Reviewed by: Bernie Morse, 2024/03/09We had an outstanding adventure with Des on this excursion! She was so knowledgeable about Maui and kept a close eye on all of us in case we were struggling. Everyone loved her!
The only thing I would stress is that you need to be in shape to do this hike. The altitude can be an issue as it was a lot harder to do these two hikes but the scenery is incredible!

The first half was kayaking and snorkeling which was so fun—Jeremiah (Miah) was a knowledgeable and patient instructor. The second half was lunch and then a water fall hike with Nick from HikeMaui—Nick was a kind and intelligent guide and taught us so much about Maui. We also toured a farm and learned a lot about fruits and botany grown in Hawaii. 10/10 experience.

Simply wow - awesome hike and fantastic host
Reviewed by: Pete and Shelley , 2022/09/17Sarah Yadao as our guide - she is native Hawaiin and her passion for her country shown through all of the hike. We got so see natural vegetation and enjoy tasting some of he plants and fruits and she was very knowledgable and shared this with us. So we didn’t just hike we explored and forages a little. Opportunities to swim in a waterfall or two and jump if we had the courage. There were pre teens in our group and us oldies and she managed to make us all feel welcome and at ease.
Fantastic guide fantastic journey and fantastic experience too. My husband and I are In our 50s and 60s and not the fittest and we managed really well.

The Road To Hana Is Luxurious
Reviewed by: Pat, 2022/08/18From the moment my husband and I boarded the Limo-van we were impressed. The seats were luxurious and each one had USB charging outlets.
The tour itself matched the high-class method of transport. Our driver, Paul Janes-Brown made sure to give us every opportunity possible to get great photos and gave us great insights into the history of Maui.
Highly recommend this tour!

Love this tour

Older folks were able to jump off the 20ft ledges but they also had spots where it was anywhere from1-5ft for young ones or those that were unsure. The hike through the jungle is so beautiful.

Fun hike had some customer service issues but it was all worked out in the end!
Reviewed by: tilks, 2021/09/22Family had a fun time on the hike, very cool and guide was great. Customer service was not good though, I called 3 days prior because I injured my knee. I was told I would be able to do the hike it would be a moderate hike but doable. The day of I couldn't bend my knee so I stayed back, my husband was told no refund even though I let them know 3 days before that I had an injury. Had they not encouraged me I would have canceled the day I called, that is why I was calling them. In the end when Veltra contacted them they fully refunded my money. It was greatly appreciated!

Got to hit a lot of the spots we wanted to see, including the bamboo forest, swimming in waterfalls, tidal pools, lunch and banana bread from Aunty Sandy's. Sampled some fresh guava off the the side of the road Awesome views. Also, Ana, loved talking movies and tv shows with you! Great times!!

Gus and AnnaLisa both provided a fantastic narrative of the beautiful island of Maui from the lush rain forest to the beach and circled entire island. Stopped at wonderful places for local banana bread to ice cream and BBQ lunch as well as local island coffee. Enjoyed hearing about Maui’s culture, history, plants and flowers. Not to mention the breathe tasting scenery with personalized photos. Very social distance friendly and felt completely safe throughout the tour. Highly recommended.

Having a driver was great just so we can spend more time looking around and he knew several of the places to stop that we otherwise would have had no idea about. Also places do not stop, they were covered in tourist and other things. Our driver and the service did a great job.

We have 14, 11, and 6 year old kids and the hike was the perfect amount of time and difficulty for all of them to enjoy it. We loved learning about the history of the area, the agriculture, and experiencing it all firsthand. This was a highlight of our trip.

She made sure we got great pictures and had a wonderful experience. I lost the card with her name on it but she told us to call her Auntie. She has lived on the island for a long time and taught us so much about the history. It was all very interesting. I would highly recommend this tour.

Peaceful, Fun Hike in Maui
Reviewed by: Shaina B, 2020/02/20My husband and I had a wonderful experience with the Rainforest & Waterfall Swim Hike in Maui! We were able to experience it all: pretty tame trails, swimming in cool waters, and cliff diving from the falls. This adventure is appropriate for families (but I wouldn't take very young children), couples, or solos that desiring a peaceful hike.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly the entire hike. He was also very accommodating (I had a shoulder injury at the time) and the hike was still very enjoyable!
There were plenty of times to rest, swim, and eat snacks. Our guide was attentive to our needs and provided other suggestions of what to check out/visit during our stay on the island. I highly recommend!

Reviewed by: Jake, 2019/12/21This tour was so fun. We had a really nice driver that talked about the culture and history of Maui, and she even asked my wife and I questions about ourselves. She knew all the best places to stop & take pictures, eat banana bread, and what literally every plant was. She was truly and expert guide. At one point, she stopped at a waterfall for us to look at, and she said we could jump off of it and she'd take a video of us. And we did!! It was SO fun. Wow. I would do this again. Anyone who goes might want to bring a change of clothes/a towel in case you want to go for a swim!

Reviewed by: Ginger , 2018/10/29We had a great time! Learned a lot from our guide. He was super helpful and knowledgeable. This was the best part of our trip. Mosquitos were vicious though. I got the worst mosquito bites in my life, but I’d do it again - I would make sure to bring your own repellant and constantly reapply because you’re going through streams and repellant washes off. I didn’t realize how badly I was bitten until I got back to the hotel.
