We participated in the buffet with the whole family. On this day, we had my son's wedding at the Hilton, and in the evening, the entire family went cruising. We ate, drank, and danced; it was the best day ever. The food was delicious as well. The staff were kind, and both we and the children and grandchildren had a great time. Thank you very much.

The three-star venue had no dress code, but I dressed up a bit for the outing. Choosing a window seat was a great decision since it was filled with newlyweds. When I asked the staff about the smoking area, they said it was on the aft deck. That spot was perfect for watching the sunset and the night view of Waikiki, and I took a ton of photos. At the end of the show, we had a group dance during the cha-cha, and it was a lot of fun.

Nice location, lots to keep you entertained, entertainers we’re good, drinks are expensive and very little alcohol in them, and there are lots of people (i.e. long lines). The food was great, and the tour guide was very friendly & funny. Very good luau overall.

I took the bus number 55 from Ala Moana Shopping Center at 8:30 AM, and it took almost two hours. Since I wasn't sure where to get off, I asked the driver in advance to let me know when we arrived at Gunstock Ranch. I got off after the 56-160 on Kamehameha Highway. It was written on a utility pole at stop 46. Right after getting off the bus, there was a sign for Gunstock, so I didn't get lost.

What was frightening was how cold the bus was. Even with a long-sleeved jacket and a towel as a blanket, it was still chilly... Even though I knew it would be cold and prepared for it, I still needed to be cautious. There seem to be various horseback riding courses available, but since it was a place where no Japanese was spoken at all, I participated as a beginner. Next time, I would like to join a different course.

There were no other customers, just the two of us for a little over an hour, walking through the mountains. It was a unique experience that allowed us to feel the time and air that we can't experience in Japan. The sea breeze felt very nice, and it was enjoyable.

Lima, the new female staff member, was very polite and interacted with us, even though we didn't understand English well. Please feel the vastness of the 800 acres of land.

バスを降りると直ぐの所にガンストックの看板もあるので迷いはしないですね。
何が恐ろしかと言うと、なんせバスは寒い

分かっていて、装備をしていてもなので注意が必要です。
乗馬はいろいろなコースがあるみたいですが、全く日本語の通じない所なのでビギナーでの参加でしたが、次回は違うコースで参加したいと思います。
他にお客さんもなく、我々だけでの1時間ちょっと、山の中をお散歩
日本では味わえない、時間と空気を感じる事ができました。
sea wind がとても気持ちよく、楽しかったです。
リマはまだ新しく入った女性スタッフと言う事でしたが、丁寧に英語のわからない私たちに接してくれました。
800エイカーの広大な大地を感じて下さい。

The entry “free” Mai Tai is ridiculously watered down, which is unfortunate as it serves as a poor harbinger of events to come for the evening. Given attendance of 1000 on Christmas Eve at at least $100 per seat, you’d think they could afford to spare a little cheap rum. Anyway, the rest of the event was very well done. Food was excellent. Drinks less so. Dancing and entertainment was superb. The difference in the various packages is difficult to discriminate from the website. Essentially the higher the price the more credit you get for drinks and you get closer to the stage. We chose the orchid package, which is a reasonable compromise and I would recommend this.

The best thing about this luau was the show. The fire dancing was really cool and the activities beforehand were pretty nice. It felt like the drinks had next to zero alcohol in them. The buffet was kind of done on the cheap and with over 1000 people there, it was kind of crowded. It was well organised and the staff were really friendly. If you don’t like things aimed at tourists, you should run a mile. It felt a bit like Disney goes to do a luau. Having said that, we enjoyed the evening, even if it did feel a bit like ‘organised fun’ with the forced getting to know you activities on the bus ride there. I was left wondering if it was really value for the money we paid. At $80 it was kind of expensive for watered down pina coladas and lomi lomi salmon that was mostly just chopped tomatoes with the tiniest little pieces of salmon in it. Also, I’ve seen the exact same things in the gift shop in other stores for much cheaper. All in all, the show was good but it felt like a bit of a tourist trap.

