I had a great time. Honestly, one of the highlights of my trip. I met some awesome people on the cruise. The only suggestion I would make is to have it be like a real bar in which people can drink what they want. There wasn’t a good variety of drinks for $60 per person but it was still an awesome experience. However the staff had great customer service skills and I’m all about that. Austin the bartender was dope! The most I’ve ever tipped a bartender in my life.

I hesitated because the reviews were mixed, but since it's Mandara Spa, I decided to go. I wanted to relax by the pool, so I arrived an hour before check-in time, checked in, and lounged by the poolside. After that, I used the steam sauna and jet bath, and enjoyed some fruit.

About 10 minutes before my treatment time, I was called by the staff and guided to the upper floor. I was taken to the room by the spa staff. They provided information about the options: hot stone for $20 and head oil for $20.

I chose the 40-minute massage plus 40-minute Lomi Lomi for a total of 80 minutes. The massage was very good.

I read the reviews on Veltra thoroughly and participated in the 150m experience. I'm not good with amusement park roller coasters and try to avoid them as much as possible, so I was a bit worried, but looking at the distant scenery made it less scary and quite enjoyable. The weather was nice, and Diamond Head and the town of Waikiki were very beautiful. My children, who are in 6th grade and 1st year of middle school, also seemed to have a great time. The boat was rocking, and the kids got seasick, so I think it's better to take motion sickness medication. The captain was cheerful, but due to language barriers, I couldn't understand much of what he was saying in English. Still, he entertained us with gestures, and I appreciated his consideration for the seasick kids. We tipped $20 for our family of four.

It was my first time in Hawaii and my first whale watching experience. Towards the end of the cruise, I finally saw a couple of small, cute spouts and just a glimpse of one tail. It seems some people missed the tail. During the cruise, they provided commentary about the whales and the scenery, which kept us entertained. We also got to see a big rainbow after a light rain, so that was a nice bonus.

My first winter in Hawaii, and I was really looking forward to whale watching. It rained and was a bit cold for Hawaii, so at first, we could only catch glimpses of the whales. However, the captain extended our time a bit, and then, ta-da!!! From that point on, we were amazed as mother and baby whales leaped out of the water, making us feel like we were seeing dolphins! It was truly thrilling. We also learned hula dancing on the way back on the boat, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Hawaii! Next time, I want to go dolphin watching. Thank you!

I went in January, and it was a bit chilly, so I think those participating in the winter should bring a thicker jacket, like a hoodie, instead of just a cardigan to enjoy without worrying about the cold. Perhaps due to the family discount, there were many foreign families with children, creating a lively atmosphere that felt like being on a kindergarten field trip. After lunch, I noticed some adults who had been moved by the whale sightings were taking naps. Since we cruised from 11:30 AM until after 2 PM, it seemed some adults were getting bored.

We entered from the first floor and had to move between the second and third floors via stairs. When I asked about how wheelchair users would manage, I was told they would have to stay on the first floor. The lunch menu included ham, cheese, fruit, lettuce and tomato for mini hamburgers, and slices of roast beef. Cookies were also provided. Coffee was $1, and alcoholic drinks were $10.

My little family of 3 took a much-needed, very rare vacation for six days on Oahu, and on the final day scheduled an afternoon sailing cruise. Unfortunately our 22yo daughter was ill and unable to go along with the two of us on the Catamaran, and we were unable to get a refund for her ticket. However, I did not regret a penny we spent on the ride. The captain and crew were entertaining, and kept the beverages flowing along with the banter. They were non-intrusive when we just wanted to enjoy the view and ride, and wonderfully instructive when there were sights to see and safety precautions to take. We loved every minute, and wanted it to last much longer than it did, even though we are not boat-out-on-open-water people at all. Thank you for a wonderful end to our vacation!

Great day for whale watching!

We were very lucky to see whales throughout most of the tour. At least 10 sightings, usually with 2 whales at a time.

Food was delicious but it was hard to sit and enjoy your meal when you are looking for whales too. Every time someone shouted "WHALE!", everyone dropped everything but their cameras and ran towards the edge of the deck.

Luckily, there were a lot of whales out that day so I got to finish my food and saw plenty of whales.

Photos don't do justice for whale watch tours, it's better to watch with your own eyes. You don't want to be fussing over your camera because next thing you know, the whales have disappeared back underwater.

Wonderful experience, would love to go again!

The skies were grey and even with light drizzle the humpback whales were there along with the warm crew of the Star of Honolulu to greet us in Hawaii! I've never seen so many whales on one whale watch and it was my first time to see a turquoise color right next to the whale. Their white pectoral fins turns changes color underwater so it was easier to spot them this time around. The lunch on board was delicious...... The roast beef and those macadamia nut cookies keeps you going back for more. Thank you Star of Honolulu for a very stable ride and wonderful experience to see these enormous animals up so close!

