I participated in my first overseas trip with my family, along with my 7-year-old daughter (in first grade) and myself (45 years old). My wife (43 years old) and my 3-year-old daughter stayed behind to explore.

We rented a car in Waikiki to head to our destination, but we got lost along the way. When I called for help, a Japanese female staff member who was nearby came to pick us up, which was a huge relief.

My daughter was really looking forward to doing some activities in Hawaii, so we decided to try the Adventure Tower. Before we started, I was a bit worried about whether my 7-year-old would be able to do it, but I went first to show her how it was done. I was surprised to see her bravely cross the suspended boards. The instructors and staff encouraged her with "good job!" while my wife, who was watching, exclaimed, "That's scary, impossible, impossible. You did it—amazing!"

We also did the "Free Fall," where you jump from a height of 15 meters at the top of the tower, and the "Giant Swing," where you jump from just below the top and swing like a pendulum (imagine being suspended by one rope and moving like a swing). We spent about 90 minutes doing these activities, and it flew by.

Although my daughter couldn't reach the top of the climbing wall, she was very satisfied with the fun and sense of achievement she felt afterward. I personally think it's something I can absolutely recommend to those who haven't tried it yet.

Even a 45-year-old dad and his 7-year-old daughter could do it, and there were instructors present, so safety was not an issue at all. I would love to do this again when we visit next time. I want to try the zip line next!

　ワイキキからレンタカーを借り目的地へ向かっていましたが、途中道に迷ってしまい困って電話したところ近くだった事から女性日本人スタッフが車で迎えに来てくれ非常に助かりました。
　今回はハワイに行ったらアスレチックをやりたいと長女が楽しみにしていたのでアドベンチャー・タワーをやりました。
　始める前までは７歳の娘に果たして出来るのか若干不安でしたが、大人の私が先に行き見本を示し、娘が後からやり、ロープで吊るされた板の足場を勇敢に渡って来る姿に逆にビックリで、インストラクターの方やスタッフの方も「good job!」と勇気づけてくれる中、見学していた妻だけが「怖い、無理、無理。出来た～すごい。」と一人盛り上がってました。
　他に、タワーの頂上高さ１５メートルのところから飛び降りる「フリーフォール」、頂上の一段下（？）あたりから飛び降りたら振り子のように揺られる（ロープ1本で吊られてブランコの様に動くイメージ）「ジャイアントスウィング」、タワーの壁に取り付けられたホールドを使って頂上まで登る「クライミングウオール」（ボルダリング）で約９０分間あっと言う間でした。
　娘は最後のクライミングウオールこそ頂上まで登れませんでしたが、終わった後は楽しさと達成感で大満足していました。
　まだやったことのない方にも私個人的には絶対おすすめできると思います。
　４５歳のオヤジと7歳の娘でも出来たし、インストラクターも付いていて安全面も全く問題ありません。
　また旅行に来た際は行きたいと思います。今度はジップラインも挑戦したいですね。

I participated with my fifth-grade and first-year middle school children (ages 40) as a group of three! Since we are an active family that enjoys things like obstacle courses in Japan, I really wanted to go to the adventure park and made a reservation while in Japan.

We arrived after about a 30-minute bus ride from Honolulu, put our belongings in a locker, and were ready to go.

Feeling excited, we headed to the Adventure Tower and were surprised! It was taller than I had imagined... My son was a bit nervous at first, but he easily cleared the first mini bungee jump! With the help of the staff, we managed to conquer all the obstacles around the tower, and before we knew it, an hour and a half had passed!

On the day I participated, there were Japanese staff members, so it was fine even if you couldn't speak English! Inside the Adventure Tower, there were some challenging spots where I thought, "I can't do this after all," but the kind staff came to help, which was reassuring! I highly recommend it for active people, so if you're looking for thrills, I think you should definitely give it a try.

I also think it would be interesting if there were courses that go deeper into the mountains, not just around the tower!

Next, I want to try the zip line.