We attended this cruise on 2017/12/24 Christmas eve and it was a wonderful evening from start to finish.The star of Honolulu is an amazing evening from the coach "Royal Star" transferring us from the hotel to the ship and back with great care. Upon arrival, the 5 star guests were ushered to the boat and boarding was separate from others. A photo, drink and canapes were offered on the top deck. We were then shown our seats - private 2 person table along the window - and drinks were served. The menu was a 7 course meal with the Beef with Foie Gras being the highlight of the dinner! Tender and melts in your mouth. Overall the dinner is a 9/10. Wait service was amazing, very helpful, explained all courses and never stopped smiling. Drinks were well made and presented nicely.
The cruise it self takes you along Waikiki beach with some great views of Diamond Head and all of Waikiki. The ambiance the sunset creates is great for all couples and a very romantic backdrop to take photos and video.
Live entertainment was a nice touch, with a Jazz show. The singer had an amazing voice along with the pianist and sax player.
This is truly an amazing dinner evening with your spouse or partner.

My only disappointment with this cruise is the actual time to spend on the deck enjoying the ocean breeze. Dinner is served shortly after leaving the dock which having a course dinner is hard to get up and leave between each course. We did manage after the salad to leave for a few minutes. The waiter kindly waited to serve us the 4th course when we got back.

Overall this cruise is an amazing romantic and wonderful cruise for couples celebrating. Make sure to pay attention during dinner to get great photos of Waikiki, Diamond Head and sunsets.

The show was impressive with the dancers performing right in front of us. Since it was Friday, I thought it was a bit long to be delayed by about an hour to see the fireworks, but the fireworks were nice as well. However, I regret not giving a tip to the waiter who took care of our seats. I used the service on the day of arrival and thought the payment was already settled at the time of booking, so I let my guard down. I would appreciate it if you could include a note about how much to tip, if possible.

金曜なので花火を見るために1時間ほど帰りが遅くなるのでちょっと長いなと思いましたが花火も良かったです。

I participated in the final night of my honeymoon this time. A bus picked us up from the hotel and took us to the boarding area. Once on the ship, we were guided to the top floor by elevator, where we first took a commemorative photo with the captain. This photo was available for purchase later for about 3,000 yen. We were seated by the window and started with some champagne. After that, we could order our favorite drinks using three drink tickets per person. 最後にバラの花も一輪いただきました！

This time, my 5-year-old son and I participated in a 30-minute children's experience course, while my husband and our 7- and 9-year-old daughters joined a 1-hour horseback riding experience. Everyone unanimously agreed that it was wonderful and fun! My 7-year-old daughter was deeply moved, reflecting that in Japan, at my age, they wouldn't let her ride alone for an hour. The horses were truly smart, and my daughters handled the reins like pros. My husband mentioned that riding for a full hour through the hilly pastures and mountain paths would be a great, great, great satisfaction for beginners and children.

During my 30-minute ride, I was on a big horse, not a pony. My 5-year-old son was initially surprised but was thrilled to ride the same horse as the adults. Since he is only 5, a female staff member accompanied him to lead the horse. We went up and down a small hill as well. Although my daughters and husband couldn't ride, they were able to walk alongside us during the hour-long course. It was so enjoyable that the time flew by. One thing to keep in mind is that while there are supermarkets and convenience stores on the way, it's better to bring drinks with you in advance. The restrooms were relatively clean.

It takes about an hour to drive from Waikiki with a rental car. I also recommend having lunch at Giovanni’s in Kafuku, which is near the ranch, for their garlic shrimp!

私が参加した３０分は、ポニーではなく、大きなお馬さんでした。５歳の息子は最初驚きましたが、大人と同じ馬に乗れる事に大喜びしていました。5歳なので、女性の方が１人ついて、馬を引いてくれます。ちょっとした坂道の上り下りもいきます。また、乗馬はできませんが、１時間コースの娘たちや主人も一緒に歩いてついてこれました。楽しくて、あっという間の時間でした。気をつける事は、行くまでにスーパーやコンビニなどありますが、事前に飲み物は持っていった方が良いと思います。トイレも比較的綺麗でした。
ワイキキからレンターカーして１時間位です。牧場の近くのKafuku（カフク）のGiovanni’s（ジョバンニ）でガーリックシュリンプでランチもお勧めですよ

The pickup time was slightly off, but other than that, I was very satisfied. There were no other Japanese tourists on our bus, and the staff couldn't speak Japanese, but everyone was kind and communicated well. I really felt like I was in a foreign country, and the Hawaiian show and the activities leading up to it were interesting, leaving my whole family smiling on the way back.

