It was my first visit to Sea Life Park in four years. The last time I came, it was evening, so there were few guests and it felt quiet, but this time it was bustling with many visitors. It was my second Dolphin Encounter, and once again, the dolphins were so cute that I wanted to come back multiple times. There was a family with children in the same group, but it seemed that for the kids, seeing the dolphins up close was scary, and they were crying. After the wedding, we were busy moving into our new home, and due to my lack of confirmation, I ended up entering our preferred dates for the tour up to the third choice on the iPhone site. After a while, I received a confirmation email, and I mistakenly thought the first choice date was confirmed, not checking the date. 渡ハ前から楽しみにしていたツアー。結婚式が終わり新居に引越しドタバタしながらの申し込みだった為、自分の確認不足が原因ですが、iPhoneサイトからツアーに申し込み希望日を第3希望まで入力し、しばらくしてからリメールで確約の内容が返信されました。その際にてっきり第1希望の日で決定していたと思い込み日時を見なかったのが始まり。いざ当日(間違いの日)バスを待っても待っても来ない。心配になりTelをしてみるも英語の為全く会話にならず。放心状態でHISの日本語デスクにヘルプを求め代わりに電話をしてもらいました。結果は、本当の日時は昨日。朝ピックアップの際にホテルにルームコールしてもらったけど出ず(時差ボケで２人とも爆睡)キャンセル扱いになっている。返金も出来ない、日時変更も出来ない。という結果に終わりました。自分のミスとは言え、せめて日時変更だけでもー！！後日2人分の約6万円が見事にカード請求としてあらわれましたとさ。
いつかはリベンジするぞー！

I joined because I heard I could meet wild dolphins! On the day of the event, while waiting at the designated spot, a bus with a dolphin illustration arrived, and I thought, "This is it!" When we arrived at the port, we checked the size of our fins and changed into wetsuits. It costs $10, so I didn't want to force anyone, but they said the seawater is colder than you think, and it would be sad if we couldn't enjoy it because of the cold... So I borrowed one, and I was glad I did! Before getting wet, it was almost too warm, but once we were in the water and during the boat ride, the strong wind would have made it really cold without the wetsuit.

Finally, we set off! I was worried about not seeing any dolphins since they are wild, but we spotted them sooner than expected! It took about 20 minutes, I think. Diving into the sea while recalling what I learned on the bus, I initially felt anxious about snorkeling, but once I put my face in the water, my worries disappeared!

A pod of dolphins was swimming right below me, and they were everywhere, so I was desperately trying to follow them! Even when I thought they had swum away, they would come back from behind, and I was so moved to see so many of them...!

