I reluctantly participated here as I couldn't secure a reservation for the Star of Honolulu and Majestic. However, this cruise takes a detour to ensure a clear view of Diamond Head, and thanks to the surrounding sailboats, you can capture beautiful photos. Unfortunately, on the day of the cruise, the weather was cloudy, so we couldn't see the sunset, but it would have been visible without any issues on a clear day. The buffet can be thought of as simple fast food and drinks, so I don't think it will be a major issue. As for the evening fireworks, it was surprisingly close, which was quite moving.

One point to note right after boarding is that the announcements will be made in Japanese in the cabin and in English on the deck. It’s definitely advisable to secure a spot on the deck. The announcements include the locations of the restrooms (two at the back), explanations of the boat/life jackets in case of an emergency, and how to order drinks, which are all straightforward matters.

一点、乗船直後の諸注意連絡ですが、日本語説明をキャビンで、英語説明をデッキで行います。どう考えても場所取りはデッキを押さえるべきです。連絡事項はトイレの場所（後方2箇所）、不慮の事故の際のボート/ライフジャケットの説明、ドリンクオーダーの仕方などで全く問題ない内容です。

With clear skies and a gentle breeze, the view of Diamond Head and the hotel towers while heading out to sea on a motorboat was exhilarating. There were eight participants, taking off two at a time into the sky. The tension when taking off from the boat was thrilling—“Oh!”—it was unforgettable. After that, it felt like a dream. We are a couple celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, and we truly had a wonderful experience. The staff was kind and humorous, and there was nothing to complain about. The 150 meters was the most enjoyable part.

快晴微風、モーターボートでワイキキ沖に向かう時のダイアモンドヘッド、ホテルのタワー群の景色に、気分は盛り上がりました。

I participated on the last day in Hawaii. As a result, I had a really fun time and made great memories! I highly recommend it! There were only a few Japanese people, which was nice since it was English-only. The staff were friendly and considerate, so I think those who are not confident in their English will have no worries. The people I boarded with were also very lively, and unfortunately, the day I participated was cloudy, so I couldn't see the sunset very well, but the atmosphere and the breeze were pleasant, and I was satisfied. I also rode on the Majestic, so I would be happy if you could use it for comparison. First of all, the Majestic is a large ship, like a cruise ship. Therefore, it doesn't sway. However, the distance from the sea is far, so I would definitely recommend the Majestic for elderly people.

The Makani is a large yacht. It's thrilling, and you are very close to the sea, so think of it as a home party atmosphere on a big yacht. Because it's thrilling, it sways a lot. I took my parents in their 70s, and they struggled to endure the swaying, which left them with sore legs and unable to move the next day, forcing us to take a day off at the hotel.

The food is not much different on either, but since it sways a lot, many people got seasick. (About 30% of the people were definitely seasick.)

If you want a small passenger ship that is stable and doesn't sway, go for the Majestic. If you want to enjoy the sea and the swaying with a yacht-like experience, choose the Makani.

評価が低いのは内容が悪いのではなく、評価の中であんまり揺れに関する事が書かれていなかったので、揺れを気にせず７０代の両親を連れて行ってしまったという事での低評価です。スタッフの方も船も悪くはありません。

The tour ended in the morning, but even after arriving at the hotel, I still felt nauseous until the evening, which was tough. Overall, the sunset cocktail cruise was excellent. The service staff was very attentive and would frequently go around the catamaran, refilling drinks and asking if you needed anything. The cruise itself did not take you very far from the pier, and stayed off the Waikiki coast, but still had an excellent view of diamond head and sunset. The appetizers were good, though not very substantial, consisting of chips, salsa, guacamole, salad, pasta salad, veggies, and rolls. Wouldn’t expect to get full from the food. The drinks were great, and basically free-flowing. Overall an excellent cocktail cruise

I requested 150m, but since I couldn't tell the difference from the others and we couldn't measure the length ourselves, 90m might be fine as well. In any case, the view is stunning and beautiful!