Inside, the welcome drink, water, and coffee were free, but everything else was charged. There was a photo opportunity with a hula dancer upon entry, and we received a QR code for free. Later, three printed photos came out, but they cost $20.

送迎時間が少しずれましたが、それ以外は大満足でした。私たちのバスには他に日本人観光客はおらず、スタッフの方も日本語が話せませんが、皆さん優しくコミュニケーションをとって下さりました。異国にいるなと実感でき、ハワイショーやそれまでのアクティビティも面白く、家族みんな笑顔で帰ってきました。

It was just ok. The bus was late picking us up and we were late getting there. Traffic from Waikiki to the luau was awful. (I do realize that they can’t control the traffic but sitting in over an hour of traffic doesn’t put you in the best of moods. This luau is actually a good ways away from Waikiki.)

Upon arrival we were given our giftcards and had our pictures taken. Nothing was explained to us. We had to wander around and find things on our own. It is not very big. Looking at the pictures and descriptions it seems as if the grounds are big and there is lots to do. That’s not the case at all. Very small area and not much to do before the show at all. Also, not everyone can participate in the activities. They pre select only a handful of people.

As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, we went with the top of the line package. I do not recommend it at all! The food that was brought to us was all pre selected. The people that went through the buffet were served very quickly (before us) and were able to get exactly what they wanted and as much of it as they wanted. We had a plate full of whatever and most of it I didn’t even want!

The show was ok, but honestly we experienced better at the bars in Waikiki.

We were very sorry we spent all that money on this luau.

I participated with my two daughters (in their 20s) and another family of two (foreigners), making a total of five people. All the staff at the ranch were women and spoke very little Japanese, but they provided clear guidance in English, which made us feel comfortable and allowed us to enjoy ourselves. We spent about an hour relaxing in the beautiful scenery of the coast and the grasslands. After horseback riding, they also gave us plenty of time to interact with the horses. The horses were beautiful, very friendly, and adorable. The staff talked about each horse's individual characteristics and personalities as if they were their own children, which made me, a huge horse lover, feel incredibly warm inside. I had a wonderful time at this ranch, creating great memories. However, one thing that concerned me was that the entrance to the ranch was somewhat difficult to find. I had read in previous reviews that the entrance gate should always be closed to prevent the horses from getting out, so when I closed it, the staff shouted in English for me not to close it, which surprised me a bit.

娘2人(20代)と私の3人、他に2人の親子連れ(外国人)と計５人での参加でした。
牧場の方は全て女性で日本語はほとんど話せませんでしたが、分かりやすく英語で案内してくれたので安心して楽しむことが出来ました。
海岸と草原の最高の景色の中で約1時間ゆったりとした時間を過ごすことが出来ました。
そして乗馬の後に馬たちとたくさん触れ合う時間を設けてくれました。馬たちはきれいで、そしてとても人馴れしていて可愛かったです。係の人は馬の個々の特徴や性格を我が子の様に話してくれて、馬の大好きな私はものすごく温かい気持ちになりました。この牧場でとても幸せな時間を過ごすことが出来てよい思い出になりました。
ただ、１つ気になったところは、牧場入口が若干分かりにくかったです。
以前体験された方の口コミに入口ゲートは馬が外へ出ないように必ず閉めて。とあったので閉めていたら、牧場の方に閉めないで！ と英語で叫ばれて少し驚いてしまいました。

The sunset was really beautiful! The weather wasn't that great, with rain and sunshine alternating, but it just happened to be Friday, and I got to see fireworks too, which was amazing!

