This time, we stayed in Hawaii to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. We participated in a VIP tour based on a recommendation from one of my mother's friends. We were able to take the elevator to the fourth floor from the Royal Hawaiian Center, Building B, to reach the venue. We arrived at the venue by 5:15 PM.

The meal was a buffet in an outdoor space with a roof. We received service tickets for a Mai Tai and another drink, so we had plenty of alcohol! The buffet offered a variety of dishes to enjoy. However, the waiting time for the meal was too long, so it would be best if that could be improved.

When it was showtime, we moved to the indoor theater. We were seated in the central front area, which allowed us to see the performers up close. The show was packed with entertainment and lasted about two hours! There were dancers who could perform in any genre, from Elvis to Michael! It felt more like an entertainment show than just a hula show, and from that perspective, it was very impressive!

Personally, there was one song by Israel that I loved, and I wished I could have heard a few more solo songs from him. At the end, there was a photo session, and everyone in the venue seemed to have a great time. I want to tell my friends about this experience!

プレスリーにマイケルに、どのジャンルでも踊れるダンサーの皆様に！！！
フラショーというよりエンタメショー、その角度で観たら見応え十分でした！！
個人的には、イズラエルが一曲あったのですがステキな声でもう何曲かソロで聞きたかったです⭐︎
最後にはフォトセッションなどもあり、会場の皆様大いに楽しまれてました。
お友達にも教えてあげたいと思いました！

When I was thinking about what to do in Hawaii, I decided to book a traditional Hawaiian show from Japan. Before the show, we enjoyed a lovely buffet-style meal. It was fun to watch hula dancing right in front of us while we ate.

The pineapple juice we had first was delicious, and it really made me feel like I was in Hawaii. The beef and fruits that were cut and grilled right in front of us were tasty, and I ended up feeling quite full.

The show featured not only hula but also performances resembling Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, making for an enjoyable time. The fire dance was impressive, and the content was very fulfilling. I thought this optional tour was a great value, especially during this time of yen depreciation.

We gathered in front of Ross Dress for Less at 4:10 PM, and a Mercedes van came to pick us up. The driver was wearing a black suit, and the van had leather seats, making for a comfortable ride. From the moment we were picked up, there was a strong sense of luxury.

It took about 40 minutes to reach the venue, Kahalu'u. The venue overlooking the fish pond had seating arranged according to the number of participants. Being a private location, it was very quiet. Surrounded by greenery, the nearby mountains alternated between clouds and sunshine, allowing us to feel the natural beauty of Hawaii.

There was about an hour before the hula show and meal began, but they had prepared some simple activities for us:
- Making bracelets with tea leaves
- Tattoo stickers
- Limbo
- Something like traditional bowling

As we strolled around, participated in activities, and relaxed a bit, the show began. It was a smaller show featuring one musician, two female dancers, and two fire dancers, but we could see it up close, and it had a homey atmosphere. Toward the end, there was time to dance together, and we could take photos with the dancers.

The meal was a course dinner, including appetizers, salad, main dish, and dessert, all very delicious. The portions were just right for men, but might be a bit much for women. 終盤は一緒に踊る時間もあり、最後はダンサーと一緒に写真撮影もできます。

食事はコース料理で、前菜、サラダ、メイン、デザートと、とても美味しくいただけました。
男性にはちょうど、女性には少し多いかもぐらいの量でしょうか。
アルコールは2杯分含まれていて、ビール、ワイン、ソフトドリンクが選べます。
足りない場合はビール8ドル、ワイン10ドル、ソフトドリンク5ドルで追加注文できました。
また、その場で作ってくれるカクテルは15ドルで、ブルーハワイ、ピニャコラーダ、マイタイがありました。

フラショーと料理が終わった後は、20時ぐらいに現地を出発し、ワイキキ到着は20時30分過ぎでした。

料金は安くありませんが、素敵な場所で美味しい料理を堪能できますし、スタッフさんが参加者を楽しませてくれようと一生懸命に対応してくれているのが伝わってきます。
何かと積極的に話しかけてくれ、写真も積極的に撮ってくれます。
旅行の最後の方に入れると、少し優雅に、少しのんびり、旅の最後を綺麗に締めくくってくれる、そんな時間を過ごせるのではないかと思います。

なお、6月の参加で日が長かったため、集合は夕方でしたが、日焼け対策はしっかりした方が良かったです。
また、少し蚊などの虫がいますので、早めに虫よけスプレーをお借りした方が良いです。