元々日本でもアスレチックなど好きなアクティブ派なので、アドベンチャーパークにどうしても行きたい！と日本で予約して参加しました。

ホノルルからバスで３０分くらいで到着し、ロッカーに荷物を入れ スタンバイ完了。

ドキドキしてアドベンチャータワーに行ってビックリ！
想像していたよりも高さがある…
最初はややビビっていた息子でしたが、一発目のプチバンジーも難なくクリア！
その後もタワーの周りのアスレチックをスタッフの方にお手伝いしてもらいながら、無事に完全制覇でき、気がつけば１．５時間が経っていました！

私が参加した日は日本人のスタッフがいたので、英語が話せなくても大丈夫でした！
アドベンチャータワーの中にはちょっと難しくて途中で『やっぱり無理〜』という難関もありましたが、その時は優しいスタッフさん達が助けに来てくれますので、その辺りも心強いポイントです！
アクティブ派にはオススメなので、ぜひスリルを味わいたい方は行ってみるといいと思います。

タワー周りだけでなくもっと山の中を進んでいけるコースがあってもおもしろいと思います！

次はジップラインに行きたいと思います。

I took a bus from the Waikiki area for about an hour to participate. After getting off, I had to wait a bit for check-in due to the large number of participants, but there was a space to have light snacks until the start time. The zipline itself seems manageable even without English skills, but I missed some of what the driver said during check-in and on the bus to the zipline location. The guides for the zipline were very energetic and cheerful, making a great effort to entertain the participants, which was a lot of fun. We were blessed with good weather, and I was able to enjoy the magnificent views on most of the seven lines under clear skies. If the weather forecast doesn't look good, I recommend bringing a waterproof jacket instead of an umbrella. There is also a paid photography service, but if you ask the guides, they might take photos and videos for you. After finishing, I had some time before the bus departure, so I relaxed by the sea in front of the facility.

I had been curious about ziplining ever since I saw it on TV and in magazines. Finally, during my multiple visits to Hawaii, I got to experience it! My overall impression is that it was just so much fun! We were worried about whether the tour would go ahead due to heavy rain the day before, but we were blessed with beautiful weather and spent a dream-like time surrounded by blue skies, blue seas, and green mountains.

We had an 8:30 AM local meeting time for the tour, but it ended before noon, allowing us to have some time to explore the North Shore afterward, which was great. The check-in and the tour were mostly conducted in English, but even if you can't speak it well, you can manage just fine.

From the meeting point to the zipline base camp, we drove along a pretty bumpy road, which was actually quite fun. If you're prone to motion sickness, you might want to be careful as it can be quite bumpy. The English guide in the car was relentless with his commentary. Occasionally, he would ask questions, and I just responded based on the atmosphere (laughs). There was one Japanese couple in our tour group, but the rest were from Australia, Spain, and other countries. I can hardly speak English, but I was able to enjoy myself even with just a few words. Having a good vibe is important!

There are free lockers at the base camp, so you'll need to store all your belongings there. You can bring your smartphone as long as it doesn't fall out of your pocket. My husband brought an action camera. There are quite a few things to wear, like helmets, which can get pretty heavy, so it's best to keep your belongings to a minimum.

All the participants in our tour were wearing long pants. Since you'll be wearing a harness, it might be uncomfortable if you wear shorts. There were about half long-sleeve and half short-sleeve shirts. As mentioned by others, you might get bitten by mosquitoes, so it might be a good idea to prepare some insect repellent. I was also concerned about sunburn, so I participated in long sleeves.

Going to the seven points felt a bit like hiking, so I recommend wearing sneakers. Since it was the day after rain, the ground was quite muddy.

There was a 10-year-old girl in the family that joined us, and she seemed to enjoy the tour. As long as you're okay with carrying a heavy load and aren't afraid of heights, I think kids can have a great time on this tour.

There were three tour guides with us, but they hardly spoke Japanese. However, they really tried to keep the energy up, so let's enjoy it together! ベースキャンプに無料のロッカーがあるので、そこですべての荷物を預けることになります。スマホはポケットから落ちなければ持っていっても大丈夫。主人はアクションカムを持っていきました。ヘルメットなど装着するものがとにかく多く、かなりの重さになりますので持ち物は最低限に。

