Since I chose a tour without hotel pick-up, it's difficult to catch a taxi near the pier. I couldn't understand the explanations because I don't speak English, but I was able to enjoy the music and hula dancing. At the end, we all participated in a hula dance lesson and had the experience of trying it out.

We recently attended the dinner show and overall, it was a very decent experience—definitely worth checking out at least once. It came highly recommended, and while parts lived up to the reviews, I did leave feeling slightly underwhelmed in a few areas.

The food was decent, but my family and I were hoping for more traditional Hawaiian dishes. I was especially looking forward to laulau and Hawaiian mac salad, which weren’t on the menu. While the meal was fine, it didn’t quite match the authenticity I’ve experienced at other luaus on different islands. That said, the piña colada was excellent!

The pre-show, including the unearthing of the pig, wasn’t quite what I expected, but the grounds were absolutely beautiful—immaculately maintained and fun to walk through, especially with the live animals.

Every staff member we encountered was warm and welcoming. The Smith family did a great job hosting, and the main host was especially entertaining and engaging. Their humor and hospitality were highlights of the evening

The grounds are always fun to walk around and see, lots of nice photos areas to take with family members or loved ones. The Smith family is very welcoming and inviting. They give you lots of background information about the traditional ways of life. The food is all so delicious 😋. Always enjoy going there and would go back for sure. Thank you so very much ❤️.

The snorkeling stop was refreshing- the water was a bit choppy but still plenty of marine life to see, including the friendly dolphins!!

Crew on this boat was friendl and knowledgeable sharing fun facts about the coastline and Hawaiian history throughout the tour.

Highly recommend! Would do this again. Amazing time, great crew, and unforgettable experience!

The boat ride takes just under 30 minutes, followed by a stay of about 20 minutes in the fern cave, allowing you to rest and enjoy sightseeing. Kayak rentals are also available on this river, and it's a lot of fun to encounter many things while moving by boat.

片道30分弱の船での移動、20分程度のシダ洞窟での滞在、身体を休めて観光ができます。この川ではカヤックのレンタルもやっていて、ボートで移動中に沢山遭遇して楽しいです。

We took the kids and grandkids here for a family vacation and wanted them to see some of the things we have seen before and enjoyed. We all had a wonderful time and never disappointed by your family cruise up the river to Grotto. Thank you so very much.

It's a fun cruise with vibrant local hula dancing and music performed by locals. The music continues throughout the journey, keeping you entertained.

The walk in the tropical vegetation was the best part.

It was a nice experience, getting the flavor of Hawaii songs and dance and also that was a short walk to a cave filled with germs that was really awesome.

The crew were super friendly and kind. The live music and the commentary of the guide was very entertaining and informative through-out. The river ride was pleasant and breezy. Definitely a nice experience if you want to do with family. We went to the Fern Grotto at the end of the cruise and the short walk to the grotto through the tropical forest was so cool. Overall a neat thing to do in Kauai.

We had a wonderful time on this mini cruise to Fern Grotto. We loved hearing about it's history, listening to the music and being entertained by a talented group of people. Every seat was a good one for views and the short walk to the grotto was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this relaxing trip!

This was my first time visiting Kauai, even though it was my ninth trip to Hawaii. It was the most enjoyable luau experience I've ever had.

First, after checking in, we were guided on a tram through the beautiful Smith's garden, which features peacocks and more. After that, we watched the imu ceremony and then had our meal.

During the meal, there was a band performance. A tall man who greeted us spoke to us in broken Japanese. He helped guide my husband and me, who were participating individually, to our seats. I later learned that he was Kamika Smith, the organizer. He went up on stage and sang beautifully, leaving us mesmerized. Mrs. Smith also welcomed us. After finishing our meal, we took a nice walk to the stage, which was just the right amount of exercise after eating. There was even a garden that resembled a Japanese garden. It was a beautiful garden.