We moved to another spot where there were turtles and tropical fish. I was surprised to see a super huge turtle swimming right nearby!! Behind it were a medium-sized turtle and a tiny turtle! そのお姉さんはバスの中でもハワイのことからイルカのこと、イルカ会うための注意事項などなど、元気いっぱいにたっくさん話してくれました！イルカについて話を聞いているとお姉さんのイルカ愛が伝わってきて、このお姉さんが担当で良かったなと思いました(*^^*)
港についてフィンのサイズを確認し、ウェットスーツに着替えました。＄10かかるので強制はしたくないんですが、海水は思ってる以上に冷たいから、着た方がいいよ、寒さのせいで楽しめなかったら悲しいから…と言われ、確かにそうだなと思い借りました。結果借りてよかったです！濡れる前は逆に暑いくらいでしたが、濡れてからは海の中ではもちろん、ボートで移動中すごい風を浴びるので着てなければ寒かったと思います。
いよいよ出発！野生のイルカなので会えなかったらどうしよう……と不安もありましたが、予想以上に早くイルカを発見！20分かかったかな？
バスの中で教えてもらったことを思い出しながら海にダイブ！最初はシュノーケルうまくできるかな？と不安でしたが、海に顔をつけたら不安なくなりました！
真下をイルカの群れが泳いでて、あちこちにいるので追うのに必死でした！でも行っちゃった～と思ってもまた後ろから泳いできてくれたり、たくさん見れて感動……！
場所移動して今度はカメや熱帯魚がいるスポットへ。
超～～でっかいカメがすぐそこを泳いでてびっくり！！その後ろに中くらいのカメとちっちゃいカメもいました！
イルカが先生でカメは教授って教わってたので、友人と大教授だー！と盛り上がりました(笑)
小さい子が触れそうなくらい海面まで上がってきてホントに間近で見れました！むしろ触らないようにするのが大変なくらい(笑)
カメも見たしもう終わりかな～と思いながらボートに戻ると、船長さんが「もう一回、イルカ！」と声をかけてくれてまたイルカのいるところへ連れていってくれました！
時間が許す限り楽しませようという気持ちが伝わってきて、このツアーに申し込んでホントに良かったなと思いました！(*^^*)
最後のイルカはもうホントにたくさんいて、海に入る前からボートの周りをたくさんジャンプして姿を見せてくれました！海に入っても、真下泳いでたと思ったら前にもいるし、真下でぐるぐる回って長い間イルカたちがそばにいてくれて、本当に感動しました！友人はすぐ真横にイルカが上がってきて息継ぎ？するところも見れたそうです！
バスでお姉さんが「イルカは超音波で会話するから、私たちの気持ちも分かってくれるし奇跡みたいなことも本当に起こるから！たくさん話しかけて楽しんで♪」って言ってたのを思い出しました(*^^*)
ボートに戻ると暖かいお茶と軽食をいただきました。チーズとグラノーラとスパムおにぎりも！たくさん泳いだ後のスパムおにぎりとっても美味しかった！デザートにパイナップルもいただきましたが、これが甘くてこれまた美味しかったです！
とっても充実した時間を過ごせました(*^^*)
バスに戻って写真の購入の案内がありました。
データで購入する場合はURLがメールで送られてきて１ヶ月以内にダウンロードする感じでした。USBだと事務所？まで取りに行かないといけないのでデータが便利だと思います！自分では撮れないような写真がたくさんだったので、これも購入してよかったです♪
ひとつだけ残念だったことは、行きのバスの中で話してくれたお姉さんが、何かあったのか出発するときに違う方に代わったことです。もちろん他の方もとても良い方でしたが、最後にお礼を言えなかったことと一緒に写真が撮れなかったことが心残りでした。
お名前ジュリさんって方だったと思います。とても元気でイルカ愛に溢れてて、イルカの豆知識やどうしたらイルカが怖がらないかなどたくさん教えてくれました。フィンはゆっくり大きく水面は蹴らないようになどなど、本当にためになりました！

There were about 20 participants, ranging from energetic seniors, mainly young couples, to small children. During the ride to the West Coast, where we could see dolphins, we had a fun lesson about dolphins, learning about their ecology and safety tips in the water.

Upon arrival at the spot, those who wanted to could rent a wetsuit for $10. Almost everyone, both men and women, rented one that day. Given the temperature and water temperature in mid-September, I don't think it would feel particularly cold without one, but wearing it can provide peace of mind for those who are unsure about swimming since it helps you float in the water.

朝６時過ぎ、低血圧でとにかく朝が苦手なのでボーっとしながら迎えのバスに乗り込みワイキキを出発。参加者は20名程度でしたが、若いご夫婦を中心に元気いっぱいのシニアの方々から小さなお子さんまで様々でした。
イルカが見られるウエストコーストへ向かう車内ではイルカに関する授業が行われ、イルカの生態や海の中での注意事項まで楽しく学べます。

ポイントへ到着すると、希望者は10＄でウエットスーツを借りられます。この日は男女共ほぼ全員が借りていました。９月中旬のこの日の気温・水温では、なくても特別寒さは感じないと思いますが、着ると水中で体が勝手に浮くので泳ぎが不安な方は着ておくと安心でしょう。

エンジン付きのゴムボートに乗り込むと、ガイドさんによりボートの上で体重が均等になるよう座る位置を振り分けられます。その後、フィンやマスクを装着してサイズを確認し、準備が整ったらいざ出発！！

そして走ることわずか15分ほどでイルカの群れがいるすぐそばまで到着！（この日はかなりラッキーだったようで、1時間ぐらい出会えない日もあるとのこと）
まずイルカと対面する前に一度全員で海に入り、泳ぎの練習を行います。
そこから再度ボートで群れに近づき、水面をじっと見守ります。
黒い背びれが見えたらついに念願のイルカ発見！！
イルカと同じ目線で泳げることを期待していましたが、ライフジャケットとウエットスーツで身体が浮いてしまうので、実際は群れになって泳ぐイルカたちを上から見下ろすような格好になります。それでも、小さな赤ちゃんイルカが目の前でくるんとジャンプする瞬間が見れ、その可愛さにキュンとしました☆

そこから今度はウミガメやきれいな魚たちが見られるポイントへ移動。
ライフジャケットを脱いで水の中へ潜ると、黄色や淡いブルーなど色とりどりの魚たちが自分の周りをグルグルと行き交ってる様子がまるで宝石箱のようで最高に贅沢な気分でした☆☆
肝心のウミガメはボートの上からしか見られませんでしたが、初めて見る海の中の世界は素晴らしいものでした。

