The departure is around 5 PM, and shortly after that, the meal begins. From there, dishes are served one after another, so there honestly isn't much time to leave your seat. However, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Waikiki in the evening, and the breeze feels really nice. Our seating area was a cozy space with only Japanese and Korean guests. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn't see the sunset, but we enjoyed live keyboard performances and Hawaiian dances throughout the evening. At the end, everyone in the room formed a circle and had fun dancing with the staff at the center. It was clear that the locals are very skilled at creating a lively atmosphere. We had a great experience on this dinner cruise. The entertainment was outstanding and the firework show was just the icing on top. The waitress and staff went beyond expectations to make sure we were having a great time. The food was good but I wish they would give an option for the lobster. I do not care for lobster and therefore did not eat it. I just wish the steak would have been a larger portion since we did not eat the lobster. Other than that, excellent time!

This time, we visited Hawaii for a wedding trip and were looking for events that both families could enjoy. In the end, we were very satisfied. There were buffet and course meal options, but we chose the buffet. For reference, the dining areas were divided by floor:

I boarded the Three Star with my friends. Even in restaurants these days, it's rare to be seated with strangers. When I negotiated with the staff to change seats because it was our honeymoon, I was told, "If a two-person table opens up, you can move," but if I couldn't change seats, I wanted a refund and to get off the boat. 日本ではありえません。こんなこと、初めてです。私のテーブルは全員カップルだったので、みんな席に案内された瞬間、凍りついていました。ウェイトレスさんが英語で、「日本人の人、手を挙げて。韓国人、手を挙げて。皆友達だよ！」と言ってきましたが、誰も乗らず。私も気分が沈みきって泣きそうになっていました。
そこらへんのレストランでも相席なんて、今の時代、そうそうありません。
スタッフの人に、ハネムーンだから席を替えてもらえないか交渉したところ、「二人掛けの席にキャンセルが出たら、移動できる」と言われたが、もし席の移動ができなかったら船を下りて返金してほしかった。
ちなみに、ホテルから港までの送迎バスも満員で、約３０分、席がなくて知らない人の隣に座らされました。詰め込みすぎ。

② 料理について
正直、あまりおいしくない。高価なだけに、期待しすぎた。ロブスターはぱさぱさ。しかも、おしぼりは出されなかったため、トイレが長蛇の列に。ハワイはおしぼりがでないことを知っていたので、大きいウエットティッシュを持ち歩いていましたがこんな日にかぎって持ってくるのを忘れました。ロブスターを出すときぐらい、おしぼりかフィンガーボウルを用意すべきでは？
③ ショーについて
ショーは良かったです。ホテルからの送迎バスを降りたら、ウェルカムダンスをしてくれていて、気分が盛り上がりました。

しかし！船のガソリンが足りなかったのか？時間配分のミス？なんの間違いなのか、船が港についてから１５分くらいは、ショーが続いていました。
昔、このツアーに参加した時は、ちゃんと海の上でショーをやってくれていたような。。

④ 総評
とにかく残念なツアーでした。二度と、参加しません。

Since it was a bit far from Waikiki, I think it's better to include transportation. I was surprised by the large ferry! My husband and I participated together. 以前、新婚旅行で３スターを利用させて頂き、お料理も船からの眺めもロマンティックでとても思い出深いものでしたので、今回も利用させて頂きました。今回は１スターの利用でしたが、お料理もカニの食べ放題があり、ショーも見れてワイワイ楽しめました。１スターはドレスコード不可なので気楽に楽しめると思います。ただ、１スターは席が船の先端寄りなので、その日の波の状況により船酔いする可能性があるかもしれません。いずれにしても、心配な方は念のため酔い止めを服用して行く事をお勧めします。毎週金曜日はヒルトンハワイアンビレッジの花火が上がるので、それに合わせて予約するのもお勧めです。今回、当方もクルーズから花火を眺めましたが、とても素敵なものでした。

個人的に白身魚のグリルとマカロニポテトサラダが最高でした！
もちろんローストビーフもおいしかったです。
デザートのケーキまでありました。

ホールクルーの方々もとても陽気で、演出も派手！
楽しい雰囲気が好きな方にはもってこいだと思います。

サンセットもとても綺麗に見えて、感動しました。

I have lived in Hawaii since 1985. My niece from Indiana visited for a week. I took her on the Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner Cruise, having never been on it myself. I didn't know what to expect. It was awesome! We both loved it. The pre-boarding hula & Hawaiian music, the on-board entertainment, the food, the views and the friendly staff were all very enjoyable. When other friends and family come to visit, I will be sure to take them. It was the highlight of my niece's visit!