You will be picked up at the Marriott and transported to the dock by a large bus. We walked fairly quickly through the Aloha Tower and boarded the ship. After receiving a welcome drink, we enjoyed a buffet dinner while listening to live guitar music. The buffet food was decent. The ship is reasonably large, but it can sway quite a bit depending on the weather. My wife seemed to have a hard time with seasickness. I recommend that those who are prone to motion sickness take some medication.

You have free time until the fireworks, and it's nice to enjoy Hawaiian dance or the sunset. The main fireworks show ends in no time, but it was incredibly exciting. The kids were very happy! We were able to have a pleasant time chatting lightly with other passengers. Since it was the rainy season, there was a bit of rain, but it wasn't bothersome, so perhaps we were lucky with the weather.

アロハタワー内を通り船内まで割と早歩きでの乗り込みました。

メインの花火はあっという間に終わりますが、最高に盛り上がりました。
子供達は多いに喜んでくれました！
周りの乗客とも軽く会話したりと和気藹々とステキな時間が過ごせます。
この時期は雨季でしたので、少し雨が降りましたが、気になるレベルでは無かったので天候に恵まれたのでしょうかね。

I have been to Hawaii several times and have experienced dinner cruises (with another company) before. I didn't have high expectations, but choosing the steak and lobster course was the right decision. The food exceeded my expectations, and the show was engaging and kept the guests entertained. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset due to the weather, but since it was Friday, we got to see fireworks, which was fun. I definitely recommend this tour for those visiting Hawaii for the first time!

After about 1 hour and 45 minutes on the bus from Ala Moana, I finally arrived at a peaceful ranch for a horseback riding experience. The experience started at 11:00, and check-in was at 10:30. Since it was mentioned that it was a bit of a walk from the bus stop, I took an earlier bus and arrived by 9:15.

I was surprised to arrive so early, but I was able to relax and take a nap on a bench at the ranch until 10:30. Perhaps because it was a weekday, we were the only ones there, making it a private horseback riding stroll. Since Japanese was not spoken, I did my best to communicate in English. It was okay not to wear a helmet, and I received a brief explanation before getting on the horse right away!

It was very smooth and hassle-free, which was great, but it might not be suitable for those who want a thorough safety briefing in Japanese or for first-timers.

After about 50 minutes of exploring the ranch, I was able to take photos in a spot with a great view. I was really glad it didn't rain. It was a wonderful horseback riding experience that refreshed my spirit!

アラモアナからザバスに乗って1時間45分くらい、やっとついたのどかな牧場で乗馬体験してきました。
11:00からの体験で10:30チェックイン、バス停から少し歩くとなっていたので、早めのバスに乗って行き、9:15にはついてしまいました。
早くつきすぎてビックリされてしまいましたが、10:30まで牧場のベンチでゆっくりお昼寝しできました。
平日だったからか、私たちしかいなく、プライベートな乗馬散歩になりました(^^)
日本語は通じないので、英語で頑張ってコミュニケーションとりました。ヘルメットしないでもokとのことで、本当に短時間でサラッと説明を受けてすぐ乗馬！
とてもスムーズで面倒くさくなくて良かったのですが、日本語でしっかり安全講習受けたい人や初めての人には向かないかもしれません。

50分くらい牧場内を散策して、見晴らしがいいところで写真も撮ってもらえました。
雨が降らなくて本当に良かったです(^o^)
心が洗われるステキな乗馬体験でした！

My husband and I attended the Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner cruise on 12/06/17. When we had First checked in we were greeted by a nice lady and apologized and told my husband he was not wearing the proper attire for the night. He was wearing khakis and flip flops. The nice thing is they were accommodating going so far as letting borrow shoes and pants for the night. I was so happy cuz we had limited time and wouldn’t be able to reschedule. And it was my fault at not looking for a dress code when I booked it. Once we got on the boat we were greeted by the captain! He was super nice and well dressed (everybody was). The dancers, entertainment and food was AMAZING! Not to mention the excellent customer service they made sure they took care of all our needs. We will definitely do this again whenever we come back! Must do!!!
