We stayed in Honolulu as a family of four (myself, my wife, our 14-year-old son, and our 8-year-old son). Our 8-year-old son was not allowed to join the surfing group lesson due to age restrictions, so we split into two groups: my son and I went surfing, while my wife and our younger son went parasailing, which we had booked in advance from Japan.

By chance, the hotel pickup times for both tours were the same. On the day of the tour, I went to the reception first, and when the driver arrived, he called my name, and my son and I got in. I provided my full name and handed over the voucher (which clearly stated surfing), but it turned out to be the parasailing van. I asked the driver to go back so we could switch with my wife and younger son, but the driver insisted he couldn't go back due to time constraints!

We arrived at Hilton Lagoon Harbor in about 15 minutes, and reluctantly, the boat departed without us. I then called VELTRA for assistance. With the help of the person in charge of the surfing tour, they arranged for my wife and younger son to be picked up by the surfing tour van, allowing us to switch and participate in both tours, albeit one hour late.

We had another tour booked for the afternoon, and for a moment, I feared we might have to cancel one of the tours that day! I am very grateful for the support from both tour desks. This kind of trouble turned into a memorable experience of our trip.

Lastly, I have one piece of advice: please ensure that drivers are properly instructed to confirm the details on the voucher (full name, tour name).

最後に一つだけ苦言を。やっぱりバウチャーの内容(フルネーム、ツアー名)はドライバーにきちんと確認するよう指導お願いします。

I want to start off with a big thank you to Warren!! Very patience and helpful!! I have 2 young kids with me and he made sure I had assistance whenever I needed it. Got the Sunset fishing, they picked us up promptly from the hotel and about 20 minutes drive to the boat. Once on the boat it will take about an hour to get to the fishing spot. During that time they give you some instructions and serve you a rice plate that contains beans, hotdogs and pineapples. You get about 3 hrs of total fishing time at 3 different spots. A total of 5 hour trip. I would highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys fishing or just out in the ocean. My kids are 8 and 10 and had a lot of fun. If you have motion sickness make sure to take something beforehand, it can get a little choppy. I heard ginger works pretty well. Happy fishing!

I participated with five friends from my hula group. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations because the price was on the lower side, but it turned out to be an experience that exceeded my expectations. Although I've visited Hawaii many times, I've never seen such a beautiful sunset before. We were all deeply moved! The sunset, of course, along with the ocean, sky, wind, waves, and the view of Waikiki, plus the all-you-can-drink Mai Tais! Each element was simply amazing! There's no doubt this will become a repeat optional activity for our next visit!!

I went to Hawaii for my niece's wedding. I was able to challenge myself with parasailing, which had been a dream of mine for a long time, and it was so much fun. The sky and the sea, Hawaii is the best!! I landed perfectly in a small space on the boat from the sky. My skills were great.

This was a lot of fun. Captain Steve filled us in as to what to expect and Chris was a great bartender and sailing mate. We went out just past Diamond Head and had a beautiful view of everything. The other cruisers were laid back and the conversation was a lot of fun. You must do this at least once.

We participated as a couple. The shuttle driver was a super cheerful Japanese man. He said he could only speak English, but he was very proactive and kind. When we arrived at the harbor, it seemed like the previous group hadn't returned yet, so we waited for the boat. After a short wait, we set sail. Everyone else, mostly white couples and families, was chatting happily with the instructor, and I felt a bit envious... We flew in pairs, but since we were the fifth group out of five, I got a bit seasick during the wait. Everyone, including us, chose the highest altitude.

When it was finally our turn, the view was amazing, and it felt like we were floating. It was quiet, and I didn't feel scared at all. However, I still felt a bit nauseous from the seasickness, which was disappointing. It's better to take motion sickness medication beforehand.

Although it was an extra charge, they took a lot of photos with a digital camera, and we made great memories. At the end, they told us we didn't need to tip since we purchased the photo data at the harbor office, but I left a little something anyway.

