Kauai
I thoroughly enjoyed the Na Pali Coast Sunset Cruise. We boarded in the afternoon, and the weather was perfect with no wind, making for ideal conditions as we set sail!
Along the way, we encountered a pod of dolphins that came right under the boat. We also spotted a whale in the distance. As we approached the Na Pali Coast, the stunning cliffs came into view, and I was in awe of the natural scenery. The dinner on the boat on the way back was also fantastic!
Just before we arrived at the harbor, the sunset behind the boat was breathtaking. I highly recommend experiencing this and enjoying the beauty of nature!

On the day of the trip, unfortunately, the wind was strong, and the planned course was changed. Because of this, I couldn't reach the long-awaited Na Pali Coast (cry). I received an explanation beforehand, but I wasn't fully aware of the details when we set sail. We also departed about 40 minutes late. Once we got out to sea, we encountered a sea turtle, and shortly after that, we saw a humpback whale... Since one of my other goals for this trip was whale watching, that was still good. I was overwhelmed by the sight of the whale breaching repeatedly, and the three hours flew by. The finale was a cruise while watching the sunset with a pod of dolphins... There were unlimited drinks and light meals, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. However, since it was a meal on a small boat, you shouldn't have too high expectations... Next time, I definitely want to make it to the Na Pali Coast!

This is a great tour for those that want an easy, non-strenuous ride up and back on the river. I just did not enjoy being packed in with that many people to see the attraction after hiking and adventuring all week and then going on a garden tour directly before this one. I thought it was the only way to get to the grotto, and didn't like being herded in a huge group to see the ferns and hurry and take a photo. We really wished we knew that renting kayaks from the same company was an option because that looked way more our style. Aside from that, the staff was nice and gave an informative tour and musical entertainment for the ride. Best suited for older or more conservative tourists.

This was one of my husband and I's adventures here in Kauai for our honeymoon! We had a wonderful time and would recommend! Great exercise, tan, and got to see lots of ocean life while snorkeling!
We had our first flight cancelled. So it was worth the wait. Beth was our pilot. She is a third generation pilot with her grandmother being first. She has 11 yrs of experience. She answered all questions. She explained every place that she flew over.

We were experienced riders or would have rated it great. We understand why its so structured, meaning follow the leader. All kind of bad things could happen with new riders. Couldnt beat the views. The Utvs were in good mechanical condition.
Guides were great. Just be aware the actual time in the water probably closer to an hour. You will also spin more than you might have anticipated as you bounce off side walls. Going through the caves was cool.
All 4 of us able to have window seats of the beautiful island.

Not bad. Food and entertainment in different areas. We have been to a few on the beach on Oahu and Maui that were excellent. This one rates OK. Nice grounds but came for Luau.
Nice river cruise. Did it before going to our Luau next door
The location was very hard to find. Price was fair. The man entertaining was kinda corny. I was expecting more.
Four of us thoroughly enjoyed the river cruise to fern grotto and Smith Family Luau experience afterwards. We had researched luaus on the Hawaiian Islands, and I am convinced we found the ideal one. Loved the gardens and cultural dance show!

The luau is just average. The show portion of the luau is in a "theater" type setting making it seem removed from the luau. The food was ok. They did try hard to accommodate my food allergy and prepared a separate plate for me.
Not like it was 28 years ago. You are distanced fron dancers by stadium seating. Imu pig was good but the rest of the food was jusr adequate. Show wasn't spectular either.
It was great. The food options were incredible. Vegan menu items were a bonus. It was a fun, entertaining evening in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the family feeling.

We went to this luau with our two adult daughters. It was such a beautiful place to explore! We were able to walk around and take pictures. The dinner was good and nicely displayed. There was a little of something for everyone to like. The show was very good and entertaining. It got a little hard to sit for that long on the forward slanted seating though. I would recommend for a fun night.
Such a great experience- travel up the Wailua River, learn about history (Hawaiian and movie), visit the beautiful fern grotto, and learn the hula on your boat ride back to the dock. Easygoing and enchanting, photographic and peaceful.

On a lovely sunny morning the cruise up the Wailua river to the Fern Grotto was a lovely experience. The entertainment was delightful and all staff friendly and helpful. Explanations about the history and nature were good.
This was amazing & worth every penny. The hike was challenging because of the slippery, muddy, sloping terrain, but everybody in the group managed it without a problem. We had a blast. The staff were super!
Beautiful, interesting, very enjoyable. Crew were wonderful!
This tour was neat for movie buffs and for anyone wanting in depth knowledge about the ins and outs of the island. Kat and Mickey were wonderful tour guides. This was a must do in my book; I just wish we had done it earlier in our trip.
