It was a whale watching experience blessed by good weather, but I only saw a baby whale spouting in the distance at first, and after that, I couldn't see anything else. Well, it's a living creature, so there's nothing we can do about it.

However, the staff with the Japanese guide were wonderful, and it’s not often you get to enjoy the view of the horizon from the boat, as well as Waikiki and Diamond Head, so I had a great time!

Since it's a trip abroad, it might also be nice to hear local recommendations from the Japanese guide.

天候にも恵まれたホエールウォッチングでしたが、
最初に子どもクジラの潮吹きが遠くに見えたっきり、それ以降は見る事ができませんでした。まぁ、生き物なので仕方ないですね。

しかしながら、日本語ガイドのスタッフの対応も素晴らしく、また船上から水平線を眺めたり、ワイキキ＆ダイヤモンドヘッドを眺める事が出来る機械はなかなかないので、十分楽しめました！

せっかくの海外ですので、日本語ガイドから現地のおすすめ情報を聞いたりするのも良いかもしれませんよ。

It was great to be able to participate casually in something like diving, which I don't get to do often. The staff, who spoke fluent Japanese, were kind and said various interesting things to keep us entertained. Unfortunately, we didn't encounter any sea turtles. I expected the water to be a bit clearer. We had to share one window for viewing, and since the seats were cramped, it felt a bit awkward to be looking with a stranger.

They took photos for us at every stop, so even as a couple, we didn't have to worry about taking pictures. I really appreciated this thoughtful gesture.

Since I chose the hiking plan, I walked through the botanical garden at the end point in Waimea Canyon, but it was hard to understand the different zones without being able to read English... I can recommend it for nature lovers, but if I were to do it again, I think I'd prefer horseback riding after seeing others.

I was told that in winter, it depends on the turtles, but luckily, we encountered a sea turtle basking on the rocks! The conversations along the way were enjoyable, but on the way back, I was so tired that I fell into a deep sleep. You can have such a fulfilling experience in a short amount of time. I highly recommend it.

行く先々でまず写真撮影をしてくれたので、カップルで参加してもカメラ撮影に気を揉まずにすみました。
本当にこういう心遣いは嬉しかったです。

ハイキングプランをチョイスしたので、ワイメア渓谷がゴール地点の植物園を歩いたのですが、英語が読めないとゾーンが変わってもよくわからないという…
自然大好き！な方にはオススメできますが、リピートするなら乗馬がいいなぁと他の方々を見て思いました。

冬場は寒いので出会えるかは亀次第…と説明を受けたものの、運良くウミガメの甲羅干しにも出会えてラッキー！
道中の会話も楽しかったのですが、帰りは疲れて熟睡してしまいました。
それだけ充実した内容を短時間で過ごせます。オススメです。

I participated in the morning tour on January 3rd. Unfortunately, I didn't see any whales at all. The breakfast included eggs, sausages, and bread, and it was quite substantial for the price.

During the New Year period, the weather in Honolulu was consistently bad with rain coming and going, but thanks to that, I was able to see a big rainbow from the boat.

I have been on the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise several times, and during those times, it makes a U-turn just before Diamond Head. However, this tour goes even further. It was interesting to view Oahu from the sea, as well as the backside of Diamond Head.

But I really wanted to see whales...

The weather was perfect, and I had a wonderful time. It felt amazing. I had read in the reviews that I might get wet, so I brought a change of clothes, but perhaps because the waves were calm, I didn't get wet at all. It turned out we were the only Japanese people there, which was actually nice. I couldn't communicate in Japanese at all... The meeting place was completely different from what was written. I was glad I had allowed plenty of time, but if I had been cutting it close... The actual yacht was located near the Sheraton. The cocktails were delicious. Everyone I went with was very satisfied. If I have the chance to go to Hawaii again, I would love to go on this again.

I was worried about the rain until departure, but after we set sail, the rain stopped, and I was able to see the whales I had longed to see (I think it was probably three different whales). The food was just okay. I thought the prices were a bit high, but considering it was a cruise and whale watching, I guess it's understandable. There were other tours available, but it seemed like the Navatek was the one with the highest chance of seeing whales, and I am satisfied.

On January 8, my spouse and I participated. We go to Oahu every year, but we rarely visit during this time, so we joined a whale watching tour for the first time, which can only be seen during this season.