最後に写真についてですが、同行するカメラマンが取ってくれたものを50＄で購入することが出来ます。参加メンバーや水中の様子はもちろん、イルカやウミガメのかわいい姿が見られる
過去のベストショット集までついているので、値は張りますが自分で撮るより確実にいい写真が
手に入ります。

明るいスタッフの方々がきめ細かくサポートしてくださり、大人から子供まで幅広く楽しめるツアーですので、ぜひおすすめします。

Guide Takao, photographer Maeda, and Captain Mr. Don were all very friendly, making for a fun experience. During the car rides and while on the boat, they taught us various things about dolphins and the local area, which was easy to understand. They even prepared warm tea, fruits, and rice balls, which was truly attentive service. The wetsuits are available for rent for a fee, but I recommend borrowing one.

The dolphins are so cute! We watched the show (in English), fed them (additional cost), and explored the not-so-large zoo-like area. We checked in ourselves, used the lockers, changed, and gathered. This locker system can be confusing for those who don't understand English. First, you need to buy a special coin for the locker at the counter (the check-in counter is separate from the one for purchasing items) for $3. You use that coin for the locker. For Japanese people, it can be unclear whether the coin is for the locker or change, and I saw someone struggling to figure out how to close the locker, thinking it was change. Although it said "deposit," it is not a deposit, and the money is not refundable. We couldn't fit all our bags into one locker, so we used two. A Japanese guide kindly explained in detail what to do for the activities, and we put on life jackets and received explanations in English. I wear contacts, and when I asked if I should wear goggles, I was told that my head wouldn't go underwater, so it was fine to keep my contacts in, but I was advised not to wear goggles. I learned the names and origins of the dolphins, and one dolphin had appeared in a movie with Johnny Depp 15 years ago, but all that information was in English. I could only understand about two-thirds of it, and although I heard the movie's name, it was one I didn't know. I couldn't find out about it after returning to Japan either.

イルカかわいい~！！ショー見て（英語）、餌やりをして（費用別）、あまり広くはない動物園のような園内を見て、自分でチェックインして、ロッカーを使用し、着替えて集合。このロッカーも英語がわからない人にはわかりずらいけど、まずはカウンター（チェックインカウンターと物を購入するカウンターは別）でロッカーの専用コインを3ドルで購入。そのコインでロッカーを使用します。日本人にはロッカー用コインなのかお釣りなのか分かりにくく、お釣りだと思ってロッカーをどう閉めるのか悩んでた人がいました。このロッカー、確かデポジットと書いてあったのにデポジットではなく、お金は戻らないロッカーです。うちは3人分の荷物が入りきらず、ロッカーを２つ使用しました。あとは日本人のガイドさんが丁寧に何をどうすればいいのかアクティビティについて詳しく説明してくれて、胴衣を着て今度は英語で説明を受ける。コンタクトしてるけど、ゴーグルした方がいいのかと聞いたら、頭は水につけないので、コンタクトでもかまわないけど、ゴーグルはしないように言われました。イルカの名前や由来、1頭のイルカはジョニーデップと一緒に１５年前に映画にでたという話でしたが、その辺の話は全部英語。私も２／３くらいしか理解できず、映画の名前も聞いたけど、知らない映画でした。日本に帰ってから調べてもわからなかったです。イルカと一緒に泳ぐ！というよりは、５つの項目：キス横顔、キス真正面、イルカを下から抱っこポーズ、2頭の背びれにつかまって泳ぐ、2頭に足を押されて泳ぐ、というのを順番に写真やビデオにポーズをとりながらこなして行く感じでした。最初はみんなで合図をだしてトレーナー気分になったり、餌をやったり。身体をいい子いい子したり。すごいジャンプや芸も間近で見られてよかったです。ただ、あまりにも金額が高すぎるので星４つです。イルカと触れ合えるのは嬉しいけれど、一人25000円は高すぎでしょう。この値段なら、イルカのことなどの説明も全部日本語でしてほしいです。せっかく日本人のガイドさん（しかもとても親切）がいるのだから。最低限のことだけ通じればいい、というのはイルカには優しいけど、お客様には優しくありません。日本人はただの金づるだと思われてるな、と感じます。更に写真やＣＤが高くてびっくり。5枚セットで5000円くらい×３なんて冗談じゃない。でもＣＤが流されていて、見るとやはりほしい。結局、ＣＤと写真2枚ずつ買いました。カメラの人は英語の説明をしていてまあまあ感じいいのですが、ビデオを撮影した男は日本人をばかにしていてまったく愛想がない。超感じ悪かったです。更衣室はあるけど、シャワーがほしかったです。行きのバスの中で途中から急にガイドさんが立ちあがってハワイ初めての人は写真スポットが沢山あるからカメラを用意して、と言って色々説明してくれました。わたしは窓ごしの写真はあまり好きではないので撮りませんでしたし、子ども達は寝ていました。私も英語で早口なので２／３分かったかどうか…。でも帰りに子ども達にかいつまんで話せたので、ある程度は理解できていたと思います。他のツアーではこんなことなかったのでびっくりしましたが、そういえば、バスが観光バスだなと思いました。観光バスなので普通にガイドさんが説明するのだと。英語が分かる人にはとってもいいと思います。分からない人は日本語で話してほしいと思いますが。ちなみにハワイにはビニール袋を扱っているところはほとんどないそうです。たまにスーパーなどで使っているけど、今ハワイはエコのために、ビニール袋を使用しないように決められているのだそうです。写真が濡れるからビニール袋をもらおうとしたらそう説明されました。予め自分でビニール袋を用意して行くことをお勧めします。

