I paid 93 for the snorkeling thinking it be something to remember.. but the only thing I’ll remember it the waist of money it was my whole family paid and it was a waist. Its a free for all you get trampled and just sucks in all honesty the people are nice and we meet some nice people on the boat but they sell you this amazing experience and its not, you cant see anything at all, if you want to paddle board or go down the slide even kayak this is the place for you but don't do it for the snorkeling it be a waist of money like it was for us … hope this helps another person not make the same mistake we did . Turtle should not be in the title

It says turtle in the title of what this excursion is. It says snorkeling in the title as well. All this was about was taking a bunch of water toys in the middle of the ocean and playing on them. While we were out there, I asked if we were going somewhere else to see the turtles and was told this is nature. Sometimes you see them , sometimes you won’t. Again, this was not about seeing sea turtles and the title needs to be changed. We paid $150 person to jump off side of boat, jump on trampoline, kayak/paddle board and TRY to snorkel in the middle of all this chaos. Tell it like it is and don’t be devious in the title. The crew was the only reason we have 3 stars and tipped on top of what we already paid. They were very nice. But this isn’t what it says it is. Don’t be fooled.

First time taking the Surf Bus. Driver was on time. He was knowledgeable. Didn't like his attitude at first because he had a way of making you feel foolish but at the end, he turned out to be a nice guide. My family and I did the waterfall hike and kayaking. The waterfall hike was timed for three hours. It was a beautiful hike through Waimea Valley seeing tropical plants and birds. To my surprise, the waterfall was smaller than I thought. There were too many people swimming already and it was only 10am. My kids did not want to swim because of the amount of people in the water. Even after the hike, and the waterfall and even ate lunch at the cafe, three hours was too much. It could've been spent doing other activities. We went kayaking in the afternoon. My family enjoyed that even though we didn't see any turtles. We were disappointed that we couldn't walk to town and get shaved ice because the line was too long. All in all, my family had a decent time.

We thought we were booking a turtle snorkel it turns out it was a water sports trip. The boat is in terrible condition. Needs maintenance. When we got to where we we’re going it was a free for all. No coordination. They immediately launched kayaks, paddle boards and a floating trampoline from the stern. At the same time they lowered a water slid from the bow. They made no effort to separate the snorkelers from the kayaks and paddle boards. We wanted to snorkel, but after getting hit in the head 4 times by kayaks and paddle boards we exited the water and waited to return to the harbor. We personally observed several snorkelers get landed upon by people using the water slide. When we went to leave they did not do a head count to make sure everyone was back on board. We have scuba dived and snorkeled from Morea, Guam, Bahamas and Cayman Islands, and we never experienced a trip where they combined water sports such as these with snorkelers. Very dangerous.

Lots of activities and fun

You have to get the deluxe package though. The slide is lots of fun. Jumping off the second story. Kayaking, paddle board.
Lots to do beside the snorkeling.
The snorkeling can be hit and miss depending on current and boat position. Make sure you ask the crew where the reef is located. Otherwise it will be hard to see any marine life.

Sam was our tour guide and did a great job. It was the perfect balance between plenty to do and downtime. We did the falls and then paddle boarding up the river, where we saw sea turtles. The entire day was perfect. I would highly recommend it.

I think there are several Japanese staff members, so those who don't understand English can participate with peace of mind. Both the Japanese and American staff were very friendly. There is also a shop, so it was great to be able to buy necessary items and souvenirs. I had a lot of fun. This is my best memory from this trip to Hawaii. I definitely want to participate again!

My first experience with SUP was great; they taught me everything from scratch, and I was able to enjoy it even as a beginner. After the activity, I could rent a bike or snorkel and went all the way to Lanikai, which was very fulfilling. However, I was a bit disappointed that the bus gathering time was early; if it had been about an hour later, I could have enjoyed it more leisurely.

I don't really recommend winter. The weather is bad, and it gets cold when it rains. Also, when it rains, it's not really suitable for exploring Kailua. Going without a guide is truly free, but I definitely recommend going with a guide for those who are inexperienced. My mother, who participated with me and is inexperienced, had to retire due to the bad weather. Everyone at the shops was kind and nice! I want to go again in the summer for a revenge trip.