I had seen a hula show before, but this was a different kind of entertainment show! I signed up for the VIP type, and right from the start, I received a fresh lei. Since the welcome at the airport is no longer a thing, this really put me in a Hawaiian mood. The meal started about 40 minutes after the gathering time, but I was able to enjoy a Mai Tai (which you could choose to have with or without alcohol) while waiting. The Mai Tai was refreshing and delicious. I also had coffee and pineapple, and there were staff members playing the ukulele, making the waiting time enjoyable. After that, it was buffet and hula! I visit Hawaii every year, but this was my first time seeing RockAHula. The Mai Tais and food were even better than I imagined! In between meals, we enjoyed hula dancing, ukulele music, and singing. Both Japanese tourists and locals were having a great time.

From the VIP seats, we were able to watch the show right in the front, enjoying hula and Hawaiian songs, including Elvis and Michael's performances. The engaging production made the time fly by! I highly recommend seeing it at least once.

I visited the 4th floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center for the first time, and I found it right away. There was staff at the reception who spoke Japanese, so I was guided very smoothly. We were greeted by beautiful hula dancers who presented us with flowers, and we toasted with pineapple cocktails as we took our seats! Each family had their photos taken, creating wonderful memories.

The buffet featured freshly prepared meat dishes that were served right in front of us, making it a visual delight as well!

We were able to watch the show from the center, and the cast even came down from the stage to interact with us.

Not only did we enjoy hula dancing, but we also experienced a variety of different genres of performances, which was incredibly stimulating!

During my sixth trip to Hawaii, I went to see a show for the first time. It seems to be held daily, but the seats were nearly full, and the buffet meal was very delicious. There were many participants who were not Japanese. My husband also got to participate in a hula lesson, which was a very enjoyable experience.

After that, we moved to the show, and sitting in the middle, it was truly impressive. The two lead female dancers were very beautiful, and their dancing was sharp and captivating. I wasn't very familiar with Elvis Presley due to my generation, so I couldn't tell how similar he was, but other guests were standing up and getting excited. I thought the structure of the show was wonderful.

What I felt during this trip is that, overall, the number of staff who can speak Japanese seems to have decreased compared to before the pandemic. However, it was definitely the right choice to select this show during my long-awaited return to Hawaii. I highly recommend it!

エルビスプレスリーは世代的にあまり知らなかったので似ているのかは微妙でしたが、他のお客さんは立ち上がって盛り上がってました。ショーの構成はとても素晴らしいと思いました。
今回の旅行で感じたのは、全体的に日本語を話せるスタッフの方が（コロナ前と比べて）減っているようですね。でも久しぶりのハワイでこのショーを選んで正解でした。ぜひオススメします！

Since it is located within the Royal Hawaiian Center, I was able to get there without getting lost. By presenting the voucher at the reception right after going up the escalator, I was smoothly guided, and the woman at the reception spoke Japanese, which made me feel at ease.

The meal was buffet style, so it was neither particularly good nor bad, but the show was truly wonderful. I was able to experience the unique excitement of the audience that you can only find overseas, making it a very good experience.

Great show but the provided transport got us there late

We appreciated the Chief's showmanship and humor as well as the dancers. Food was very good and we were thoroughly entertained.
Only negative is that we bought the package with transportation and it got us there after all the cultural activities were finished. That was disappointing since we could have just Ubered over and skipped the bus ride. Keep in mind that this Luau is quite a ways from the Waikiki area.

My family are really excited to have luau buffet and the show and this was main activity for our trip. Overall show and music was great. But the buffet food was not. Luau pork was dry and chicken was hard to chew. Also desert was not at that quality for the price.

I visited over ten years ago, but this time my friend wanted to go, so I accompanied them. Previously, it was a one-day tour, so we could experience various activities, but this time we chose a course that only included a meal and a show, which meant there were some things we couldn't do and places we couldn't enter, making it a bit disappointing. 以前は1日ツアーだったので，色々と体験ま，出来たのですが、今回は食事とショーのみのコースを選んだので、出来ない事、入れ無い所も有り少し残念でしたが、食事は数々の種類からビュッフェ形式で選べるので，どれを食べるか？迷う程でした。
ショーは、以前とは比べ物に成らない程、音響，映像等も素晴らしく、出演者の方々の一生懸命なダンスに本当に来て良かった。と心から思いました。
料金的に少し高いと参加しなかった友人達にも是非次回は行って欲しいと思いました。