Love, love, loved the dinner cruise. This was our first time in Hawaii and I must say I am happy that we chose this as one of the activities to attend to. From the very beginning when we got picked up from the hotel, welcoming at the cruise ship, dinner, entertainment and fireworks, this is definitely a night that will be forever cherished. The staff was amazingly helpful and attentive especially our table server Rosey, she constantly made sure we had enough crab (purchased steak and all you can eat crab meal) and glasses were filled with drinks. Just AWESOME!!! The music and performers were great as well. At the end of the night we watched fireworks out on the deck. Overall my husband and I had a most memorable evening and recommend if you have not already done so this is one of the a Hawaii activities you don't want to miss!!!

Second cruise. 2度目のクルーズ

This was my second cruise, having taken one 10 years ago. Basically, the content hadn't changed. However, the prices had gone up. The weather was nice, so the sunset was very beautiful. Communication in Japanese was easy, and the staff were friendly. I knew the meeting place was Aloha Tower, but considering the return trip, I requested a shuttle. It was easier than going by myself.

While it may be understandable that the cancellation reason was maintenance, from our perspective, we had high expectations for each activity and had planned our schedule around them for days in advance. We were really looking forward to it. To be told just a few days prior, "It's been canceled. If you'd like, please consider other tours," felt very harsh.

Since we were not satisfied, we went on a similarly priced cruise, but it seems we were directed to the lowest tier of that cruise. I found that to be quite rude. I believe that true sincerity would involve providing a service that exceeds the canceled activity, without us having to say anything.

Due to the very disappointing response we received this time, I am giving this evaluation. Additionally, despite our request for phone support because we were in a hurry, communication was only via email until the day before the trip, and they did not respond to that request. It feels as though they do not value each individual user.

I experienced the Five Star this time. Since it was my first trip to Hawaii and our honeymoon, I was really looking forward to the dinner on the boat. At first, I thought I might not need transportation and considered taking a bus or taxi, but since it was my first time in Hawaii and I was unsure about getting there on time, I decided to request the pickup plan from Waikiki at the last minute.

The meeting place was at a hotel in Waikiki, and there was a staff member in front of the hotel for check-in. You can show your voucher to check in. At that time, you receive a sticker, which you should place in a visible spot. This sticker serves as a ticket and is also needed for moving around on the boat. There are areas on the deck that are exclusive to Five Star, so having the sticker allows the staff to recognize you.

When we arrived at the port, the boat was docked just a short distance from the bus stop. After boarding the boat and taking the elevator to the deck, we took a photo with the captain. This photo is later offered for sale, so you can purchase it.

集合場所はワイキキホテル内のホテルで、受付はホテル前に係員の方がおられるので、バウチャーを見せると受付をしていただけます。その際にシールをもらえるので、見えるところに貼っておきます。このシールがチケット代わりになり、船上での移動にも必要になります。船上のデッキは、ファイブスターのみ使用できる場所があるので、シールを貼っておくと係員の方もそれを見て判断していただけます。
港へ到着すると、バス停からすぐのところに船が停まっていました。船に乗りエレベーターで甲板まで上がり、船長と一緒に写真をとります。この写真は最後に例のごとく売りにまわってくれるので、購入することができます。
甲板ではウェルカムドリンクとクラッカーなどの軽食があり、リッチな気分を味わうことができました。食事はまずまずでしたが、カクテルはとてもおいしく、スムージーのカクテルは特に美味しかったです。飲み物を持ってデッキに出ることも可能なので、夜景や夕焼けを見ながらお酒を飲むことができました。
ウェイターの方もとても親切で、この日はとても波が高く船酔いをしてしまったのですが、すぐに気付いていただき、サービスで胃に優しい飲み物を持ってきていただきました。
波が高いのはこの日だけでは無いようなので、酔い止めは必携です。
また今回は金曜日だったので、ヒルトンハワイアンビレッジからの花火が見れて最高の夜でした。できれば金曜日に行くのがオススメです。
今回、最高のクルーズに参加でき、本当に楽しい夜でした。
機会があればまた参加したいです。

I requested a pickup from Waikiki. There were so many buses that I wasn't sure which one to take. I got on the bus and headed to the cruise. I chose the all-you-can-eat crab, but the meal was just okay. The sunset and the show were really great. It became a wonderful memory. There was a kind employee, and I wanted to give a tip, but I didn't know when to do it, so I ended up not giving one... The people in Hawaii are cheerful. I received a lot of energy from them. I think people of all ages can enjoy it. Thank you very much.