有料ですがデジタル一眼で写真も沢山撮ってくれ、良い思い出ができました。最後に港の事務所で写真データを購入したから、チップはいらないよ～と言ってくれましたが少し置いてきました。

Since I was staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village, the departure port was very close and convenient, and the staff were very cheerful and kind, so even if you don't understand much English, you can still enjoy yourself! We experienced this with a couple of elderly people, our daughter, and our granddaughter, making a group of four. The course is 110 meters long, but this refers to the length of the rope. Depending on the wind, the parasail can come close to directly above the boat, reaching nearly 110 meters in height; if it drifts, it won't reach that height. During our participation, there was a north wind, so when we returned from offshore to Waikiki, we went higher compared to the members on the way out. However, since it feels like you are "floating" in the air, I don't think you'll feel scared. Since Waikiki is on the southern coast, if you want your face to look good in photos, I recommend boarding when heading out to sea. On the way back, the lighting is somewhat backlit, so your face may appear darker in the pictures. The crew took about 40 photos for a fee of $30, and this price applies whether you are a group of two or four. What I don't understand is the "tip." On the boat, there was a note in Japanese stating that "the fee does not include tips," which I believe means they want tips from Japanese customers. Everyone except us spoke English!! In the bus and on the boat, it was filled with fast-paced English, and even the English I thought I could understand was completely incomprehensible, but I managed to go with the flow. Since we're all human, we somehow made it work.

With an upbeat energy that you don't find in Japan, let's fly!! She was screaming in fear and kept her eyes mostly closed, but that really got a laugh from everyone else. It was a fun adventure! It was 90 meters, but there was plenty of time, and I was completely satisfied. I recommend getting the photos (an additional $30). They ask if you want to take pictures just before you fly or if you need an SD card.

I said, "Sure!! So many pictures please!!" When I got back, there were 150 photos!! Amazing. There are some black spots in the images, possibly from sand or water droplets, but the quality is top-notch. When zoomed in, you could even see each hair on my shins (laughs).

I definitely want to participate again when I go back to Hawaii, but she says she doesn't want to do it anymore! (laughs) Since tips are not included, I gave $10 to the boat staff and $5 to the shuttle driver, but I wonder if that was too little. I was a bit broke and didn't have much cash on hand...

It felt like we were abroad since everyone else was from another country. The weather was nice, and it was a very pleasant sailing experience. I think an hour and a half was just the right amount of time—not too short, not too long.

They were selling drinks for $5, and I wanted to have one, but I decided to skip it just in case I got seasick. The waves were minimal, so I might have been fine to drink. Next time, I’d like to try the sunset cruise.

Wow, what an experience! It's the only way to describe the feeling. Out of the choices we did 1000ft. Now it sounded pretty high but that's the only way to do it! Go big or go home! The views of the bay and diamond head were so awesome. The driver kills the engine a few times and it feels like a roller coaster ride. When you're in the air, it doesn't matter that you are so far in the sky and the boat looks so tiny. Such a rush! The guys are super cool and do offer to take pictures for you for a cost. It was like $30 for almost 200 pics. I had a waterproof camera and snapped some pics but not the same. Whatever floats your boat. Also remember that the longer the line, the longer the ride! And when you come back to the boat, you get dunked in the ocean, so refreshing! I was lucky to ride again with a single guy who was doing 300ft. Not even close to the same feeling when you're so much higher. I hope this review helps.

Since I was accompanied by an elderly person and a child, I booked a submarine tour where we could enjoy the underwater scenery without getting wet.

We took a boat from the beach out to sea and approached the submarine to board it. Although the sea was a bit murky due to the storm, we were still able to fully enjoy the underwater views. It seemed that the scenery was better on the left side than on the right side of the submarine. Additionally, while you can listen to explanations in Japanese through headphones inside the submarine, having some understanding of English allows you to enjoy the real-time commentary even more.

I could only see the whale's fins and tail, but the deep blue, beautiful sea was stunning! Also, there were so many people that when the whale appeared, everyone crowded to that side, so I couldn't take many photos of the whale!

