I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting the island for the first time. As long as the pick-up bus gets started, the tour is a fun and enjoyable one while learning a great deal about the history of Pearl Harbor. Tour guide was excellent.

An outstanding tour. We did the "Explorers' Tour" which was fascinating and John, our guide, was brilliant. A once in a lifetime opportunity to see the workings of a battleship and see what our brave men had to endure with 'life on board'.

I just want to say this was one of the most enjoyable, educational tours we've taken. 'Mr. Bill' our guide was very informative and had a sense of humor. I would recommend the full Explorer tour to everyone, you learn so much. As my father was on the USS Colorado for twenty years and I always wanted to know what life was really like during the war on one of these beautiful ships. It is really hard to imagine what our boys went through during WWII and have great admiration for all those that served.

The tour can't be called fun, but i can say "don't miss it". It's very informative, quite solemn (the Arizona portion) and something i think every visitor should take in. It was well organized, good timing, and did everything we hoped it would.

Pearl Harbor-Battleship Missouri Tour. I had randomly chosen this tour as a last-minute activity before we visited Honolulu. It was a wonderful surprise to have a very knowledgeable individual tour guide. The additional spaces we we able to visit on the ship were awesome and it was indeed worth price of admission.

This was worthwhile. Guide was helpful, informative, friendly. One drawback - necessary time limitations; if you really want to be leisurely about the visit, tour the museum using the audio guide ($5 price, not part of Hawaiiactivities.com), shop the store at your pace, etc., it may be better to drive yourself to the site. If that's not your objective, then this tour is perfect. The tour of Honolulu afterward was very enjoyable, giving bits of history and current news.

My father fought in WWII in Italy, my brother was stationed off the coast of Vietnam for two tours, and my son is now serving in Iraq. To say the least the tour of the USS Missouri and the viewing of Pearl Harbor was emotional...just thinking about all who fought for our freedom and all who gave their life. Thank you for preserving history.

The navy treats the arizona memorial as a cemetary, and most of the guests do the same. Some people feel the need to ruin it for everyone else by talking loudly, but besides them, there is a definate feeling of patriotism onboard the memorial. The city tour was fact filled and interesting.

What an amazing tour this was. They first take you out to Pearl Harbor where the war was started and you watch the movie about the start of the war, and then you take a boat trip out the memorial which tugs at the heart strings. After pearl Harbor they take you out to USS Missouri where the war ended. You can even see the spot where the surrender was signed. We ate lunch there in the galley, neat experience. Finally we stopped at punchbowl cemetery and looked around. We got some incredible views of the City. Finally they took us on a small sightseeing tour of the city with some fun stories about the history. Great tour! I loved every minute.

Booked directly with Roberts Hawaii prior to coming to Hawaii, the tour guide was great, he told us what not to take to much time on and how everything worked. We only had one problem when we went to the second ship USS missouri, we had a tour guide from the ship and people that were NOT a part of the tour started to join our group which caused our group to become huge by the end and we only had 10 minutes to either eat or see anything else they had, so we missed out on the simulator which the girls really wanted to partake in. Next time I would suggest that you have your own specific tour guide, with colored stickers for the people that are with that tour so that the tour guide can distinguish who paid for this private tour and who did not, as we should not be waiting on people that decided to go at it by themselves and then join a tour which they did not pay for. Other than that, the girls 15 & 17 learned alot and were quite impressed with the whole tour itself. I would suggest th

Visiting Pearl Harbor is a very solemn experience embedded in history and displayed for future generations in an eloquent, respectful, and informative manner.
I would definitely recommend this tour to others with the suggestion that those going do so in the morning and as there usually is quite a line to get in. However, the tour is well worth it. You can actually imagine what it would have been like to experience the fateful event. The dignified proceedings allow one to truly reflect upon the historic happenings of Dec. 7th, 1941, without an atmosphere of hopelessness.

We really enjoyed this tour. Definitely rent the audio recording of the Pearl Harbor exhibit once you get to the Pearl Harbor visitor center. It greatly enhanced the experience. After Pearl Harbor we toured the USS Missouri. What an experience! The tour guide we had on the USS Missouri was great at verbally drawing pictures and explaining what it was like when the Japanese surrendered. Doing both the Pearl Harbor (USS Arizona) and the USS Missouri tours was great because you got to see what marked the beginning and the end of war.

We had wished for more time to tour the various places (especially the Arizona and Missouri). Though she had kept us on time during the day, we felt a little shorted at these attractions. The city tour was nice as was punchbowl, but time could have been compressed here to afford more time at the Arizona or Missouri. We never made it to the US Army museum as indicated in the itinerary. We did end the day earlier than we had anticipated. Our tour guide was excellent and she knew a lot of information that was helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed her comments and attitude. I understand that it is often hard to predict if people will be on time or not and therefore you need to plan accordingly, however as we were all on time most of the day, I think things could have been adjusted.

Tour of the City afterwards was great and we took the option to be dropped off at Hilo Hatties. Great Hawaiian Store.