We experienced this as a couple. As soon as we arrived, we were able to board the boat without waiting. There were a total of four groups on the boat. Right after boarding, we were given life jackets and headed out to sea! It was cloudy, so it was cold until we got out to the open water—I regretted not bringing a long-sleeve rash guard, but once we were up in the air, I forgot all about the cold and had so much fun! The 150-meter height and the duration of the flight were longer compared to others, and I didn't feel much fear at all. I had confirmed the photo service for $30 from previous experiences, and I was glad I ordered it because I received photos that I couldn't take myself! The tip and photo service payment are separate, so it's a good idea to bring some small change. You can return within two hours, making it a great way to use your morning or afternoon—highly recommended!

They provide transportation to the hotel. You will go to the destination with other people. We were in a two-person ride, but three-person rides are also possible. There were some individuals who came alone, and in that case, they will fly with another solo rider. I'm not good with heights, but I intentionally chose to go up to 150 meters. Looking down was a bit scary, but it was totally fine. They also fulfilled the promise of a splash in the sea (in my case, I was dropped quite deep). The staff were cheerful, and it was a lot of fun. The scenery was great, and it was truly the best!

I joined on January 24th (Thursday) because I wanted to see whales. Unfortunately, on this day, the whales only showed themselves briefly above the water. We were able to see them six times, but each time they only appeared for about 5 to 6 seconds after spouting water, revealing a bit of their backs, and finally showing their tails above the water before diving down. Like other reviews, I wasn't able to see them jump high.

Aside from the whales, dolphins jumped right next to the boat. They didn't perform the typical front flips you see at aquariums, but instead, they showed us two sideways twists like gymnast Kohei Uchimura.

After the boat left the port, it rained lightly for about ten minutes, and after taking shelter on the third deck, when we returned to the rooftop, a rainbow appeared across the sea, 180 degrees opposite the sun. Since we were on the water, there was nothing to obstruct the rainbow, creating a stunning view of vibrant colors from one side of the water to the other.

3 of us decided we wanted to do something different rather than having dinner at a nice restaurant, and this combination dinner and cruise fit the bill. The food was excellent, both the steak and the crab legs were fabulous, and we had an awesome view from our window-adjacent table. The entertainment on board was amusing, it added a great vibe to the dinner. The duration of the cruise from start to finish was just right - enough time to have a leisurely dinner, enjoy a show, watch the fireworks, and then return back to land. Just perfect, I highly recommend!

I have also participated in a sunset cruise on a large ship, but this one allows you to enjoy the sunset all to yourself, so I am really satisfied! It was a tour with many foreigners, but it was okay even if I couldn't speak any English at all. (The guidance was all in English, and I could hardly understand it, but I managed somehow.) The crew were great but it was a really long slow boat ride out to the fishing spot. People started off really well catching fish, but we probably only stayed in that spot for around 15mins before moving to another, and then another. The final spot which we probably spent about 30mins in, only about 3 fish were caught in that time. Most of the fish caught were not edible either. The kids got sick from eating the sausage they served for lunch, as did a few other people and no it wasn’t sea sickness because we’ve been on boats plenty and never had an issue. There were also around 30 or more people on board, so a bit crowded. The highlight probably would have been the scenery and the turtles we saw.

Parasailing over the ocean was amazing. The tour guides were cheerful and kind, which was great. Although it was 120 meters, I was satisfied that I was able to go up high. I only fell into the water with my lower body, so my face didn't get splashed, which was nice. I was able to enjoy a panoramic view of the Hawaiian scenery, and it became a wonderful memory.

We went to our destination not just by ourselves but also with others on the same boat. It was my first time parasailing, and since I wanted to make the most of it, I decided to choose the plan that goes up to the highest point, 150 meters. When I actually did it, the height was quite significant. Of course, individual experiences may vary, but I found it very enjoyable and didn't feel scared at all. The view of the scenery and the ocean from above is amazing! Right before the end, they even give you a little splash in the sea! Your face probably won't get wet! This is definitely one activity I want to do again if I get the chance!

自分達だけでなく他の方と同じボートで目的地に行きます。送迎の方やパラセーリングを担当してくれた方も凄く気さくでテンションも自然と上がります！初めてパラセーリングしたのですが、せっかくなので1番高くまで上がるプランにしようと考え150mを選びました。実際やってみるとかなり高さはあります。個人差はもちろんあると思いますが、私はとても楽しく怖さはありませんでした。上から見る景色や海は最高です！終わり間際に海ポチャも軽くしてくれます！顔までは多分濡れません！
