Friendly and helpful crew members, and great communication from the captain when we encountered some dolphins.
I enjoyed the pulled pork for the lunch. Very fresh.
The snorkels they provided were way better than what you get at ABC stores for $10. Very easy to breath with, and I never got water inside the snorkel.
They provided great floatation devices. Noodles and belts. Made it easy to focus on watching the under-water world.
Cons:
Too much time spent on the way. I would like to spent ~30min more in the water.
Tips:
Bring your own disinfectant wipes to further clean the snorkel if you are concerned.
You can rent a GoPro on the boat to take video/photos under water. I tried water-proof bag with my cellphone, but it didn't work well.

Best Day Excursion!
Reviewed by: Shirley , 2022/06/26My family and I had the best experience. From the moment we stepped onto the boat, the crew was very attentive, friendly, and funny. They provided a great overview of the day activities and what we needed. They checked on us frequently and even provided a little history lesson on the nearby islands. We took about 1 hr boat ride over to Lanai. Once at Lanai, it was a 7 minute walk to the beach. The beach was amazing!!! We did some snorkeling, a short nature walk, and had some time to chill at the beach. The BBQ LUNCH was delicious! The boat ride back we enjoyed 2 cocktails and ice cream. The crew exceeded our expectations. I would definitely do this again! I felt like VIP. Book it! You won’t regret it

Lanai Full Day Trip

The exclusive rights to the island that other tour companies do not have is what makes this company one of a kind!! They take you to a "private" beach and allow you to snorkel, hike, and provide a breakfast and lunch! There were other companies snorkeling around reefs but this company actually takes you onto the island!! We HIGHLY recommend! Captain Raquel and her crew were fantastic!

A Fun Snorkeling Experience for Everyone

They had 2 spots, I would have preferred just staying at the first stop, as there was less to see at the second, and the swim back to the boat was tiring at the second stop. I recommend using a flotation belt instead of a noodle. I also recommend taking Dramamine for the ride there and back.
Overall a fun time and we saw a lot of beautiful sea life!

My only disappointment was that we did not circle around Shipwreck Bay to see the tankers. Apparently its no longer part of the excursion. Overall I would recommend.

Unforgettable
Reviewed by: Kamille, 2022/05/08It's called a snorkel tour but that title really falls short of everything involved. We had not one but two dolphin sightings. I'm not saying we saw a couple of them in the far distance. They were swimming right beside us, and there were literally dozens upon dozens of them jumping and spinning above the water. The beach at Lanai is peaceful and exclusive. The team set up games and activities for everyone to enjoy. Yes there's snorkeling but they are not assuming that everyone is into that. You wanna chill on the beach? You wanna play giant Jenga with the fam? You wanna walk up a nature trail? All covered. The short trail up to the cliff side is indescribable. After all of that they feed you a freshly prepared bbq lunch and they make certain that you don't leave hungry. The servers came by a half dozen times to make sure that everyone had enough food. I took the 630am tour in anticipation of afternoon winds because I tend to get motion sickness. I am not a morning person at all but considering the perfect conditions I had no regrets. The crew was attentive, friendly and considerate. I don't eat meat and I avoid gluten. I stupidly forgot to mention that in my booking, but they were still able to accommodate me on the spot with no hassle or judgement. If you've read this far and you still haven't booked, you'll be missing out on one of the best tours the island offers.

Adventure on Lanai

Aside from the wonderfully planned experiences, such as snorkeling a hike up to see Puu Pehe and a delicious lunch, we were met with extraordinary surprises as well! We were greeted by whales and dolphins! The voyage from Maui to Lanai was very enjoyable. The scenery of the ocean and islands around us, as well as the service on board with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The snorkeling was AMAZING.

The timing of everthing was correct. The snorkelling was over at the correct time for the meal, the meal was great and appropriate for the day
The weather was perfect, and we even saw a whale breach in the way back.

Snorkel and Beach Day trip to Lanai
Reviewed by: Jerry, 2022/04/10The day with the Trilogy people was amazing. We had great weather with little wind for the trip over to the island. We were able to pick a pod of dolphins along the south shore of Lanai. Captain Raquel and her crew on April 8 onboard Trilogy IV took care of everything. They were active to check on everyone to be sure that all were doing well. Beach time on Lanai was incredible. Snorkel time over the reef in the middle of the bay allowed lots of fish viewing time. Crew was active to assist everyone into the water and was watchful as we were in the water to stay safe. Plantation lunch was excellent and was served comfortably in the Pavilion. Our return trip was comfortable in spite of the waves being more vigorous.
We have been to Lanai with other companies. Captain Raquel and her crew delivered incredible service and made the day very enjoyable.
Leave early to avoid traffic issues even if arriving for the 6:00AM check in. We parked in the Republic lot on Dickenson and had a short walk to the check in area.

Amazing experience!

They took us to amazing shallow reefs off of Lanai and there were no other boats around at all. Saw sea turtles and octopus. They also made sure to get us to see whales and since it's late March, they were everywhere. We followed some pods and got to see them go under the boat. Incredibly professional as well, helpful for getting gear on for those we have never snorkeled before. Wetsuits available for rental which was great to use in the water since it gets cold after a while. Breakfast, nonalcoholic drinks, snacks available, BYOB and you can store stuff in their huge cooler.

From the minute we stepped on the boat, we had a great time - the crew was great, the food was great, and we really liked being able to dock on Lanai and snorkel from the beach. We took part in the SNUBA activity and then hiked afterwards. It was great to have the lawn chairs, sun mats, sunscreen, and snorkel gear readily available as well.
The lunch provided at Trilogy's dock-side pavilion was fresh-cooked and delicious.
Our trip back to Maui was great with lots of whales sightings and we were able to stop periodically to watch them. We bought the photo package offered and whale photos were part of the package.
We would definitely recommend this snorkel tour!

