We, a group of five from our company trip to Hawaii, spent three nights and five days in Honolulu. Since we are close friends, we were excited even before departure. Once we arrived in Honolulu, we had a parade of requests about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to eat. Among those plans, we booked a North Shore tour for the second day of our trip, December 17 (Monday). The tour was coordinated by Kazu, who has lived in Hawaii for decades. The journey from Honolulu to the North Shore was filled with stories about the ongoing monorail development and quizzes about the Dole Pineapple Plantation.

Along the way, we had some time, so we stopped by a coffee farm, enjoyed complimentary coffee, and listened to stories about the mountains where Zero fighters flew during the Pearl Harbor attack, reflecting on the happiness after the war while gazing at the blue Hawaiian sky. After that, we enjoyed ice cream at the pineapple plantation and finally arrived at Haleiwa's Old Town on the North Shore. We soaked in the local atmosphere of Hawaii that we had always dreamed of. Kazu shared information about local food and the history of the shops, and we savored Hawaiian dishes of tuna and shrimp, leaving us satisfied.

This is where Kazu truly shined as our local guide! He informed us that a world championship was taking place at the North Shore, where surfers from around the world gather. We asked Kazu if he could drop us off at the competition venue, and off we went to the world championship site! It was exhilarating to see the North Shore's Pipeline, which we had only seen on TV, with our own eyes! Our close-knit group of five had a precious experience! I highly recommend everyone to join Kazu's tour at North Shore through VELTRA. A wonderful experience awaits you! ^^;

I was looking forward to this tour.
The horseback riding itself was enjoyable, but the tour guide, Kaz, was very businesslike. He only said what he needed to say (just explanations) and ignored us or responded coldly when we tried to say something. Even when I just wanted to confirm something as a first-time participant, he would say things like, "I just said that, didn't I?" with a laugh, and "That's why I'm asking."
When my child spoke a little loudly, he covered his ears, sighed, and told us to be quiet, saying that if we didn't keep it down, it would irritate the tour guide again. I ended up scolding my child out of frustration.

私さっき言いましたよね？鼻で笑って、だからそれを聞いてるんです。などと言われたり、
子どもがちょっと大きな声で話したら、耳を押さえられて、ため息ついて、静かにしてください、といわれ、静かにさせないとまたツアコンの方をいらつかせるなあと、私も子どもに叱りイライラ。
彼が子どもが嫌いなのはわかりましたが、道中どっと疲れました。
また子どもがウミガメを楽しみにしてることを伝えても、
寄りますけど、冬場はほとんどいないですよ
と、あっさり。15分で戻ってきて。と、草むらを突っ切って行けと言われて、雨上がりの草むらを歩いて靴はビシャビシャ。
乗馬後も、すぐに帰りますから！とだけ言われ、感想を聞くわけでもなく、時間がおしてる。
などと言ってきて、ツアコンの方の顔色伺がって、どっと疲れて帰ってきました。
10万円近いツアー代金を払っていたので本当に残念でした。こちらの会社は2度ど利用しないと思います。

He even took photos for us, and thanks to him, we had a very enjoyable time on the boat both while waiting for the kids' turn and after it was over! I signed up for parasailing. I chose this tour because it allows for more specific time slots compared to other tours, and the travel time is shorter. The initial scheduled date was canceled due to strong winds, but I received the cancellation notice early, so we were able to spend the day meaningfully without wasting time. We had the option to change the date or cancel, and we quickly chose to change the date! If you're considering a date change right before returning home, it can be difficult, so I recommend scheduling weather-dependent activities for the earlier part of your trip!

The explanation for parasailing was in English, but the consent form was in Japanese. We were paired with two other couples who were not Japanese. Since it was our first time, I was nervous about how we would ascend into the sky, but that feeling was only for a moment. We were soon soaring high above!

