First, the good point was the all-you-can-eat crab, which was incredibly delicious. However, there were some frustrating moments. It started with the drinks taking a long time to arrive, and we ended up waiting all the way until dessert. The coffee never came, and neither did the dessert. After waiting impatiently, we finally asked the staff, and they brought it to us. If we hadn't said anything, I’m sure it would have been forgotten. While other tables were being cleared, it felt like we, the four of us, had been overlooked, which was quite disappointing since we were looking forward to it. Also, I didn't know how to catch the bus on the way back. Lastly, I want to mention something that moved me: it was wonderful to see people from various countries enjoying singing and dancing together.

I went on a cruise with my mother. We enjoyed the shows and meals, but before we set sail, one of the staff carrying about five drinks, including red wine, lost their balance and spilled it all over my clothes. My white dress (muumuu) that I bought for the trip got stained red, but I didn't want to make a big deal out of it before we departed, so I just checked if I could borrow something to change into. They kindly lent me some clothes to wear while my dress was drying and covered a bit of the cleaning cost. After that, they were considerate and engaged with us, which made the experience enjoyable.

Also, it was a Sunday, and there were supposed to be fireworks (weather permitting), but the wind was strong, and the situation was uncertain. In the end, the fireworks we were looking forward to didn't happen... It seemed like they extended the show a bit instead, but I was a little disappointed since I had high expectations. I think it would have been nice if they had announced that they would do a show instead if the fireworks were canceled (especially since the ticket price was higher due to the fireworks...).

Overall, I am satisfied, but since there were various issues, I apologize for lowering my rating. The cruise itself was enjoyable, and I didn't get seasick (though I did see a few people feeling unwell).

ショーや食事は楽しんだのですが、出航前に赤ワインなど5つくらいドリンクを運んでいた方がバランスを崩し、ド派手に服にかかってしまいました。旅行のために買った白いワンピース(ムームー)が赤く染まってしまいましたが、出航前に大ごとにはしたくなかったので、着替える服がないかだけ確認しました。少しのクリーニング代と服を乾かす間に着る服を貸して頂きました。その後は気を遣って話かけて頂いたり、盛り上げて頂き楽しめました。
また、その日は日曜日で花火が上がる(天気が問題なければ)日でしたが、風が強く、どうなるか分からない状況でした。結局期待していた花火は上がりませんでした…その分ショーを長めにして頂いたようでしたが、ちょっと期待しただけに残念だったのと、ないのなら代わりにショーをしますとアナウンスしてもらえると良かったかなと思いました。(花火料金分高くなっていたのもありますし…)
一応満足はしていますが、色々あったので、評価下げてしまいすみません。
クルージング自体は船酔いもせず(ちょっと気分を悪くされている方はお見かけしましたが)楽しめました。

On the last night of our stay in Hawaii, we went on a sunset dinner cruise. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn't see the sunset we were hoping for, but it was nice to see our hotel at Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from the sea. I didn't have high expectations for the food, but both the lobster and steak were very delicious! The non-alcoholic cocktails were colorful and the kids loved them. After boarding, my child fell asleep, but the staff kindly let us use an empty sofa seat so we could lie down and rest, which we really appreciated. I participated with Pacific Star.

I wasn't confident about getting there on my own, so I requested a shuttle service. When I arrived a little earlier than the meeting time, there were already groups gathering. I was given a sticker and instructed to place it on my chest, which seemed to indicate the course I would be participating in.

While on the bus to the venue, an orientation video was playing, and it was easy to understand as it was in three languages, including Japanese. Upon arrival, there were staff members at various points leading to the boarding area, greeting us with smiles, which was very pleasant.

Now, regarding the seating, my seat on the Pacific Star was right in front of the kitchen on the lowest level (laughs). The windows were not well cleaned, and there was constant traffic of people coming in and out of the kitchen, making it difficult to enjoy the view or atmosphere. For the buffet, we had to stand in line outside the windows where the higher-ranked guests were seated, waiting our turn while being watched by those inside. Honestly, I regretted this part (laughs) — this is the meaning behind the title.

However, the food itself was delicious, and I was satisfied with being able to see the show up close and even experience hula dancing. Watching the sunset from the upper deck while feeling the sea breeze was absolutely wonderful!

After watching the sunset, when I returned to my seat, the show resumed. This was the main event. They showcased various ethnic dances from around Hawaii and Polynesia (though I can't be certain as it was all in English). The final part where everyone danced in a circle was a bit confusing, but it was also fun!

