We ordered a cake as an option since it was our honeymoon and my husband's birthday. I thought it was taking a while for dessert to arrive, and just before the end, we were handed a cake in a box without a "congratulations" plate. I originally thought we wouldn't be able to finish it, so I was hoping they could just add a plate for dessert. However, I was told that if we ordered the cake as an option, we could have the plate, so I requested it, but it was a bit disappointing that there was no celebration aspect.

The food was delicious, and the other services were good.

As soon as we set sail, we saw the sunset, and then enjoyed a meal along with band performances and dancing. The food was delicious, and the band and dance were very impressive. However, the tables are mostly for four people, so be prepared to share. I was seated with a newlywed couple from Korea, but we were spaced out enough that we didn't mind each other. That said, depending on the table arrangement, some seats were quite close together, so if you're concerned about that, it might be better to opt for a two-person table or upgrade your course.

I had imagined a dinner on the deck, but it was actually inside the ship, so please be aware of that (it might have been mentioned in the description). Also, due to the nature of dining inside the ship, many people go out into the aisles to see the sunset, so if you want to take photos, you should move early to secure a good spot.

Despite these downsides, the band (two older gentlemen on guitar and bass) and the energetic dances by performers in traditional costumes were very impressive, so my overall rating is satisfactory! Without those performances, I think my rating would have been around 2.5.

また、甲板でのディナーをイメージしていたのですが、普通に船内ですので気をつけて下さい(もしかしたら説明には書いてあったのかも知れませんが)
あと、船内でのディナーという性質上、サンセットを見るために多くの人が通路に出てしまうので、早めに移動しておかないと写真を撮ったりするのは厳しいです。
しかし、それらのマイナスがあっても、バンド(おじ様2人のギターとベースバンド)や、民族衣装を着たダンサー達の激しいダンスなど迫力満点だったので、最終評価は満足です！
それらの演出が無ければ、評価は2.5くらいだったと思います

I thought it would be a heavy dinner since I was getting tired of Hawaiian cuisine, but the seasoning was to my liking, or rather suited for Japanese tastes (there were many foreigners as well), and the portion size was good, allowing us to have a wonderful time. Since we participated as a couple, we also purchased the window-side seating option. With the addition of cake and champagne, it felt just like a honeymoon. It was a bit embarrassing since we are over sixty.

The all-you-can-eat crab was like snow crab, and compared to Japanese snow crab, the taste and meat quality were somewhat lacking, which is understandable. However, it was difficult to eat since there were no scissors or crab spoons provided. I was disappointed because if we had the right tools, we could have eaten more crab. This cost them one star.

The singing and dancing by the staff were excellent. From our window-side seats, we could see everything clearly, and my wife was delighted. The staff were very active during boarding and disembarking, serving meals, and dancing.

The final song and dance involving the audience created a lively atmosphere, and we had a very enjoyable time. I would like to participate again.

Each class has different events on board, so here are my impressions of the one I attended.

I will take the bus to the stop near Aloha Tower. Most of the passengers are Japanese, but the attendants are locals and the explanations are in English. There are English/Japanese videos playing for important information, so there shouldn't be any issues.

For tourists, the only means of transportation besides rental cars is the trolley, so that alone is quite appreciated. When you look out at the sea from the port where you get off the bus, you can see tropical fish right away!

The ship has a first floor for those having a course meal and a second floor for buffet diners. My husband and I had made a reservation for the buffet on the second floor. I’m not sure about the first floor, but sitting on the second floor, my honest impression was... there are a lot of foreigners! (Of course, but I was a bit surprised since I thought it was a tour popular with Japanese people too.)

While we were seated and waiting for departure, it felt like the crew mainly went around greeting tables that were obviously speaking English, which made me feel a bit excluded. (After departure, it seems they came to my husband while I was away, but since he doesn’t speak English well, he didn’t quite understand.)

You can enjoy one complimentary Mai Tai. The buffet is more of a "one-time visit to get food" style rather than an all-you-can-eat format. This is how a buffet is supposed to be, but the quality is just average. The roast beef seems to be the highlight.

The sunset time is announced in advance, so you can enjoy the deck at that time. Of course, the sunset is backlit (laughs), but it’s something to remember.

After sunset, live music and hula shows begin on each floor. Everything is in English, but the songs played are all famous, and the MC was considerate of guests from various countries, which was nice. The hula show is up close, diverse, and although the space is small, it’s quite impressive.