私たちのツアー参加者は皆さん長めのパンツを履いていました。ハーネスを装着するので、ショートパンツだと食い込んだりして痛そうです。長袖・半袖は半々くらいでした。他の方のコメントにもあるように、蚊にさされます。虫除けを準備しておくと良いかもしれません。私は日焼けも気になるので長袖で参加しました。
７カ所のポイントに行くのはちょっとした山登り風ですので、靴はスニーカーがおすすめです。雨の翌日だったこともあって、結構どろどろでした。

一緒になったファミリーには１０歳の女の子もいましたが、楽しんで参加していました。重たいものを背負って歩くのが苦でないことや、高所恐怖症でなければお子さんも楽しめるツアーだと思います。
　
ツアーガイドさんが３人ついてくれますが、日本語はほとんど通じません。でも一生懸命盛り上げてくれますので、ノリで一緒に楽しみましょう！「サイコー！！」「チョータノシイ！」とか言ってくれますよ（笑）
ワイキキ界隈のビーチも素敵ですが、自然の偉大さに包まれたジップラインもおすすめです。ぜひ楽しい時間を過ごしてきてください！！

I was torn between choosing Kualoa Ranch or Keana Farms with transportation included, but I decided on this one. Since Keana Farms is not a large tour with mixed groups, there was hardly any wasted time waiting for others during transportation, allowing us to make the most of our time. The first zip line took a bit of courage, but once I got used to it, it was incredibly fun. It was a bit unfortunate that the wind was strong, but the scenery was beautiful, and it offered an experience that is hard to come by in Japan. Most of the staff and other guests were foreigners, so the conversations were in English, but there was one person at the reception who spoke Japanese and provided us with additional explanations just for us. They were very considerate, even checking in on us after we finished.

送迎付きでクアロア牧場かケアナファームかで迷いましたが、こちらを選びました。
ケアナファームは大型ツアーの混載ではないので、送迎の際に他の方を待つ無駄な時間が殆どなく、自分達の時間を有効に使えました。
ジップライン自体は最初の1本が少し勇気がいりましたが、慣れたら最高に楽しいです。
少し風が強かったのが残念ですが、景色も美しく日本ではなかなか経験出来ない体験ができます。
スタッフも他のお客さんもほぼ外国人なので、会話は英語ですが受付に一人日本語が出来る方がいて私達だけに別途説明もしてくれて、終わった後も声をかけてくれたりとても気を使って頂きました。

I learned about this tour on TV and thought it looked "thrilling and fun," so I participated with my mother as one of the memories of our trip to Hawaii. We took a bus to the location, dropped off our luggage, and put on our harnesses and helmets—ready to go! I felt a bit nervous as I received the instructions, thinking it looked manageable when I saw it on TV. However, seeing the height in person was surprisingly daunting! I also learned that I would have to attach my own harness to move around, which required a sense of balance and made me feel quite scared at first.

But as I got used to it, it became more enjoyable, and I started to feel excited about what kind of thrills were next. Whenever I felt anxious, the staff on-site were quick to help, which was reassuring. There was a final stage that resembled bungee jumping, but I couldn't do that part. However, the staff connected my harness to the rope, and I managed to swing and land on the ground. It was scary, but it was a unique experience that I was really glad to have. I used muscles I don't usually use and ended up with muscle soreness, but that too is a great memory!

でも、慣れてくると面白くなってきて、次はどんなスリルがあるのかとちょっとワクワクしていました。
不安な時は現地の係の人がすぐに助けてくれるので安心でした。
最後のステージでバンジージャンプのようなものがあったのですが、それだけはできませんでしたが、命綱を係の人がロープに繋いでくれて、スイングして地面に何とか着地しました。
怖かったですが、こういう時しかできないのでとってもいい経験になり、やって良かったと思いました。普段使わない筋肉をたくさん使い、筋肉痛でしたが、それもいい思い出です！

A challenge on my own just before turning 50. This trip was a reward for myself, so I wanted to experience something I couldn't in Japan. When you think of Hawaii, you think of the ocean, but the nature at Kualoa Ranch is amazing. The three instructors (including one woman) were cool and fun. The only scary part was the first run; after that, it was just incredibly enjoyable! There are quite a few mosquitoes, so I recommend using insect repellent. I got bitten a lot. I definitely want to challenge myself again and again. I absolutely recommend it.