This was a great experience! This was the best part of our vacation, the most fun the both of us had. The crew members really helped to make the trip memorable and so much fun. The crew had much knowledge and was able to answer so many questions. The best part by far was them helping me out. I was very afraid of getting in and snorkeling, I began freaking out and going back to the boat, before getting out the captain asked if I would be more comfortable using a floatation devise to help me out. And man that made a huge difference. Not only did they give me that device they then help me swim out to the spot and help me keep calm. This was the best thing for me, I was very frightened at first but got over it thanks to the crew thank you (:

I participated with a friend and their child, making a group of four. We couldn't speak Japanese, but we managed just fine with gestures. The parasailing was completely stable, and I didn't feel nauseous at all. I'm really glad I experienced the wonderful views from the sky!

Great relaxing evening . Picked up on time and out on the water with 11 other people .as with most fishing charters everyone became friendly and the crew especially deck hand Keith were great my type of people . Views of the harbour were stunning. And as a bonus we caught 13 fish between my wife and myself .
This is not a luxury charter it's a working mans charter and good value for money where you don't want a full deep sea trip . I would do it again .

I was torn between the Star of Honolulu and the Navatek, but choosing the Navatek based on experiences was the right decision. The morning tour doesn't include a meal, but since the goal was to see whales, it actually worked out well (lunch is after disembarking, back in Waikiki). We set sail almost at the same time as the Star, but even after the Star returned to port about 30 minutes after reaching the viewpoint, we continued to search for whales. The vessel is specifically designed for whale watching, making it very easy to see, and I highly recommend it.

スターオブホノルル号かこちらかで悩んだのですが、体験談などをもとにナバテック号を選んだのは正解でした。午前のツアーで食事もついていませんが、クジラを見るのが目的なのでむしろ良かったとも言えます（ランチは下船後、ワイキキに戻って）。スター号とほぼ同時に出航しましたが、スター号がビューポイント到着から30分くらいで帰港していった後も、クジラを求めて動いてくれました。船体もホエールウオッチング専用にできているのでとても見やすくおすすめです。

It was both of our first times surfing, and we were excited and nervous. The instructor didn't speak Japanese, which made me even more anxious about whether we would understand, but they taught us in slow and gentle English, so we were able to grasp everything.

We practiced on the beach and then headed into the ocean!

The instructor pushed us hard when the waves were good, and I was able to stand on the board and ride the wave on my first try! It was just exhilarating!

After that, the instructor sent us out alternately, which made me feel very secure.

Riding the waves was of course fun, but just floating on the board while waiting for our turns and the waves with my friend felt amazing!

An hour flew by, but by the end, my arms were at their limit, so one hour was just right for beginners.

One thing I definitely recommend is to use sunscreen!!! I don’t usually burn easily, so I didn’t apply much, but since we were lying face down in the water the whole time, my calves and the backs of my thighs got really burned! If you don’t want to get too much sun, please apply sunscreen generously on the back side.

I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

友達と2人で参加させて頂きました！

2人ともサーフィンをするのは初めてで、ワクワクドキドキ。。
先生は日本語を話せない方だったのでちゃんと分かるのか更にドキドキしましたが
英語がたいして分からない私達でも分かるように、ゆっくりと優しい英語で教えて頂けたのでちゃんと理解することが出来ました。

始めビーチで練習をしていざ海へ！！

先生が良い波の時におもいっきり押してくれるので、1回目でボードの上に立ち波に乗ることが出来ました！！
そりゃもう爽快のひと言！！！

その後も友達と交互に先生が送り出してくれるのでとても安心感がありました。

波に乗ってる時ももちろん面白かったのですが、
友達との順番待ちと波待ちの為にボードの上でプカプカ浮いて居るだけで最高に気持ち良かったです！！

あっという間の１時間
しかし、終わる頃には腕に限界がきていたので初心者には1時間がとてもちょうど良かったです。


ひとつ絶対にした方が良いと思うのは、とにかく日焼けどめです！！！
私はあまり日焼けに抵抗が無いので、そんなに塗っていなかったのですが、
なにせずっとうつ伏せで海に浮かんで居るわけですから、ふくらはぎ、太ももの裏側がものすごーーく焼けます！！
あまり焼けたく無いという方はこれでもかって言うくらい、裏側に日焼け止めを塗って下さい。


また機会があったら参加したいです。