あと、このサイトの「含まれるもの」にチップと書いてなくてもチップが含まれているオプションも沢山ありました。いちいち１５％~２０％？と最初はまじめに考えて計算していきましたが、現地で各ツアーに電話で確認しました。ほとんどいらなかったです。まず、チップが必要なものでも２０％は払いすぎ。アメリカ人は１５％が普通だそうで、それも面白かったら払うだけで、必ず払わなければいえけないわけではありません。なんか日本人は英語が話せない人も多く、チップを多め多めに払うようで、すごくあきれられています。全く当たり前のように払わないのも問題ですが、あくまでも定額以上の仕事をしてくれたら、です。

We participated in the Dolphin Encounter as a family since my daughter is three years old. She was initially scared of seeing the dolphins up close, and since we had a photo session before she got used to it, all the pictures turned out to show her looking nervous. Taking my three-year-old daughter to Hawaii. I've been to Hawaii many times, but this was my first time with a child, so I was unsure where to take her and chose this option.

In the end, it was the right choice. We drove along the coast from Waikiki in a rental car, enjoying the beautiful scenery, and headed to Sea Life Park. After having fun at Sea Life Park, we went to Kailua for some shopping.

It was a day that both my child and wife enjoyed.

Just one thing, the hot dog at Sea Life Park wasn't that great, haha.

I came to Hawaii for my wife's birthday and participated in this tour.

I felt very relieved because the staff were Japanese. Additionally, there were about ten participants, all travelers from Japan, so we felt very comfortable since we are not good at English.

On the way to our destination, a Japanese female staff member carefully explained the tour's precautions and the attractions of dolphins and sea turtles. She talked non-stop, almost like a bullet (laughs). It takes about an hour to get there, but since she kept talking the whole time, even though it was early in the morning, we didn't have a chance to sleep.

I heard that dolphins can only be found on the west coast of Hawaii. So, they mentioned that you can't see them unless you go to a beach a bit away from Waikiki.

As we were swaying on the bus and listening to her talk, we quickly arrived at the west coast. It felt more like a port than a sandy beach, so at that point, I thought it didn't look that different from other seas.

After using the restroom, we boarded the boat and set sail with several cheerful foreign staff members!!

From there, we headed further north along the west coast. The wind felt nice, and the waves were calm, so I was relieved that I didn't get seasick.

After about 30 minutes on the boat, we finally received information that dolphins were swimming nearby. If you're lucky, you might encounter dolphins in just five minutes, but if you're unlucky, you could drift at sea for about an hour and a half, so I thought we were fortunate this time.

Suddenly, the atmosphere on the boat became hectic, and we jumped into the sea right away.

While we were swimming together, the dolphins quickly swam by us. It seemed that there was a pod of about 50 dolphins swimming a bit apart, and we were able to swim with them multiple times, which was very lucky.

Moreover, the dolphins were in a great mood and were making a lot of sounds. When I put my face in the water, I could hear their calls.