送迎なしのコースに参加したが、下船後はアロハタワー内の商店は店を閉めているところが多く閑散としているが、１０分ほど歩いてダウンタウン、チャイナタウンを散策した。

We participated as a family of four: a second-grade girl (21kg), a fourth-grade girl (28kg), a father (quite large), and a mother (of average size). Although the participation conditions stated that participants should be over 7 years old, we were worried about potential weight restrictions. For the jet stream parasailing, my husband and the second grader sat in the front and back, while I and the fourth grader sat side by side.

It felt like riding a high swing, and the view was absolutely amazing, allowing us to see Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from the ocean side and from a high vantage point. At the end, we were splashed a little in the sea for fun, but the second grader, being in the first pair, didn't know about it and ended up getting water poured over her head, which she said she didn't like.

There was a service to provide photos in digital format for $30, but we declined and took our own pictures and videos.

The most challenging part was on the day of our reservation. We waited for 10 minutes, then 30 minutes, but the pickup car never arrived. When we tried to contact them, we only heard a commercial and couldn't understand what was being said. Eventually, we got help from a staff member at a nearby Quicksilver store who spoke a little Japanese (she kindly made the call for us), and we were able to get a Japanese-speaking staff member on the line. If they couldn't be reached, they could have at least explained that they weren't coming to the meeting point. 一番大変だったのが予約していた日、10分待っても30分待っても迎の車が来ず、連絡してもコマーシャルみたいなのが流れているだけで何を言っているか分からず、結局近くのクイックシルバーのお店の少し日本語のしゃべれるスタッフのお姉さんに変わってもらい（電話も快くかけてくれました）日本語のスタッフを出してもらいました。するとその日はボートの機械トラブルで中止。日を変えて欲しいとのこと。催行者には連絡したとのことですが私たちには何の連絡も入らない、しかもその待っていた時間もかなり無駄になりました。連絡が取れないんだったらその待ち合わせ場所に来てないことを説明してくれてもいいんではないでしょうか。たまたま予定がない日があったから良かったのですが、なければ楽しみにしていたアクティビティも出来ないことになります。日にちを変えてもらって、途中で時間の変更もしたのですが、その時間の変更が伝わっておらず、またまた迎の時間に待っても待っても来ない・・・・またまたクイックシルバーのお姉さんに助けてもらい遅れてくるとのこと。
父は怒るし、これでアクティビティにみんなが満足してくれなかったら予約した私（母）の立場が(>_<)
まあそんなことはたまたまあっただけだと思うので、アクティビティには大満足しましたので、オススメですよ！！！

I was a bit scared of the height during my first parasailing experience, but I was able to enjoy the course of just over 100 meters.

The staff explained everything in simple Japanese, which made me feel at ease.

Above all, the view was incredible, as if I was flying in the sky! It was the most exciting and moving activity of our honeymoon trip.

In the tour I used, they offered photo shooting during parasailing for $30. They took about 90 photos, and in the end, I received an SD card after checking the content. It's quite difficult to take good photos with a regular camera, but the staff, who were flying around freely on the boat, took amazing pictures with a telephoto camera. At first, I thought $30 was a bit expensive, but in the end, I was really glad I ordered it. All four groups who were on the boat with me used the photo service.

Next time I go on a trip where I can do marine sports, I definitely want to try parasailing again.

I used this service during my honeymoon trip to Hawaii in January 2013. I was able to encounter whales several times. When the whales were visible, the staff would announce it and let us know. Until then, we could enjoy lunch and relax comfortably on the boat.

However, there are a few tips to keep in mind for whale watching:
- Whales tend to surface for only a few seconds to a few tens of seconds before returning to the water.
- Even if the staff informs you and you look in that direction, the whales may already be back underwater and not visible.
- Once you've finished your meal, if you go out on deck and leisurely gaze at the sea, you might spot whales even before the staff does, which seems to be a more efficient way to see them.

I was moved to see both whales and dolphins up close! I was able to see a mother and calf whale passing under the boat as well! The captain and staff provided announcements (in English and Japanese) about where to look for the whales, making it easy to spot them! I would love to participate again!

- I found it worthwhile to participate, thinking I could experience the feeling of cruising.
- We encountered two whales and were able to see them spouting for a while.
- We frequently spotted dolphins, although they weren't very close.