５０歳手前での一人でのチャレンジ。　今回は自分へのご褒美の旅でしたので、日本では味わえないことをと思い申込みました。　ハワイと言えば海のイメージですが、クアロアランチの自然は最高です。　インストラクター３人も（女性一人含む）かっこいいし、面白い。　怖いと思うのは最初の１本目だけで、あとはもうとにかく最高に気持ち良い！　結構蚊がいるので虫除けされることをお勧めします。　たくさん噛まれました。　とにかく何度でもチャレンジしたいと思いました。　絶対におススメです。

We had a very enjoyable experience as a couple. By the time it started, the rain had stopped, and there was a bit of wind, so it was a little chilly, but it was an experience that made us forget about that. It was absolutely amazing! I participated with my 10-year-old daughter. This time, we didn't rent a car during our stay in Oahu, so the shuttle service was very helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and ziplining for half a day. Of course, all the explanations were in English, but we could still have fun within our understanding. It's fine to just follow along.

My daughter was a bit light and couldn't make it to the end, so she had to backtrack, but it was a great memory when someone came to help her like Spider-Man, and everyone was surprised and laughing. It was a nice reminder that there are different ways to enjoy Oahu. I definitely want to participate again!

I recommend wearing quick-drying short or long sleeves to prepare for sudden rain. If your shorts are too short, the belts and other gear might rub against your skin. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty from rust, and if you're taking photos, pants with pockets that won't drop things even when you're upside down are a good idea.

There will be explanations along the way, but if it seems like you won't make it to the goal, they will throw a rope from the goal. There is a short red rope attached to it. If you think you can't reach it on your own, grab that red rope, and you can be pulled! My daughter barely reached that red rope and ended up having to go back. Adults should be mostly fine!

スコール対策のためにも乾きやすい半袖か長袖をおススメします。下もショートパンツ過ぎると、身体に装着するベルト諸々が皮膚にあたると思います。錆びなどで汚れても良い服装、写真を撮るなら逆さになっても落ちないポケットのあるパンツがいいですよ。
・途中で説明がありますが、ゴールまで届きそうにない場合、ゴールの方からロープを出してくれますが、その先に赤い短いロープが付いています。自力で届かなそうでむり！と思ったときにその赤いロープにつかまれれば、引っ張ってもらえます！
娘はその赤いロープにもギリギリ届かなくて、
逆戻りしてしまいました。大人はほぼ大丈夫です！

Adventure Tower was a lot of fun and brought me back to my childhood. However, you might feel it's not quite enough. I could hear the voices of a group doing the zip line, and I thought, "We want to do that too." The buggies were also appealing... Since it was an experience course, I can't ask for too much, but of course, there are safety harnesses. However, the course is quite athletic and progresses through very unstable footing, so it might be a bit tough for those with a fear of heights or lacking confidence in their legs. The next day, I had a bit of muscle soreness. You also have to hook the safety harness yourself, but it's set at a slightly high position, which might be challenging for shorter people like children. At the end, we did something like a low bungee jump. I got to experience the feeling of being Tarzan, but even for someone like me who isn't afraid of heights, it was a little scary. If you're someone who wants to try bungee jumping someday, this could be a good warm-up.

The facility is new and clean, and there are chickens and rabbits, making it a fun place for children to visit. I think it's reassuring that there are staff members who can speak Japanese. They were energetic, friendly, and kind from the morning.

I experienced the Adventure Tower. Although I have a fear of heights, I managed to clear the lower level while sweating with nervousness. I had to retire from the upper level, but my boyfriend took on the challenge! Just watching him made my legs shake, but it was fun!

From the top floor, you can experience a 50-foot (about 15 meters) free fall, but both of us had to retire. What a shame! However, I was initially hesitant to try the swing on the lower level, but once I did, it was a lot of fun! Next, I want to try the zip line!

最上階からは50フィート(約15メートル)のフリーフォールが体験出来るのですが…２人共リタイア。残念！しかし下の階で出来るスイングは最初はなかなか踏み出せなかったけどやってみたら楽しいかったです！次はジップラインに挑戦してみたいです

We, who have no English skills, managed to get by with the atmosphere, but the explanations were almost entirely in English. The staff were all very kind, and we were able to have a bright and enjoyable time. However, the smell of the harnesses and hats used for the zip line was... I think there are some hits and misses, but even Febreze might not help. My clothes ended up smelling too, and I changed after arriving at the hotel.