砂浜ではなく、港みたいな感じなので、この時点では他の海とそんなに変わらないかと思ってました。

トイレを済ませて船へ乗り込み、陽気な外国人スタッフ達数名と海へ出航します！！

そこから西海岸をさらに北上します。
風が気持ちよく、波も穏やかだったので心配していた船酔いは大丈夫でした。

約30分ほど船を走らせると、ようやくイルカが近くを泳いでいるとの情報がありました。
運が良ければ5分でいるかと遭遇なんてこともあるそうですが、運が悪ければ1時間半くらい海を漂うこともあるそうなので、今回はまだマシだったと思います。

そこからは本当に船の上が急に慌ただしくなり、すぐさま海に飛び込みました。

みんなで泳いでいたら、イルカたちはすぐに私たちのそばを泳いでいきました。
今回は約50頭ほどの群れが少し分かれて泳いでいたようで、何度もイルカと泳ぐことが出来たのでとても運が良かったといってました。

しかも、イルカたちはとても機嫌が良かったのがめっちゃ鳴いていました。
海に顔を付けると、鳴き声が聞こえてきます。

興奮冷めやらぬ中、ボートに戻り次のシュノーケルポイントへ向かいます。

次は、ウミガメときれいな魚がたくさん泳いでいました。

初めは分からなかったのですが、こっちの海はワイキキよりもさらに透明度が高いです。
ボートの上からでも10メートル以上はありそうな海の底まできれいに見えました。

本当に綺麗な海です。
最高でした！！

本当に楽しかったです。

帰りのバスはみんなほぼ爆睡(笑)

めっちゃ泳ぐので疲れるかもしれませんが、とても満足でした。

I was initially not planning to join the dolphin tour that my family asked me to find. However, as I read more about the details of the tour and experiences from others, I became irresistibly drawn to the idea of meeting these wild dolphins, and eventually, I ended up signing up for it myself.

The waters of the West Coast are incredibly clear, and the dolphins swimming, the ocean floor, and even the sunlight filtering through all had an unbelievable sparkle, existing naturally in their own right. I've seen many beautiful things, but it's captivating to witness the raw beauty of the Earth as it is, rather than something prepared for us.

I enjoy participating in various activities, but I usually feel satisfied after doing something once, and it's rare for me to want to see something again. So, I was surprised by how much this experience moved me.

In June, my husband and I participated in this event. The weather that day was clear, and the wind was calm, making for perfect conditions.

We were staying at Embassy Suites and gathered at the Sheraton parking lot at 6:05 AM. Since it was quite early, I recommend securing breakfast the day before and having it in your room. On this day, participants from Dolphin University and Dolphin Middle School shared a large bus. During the ride, there were discussions about dolphin ecology and snorkeling instructions. I recommend staying awake to listen, as there were many interesting and important topics. For a brief moment, we even saw the tree used in the "This Tree, What Tree" commercial from the bus.

After about an hour, we arrived at the port, where those interested could rent wetsuits for $10. Most participants rented them that day. The boat we took from Dolphin Middle School was an open speedboat, and it was quite windy on board, so renting was definitely the right choice. After using the restroom, we finally boarded the boat. We took off our shoes and sat on the edge of the boat. Our belongings were secured in the middle of the boat, tied with ropes to keep them afloat. Since there was no cover, I think it's better to have a bag that closes securely.

That day, we were lucky enough to encounter a pod of dolphins less than ten minutes after departure. At the captain's signal, everyone jumped into the sea together. Since we were wearing life jackets, there was no fear of drowning. I was truly moved by the sight of dolphins gracefully swimming directly below us. After getting back on the boat, we moved to a spot where we could swim with sea turtles. My husband usually gets very seasick, but thankfully, he didn't feel ill this time, possibly due to the medication. The water was very clear, and there were many sea turtles, allowing us to swim close to them multiple times. We also saw many beautiful tropical fish, making it the most stunning snorkeling experience I've had.

After returning to land, there was an explanation about purchasing photos. A dedicated photographer accompanied us throughout the tour and took over 500 pictures that day. Downloading the photos costs $50, but they were truly professional and captured beautiful images, including underwater shots, so I was glad I purchased them. For those who may not have internet access, it seems you can also buy a USB for $55.