・船着き場周りのショッピングモールに興味があり、敢えて送迎なしにしました。しかしながら閉店しているお店も多く、とても淋しいモールでした。イベント後に寄る時間を用意する価値は全くなく、送迎プランですぐ帰った方が良かったと後悔しました。そこで宮殿とチャイナタウンへ寄りました。オフィス街と通って徒歩１０分強で宮殿に着きました。帰りはバスで帰りました。
・朝食プランを選択しました。コーヒーは普通においしく、スクランブルエッグが思い出しても気持ち悪くなる程、まずかったです。鯨が出ないのでヒマでおかわりに行きましたが、ほとんど残っていませんでした。沢山食べたい方は、最初の盛り付けでたくさんよそってください。種類はとても少ないので期待しない方が良いです。

For any first timer to the island of Oahu, this is a must. Plan on an early morning tour or visit to Pearl Harbor. The afternoons can bring wind or rain. If the winds are to harsh, (whitecaps) they will shut down the boat ride over to the memorial. Acouple of things to consider while there, 1) tour the submarine located at the center, 2) tour the USS Missouri (I think) that is located across the water, but adjacent to the Arizona Memorial. We were not aware of either and wished to have seen.

well my husband and i drove there and we got there really early about 45 min before check in. the staff said they wont start boarding everyone till 1145 . so we walked around and returned at 1130. they were boarding already and we were last in line. i was really disappointed because i wanted window seat. well that didnt happen we sat in the middle of the ship. they started serving food right away. the food was ok it was a buffet so that was good since we didnt eat breakfast. we were out on the ocean for about 45 min before they found any whales. about 15 min before the ship started heading back they finally found the whales but they were sooo faw away that we couldnt see them. then they started heading back after like 3 spottings. i recommend rent your own boat and go or make sure you are first in line and you bring binoculars with you.

Since it was a day with strong winds, we took motion sickness medication for both ourselves and the kids. The breakfast selection was limited, but the taste was quite good with sausage, rice, and oranges. For about 45 minutes after boarding, we only saw the whales spouting a couple of times, but then we got to see their tails and fins coming up and down several times, as well as some backflips, which was incredibly exciting through the binoculars from the fourth deck. My husband filmed it, so the kids could watch it later (the kids stayed with their mother on the boat). While on board, they prioritized explanations in Japanese (on the deck, they provided Japanese guidance after the English announcements, but by then the whales had already submerged), and there were several staff members who spoke Japanese, with the captain even playing with our child. I recommend staying on the fourth deck even if you don't understand English, as it's easier to see from above. We were lucky. Thank you, Joy.

風の強い日の参加だったので、子供共々酔い止めを飲んで参加しました。朝食の種類は少ないですが、味はソーセージ、ご飯、オレンジなど結構美味しかった。乗船して４５分くらいは２.３度の鯨の潮吹きだけでしたが、そのうち鯨のしっぽや横向きでヒレを何度も上げ下げしたり背面ジャンプしたりと４階から双眼鏡越しに大興奮。横の主人がビデオ撮影してくれたので後から子供もゆっくり見られました（子供は母と船内で）。船内にいる間日本語での説明を優先してくれたり（デッキにいると英語の後に日本語案内、でもその時には鯨は潜ってしまう）、日本語の話せるスタッフが何人かいらっしゃり、キャプテンはうちの子供と遊んでいてくれていました。英語が分からなくても４階デッキにいることをおすすめします、上から見るほうがわかりやすいので。ラッキーでした。ジョイありがとう。

We did see whales, but because the boat was large, we could only see their backs from a distance. I participated in whale watching for the first time. I was worried because the weather was bad, but I was able to see baby whales spouting water and jumping several times!! It was truly moving to see even the baby whales. Both my family, who visited Hawaii for the first time, and I, who have been to Hawaii multiple times, enjoyed it.

There are options for valley riding and beach riding, but I think the valley riding is more enjoyable since it lasts for an hour and a half and includes some ups and downs.

It was a 2 to 3-hour cruise, and the weather was great, the scenery was beautiful, and we even saw a rainbow, making it an excellent tour. I wasn't expecting to see many whales, but we saw more than I anticipated, and the kids were thrilled. I didn't think we would see so many. The breakfast was also good. (The air conditioning on the boat was a bit too cold.) I would love to participate again if I have the chance.