From the moment we went up, I was amazed by the beautiful scenery! It was breathtaking! The photos cost $30, but unlike some theme parks, you get 75 pictures on an SD card, which is a great deal. Since the photos are ones that can't be taken with a selfie stick, I decided to purchase them.

What a fantastic crew and experience. This was our first time using Mana Kai Catamaran and our first time snorkeling off Waikik and it won’t be the last. We had our two young girls with us and this was their first snorkeling in open ocean. The crew was so patient and understanding with us and helped us along through the whole experience. They stayed close to us and allowed them to rest on the surf board and really taught them how to look for turtles. We were able to see turtles and fish up close and it was amazing. After the snorkeling we went for a sailing experience and dolphins came right up to us and played with the boat. It was so fun and our daughters loved it so much. I would highly recommend this crew for snorkeling and we will use them again. Thank you guys so much.

The sunset, the night view, the expressions of Waikiki town, and the sight of the sun sinking on the horizon with buildings and many yachts were wonderful. Also, on this day, the wind was strong, and the waves were higher than usual for winter, but riding the music and the waves made it the best activity without feeling dizzy. I made a reservation as a reward for completing the Honolulu Marathon in December! I was worried about whether it would take place since it often rains during this time. When I arrived at the meeting point, there were a lot of people gathered. I thought it would be good to prepare the following: 1) a windbreaker or raincoat, 2) bottoms that I expected would get wet up to my knees, 3) personally, I wanted leg warmers that I wouldn't mind getting wet since my body would get cold in the second half, 4) I would take off my shoes, and 5) a plastic bag that I could carry diagonally over my shoulder to hold these items (there is storage available, but it might not be usable due to the large number of people). First, I showed my voucher at the nearby desk, then took off my sandals to enter the designated beach. Once the cruising started, the drink bar opened, and the staff served us. We moved to a point where we could enjoy the sunset, but during that time, they let us enjoy some surfing, so be careful of splashes and seasickness. By the way, motion sickness medication is sold at LAWSON in Sheraton Waikiki. After watching the sunset, we enjoyed the night view of Waikiki from the sea for a while. When we went, there were about half Japanese and half people from other countries. There were various people, some actively enjoying conversations and others quietly enjoying the scenery and drinks. In any case, it was a great experience!

12月のホノルルマラソンを完走したご褒美に！と予約しました。この時期、雨がよく降るので決行されるか心配でした。集合場所に行くとたくさん人が集まっていました。用意した方が良いと思ったのは①ウィンドブレーカー又はレインコート、②膝下が濡れると想定されたボトムスを着用、③後半、とにかく身体が冷えるので個人的には濡れても良いレッグウォーマーが欲しくなりました④靴は脱ぎます。⑤これらを入れて肩から斜めがけできるビニール袋（収納場所もあるけど人数が多くて使えない事もあります）。先ずはバウチャーを付近のデスクに見せてから、サンダルを脱いで専用のビーチに入場します。クルージングが始まるとドリンクバーがオープンし、スタッフがサービスしてくれます。途中、サンセットを楽しめるポイントに移動するのですが、その際波乗りを楽しませてくれるので、水飛沫、船酔いには注意です。因みに酔い止め薬はシェラトンワイキキホテルのLAWSONでも販売しています。日が沈むのを見たら次は沖から見えるワイキキの夜景をしばらく楽しみます。私達が行った時は日本人とそれ以外の国の方と半々くらいでした。積極的に会話を楽しまれる方、寡黙に景色とお酒を楽しむ方、様々です。いずれにせよ体験して良かったの一言です！

I participated in a lesson at 8:30 AM with one adult and one 6-year-old child. It was my first experience with surfing, and since I'm not a strong swimmer, I was quite nervous. I walked to Waikiki Beach to ensure I wouldn't be late for the meeting time, and I was immediately impressed by the wonderful location!

With my excitement building, the lesson began with a one-on-one session with an American trainer. He mixed in some broken Japanese and gave us simple explanations on the beach before we quickly grabbed our surfboards and headed to the ocean. Before I knew it, we started practicing standing on the board, following the American style of teaching.