Among the tour participants were a grandmother in her 70s and elementary school students, both of whom seemed quite anxious at first but ended up having a great time. エンバシースイーツに泊まっていた私たちは、6時5分にシェラトンの駐車場に集合です。かなり朝早いので、朝食は前日のうちに確保し部屋で済ませてから来たほうが良いと思います。この日は、大型のバスにイルカ大学とイルカ中学の参加者が混乗する形でした。バスの中では、イルカの生態のお話や、シュノーケリングのインストラクションなどがありました。かなり面白い話や大事な話が聞けるので眠らず頑張って起きていることをお勧めします。一瞬ですが車中から、「この木なんの木」のＣＭに使われている木も見れました。

約1時間で港へ到着し、希望者は10ドルでウエットスーツを借りることができます。この日はほとんどの参加者が借りていました。イルカ中学で乗るボートは屋根のないスピードボートで、船上はかなり風を強く感じるので、借りて正解でした。トイレを済まし、いよいよ船に乗り込みます。靴は脱いで、ボートの淵へ腰かけます。荷物は船の真ん中にあるバーに、ロープにくくりつけて宙に浮かせた状態にします。特にカバーなどはしないため、ふたがしまる袋のほうが良いと思います。

この日は運よく出港から10分弱で、イルカの群れに遭遇できました。キャプテンの合図でみんなで一斉に海へ飛び込みます。救命胴衣を着けているので溺れる不安はありません。海の中で真下を優雅に泳ぐイルカの姿に本当に感動しました。再びボートへ乗り込み、次はウミガメと泳げるスポットへ移動します。この時点で数名船酔いしている方がいて、乗り物に弱い人は事前に酔い止め必須だと思いました。夫も普段は非常に乗り物に弱いタイプなのですが、薬が効いたのか酔わずにほっとしました。こちらも海の透明度が高くウミガメが多くいて、何度も間近に泳ぐことができました。きれいな熱帯魚もたくさん見れて、いままでシュノーケルした海の中で一番きれいでした。

During the bus ride, we received explanations, and as soon as we arrived at the port, we headed out to sea. According to the guide, if we depart late, we might have to wait if other tours are ahead, which reduces our chances to try again and meet dolphins. In that regard, Dolphin Academy has an advantage because of its smaller group size, allowing for quicker departures compared to the university. On the other hand, families can relax more, so the university is recommended for them.

The weather was clear, and although it was May, we didn't wear wetsuits and it wasn't particularly cold. Not everyone borrowed one this time, but it seemed to be fine. However, it can get chilly when the wind hits you after getting wet, so I recommend having a bag ready with a bath towel and a jacket.

Due to rain the previous night, the water clarity was a bit low, but we were able to see dolphins. About 5-6 dolphins swam about 10 meters away from us. 天気は快晴だったので５月でしたがウェットスーツは着用しませんでしたが特に寒いこともありませんでした。今回は参加者全員借りていませんでしたが特に問題なかったようです。
ただ、濡れた後に風が当たると寒いので、バスタオルと上着はすぐに出せるかばんを用意することをお勧めします。
昨晩雨が降ったせいで透明度は少し低かったですが、無事イルカを見ることができました。大体5-6匹で10m先を泳いでいました。ただしカメラはもっていきましたが、きれいに映すのはかなりむずかしいです。そこについてはプロのカメラマンがついてくれるので、写真自体は50＄ほどでもらうことが可能です。
イルカを見れた興奮のあまり、気づかない間に結婚指輪を落としてしまいカメラマンさんが拾ってくれなかったら大変なことになっていたので、指輪等はあらかじめ外しておくことをお勧めします。

イルカの後は少し浅瀬に移動してカメやさかなをみられました。こちらは泳ぎに自信がある人はライフジャケットを外してもよいとのことでした。
カメは息を吸うときしか水面に上がってきませんが、この日は運よく何回も間近でカメを見ることができました。

一息ついたところでスープとスニッカーズ的な奴とパイナップルを配ってくれます。特にパイナップルは甘くておいしいのでおすすめ。

シュノーケリングと言っても、潜水などは必要なく基本的に浮いているだけなので未経験者も心配ないです。
注意点としては、更衣室等はないので濡れてもいい上着とパンツを持ってきておくことをおすすめします。

総評としてはイルカもカメも見れて、午前中で終わるので午後は買い物など違うことができるし、日本ガイドなので英語ができなくても安心で非常に良かったです。

Since we were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the pickup location was in front of the Ilikai Hotel next to the Hilton. It's easy to find as it's also a trolley stop.

A little earlier than the scheduled time, a small yellow bus, resembling a school bus, arrived. We boarded this bus and headed to the west coast, taking about an hour from Honolulu.

To quickly get out to sea from the harbor, the staff member on the bus provided us with important information and instructions. Although it was early in the morning, there was no time to sleep on the bus.

Regarding equipment, since the water is cold and those who are not good swimmers might find it easier to float in a wetsuit, we rented one for $10. Most of the tour participants rented wetsuits as well.

The dolphins we can see in this area are the Hawaiian spinner dolphins. They are named for their spinning jumps. They are about 1.8 meters long, smaller than the bottlenose dolphins often seen in aquariums, and they have a black coloration from their heads to their backs.