If I participate again, I would like to join at a higher rank than Pacific Star. ^_^

現地まで自分で行く自信がなくて送迎を依頼しました。集合時間より少し早めに行くと団体様が集まってました。シールを渡され胸に貼るように指示。参加するコースを判別するものの様です。

現地に着くまでバスの中ではオリエンテーションのビデオが流れていましたが、日本語を含む3ヶ国語で流れていてわかりやすかったです。
現地に着くと乗船口まで各所に係の方が立たれていて笑顔で挨拶してくれるのでとても感じかよかったです。

さて肝心の席ですが、パシフィックスターの席は最下層のキッチンの目の前（笑）窓も掃除が行き届いておらず、ひっきりなしにキッチンから人の出入りがあり、景色や雰囲気を楽しむということは難しいです。ブッフェも上のランクの方々が座ってる席の窓の外、廊下に列になって立ち、中の人たちに見られながら自分の番を待つという状態でここまでは正直後悔しかありませんでした（笑）これがタイトルの意味です。

ただ、食事自体は美味しく、またショーも間近で見られ、フラダンスの体験もできたりこの点は満足のいくものでしたし、サンセットの時には上の階に上がり海風を感じながら夕日が沈むのを見ることができたのは大大大満足でした！

夕日を見た後、座席に戻るとショーが再開されていました。というかここからが本番。ハワイ周辺やポリネシア(終始英語だったので定かではありませんが)など様々な地域の民族的ダンスをたくさん見せてくれます。最後みんなで輪になって踊らされるのはやや意味不明でしたが、それも楽しかったです！

次回もし自分が参加するとすれば、パシフィックスターより上のランクで参加したいですね^_^

My first participation was included in the tour. However, I had a bitter memory from that time, so I participated again for a revenge. The course content was incomparable to the last time (though it's not fair to compare it to the tour course). There was space between the seats, and the service was quite good. It seems that the course content varies by floor on the ship. From the food, live performances, singing, to dancing, the quality definitely improves with the grade. In June, I noticed many Japanese newlywed couples. I was able to enjoy a luxurious time.

ただ、その時の苦い思い出があるので、リベンジで2回目の参加をしました。コース内容も前回の時とは比較にならない(ツアーコースと比較しても仕方ないのですが)内容でした。

お料理、生演奏、生歌、ダンスから、やはりグレードが上がればそれなりに、、、。

I used this cruise for my honeymoon. A friend who went to Hawaii recommended it, so I decided to join. Since I had already eaten a lot of delicious food on other days, I thought a buffet-only course would be fine, so I chose the cheapest option.

A bus picked us up from the hotel and took us to the port. Before boarding the ship, we were welcomed by dancers and live music. I thought we would be able to take a photo with the captain, but it turned out that those on the cheapest course were not allowed to do so. There was also no lei service, so I regretted not buying one.

The guest rooms for the cheapest course were noticeably different. Compared to the others, they felt a bit dim and lacked a sense of luxury. The next level up didn't seem to have that issue.

There was a man providing live music, two boys who were both dancers and waiters, and one hula girl. We could freely go out onto the deck, so we enjoyed the sunset. The food was quite tasty! I regretted not choosing the next level up for my honeymoon, but I could really feel the effort from the waiters and dancers, which made it a lot of fun. At one point, passengers joined in the dancing, and by the end, we were all dancing to YMCA and Gangnam Style, experiencing a joy that is hard to find in Japan.

Since it was the cheapest course, there were a lot of young people, and the atmosphere was really lively. However, I would recommend the second cheapest course or higher to those who are going in the future.

バスがホテルまで迎えに来てくれて港へ。船に乗り込む前にダンサーや生演奏でお出迎え。キャプテンと写真を撮らせてもらえると思ってましたが、一番安いコースの人は撮らせてもらえませんでした。。。。レイのサービスもなかったので、せっかくだから買っていけばよかったです。客室も一番安いコースのところだけあからさまに様子が違いました(^_^;)他と比べてなんだか薄暗いし高級感はありません。１つ上のコースはそんなことなさそうでした。
生演奏をしてくれるおじさんと、ダンサーとウェイターを兼任の男の子が2人、フラガールが１人いました。
デッキには自由に出れるので夕暮れを楽しみました。
料理は普通に美味しかったです！せっかくの新婚旅行だし１つ上のコースにすればよかったなぁと後悔しましたが、ウェイターさんもダンサーさんも一生懸命やってくれてる感じが伝わってすごく楽しくなってきました。途中からダンスに乗客も混ざり、最終的にはみんなでYMCAやカンナムスタイル、アメリカの若者の躍りを躍って日本ではなかなか味わえない楽しさを満喫できました。
いちばん安いコースなだけに若い人が多くて盛り上がりはすごかったです。
でもこれから行く人には2番目に安いコース以上をおすすめするかな～。

