Mario was an excellent bus/tour driver! I would definitely recommend getting a longer tour that allows for the USS Missouri tour. A Sunday tour was the best - least amount of traffic, which allowed for more time at Pearl Harbor. Mario also allowed us out of the bus to take pictures at the King Kamehameha statue.

We waited 45 mins. to be picked up at our pick-up location. The driver did not give any explanation or apologize for the delay. When we arrived at the entrance to the Arizona Memorial, he found it would be about 1 1/2 hours before we would be able to actually go to the Memorial. He debated about waiting that long and then suggested we go to the Missouri first. After debating back & forth about that, he finally decided to do that. As soon as he started driving to the Missouri, he expressed concern about getting back at the required time for our tickets for the Arizona. It certainly didn't make us feel very confident. As a result of all this, I believe we were shorted time at both locations. This was our first and probably only trip to Pearl Harbor. We really wanted to experience it in the order in which events occurred - The Arizona and then the Missouri.

It was well organized and fun tour. The tour guide was funny and friendly and gave enough time to see around and take pictures. In fact he ended up showing up some places which were not on the tour and still managed to finish the tour on time. I highly recommend this tour.

I had an amazing day at Pearl Harbor. I didn´t go to the USS memorial because I don´t like boats. But instead I went on the USS Bowfin a fantastic experience. The USS Missouri battleship was awesome ! And it is so big, you need to set good time for this activiti so you can enjoy everything. And take the guided tours, they are really great. Also a big hand for the busdriver that day, Cathrine. She was great, smiling, happy, talked with everybody and maked all of us smiling. I was the only one who did the big tour in Pearl Harbor that day. On the way back she drove through Punchbowl and China town, really sweet and an exstra service for me. Fantastic day.

We had such an enjoyable tour of Pearl Harbor and the rest of the island! Our tour guide, Hana, was extremely knowledgeable and provided many extra bits of information as we were driving. We had some bus trouble and Hana handled it in a completely professional and very quick manner. Overall I would recommend this tour to anyone. We absolutely loved it and it is a great way to see the island without renting a car.

As this was my first visit to Oahu and Hawaii, I wanted to see as much as I possibly could. This tour did was great! We saw much of the island with a few stops here and there. Some of the things we saw were merely through the bus window, but being able to see so much of the island in one day was wonderful. I would recommend doing this tour near the beginning of your trip so if there is anything you find particularly interesting, you can go back. Pearl Harbor was amazing. This is a good tour if you only want a couple hours there.
Our tour guide was excellent! He was very knowledgeable about the locations we visited, friendly and shared many interesting folklore stories during the tour.

Excellent from start to finish, our guide was so entertaining we had a wonderful time, he was full of information about anything you wished to know about, but also talented when it came to telling the odd joke and impressive when he sang, he got the whole coach full of strangers in the morning becoming friends by the end of the trip. This adventure was first class and I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone of all ages, there was something for everyone to enjoy with plenty of stops for photo opportunities or just marvel at the outstanding scenery.

Travelling with my 15yo girl & 10yo boy we had some reservation as to whether they would enjoy this tour. What can I say it was awesome. Duke our tour guide (and owners son) made the day completely enjoyable, upbeat, interesting (even to non Americans) and nothing was to much trouble. We only had about 20 people of this tour so was very personal and comprehensive. An early start meant we beat the crowds at Arizona and Duke's personal knowledge made for an even better tour.
Basically if you want to do a military tour - YOU MUST DO THIS !!!!!!!!
Don't worry about Missouri & Bowfin (they require another full day) these can be done another day. This tour takes you onto the military bases and gives a genuine insight as to what they are like.
Aloha to the Aus Family,
Thank you for responding with such an excellent review. We appreciate your support. Duke's passionate about his work. We continue each and every day to keep history alive at Home of the Brave. We are happy that your family enjoyed your day with us!

I have taken ALOT of tours in my day, and this is by far one of the best I have ever taken. From the minute I got into the (very nice and very CLEAN) charter, the guide, Duke (who just happens to be the son of the owner!) just MADE the day. He was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable of the rich history surrounding both Pearl Harbor and WWII in general.
Throughout the tour, he used humor and wit to share fascinating REAL stories of actual soldiers and events to really make this time in history come alive to all on board. I was just so impressed.
This tour was so much better organized than most other tours I have been on, yet they somehow managed to not make me feel like cattle being herded and pushed around....although we had a schedule to stick to, I never once felt rushed or hurried...it was such an enjoyable day. Duke had a great balance of giving us time on our own to look around the sites and exhibits (rather than treating us like children) yet he was always

We had such an amazing tour guide. He was so informative about the island in general. He talked about all kinds of plants, animals, history of the island, celebrities, hot tourist and local spots, restaraunts, activities, and pearl harbor. He was a walking Hawaiian encyclopedia. Every question we asked he was able to answer. He even had a notebook of pictures just incase he needed to show us something not found on the tour. The tour was an all day event that seemed short. Before we knew it the time creeped up and our tour was coming to an end. His name was Ken and I would take that tour again only with him. My whole family learned so much and throughout our vacation we were able to answer all of our other tours questions and they were so impressed; that was the best part.

We just came back from our Hawaii vacation and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It started off in Pearl Harbor which is just amazing and a very powerful experience. We then continued onto Dole Pineapple plantation (make sure you try a Dole Whip) and the North Shore. We then continued onto other amazing sites along the western side of the island, including lunch on a secluded area on the water. Our tour guide was hilarious, and just an all around great guy who really added to the experience. I can't wait to go back to Hawaii to take the tour again. I would recommend this to anyone who is going to Oahu for a vacation.

The tour was a great use of our time on the island. It does take an entire day though so be prepared for that. Pearl Harbor was great, there was no question on where we needed to be and when. If you want a full look at the Pearl Harbor site (submarine and all) you should plan more time to go back or do this part separately.
Our tour guides were friendly, helpful, and funny. They kept our attention the whole day with lots of great tidbits about the island. The tour was awesome. We got to see where filmings happened and which beaches were great for which activities. It was awesome. I wish we had done this tour on our first day of the island instead of toward the end of our trip.
I would definitely recommend the full circle and not just the north shore tour. There is so much more you get to see in the last couple hours. I can hardly wait to go back and use all the information!
I would definitely recommend!

Initially, we were told that we were unable to tour the Arizona until 30 minutes before we needed to check out of our hotel. Our driver, Cousin Jerry, saved the day. He walked up to the ticket booth and obtained tickets for my entire family for a tour three hours earlier. This gave us plenty of time to tour the Arizona and Honolulu and have lunch. He really went the extra mile for us!

The main benefit in this tour was to have someone else stand in line and get the tickets and drive around. The Arizona memorial and Missouri tours are handled basically self tours. My favorite portion was the oral history as told by our guide, Cousin Jerry. This was too short. I wish I had heard more from him.
