Lunch was mediocre, just enough to fill my stomach, and neither the burger nor the curry was of high quality. After eating, I finally headed to the athletic area. During our stay, we requested two lessons. My 8-year-old son discovered the joy of surfing during the first lesson. Right after the first lesson ended, we made a reservation for the next day. Since Matt, the instructor, was so kind, we arranged for the second lesson with him as well! I was amazed that he was already standing on the board during the first lesson, but he improved even more during the second lesson, so I’m grateful that we decided to do it.

For the second lesson, we were at a location a bit farther away, so we couldn't take photos from the beach, but the photographer took some wonderful pictures for us. My son is already saying, "Next time we go to Hawaii, I want to surf every day!" Waikiki BeachBoys is a school where not only the coaches but all the staff are warm and welcoming, and I definitely want to request lessons again! Thank you very much.

We had a surfing experience as a family of four. I thought it would be difficult, but we started by holding onto the instructor's hand, and my father and two sons (a high schooler and a sixth grader) were able to ride on their own after just one or two tries. (My younger son even improved to the point where he could play rock-paper-scissors with the instructor while riding the waves. On the other hand, my mother got nervous and retired after one attempt.)

The session lasted about 60 minutes, including a pre-briefing, and since we were the only participants, we were able to enjoy it multiple times. However, towards the end, my eldest son fell off the board and was unable to flow back to the rear, getting stranded in the waves. This led to a tense situation where the instructor rushed to rescue him, and another staff member had to stop the waves. Fortunately, my son was able to escape on his own, but it reminded me that there are risks involved in water activities.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable activity that is not something you get to experience often, so I highly recommend it.

We could use Aqua Venture starting at 10 AM, so until then, we did activities like SUP in the lagoon. However, once Aqua Venture opened, both the kids and adults found it so enjoyable that we didn't return to the lagoon.
