This was a wonderful tour. Jessie was our driver and he was more than excellant. He was very knowledgable. He knew tons of facts about the history of the island. It was well worth spending a day to do this tour. I now know of some "secret" LOL places to go next time I am there. Jessie made the tour interesting. We ended up seeing him the next day at the Polynasian Culture center and he came over to us to say hi. Thanks Jessie for the fantastic day!

Be Careful Leaving Items on Bus

Enjoyed experience, but don't leave anything on the bus.
Our driver Patrick said it would be OK to leave items on bus during tour, because he would lock up the bus, but failed to tell us that he would go back to the city to return other guests on the shorter tour and return for us later, hence my wife's pink shawl went missing

Our tour of the Arizona and other memorials was totally worth the tour. Larry our driver was very informative, thorough and went out of his way to make his guests comfortable. We enjoyed learning about the memorials and surrounding areas. Had we driven ourselves, we would not have known many important aspects of the Island. Highly recommend the tour especially if it's the first time on the Island which it was our first. Kudos to Larry!!

The tour was good. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We basically saw the whole island in one day so it was long day but worth it. Bring plenty of water to keep hydrated!!!!! The only negative was that our driver was 30 minutes late picking us up but other than that it was cool.

The tour began with a punctual pick-up at the pre-specified location. Our driver, Marlon, was very professional, friendly and very knowledgeable! Upon our arrival at the Pearl Harbor, he gave us detailed instructions about the timeline of our visit. He advised on how we could make best use of our time there with visiting the different sites. All went very smoothly!

You can't stay in Honolulu without seeing this magnificent tribute to the fallen military men and women of WWII. After attending a short film that told of December 7, 1941, we were then shuttled by boat to the Arizona. The sunken battleship still has oil that is leaking out of the tanks of the ship which you can actually smell. After this part of the tour, we went by bus to the USS Missouri where the treaty was signed with Japan. This was also very moving. As we headed back to Waikiki, we went by the Punchbowl Cemetery, China Town and got to see the State Building where the statue of King Kamehameha stands in front. This is the first thing that you see in the Hawaii 5 0 show when it starts. This is a great tour, and has all the must sees!

Hard to describe the emotions one feels when visiting the Memorial. It is beautiful yet gut wrenching to know you are standing above the sunken Arizona where so many met their demise. One definitely receives an education about a terrible moment in our history. The Volunteers and Veterans were wonderful in explaining the details of such a long ago time. We also had the good luck to meet a survivor. This tour is a must see.

If you go on this tour, ask for bus 738. Patrick was our driver and guide and he was awesome. He was very knowledgable and showed us a lot of interesting things and explained to us what we were being shown. When it came time for the tour Patrick had a handle on the process and made sure we knew what was expected during the actual memorial tour. Great job Royal Star!

If you go on your own, you are not guaranteed tickets for the day. I recommend you take this tour... The tour around downtown was also so informative. Tour operator was of a high standard and very professional.The various areas of the Pearl Harbour area were well organised. Especially the USS Missouri tour and artifacts. The Pearl Harbour audio self tour was well organised too, however insufficient time was allowed to seriously view all stations of the tour. The Arizona Memorial pre film of the events was very real and looked at from all sides. The actual memorial was moving and somber. again a little more time would have been benifical. The tour concluded with a drive through the Punchbowl Cemetry. The only disappointing part of the day was the poor and very limited options for food and drinks. As the tour was a full day it would have been more enjoyable if a larger range of foodstuff was available. Finally the tour could have been more enjoyable with an extra hour at the Pearl Harbour and Aviation Muesum. Well done to our tour operators driver. A memorable day.