It might be due to the weather, but both my husband and I felt really exhausted from the strong swaying and the cold, leading to seasickness. Until now, I had only been on larger boats (like the sightseeing boat in Hakone and the ferry to Green Island in Cairns), and I had never experienced seasickness before. It seemed like another group of Japanese people were also feeling unwell. The foreign guests, on the other hand, all appeared to be quite relaxed. I wonder if they are used to it... The two crew members were kind, and a foreign couple nearby even suggested, "Taking deep breaths or looking at the distant scenery can help," which was very nice of them. It was cloudy, so we were also disappointed that we could hardly see the sunset. It seems like it would be better to decide on participation based on the weather (though that’s difficult...).

It takes less than 20 minutes to walk to the office from the Sheraton.
I filled out the participation documents, rented a rash guard and shoes, and received a video explanation of the precautions.
The staff explains in English, but there are subtitles in the video, so it's okay if you don't understand English.
After that, we headed to the beach.
At the beach, we practiced paddling and standing on the sand.
They teach you precisely where to position yourself on the board.
Once the practice was over, we actually went into the sea.
We paddled to the point (it's shallow, so you can stand...).
While waiting for the waves, the coach holds the board for you and pushes you out at the right moment.
Although they only spoke English, they taught us using simple Japanese phrases like "Koide."

ポイントまではパドリングで移動します。(遠浅なので足はつきますが…)
波を待っている間はコーチがボードを持ってくれて、タイミングを見て押し出してくれます。
英語しか話されない方でしたが、「コイデー」とカタコトの日本語で教えてくれます。
それをひたすら繰り返します。
初めてサーフィンをしましたが、幸い最初から立てたので、楽しい時間を過ごせました。
今回は一人で参加しましたが、他にも一人で参加されていた方がおり(日本人1人、アメリカ人のおばあちゃん!1人)仲良く話したりしたので、1人参加でも寂しくなかったです。
もっと上手になりたいと思いました。

他の方が書かれていた写真撮影はなく、せっかくサーフィンしたのに、何も形に残らないのはとても残念でした。
(有料でも写真は購入したかった。)
1人参加は撮影ないのかな？
必要ならオフィスで事前に聞いておくべきだと思います。

I had a pleasant experience thanks to the attentive service provided to everyone. However, I was asked if I wanted to take digital camera photos from the air for $30. I said it was okay for $30, but when we reached the shore and I thought I would pay at a hut-like place, I was told that those who were not disembarking immediately should get on the bus. It seemed like most people hadn’t paid.

I received the photo data on an SD card while on the boat.

It felt like everyone around me was left wondering as they were ushered onto the bus. I wonder if the payment is being processed later by credit card?

Hawaii! The ocean! Surfing! With that in mind, I chose this place based on the great reviews. I made a last-minute reservation, but I was able to participate without any issues. Although I made the mistake of being late for the meeting time, I truly appreciate the quick and generous response from the Veltra staff and the Hands Heedman staff that allowed me to join.

In the lesson, we first learn the basics of surfing through a slideshow. After that, we move to the beach for the actual lesson. All our belongings are stored in the office drawers. There are Japanese staff in the office, but communication during the beach lesson is primarily in English. However, they speak slowly, use body language, and even speak a little broken Japanese, so I think it's easy to understand.

For actual surfing, we use longboards, which provide a lot of stability. The instructor gives us instructions while pushing the board, allowing us beginners to stand up right from the start. We were able to catch waves multiple times after that. When I was able to ride properly, it felt amazing.

At the end, we rinsed off at the public shower on the beach and returned to the office. They also take photos during the surfing session. Great Trip... Saw turtles and Dolphins up close..and plenty of other marine life...all of the crew were exceptional... safety concious, engaging, and fun.. paticularly the Captain. Could tell he was experienced and loved what he was doing.. Will repeat this again, as I hsve been on this trip with other providers but didn’t have as good of experience..