My husband and I had our first experience with SUP. The instructor, Mieko, provided thorough explanations, allowing us to feel at ease during the experience. Following her advice to jump sideways instead of forward when falling for safety, my husband jumped sideways quite well.

Although the weather had been bad until the day before, we were fortunate that the conditions were great on the day itself. While paddling and enjoying the natural scenery of the clear sea and distant mountains, we quickly arrived at the island offshore.

Thank you for taking photos as well. They became a wonderful keepsake. I would love to try it again if the opportunity arises!

My first time in Hawaii, my first time SUPing. The weather was bad and there was wind, so it turned into a river experience. It was cloudy, but it didn't rain, so that was good enough. The explanations were easy to understand, and I got to take a lot of photos, creating great memories. I also rented a bike, and although it was tough to get to my target pancake place and Lanikai Beach, I achieved my goal! If I could wish for anything, I would have liked one more hour of free time. Next time, I want to try it on a sunny summer day. Thank you, Emiko!

My first experience with stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). First, on the sandy beach, an instructor who had been an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) in Japan gave a thorough lecture in fluent Japanese. Then we headed to the ocean. At first, I struggled to stand up because it was unstable, but once I could move freely in the direction I wanted, the fun doubled. Even a woman in her 50s was surprisingly able to get on and enjoy it quickly. It was also a strange experience to view the hotels in Waikiki from the sea. Initially, I had a reservation for 1:30 PM, but due to heavy rain, it was canceled on the day, and I rescheduled for 8:30 AM on another day. However, the sea was calm in the morning with fewer people, so I recommend the morning time (the staff mentioned this too). Waikiki Beach Services also has Japanese staff, which is reassuring. They keep your belongings in a shelf under the reception counter. As a side note, after that, when I rented a surfboard, I got a half-price repeat customer rate. The next day, I rented SUP equipment cheaply at Fort DeRussy Beach and had a great time. I realized how important it is to receive proper lessons from the instructor at the beginning. By the way, the reception for Waikiki Beach Services is at a counter within the pool area of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It seems easy to find but can be a bit confusing, so just a heads up.

During my 4-night, 6-day trip to Hawaii, I found myself with some extra time, so I made a last-minute reservation on-site. When I booked, I was instructed to print the voucher, but I didn't know how to print it in Hawaii. However, the staff at the reception were very helpful, so it turned out fine. I was also relieved to find that the receptionist spoke Japanese very well. They even took care of my valuables at the reception.

The SAP was quite challenging, but thanks to the enthusiastic instruction from Matt, the instructor, I was able to stand up successfully! Additionally, it was truly moving to see a sea turtle up close during the lesson.

I was a bit anxious since it was my first activity, but I had a great time. The fact that it only takes about an hour at Waikiki Beach makes it easy to participate, which is another great point. I definitely want to join again the next time I visit Hawaii.

4泊6日のハワイ旅行で、時間が余りそうだったので急遽現地で予約しました。
予約の際バウチャーを印刷してくださいとの案内が出ましたが、ハワイで印刷する方法もわからず当日を迎えましたが、受付の方が対応してくださったので大丈夫でした。

初めてのアクティビティで不安もありましたが、本当に楽しかったです。
ワイキキビーチで1時間程で終わるため、気軽に参加出来る点もお勧めポイントです。
次回ハワイに行く時も是非参加したいです。

Better the first time

I had fun hiking to the waterfall and going swimming but the water was freeeezing!! I felt like the first time I did this activity we had a lot more time. I was able to snorkel, eat, stand up paddle and walk the town. This time I felt like going to the nut farm wasted a lot of time to do the activities. That part should be taken out and the time should go towards the actual activities. But all in all is was fun.

It was my first time trying SUP, and they taught me very carefully! We started practicing on a calm river, and once I got used to it, we moved to the ocean, which was reassuring. On the day, the wind was very strong, and it was quite difficult to move forward, but I managed to reach the island. It's a nice memory that the instructor praised me as well.

Also, I left my phone in the locker, but the instructor took a lot of pictures, so it was fine! (Requests are also welcome.)

You can enjoy local food for meals. I felt like a true local boy! (laughs) In the afternoon, we cycled to Lanikai Beach and had a great time! It was such a fun experience that made me want to do SUP again in Japan!