I had a great experience with the cruise and the live music and hula show. Each person receives two drink tickets. I ordered champagne and cake, but I ended up taking them home instead of enjoying them there. Maybe I didn't need them. The food portions were surprisingly similar to a Japanese course meal, which is rare in Hawaii.

I'm really glad I participated in this dinner cruise! The food was delicious, and the view from the boat was very beautiful. However, the spacing between the tables was a bit too tight, and I was nervous about bumping into the person next to me! The staff also made an effort to entertain us, which was great.

The buffet is different from the quality of hotel buffets, but since it's on a ship, it's sufficient. We participated as a family of five: my husband, our three-year-old son, and our one-year-old twins. The kids can't wait for a course meal, and I thought it would be a hassle if they got noisy, so we chose the buffet. We were able to board with the twins in their stroller. The ship also has an elevator (which can only be used by those with special needs like wheelchairs or strollers), and we were able to move to the top floor using the elevator. We were looking forward to the fireworks on Friday, but they were canceled due to rising water levels; however, the three-hour cruise went ahead as planned. It was a lot of fun to relax and enjoy the scenery, listen to live music, and dance together.

I participated on the last night of our honeymoon. Due to my shellfish allergy, I joined the buffet.

The sunset was beautiful (although it was a bit cloudy...), so that was nice, but honestly, the food and the event were just mediocre. I felt that it might have been better if we had chosen a higher-tier tour, like a 3-star or 5-star.

Since we came to Hawaii and we hardly speak any English, it might be our issue, but I couldn't understand anything the MC or the staff were saying, and I was just smiling politely the whole time.

Personally, I wish it were a bit more accommodating for those who don't speak English well.

When I arrived at the meeting point, there were other tour groups, so I wasn't sure which staff line to join. It would have been helpful to have a sign or something. For the return shuttle, I got off the boat a bit late without any communication, so I was confused about where to get on the vehicle and ended up getting lost. I was disappointed to be seated at a table with Japanese people. If it was going to be shared seating, I would have preferred it to be with non-Japanese guests. The buffet was neither good nor bad.

集合場所にいくと他のツアーの方がいたのでどのスタッフの列に並べば良いのかわからないような状態でした。プラカードなどがあればよかったです。帰りの送迎の集合場所も連絡なく下船するのが少し遅くなっため車に乗るの場所がわからず、迷いました。テーブルは日本人との相席で残念でした。相席であれば日本人でない方がよかったです。バイキングは可もなく不可もなくというところです。

I'm one of those people that thinks it's a waste to be on a boat if you're going to be cooped up indoors all the time. If you're going to experience a sunset at sea, you might as well do it right with an open-air deck and a mai tai in hand.

The dinner on this cruise was great, and so was the live entertainment, which included ukulele, hula, and a fire dance (totally unexpected), but for how affordable it is all of those just seemed like a cherry on top of a gorgeous cake.

If you want to experience a Hawaiian sunset on a laid-back ship, this is the cruise for you.

I was delayed for a reason, but they waited until the last minute, and all the staff were smiling. It was a wonderful sunset, delicious food, great dancing, and an amazing night!!!

I might have misunderstood, but I thought I would be able to see the fireworks from Hilton, which was disappointing...

We boarded as a family. Since we had a small child with us, we were a bit hesitant about participating, but there were many families on board as well. The staff were very kind and made our experience enjoyable. Fortunately, our child fell asleep during the ride, allowing us to relax and enjoy a leisurely time. This was our second time boarding, and if the opportunity arises again, we would love to participate.

The Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner Cruise was the best I have ever experienced! Food was excellent and rates a 10!!! The service was top notch with the servers offering to do anything to make our trip pleasant and fun. The entertainment was more than expected and with the audience participation it made the evening so enjoyable. I would take my whole family next time!