この地域で見られるイルカはハワイアンスピナードルフィンという種。ジャンプするときにスピンすることからこの名前がついているそうです。
サイズは水族館でよくみるバンドウイルカより小さい1.8m程で頭から背中にかけて黒くなっています。

イルカを探しながら進むこと10～20分くらいたったでしょうか、30頭ぐらいのグループを発見！

群れの泳ぐ方向へ先回りして船でスタンバイ。イルカの背鰭が見えてきたら合図と共にみんなで一斉に海へ飛び込みます。

私はシュノーケリングをこんなに沖でやるのは初めて。しかも、泳ぎも不得意。

飛び込む前までは凄く怖かったのですが。。。

全く問題ありませんでした！！

お姉さんの話をよく聞いて落ち着いてその通りに動けば何も心配はいりません。
使ったシュノーケリングの器具もよかったのか、目や口に水が入ってくることもありませんでした。

「真下を見てー！」というお姉さんの声で下を覗きこむと何匹ものイルカの群れが泳いでいるのが見れました！！

この日は4回トライし、4回ともイルカを見ることができました。しかも、水の濁りも少ないポイントで待ち伏せてくれた船長の腕は確かなものです。さすがレジェンド。

4回目にいたっては手が届きそうなほど間近で見ることができました。
シュノーケリング中は気づかなかったのですが、後で防水カメラのムービーを見返したら、なんとイルカの鳴き声まで収録されていてビックリ。
野生のイルカの生活を覗かせてもらうことができた本当に貴重な経験でした。

ちなみに、この日は風が強かったため海が濁っているということで浅瀬でのシュノーケリングは無しでした。
浅瀬でのシュノーケリングをメインで考えられている方は、日によっては無くなるケースがあることも想定しておいた方がいいかもしれません。

最後に船にもどりフルーツと温かい紅茶をいただいて、残りの軽食（菓子パン・ジュース・チーズ・グラノーラバー）はバスに戻ってからいただきました。
帰りのバスでプロの写真の方が撮影した写真データの販売案内があります。写真を購入したのですが、レクチャー中の風景や当日に見たイルカの写真までとってもきれいに獲れていました。

あと、個人的にはハワイアンスピナードルフィンの生態や生息数、ハワイアンとイルカの関わりなどについてもっと詳しい話が聞ければもっと嬉しかったです。

初めてだけどイルカと一緒に泳ぎたいという方には本当にとてもいいアクティビティーだと思います。貴重な経験をありがとうございました。

As we approached the ocean, we were asked about renting wetsuits. The rental fee was $10, and all the women borrowed one. I had a desire to get a tan, so I didn't rent a wetsuit, but surprisingly, the sea breeze on the boat was strong, and the seawater wasn't that warm offshore, so I thought it might have been better to rent one.

Once we arrived at the port and changed into our swimsuits, we set off! We departed with about 25 participants and a crew of four, including the captain. 海に近づくと、ウェットスーツの貸し出しを聞かれます。貸出料は10ドルでしたが、女性の方々は全員借りていました。私は日焼けをしたいという願望もあり、ウェットスーツは借りませんでしたが、案外と船上では海風が強く、海水も沖合ではそこまで温かくないので、借りても良かったかな〜と思いました。
港に着き、水着になったらいざ出発！25名ほどの参加者と、キャプテンをはじめとするクルー4名と共に出航です。
ハワイの野性味あふれる山々をバックに風を感じながらのクルージング。すごく気持ちよく、至福の一言。これだけでも、爽快です。
様々なコースがあるようですが、まずは北上し、イルカを全員で探します。15分ほど探しましたが、見つからない為、南下してみることに。他のツアー船からの情報も参考に、探すこと40分ほど、、、ついにイルカの大群とご対面！
慌ただしくなる船上！私も急いでライフジャケットとシュノーケルをセット。キャプテンのGO!という合図に参加者全員が海へダイブ。その瞬間、30頭位のイルカの群れが私たちに近づき、真下を通過していきました。
思わず、うぉ〜！と水中で叫んでしまいました。
その後は旋回するイルカの進路を予想しながら、先回りを試み、ハードに泳ぎます。普段運動している私でもかなりハードでしたが、先回りしないとイルカには会えないので、皆さん一心不乱に泳いでいました。
幸いにも、何度かイルカの大群と泳ぐことができ、心身ともに大満足で船に戻りました。
野生のイルカと海の中で出会った感動はなかなか味わうことが出来ないので、ツアーに参加出来て本当に良かったです。
港に戻り、着替えて帰路に着いたのですが、帰りの車内は、疲労困憊のせいもあり皆さん爆睡でした。（笑）
車内は少し冷えるので、暖かい格好でおかえりください。
クルージング気分あり、イルカとのご対面あり、楽しいスタッフの皆さんあり、大満足のハワイ最終日となりました。スタッフの皆さんありがとうございました！

is one of the highlights for our family vacation. It was an awesome experience. Our Captain Austin, and his crew, John are the best. Both Austin and John made this adventure even more wonderful. This is highly recommend, we will definitely do it again when we come back.

