Because of our schedule, we chose to take the sunrise tour to Diamond Head. There is only one company that offers it that I could tell. It is an expensive ride, but you are the first one there. Note that you arrive 45 minutes before the park opens so you will be waiting in line to get in. You will need to use your flashlight on your phone to get up to the top and the hike is moderately difficult. We were lucky and had a beautiful view on the top. The malsadas are a yummy treat at the end.

I was told that we could hike at our own pace, but considering the meeting time, I couldn't take it too slowly. For those who don't exercise much on a regular basis, want to take breaks while climbing, or want to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace, it might feel a bit rushed.

This time, I participated in a dolphin watching and snorkeling tour in Hawaii for the first time. We were incredibly lucky to encounter a pod of spinner dolphins just 15 minutes after departure. There were quite a few dolphins swimming alongside and in front of the boat for a long time, and we even got to see them jumping. During snorkeling, I was able to swim very close to a green sea turtle.

On the way back, we were fortunate enough to see seven humpback whales at the same time, making it a miraculous day, and I had a truly satisfying experience. I had such a great experience eight years ago that I can honestly say I came to Hawaii just for this. The course has changed a bit since my last visit, and it was nice to see different places. There was a photographer who took pictures of each person, and they were available for purchase afterward. This time, the guide took photos with their own phone during the ride, and I received them via AirDrop afterward. The photos turned out really well. There are no guides who speak Japanese. Since the horseback riding lasts for two hours, if you're concerned about sunburn, it's essential to apply sunscreen on your face as well.

We loved everything about the this tour. We went in the morning, and the water was almost waist deep but it didn’t bother us. We got to see many fish by snorkeling, did standup paddle boarding, kayaking, and listened to the amazing musicians perform onboard. The crew were very kind, helpful and entertaining. They made it extra fun. My husband and I had a great time and would gladly do it again, only with KBOS. Highly recommend going with this crew.

If you're debating between this and a buggy, I definitely recommend this one! The bicycles are electric and have a mode for uphill, so it's super easy!

Everything was smooth sailing from our pick up at the Hyatt to being delivered back to the Hyatt after. Boarding was quick and easy. We had a member with mobility issues and even though the boat was rocking a little bit while going through the buffet she made it safely back to her seat with all her food still on the plate. Our waiter was Ryan and he was great. Very efficient and he loves to dance. He led us on a music train around the room, then got up and danced on the stage.
Food was decent, what I will say is it is typical buffet food. Nothing stood out as a WOW. The entertainment was good and lively. Also typical Polynesian dances if you've been to a Luau. Fireworks at the end of the night were spectacular and watching them from the water was a highlight.

The buggy experience is wonderful. You can enjoy it even if you don't know the movie. A person who speaks Japanese will explain things before check-in after you arrive. However, once the buggy experience starts, it will be in English only. But you can generally understand it. The buggy doesn't go for a full two hours without stopping; it stops at power spots along the way. Also, the bus driver for the shuttle was very lively and provided guidance throughout the drive.
