I was able to enjoy scenery that can't be seen by land! It was an amazing experience!
I saw waterfalls and canyons, and the deep blue sea and sky were very beautiful.
Since the sun was strong, I was glad I brought a light jacket and sunglasses.
I'm not good with heights, but I had no problem with the helicopter.

I experienced a scenic flight on Oahu, but the views in Maui were on another level! Here’s a simple outline for reference:

1. Wait for your turn at the Maverick lounge. It was very clean, possibly a new office, and it was great that we could freely use the restrooms.
2. The pilot kindly greeted each guest and provided explanations. He was a very nice pilot.
3. Finally, we took off! The scenery was unlike anything I had ever seen. Maui has more waterfalls than any other island, and there are many places that are hard to reach by car. I was truly amazed by the pilot's skills! Despite guiding us while flying close to the sights and stopping, the flight was incredibly stable!
4. We arrived at the tropical rainforest area! We started with a toast of sparkling wine! It seems they are offering sparkling wine for a limited time, and it really made me feel happy. Surprisingly, Maverick has purchased this vast area of tropical rainforest (laughs). The pilot had extensive knowledge about the plants and pineapples! I respect him for being able to guide us while flying!
5. After taking lots of photos, we departed to return to the office.

That was my scenic flight experience in Maui! I think it's an activity that anyone visiting Maui should definitely try. Next time, I plan to join with my parents. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

１．マーベリックのラウンジで順番を待ちます。新しいオフィスなのか、とてもキレイでトイレも自由にいけてよかったです。
２．担当のパイロットさんがそれぞれのお客さんに声をかけて説明をしてくれます。とても優しいパイロットさんでした。
３．いよいよ出発！とにかく見たことのないような景色が続きましす。マウイ島はどの島よりも滝が多く、なかなか車では見に行けない場所も多いようです。パイロットさんの操縦には本当に驚き！近くまで寄ったり、停止したりとガイドをしながらの操縦にも関わらず、本当に安定感あり！
４．熱帯雨林の敷地に到着！スパークリングワインで乾杯でスタート！期間限定でスパークリングワインを提供しているようですが、とっても幸せな気分になりました。熱帯雨林のひろーい敷地はまさかのマーベリックが購入したそうです(笑)草花の説明やパイナップル、とにかくパイロットさんの知識が豊富！操縦しながらガイドまでできるなんて！とにかく尊敬です。
５．たくさん写真を撮ってもらった後にオフィスへ戻るために出発
こんな感じのマウイ島遊覧飛行でした！
マウイ島に来たからには絶対に体験すべきアクティビティだと思います。
今度は両親と一緒に参加しようと思います。楽しい体験をありがとうございました！

This time, I rode a helicopter for the first time with my 10-year-old son. At first, I was anxious, but the pilot provided a safety briefing with gestures, which made me feel a bit more at ease. The passengers included us, two couples from the mainland United States, and a lady who seemed to have flown multiple times, making for a full cabin of seven people. The seats were assigned in advance based on weight, and we were in the second row by the window and in the middle next to each other.

A few minutes after takeoff, we reached the area above Haleakalā and enjoyed a view of the crater from the sky. On our way to Hana, we passed a small island shaped like a dinosaur, which appeared in the scene where the protagonists first land on Isla Nublar in the movie Jurassic World. The view from the helicopter, just like in the movie, was breathtaking and moving!

We also got to see Hana, a hidden gem that takes nearly three hours to reach by car, from the air. Finally, we approached several waterfalls, which are famous spots in Hana. The weather was a bit rainy, and the helicopter shook a little, which was a bit scary. On the way back, it cleared up, and we were able to see a beautiful round rainbow, which was very moving.

I took motion sickness medication, but my son, who didn’t take any, felt a bit nauseous. They sold motion sickness medication at the reception, so it seems advisable to take it beforehand. I would definitely like to participate again if I have the chance.

ハナに向かう途中、映画ジュラシックワールドで主人公達が恐竜の島イスラヌブラル島にヘリコプターで初めて上陸するシーンに登場する小さな恐竜の形をした島を通過、映画と同じヘリコプターからの眺めは迫力満点で感動しました！！
車で行くと三時間近くかかる秘境にあるハナも空から見物。
最後にハナの名所でもある数カ所の滝に迫りました。
ここは少し雨で天候が悪く不安定に揺れるヘリコプターが少し怖かったです。
帰りは晴れて途中美しいまん丸の虹も見れてとても感動しました。
私は酔い止めを飲んでいましたがやはり飲まなかった息子は少し酔ってしまったので受付にも売っていましたが酔い止めは必ず飲んでおいたほうがよさそうです。
また機会があれば是非参加したいと思います。

I participated in my first helicopter tour in Maui. I was worried about the cloudy weather since the day before, but in the evening I received a call suggesting that it would be better to delay the start time due to the weather, which I agreed to. On the day of the flight, the coastal area was indeed cloudy with occasional sunny spells, while the mountains were covered in misty clouds with light rain at times. After checking in, the pilot suggested changing the course to fly along the coast towards Molokai instead of Haleakalā, considering the weather, and everyone agreed. We were able to enjoy the beautiful sea and cliff views while flying on a route that was less affected by the weather. As we entered the mountainous area and gained altitude, it started to drizzle, which was a bit disappointing. I wondered how beautiful the scenery would have been if it had been sunny. That said, the pilot's guidance and jokes were enjoyable, and the dynamic and precise skilled flying was exciting. I think those who are prone to motion sickness should take some medication. マウイで初めてのヘリコプター遊覧飛行に参加。前日から曇りで心配していると、夕方携帯に電話があり、スタート時間を遅らせた方が天候が望ましいと提案あり了解。当日は、やはり海側は、曇り時々晴れ間で、山は霧のような雲がかかり、たまに小雨な感じ。チェックイン後、パイロットから天候を考えて ハレアカラはやめて、モロカイ島の方へ海側を飛びマウイ半周して戻るコースへの変更の提案があり、全員でOK。なるべく天候の影響を受けないコースで飛んでくれてとても美しい海と絶壁の景色を堪能できました。山側に入り高度を上げると小雨となり少し残念でした。晴れていたらどんなに美しい景色だったでしょう。そうは言え、パイロットさんの案内もジョークも楽しく、またダイナミックかつ正確な熟練の操縦もエキサイティングでした。乗り物酔いする人は酔い止めを飲んだ方が良いと思いました。次回また快晴の時に是非フライトしたいです、Mahalo♡！

Despite early morning raindrops, we were able to lift off and see the island via the helicopter. Our pilot was so knowledgeable and smooth operator but I still got motion sick from the excursion. My hubby was glued to the windows and loved every moment of the trip. I loved everything I saw even tho I wasn't feeling well. Great job by the pilot on all the knowledge he had on the islands