The zip line itself was surprisingly fast and fun. The transportation included a movie filming tour, which was very fulfilling.

We took on a challenge during our honeymoon! On the day, there was another Japanese couple, which made us feel more at ease. However, all the explanations were in English, so I was completely lost... When you think of Hawaii, you might think of the ocean, but the ziplining in the mountains was amazing. The view while gliding down, looking out at the sea from the mountains, is breathtaking.

There are multiple courses, and it takes about two hours, but there are water stations and some snacks along the way, which shows their attention to detail in service.

The staff only speaks English, so Japanese visitors might feel a bit anxious, but that didn't matter at all; I was able to enjoy it thoroughly.

This was my first time participating.
I joined other activities as well, but this was the one I enjoyed the most!
However, I think some English is necessary to fully enjoy it.

I participated with transportation provided.
It took about an hour and a half by car to get there.
The driver explained the history and scenery of Hawaii along the way.
In our group, there was a self-introduction among participants in the car.
This was all in English.
If you can understand it, the content is very interesting, but if you can't, you might feel discouraged right from the start.

Most of the participants were from overseas.
On the day we participated, there were no other Japanese participants.
There was one person on-site who spoke Japanese and explained how to put on the equipment.
All explanations from the staff during the activity were in English.
I think they will teach you how to slide using gestures, so there shouldn't be any problem with sliding.
However, since the staff and participants converse in English, being able to speak it will allow you to join in the conversation and enjoy it even more.
All the staff were young, very lively, and it was great.

On the way back, the driver was considerate of our fatigue and drove quietly.

During the zip line, it doesn't matter whether you speak English or Japanese, so you can have a lot of fun!

現地では１名日本語を話せる方がおられて、装備の装着の説明をしてもらいました。
アクティビティ中のスタッフの方からの説明は全て英語でした。
滑降方法などはジェスチャーを交えて教えてもらえると思うので、滑るには問題ないと思います。
ただスタッフ、参加者が英語で会話をするので話せると会話に入れてより楽しめます。
スタッフの方はどの方も若く、とても活気がありとても良かったです。

帰りはこちらの疲れにも配慮してくれて、ドライバーの方も静かに運転をしてくれます。

ジップライン中は英語も日本語も関係ないのでとても楽しめます！
景色は綺麗ですし、滑降している間は思わず叫んでしまうほど気持ちがいいです！

Out of the 11 participants, only three of us were Japanese. There was a woman at the reception who spoke Japanese, and she kindly explained how everything worked right from the start, so we didn't struggle to understand. The local staff members who joined our group, including the Japanese-speaking woman at the reception, were all full of hospitality, and we had a great time. We were able to experience the warm spirit of the North Shore, and the zipline through the rich forest while looking at the beautiful sea of the North Shore was an extraordinary experience that became a lifelong memory. I would love to participate again.

I had to book a last minute zipline tour so I did it over the phone. The person who helped me was extremely friendly, informative, and efficient. She got my zipline booked and everything went smoothly as planned. I didn't read the voucher carefully but it also included photos, which I didn't know so I paid for it after my zipline experience. I emailed Veltra and they confirmed that the pics were included so I ended up getting a refund for the pics.

I highly recommend Veltra for any of your activitiy needs.

I received information in advance about how to get there by car from Waikiki, so I arrived without getting lost. The thrilling zip line, which you can't find in Japan, was the best! Along the way, there were various simple activities that were fun. There was a cute guide named Dua Dura who spoke Japanese, which made me feel safe and allowed me to enjoy the experience.

On that day, there were no other Japanese people besides my wife and me at any time. Both my wife and I have no problem with English, but there was also a receptionist (instructor??) who could speak Japanese, and she explained the important points to us in Japanese.
The first and second runs were tense. From the third run onward, I gradually got used to it and felt a sense of exhilaration. My wife slowed down midway and stopped in the middle twice, which the instructor found unusual and laughed about. My husband and I and our 13 year old son all had a fantastic day ziplining. It was our favourite day of our stay in Hawaii, great fun, amazing views, fantastic staff and something we won't forget. Would highly recommend.
