Skydiving was something I had always wanted to try. Since I wanted to do it, I decided to do it in the breathtaking scenery of Hawaii. There was a bit of a delay at the reception, but the staff were very kind and helpful. The instructor was humorous, and it was perfectly fine not to speak any English.

When it was time to jump, there was no hesitation; I was quickly falling out of the plane, regardless of my own will. I felt no fear at all; it was just amazing. After the parachute opened, we made several turns, which caused quite a bit of G-force and made me feel a bit nauseous. I felt a little sick for a while after landing.

Video and photo shooting is a must.

I was really looking forward to skydiving. My daughter was scared and reluctant, but we decided to try it at least once as an experience. We signed up for the 8 AM session and woke up at 5 AM to catch the free shuttle bus at 6:40 AM.

We arrived in an hour and operated the iPad. There was a Japanese staff member at the reception who was very polite and helpful. We included a video in our plan, but it only covered the tandem with a handheld camera, and the outside shots taken by another person were not included. I debated about it, but ultimately decided to include the outside shots as well.

The moment we jumped, the free fall offered the best view. The person outside was also smiling and filming. Once the parachute opened, we spun around. It was so much fun!

We received the link to the photos and videos on the same day. Watching them was super enjoyable. My daughter was so excited! It was the best experience!

I thought waking up early would be tough, but the sunrise from Diamond Head is worth the early wake-up! They also handle reservations, which makes it easy. They teach you about the area while driving around. They took us to a great place for the popular malasada donuts, so we didn't have to wait and could eat them right away! They also recommend good lunch spots and share which ones are not so great (laughs). I had the rare experience of cracking and eating nuts myself. In Haleiwa, we bought limited edition products and enjoyed delicious food. We had so much fun that we almost ran out of time.

It was an English-guided tour, but our driver, Chris, could speak Japanese as his grandparents were from Naha, Okinawa. The bus was a large one with a restroom in the back, but there were only four participants, including myself, which made it very comfortable.

On the way to Dole Plantation, we could enjoy sightseeing from the bus window, including the statue of King Kamehameha. At Dole Plantation, we had 90 minutes of free time, and in Haleiwa, we had just over two hours. It's nice to have the freedom to explore Haleiwa at my own pace and eat lunch wherever I like, rather than being on a tightly scheduled tour.

The meeting point was in front of Ross Dress for Less on Seaside Avenue, but on the way back, Chris dropped us off near our hotel. Thank you, Chris!

We got to enjoy Giovanni's famous garlic shrimp (and beer, since I wasn't driving!), explore Sunset Beach and Haleiwa, and savor local coffee at Green World Coffee Farm.