Despite some failures and being guided by the trainer, I managed to stand up on the board. A photographer also entered the water and captured amazing footage, making the dream-like experience pass by in no time.

Even after returning home, I'm still excited while watching the footage. Thank you for the fun lesson!

I started with the canyon plan, but I was suddenly informed that horseback riding was canceled due to the muddy ground from the rain the day before and the rain on the day itself, which made it even more dangerous. However, I was quickly switched to a seaside horseback riding experience where the weather was nice, and I had an incredibly fun time.

Hiro, who was different from the initial staff, was amazing until the very end. Before we went horseback riding, the staff explained the precautions in English and detailed the process of getting on the horse, which was very easy to understand. As a first-timer, I felt reassured and was able to ride without any trouble. The horse was calm and well-behaved.

After riding, I learned about tipping, which is not common in Japan. I was told that if I enjoyed the experience, I should hand over a certain amount of dollars at the end, so I was able to do that smoothly.

During lunch, I made a phone reservation to ensure we could eat as soon as the restaurant opened, and by the time we arrived, our orders were ready. Hiro also provided us with unique experiences that we wouldn't find elsewhere until just before we parted ways.

I know I've written a lot, but I truly believe that the quality of the tour was largely due to the role of the tour coordinator. Although I suddenly switched from the more expensive canyon horseback riding plan to the more affordable seaside option, thanks to Hiro, I had a really enjoyable day. Of course, the difference in price for the plans was refunded the next day.

渓谷プランでスタートしましたが、乗馬は突然の中止（前日の雨で山の地面がぬかるんでいた上に当日も雨が降ったので尚更危険な状態となった）を言い渡されました。が、しかし即、天気の良かった海辺の乗馬に入れ込んでもらい
超楽しい時間を過ごせました。
最初のスタッフと変わったHiroさん、最後の最後まで最高でしたよ。
乗馬に行く前には、乗馬のスタッフは英語で注意事項を喋るからと、こんなことの説明があるとかの馬に乗るまでの流れ等々を詳細に話してくれました。非常に分かりやすく、初体験の私も安心して苦労することなく乗馬できました。
馬も大人しく、行儀も良かったですよ。
乗馬後は、日本には無いチップについて、こういう訳で、楽しかったと思たら◯ドルを最後に手渡してあげてくださいと馬場に向かう車内て教えてもらっていたので、すんなり手渡すこともできました。
昼食時には、開店と同時に食べられるように、注文を各人に聞いて店に電話予約、店に着いた頃には、本当に注文した食事ができている状態でした。他にもヒロさんには、他では味わえないことを解散直前までやってもらいました。
長々書き込んでいますが、ツアーの内容が良かったと感じるのは、やはり同行するツアーコーディネーターの役割が100%ですね
値段の高い渓谷乗馬プランから、安めの海辺乗馬に突然なりましたが、ヒロさんのおかげで、本当に楽しい一日を過ごせました。
当然、プランの値段に対する差額は、翌日に戻ってきました。

It was much more fun than I had imagined!
Turning off the engine and moving with the power of the wind felt really nice.
It was enjoyable to sail through the blue sea before sunset and to see Diamond Head, and the sunset was, of course, beautiful.
The two staff members always kept the atmosphere lively, making it a fun experience throughout.

Points to note:
- Depending on where you sit, you might get splashed by the waves (if you don't sit at the edge, you won't get wet at all).
- Since it was December, it got cold after sunset, so having a jacket like a hoodie would be a good idea.

Had a great time on the cruise with my friend and her family! Everyone couldn’t wait for the all you can eat crab legs! Once we took off everyone was having a awesome time watching the scenic view as we ate and later walked around. The kids we having so much fun watching the entertaining dancers then even more fun when they got to dance too! The crew, the food & the entertainment were amazing!
