで良い方で、お代わりを何度もしても気持ちよく接してくれて良かったです。

My daughters and their families and I all went on the Mai Tai sunset cruise! The boat captain let my 13 year old “drive the boat” for a couple of minutes so we could get a picture! The Mai Tais and sodas for the young ones were unlimited. The sunset views were spectacular! Take this cruise! It’s great for all ages!!!

It was incredibly powerful. A large whale spouted water right nearby, and there were cheers. I was lucky to spot it so quickly. I think it would be amazing to see the whales up close. The boat is large, but if you're prone to seasickness, I recommend bringing motion sickness medication.

I participated in the tour hoping to see whales, as I signed up during a time when other companies had not yet started their whale watching. There was an announcement that a dorsal fin was spotted!