Before arriving, everyone dances and sings in a circle, making it enjoyable for people of all ages! However, the time spent admiring the night view of Honolulu from the deck was wonderful, and I was mostly outside during the dance.

What I was left wondering until the end was when I should have tipped the waiter (a small boy who was also a dancer) who served us? Was tipping unnecessary for the musicians and dancers? Can someone please let me know?

Personally, I felt that the sunset and the night view of Honolulu were worth the price, and I was satisfied with the dinner as well. I plan to take my parents to Hawaii next time, but since they don’t speak English, I’m a bit hesitant about bringing them along.

席について出発までの間、クルーの方が主に、「一目見てあきらかに英語喋る人たち」のテーブルメインで挨拶に回っていたように感じられ、若干の疎外感がありました。
(出港後、私が外している間に夫の所にも来たようですが、英語ダメなためよく分らなかった様子)
マイタイが１杯サービスでいただけます。
ビュッフェは食べ放題、というよりは「一度だけ取りに行く」スタイルです。いわゆる「食べ放題」では無いです。本来ビュッフェってこういうものなのですけどね。クオリティはごく普通。
ローストビーフが目玉みたいですね。
あらかじめサンセットの時刻がアナウンスされるので、その時間にはデッキに出て気持ちよく過ごせます。もちろんサンセットは逆光ですが(笑)目に焼き付けて・・
日没後、それぞれのフロアで生音楽とフラのショーが始まります。
もちろん全て英語ですが、演奏してくれるのは有名な曲ばかりだし、所々諸外国から来たゲストを気遣ってくれるMCで嬉しかったですね。
フラのショーは間近だし、バラエティに富んでいて、狭いながら見ごたえがあります。
到着前には全員が輪になって踊り歌い、老若男女問わず楽しめる内容でした！
しかしながらホノルルの夜景をデッキから眺める時間が素晴らしく、ダンスの間はほぼ外に出ていたのですが。
最後まで疑問だったのは、サーブしてくれていたウェイター(兼ダンサーの小さい男の子)にはチップをいつ渡せば良かったのか？
ミュージシャン&ダンサーズにはチップは不要だったのか？
誰か教えてください！

個人的にはサンセット&ホノルルの夜景で充分元が取れて、夕食も取れたので満足です。
今度両親を連れてハワイに行きますが、英語は話さないので連れて行くのを少し迷います。

I participated in the Five Star Course. The staff was very accommodating, and I felt like a guest of honor.

The meal was a full course, and the main dish was exceptionally delicious.

We departed in the evening and returned around 8 PM, but the views were stunning, including the sunset sinking below the horizon, Diamond Head from the sea, and the night view of Honolulu.

Onboard, there were Polynesian dances and live jazz performances, which exceeded my expectations.

Drinks were on a ticket system, with up to three free drinks per person. Personally, I found it to be just the right amount, but for those who want to drink more, it might feel a bit insufficient.

Overall, it was a very satisfying experience, and I highly recommend it.

The staff were friendly, the ship was clean and we enjoyed the food and entertainment. The entertainers, from the dancers to the musicians on our deck, were fun to watch and listen to. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. The only downside, in my opinion, was that they served dinner immediately after setting sail. Given that sunset was 30 mins after we sailed, we either had to choose to watch the sunset and let our food get cold, or eat our food and miss the sunset. We had plenty of time to eat, so I wish they had waited until after sunset to serve the food.

Since there are many Japanese people, I found myself wondering which cruise it was, but the post-meal showtime was really exciting. It definitely raised the mood. I think it's because of how well the staff engages everyone. The sunset we aimed for was, of course, beautiful, and I appreciated that there was no rocking. I chose a plan that included transportation, but I had trouble figuring out the location. I think it would be helpful to have a more detailed map and information about what kind of vehicle (bus) would be coming.

I was recommended this for the last night by a friend who loves Hawaii, so I signed up. I was unsure which plan to choose, but considering that my wife doesn't eat much and gets motion sickness, we decided to go with Pacific Star for the atmosphere. I can't compare it to others since I haven't experienced them, but this was definitely the right choice. This was the least delicious meal I had during my trip to Hawaii! Every dish had a strong odor and peculiar taste, and the quality was lacking.