Great sailing trip to Lanai!

We did the Snuba when we got to Lanai and Shamus did a great job working with everyone and keeping things safe. Courtney, Shamus and Clay were great on the boat keeping us entertained and personally served everyone.
We saw whales, flying fish and some whitecaps which made for an adventurous trip back.

Great experience
Reviewed by: Osidemike, 2021/12/18This was one of the highlights of our trip to Maui. The adventure began about 7 AM, on time, and we were shuttled to the boat in a small dinghy with the boarding of the small shuttle being an interesting and fun experience. The captain and crew provide everything that is needed to have a great time including snorkel and mask and fins. Wetsuit tops are available. Flotation devices were available if needed. In fact it is best not to bring too much equipment since boarding the dinghy may cause some of your belongings to get a bit wet. Willow, the captains mate, gave us a safety talk and off we went on our adventure to Lanai. The two dive spots were wonderful. We were able to do some spectacular whale watching on our way to the dive spots and on our return trip. Snacks and drinks were perfect. All in all this was a well run adventure and one of the high points of the trip was Willow with her bubbly personality and friendly demeanor. My spouse and I recommend this trip highly for both experienced snorkelers and beginners. At the end of the journey we left a well-deserved gratuity since we were so impressed with the entire operation. We are sure that, if you take this trip with Kaanapali ocean adventures, you will be thrilled with the entire experience just as we were. As a final note, the adventure begins early in the morning. There is parking available at every hotel that is free and is identified as “beach access parking“. There are only about 20 spots available at each hotel but, since the adventure begins so early in the morning, we had no trouble finding these free parking spots. If you park in the parking structure the cost of a days worth of parking is around $40. In addition, the organization will send a text the day before the trip to inform you of items you need to bring and specific instructions on where to meet.

Fantastical!!

The crew served everything. There was plenty to go around. They were all like a well oiled machine working in harmony to get everyone taken care of. The snorkeling was really nice because it wasn't crowded. We had the whole cove to ourselves. The hike was just right. The ride back was a wild one thanks to the wind. They had even supplied supplies at lunch like ginger and dramamine for sea sickness. I give them 5 stars. Best tour I have ever been on. Thanks to you all.

For being a group excursion, we were pleasantly surprised with how fun and completely relaxing this day was! We only wish it could have been longer… but next time, we’ll sign up for that. Unbelievable Experience

Not only did we see schools of beautiful fish at each reef, we were able to swim with sea turtles at the second location. As we were leaving, pods of spinner dolphins surrounded us which was a once in a lifetime experience. The captain and her first mate were friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and had a fantastic sense of humor! The lunch that was provided was also outstanding! I would HIGHLY recommend this trip to anyone!!!!

Reviewed by: Ann T, 2021/08/19Captain Cary and Shannon are a mighty crew of 2! Cary is a good Texas boy who has lived on Maui for many years… But that Texas hospitality shines through! The man is packed with personality, and genuinely loves his job. He and Shannon both shared so many fun facts and interesting details during our trip. They packed lunch and breakfast for everyone which were outstanding and could not have been friendlier nicer or more accommodating the entire time start to finish! When our original destination was less than ideal he explained to the passengers why it would be in our best interest to go someplace else and he was exactly right! I’ve never encountered more knowledgeable or happy go lucky and fun loving captain. The boat is small so you will have lots of time to interact with Cary and Shannon and he will get more time in the water than on any other cruise. They know where to look for all the things you want to see… You will not be disappointed. If you only book one thing on Maui book this charter!!!

Best Birthday Ever

I have always wanted to go to Lanai so my friends booked this Birthday excursion. Captain Casey and his crew exceeded our expectations!
From the moment we check in and got on board the beautiful catamaran we were treated like VIPs. The hot cinnamon rolls, breakfast sandwiches, and fruit and were delicious.
As we came into the pristine Lanai Harbor the crew again were amazing in escorting us to the bay to snorkel. They made sure we has sunscreen and were constantly insuring our safety in and out of the water. We also purchased the photo package and I will always cherish the amazing above and below water professional photos.
We headed to the Harbor Pavilion for a hot lunch cooked and served by the crew. It was so good we had ate until we could not chew anymore.
Sailing back in to Lahaina was almost as fun as snorkeling. The crew were professional yet so fun! Hoisting the sail we glided across the ocean with cold drinks in our hand.
I can not express what a delight it was to be with the Crew of the Trilogy! I will never forget my Best Birthday Ever!

Snorkeling was good...ride and time on boat was not good.

However, I don't understand the need to keep everyone on the boat and do another 30 minute talk on the mic while we're all dying in the sun waiting to get in the water. Then we're excused to go in the water and another 30 minutes or more go by before you can get in the water because everyone is now in line to put their gear on and get in. It's very time consuming.
The 30 minutes of talking on the mic once we're docked was a bit much and over the top.
I don't feel the customer or their interests were a priority.

Lanai Morning Snorkeling Cruise & Dolphin Encounter - Quicksilver Catamaran
Great family experience!
Reviewed by: White Family, 2021/07/24Great boat, great team, great vibe. Our entire group loved our experience and would highly recommend it. The snorkeling was really good, but the team on the boat from the Captain to everyone else in their roles were all super fun. The kids loved the slide and the platform to jump off. Good and drinks were good too. The pictures we purchased turned out nice. Thanks for the experience!
