Great tour. Worst part is this 50 character requirement to write a review.

This was a quick sightseeing adventure that was worth the cost. The boat trip was relaxing with authentic music one way and informative talk the other way to and from the Fern Grotto. The Fern Grotto is not as impressive as it once was due to storms that have torn away some of the older, longer ferns, but it was still worth the trip.

Did this ~15 years ago and was as good as I remember!! Had so much fun!!!

My best friend and I was visiting Kauai for the first time. We wanted to choose a few excursions that allowed us to see most of the island and learn about the culture/history. This tour was...... AMAZING. Such a beautiful coast. The crew on the boat was more than great & very attentive to all passengers. They were all very knowledgeable about the island, and just overall made the trip fun. The provided lunch was delicious. Aside from the breath taking views of the Na Pali coast, we saw hundreds of spinner dolphins, sea turtles, seals, the forbidden island, and snorkeled. One thing I will say though, if you get motion sick, this is not the tour for you.

So much fun! Our guides were awesome, especially BJ! Definitely a highlight of our time in Kauai.

We were so close to missing this tour and am beyond glad we made it. The water was so refreshing, and the mix of calm and exciting flow was perfect. I can’t say enough how much I appreciated out guide Damion. He was patient, welcoming, helpful, offered local tips, and kept the entire adventure fun from start to finish. The lunch was great as well, and in a beautiful spot. Pictures taken throughout and available for purchase. All around a wonderful tour. Highly recommend!

If your looking for some speed, views, drinks, and food this is your tour. Incredible experience prepare to laugh and be wet!

A good variety of activities with kayaking, hiking and the waterfall/swimming.

Tony and Cam were very friendly and humorous. They stopped at all the amazing places. We took the 8:30 AM tour and got to see dolphins, turtles, beautiful caves and multiple waterfalls. Snorkeling was fun and could see coral reef and many types of fishes. I would highly recommend Makana Charters to my friends and family.

My son and his girlfriend”s plane was FIVE hours late and STILLL they got their leis! I was thrilled with them!

I had a BLAST!! Captain Dave and his first mate were the best tour guides and I would recommend this to anyone. I had a hard time with sea sickness, and both Dave and his helper were so attentive and helpful. I truly had an amazing time.

Dustin was amazing. He was very patient and helpful in teaching everyone how to kayak. The hike was challenging through streams, rocks and mud but Dustin made sure everyone was safe and knew what to do. It is definitely a tour I would do again. The waterfall was beautiful. We learned a lot about Kauai history and the plants and trees we saw along the way.

So much fun even if you aren’t a physical person. Was super safe and the tour guide was awesome!! Would definitely do it again.

We had a superb experience with our tour specially with our tour guide Domi who entertained us well. He’s excellent and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend this company and if possible look for Domi!!!

I did a mid week kayak trip with Kauai Kayak. Instructor was excellent, gear provided was in good shape, and the lunch was fresh and delicious. The walk portion described as “along the river bank” was challenging as we walked over large river rock and then through streams, boulders, and mud to reach the falls. The company provides an excellent trip and I would easily recommend them to anyone interested in a fun and challenging half day.

The waterfall is beautiful, the river is stunning in its peaceful beauty. The guide was so knowledgeable, engaging and funny; the food was so tasty! (I need to get the name of the place they got it from;-). Great experience overall, strongly recommend!

We do the zip and dip and it was not at all scary, the last line was amazing!! The dip part great, lots of high jumps ( optional) into a volcano tube full of water! Do it!!

Our host Sparky was really interested in our experience levels and kept on reminding us on how to surf,, I will always remember our fun morning! He taught us so much!

We signed up for the kayaking but the hike and the waterfall was the best part of it!!
Our guide Jay was so knowledgeable about the nature, trees, plants and history of Kauai! we learnt so much and even had a taste of Kuala along the way
highly recommend this adventure, the 5 hours passed so fast!

We wear a bit Leary of scheduling this excursion- but had heard great things about it- it was a cold overcast morning and we thought that would be miserable but we had a great time! Great tour guides kept us entertained and having fun- felt super safe the entire time and glad we booked it! Nice lunch at the end and fun scenic ride on the way in and back out. We’ll be back with the family for sure.

This is a wonderful tour. The boat is comfortable and a mild ride for all ages. The waterfall and fern grotto are beautiful. You receive history of the area and enjoy Hawaiian song and dance. There is time to walk around and enjoy the beauty

What a fun and unique experience! We had a great time and our guide made the adventure even more memorable! Would definitely recommend this to everyone wanting to try something new and different!

We had such a blast! I was a little worried that it was just going to be a float in water from point A to B. But boy was I wrong! We had the beat guide Jonny! He was so much fun and knowledgeable about the island. Going through the tunnels were more amazing than I thought and never once did we feel claustrophobic. Next time we go we are taking the rest of our kids so they will get to experience this

Great show for the whole family. Would highly recommend it.