On the fourth day in Hawaii, we gathered at 6:25 AM.

Following reviews, it was a great decision to have breakfast beforehand. The weather was wonderful, and the breeze was pleasant, allowing us to participate without getting seasick.

On the bus ride there, there was so much explanation until we arrived that I couldn't sleep! (laughs) I participated in May, and it was a bit chilly, so I rented a wetsuit. The sea was quite cold, and even with the wetsuit, I felt cold.

About 20 minutes after departure, we spotted wild dolphins near Aulani! There were nearly 50 in the pod. When we signaled to dive, I could hear their squeaks underwater. From that point on, it was a dolphin parade! Every time I heard a squeak, I looked around, and there was a dolphin right below me! It was so moving! I even saw a baby dolphin, and I could clearly see the color of their skin!

After that, we headed to a turtle spot, but unfortunately, we didn't see any... Instead, we encountered dolphins again. (laughs)

I made one basic mistake… (T_T) Before diving into the sea, the battery of my waterproof camera died… What a shock!!

出発して２０分程、アウラニ方面で野生のイルカ達を発見！５０頭近い群れだそ
う。合図で潜ると、海の中でキューキュー鳴く声が聞こえました。
そこからはもう、イルカのオンパレードでした。キューキュー聞こえる度にキョロ
キョロしていると、イルカが真下に！とても感動です！
イルカの赤ちゃんも見れ、イルカの肌の色までクッキリ見えましたよ♪

その後はウミガメ スポットへ向かいましたが、残念ながら会えず・・・
代わりにまたまたイルカに会えました。笑

1つ、初歩的なミスを…(T_T)海に潜る前に、防水デジカメの充電が切れました…ショック！！

ハワイでは既にイルカと泳ぐ行為が禁止の島もあるようで、オアフ島も時間の問題
だそうです。
とても貴重な体験が出来るので、とてもオススメです！
そして、またハワイに行った際はもう１度中学を卒業しに行きます♪

I was worried about waking up early for our second day in Hawaii, but we made it onto the bus without any issues! Since it can be quite physically demanding, I recommend having at least a little breakfast before heading out.

We started snorkeling when we spotted a group of dolphins, but they disappeared quickly, so we returned to the boat and moved to another location. We repeated snorkeling a total of three times where the dolphins were. The kids, who had only interacted with dolphins at places like Sea Life Park, were extremely excited to see them swimming so close by.

After the dolphins, we snorkeled at a spot with honu (sea turtles) and fish. The honu came so close that the kids were thrilled once again. We brought a waterproof camera, so even now, the kids look at the photos of the dolphins and honu and reminisce about the experience. They still cherish the stuffed animals we received.

Swimming against the waves can be tiring, but it was a pleasant fatigue. Watching the sunrise from the ocean and having such wonderful experiences made it all worthwhile.

If I have the chance again, I would love to enroll in college.

ハワイ２日目の朝早くの出発で起きられるのか心配でしたが、無事にバスに乗車！
かなり体力を消耗するので、少しでも朝食を取っていった方が良いと思います。

イルカのグループがいたのでシュノーケリング開始しましたが、あっという間にいなくなりボートへ戻り移動。またイルカがいるところでシュノーケリングを合計３回繰り返しました。すぐ近くをイルカたちが泳ぎ、シーライフパーク等でイルカに触れ合った位しかしたことがない子供たちは大興奮でした。
イルカの後はホヌや魚がいるスポットでシュノーケリング。こちらでもホヌが触れるくらい近くまで来て、またも子供たちは大興奮でした。防水カメラを持参していったので、今でも子供たちはイルカやホヌの写真を見ては思い出に浸っています。いただいたぬいぐるみは今でも大切にしています。

波に逆らって泳いだりして疲れますがそれは心地よい疲労感で、海から朝日を見たり素敵な体験をしたので参加してよかったと思います。

また機会があったら大学へ入学したいと思います。