I had read in the guidebook that the show included not only Hawaiian and Tahitian dances but also dances from other countries, such as New Zealand, Korea, China, Japan, and the Philippines. However, I discovered something when we got there. There were no Chinese or Korean guests that day; my husband and I were the only Asians. The Asian dance presented as a foreign dance was actually the Tokyo Ondo from Japan. I couldn't help but feel that the Smith family must have chosen the music based on where the attendees were from. Instead of Chinese or Korean dances, we had the Tokyo Ondo. I was deeply moved.

The food was delicious, and above all, I was so happy to have had a conversation with Kamika Smith himself and to experience the warm hospitality of the Smith family.

　まず、チェックインしたあと孔雀などのいる美しいスミスさんの庭園をトラムで案内していただきます。そのあと、イムの儀式を見て、お食事になります。
　食事の間には、バンド演奏をしていただきます。声をかけてくださった背の高い男性が、片言の日本語で話しかけてくださいました。ツアーの人が多く、個人参加の私たち夫婦を彼が、席に案内してくださいました。日本に帰ってから知ったのですが、彼が、カミカ・スミスさんでした。主催者さんだったのです。彼は、ステージに上がり、歌われたのですが、うっとりするほど、お上手でした。スミス婦人も歓迎してくださいました。食事が終わったあと、ステージまで、歩いていきました。ちょうどいい食事の後の散歩タイムでした。日本庭園のようなものもありました。美しいお庭です。
　ショーは、ハワイアンやタヒチダンスだけでなく、他の国、ニュージーランドや韓国、中国、日本、フィリピンなど多国の踊りもあると事前にガイドブックで知っていましたが、行って初めて知ったことがあります。それは、当日のお客さんに中国や韓国の人はおられず、アジア人は私たち夫婦二人だけでした。外国の踊りとして披露いただいたアジアの踊りは、日本の東京音頭だったのです。スミスファミリーさんは、出席者がどこから来てるのかを見て、選曲されてるとしか思えなかったのです。中国、韓国の踊りでなく東京音頭だったのです。感激しました。
　食事も美味しかったし、何といってもカミカ・スミスさんご本人とお話しできたこと、温かいスミスファミリーのおもてなしに幸せな時間を過ごさせていただきました。

This is my first time visiting Kauai, even though it's my ninth trip to Hawaii. It's the filming location of Elvis Presley's movie "Blue Hawaii." Memories of my youth come rushing back. I've always wanted to visit here, so I'm overwhelmed with emotion.

I came with my husband, and we are a couple aged 70 and 69. It's said that couples who visit here will find happiness. We took a boat tour that lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes round trip. At the fern cave, we landed and enjoyed hula dancing and music.

There were only two other families of Japanese couples and their daughters who were around the same age as us. Although everything was in English, we had no trouble communicating.

It was a romantic and sacred-feeling place. I tried to upload photos, but unfortunately, I couldn't.

青春の思い出が蘇ってきます。一度訪れてみたいと思っていたので、感無量です。
夫と二人で来ました。70才と69才の夫婦。ここを訪れたカップルは幸せになれるとか、言われています。船に乗って、往復で1時間20分のツアーでした。シダの洞窟では、上陸してフラダンスや音楽を鑑賞しました。
日本人は、私たち夫婦と同じ年代のご夫婦と娘さんのご家族の二組だけでした。
英語だけですが、言葉の不自由はないです。
ロマンチックで、かつ、神聖な感じのする場所でした。
写真が、アップしようとしたのですが、できなくて残念です。

Absolutely fantastic evening, great food and show! It’s a must do for your first time here.

Its a cheap, pretty trip down the river and then you get to see a really pretty spot with a little cave and waterfall in a jungle like setting. Id say go. It only takes a couple hours. Guides were sometimes funny, sometimes looked like they were in hell lol, but it didn't matter, it was fun. You should go.

Our water conditions were perfect, the coast was gorgeous! What a day

Cast and crew were excellent. Very entertaining and informative. Great for adults and kids. Fern Grotto should not be missed.

Captain Rob was amazing! Found a calm place to snorkel and thrilled us with many cave entries! The NaPali coast is surreal. All the crew was friendly and informative about Hawaiian culture, activities and safety. Was a bit worried about sea sickness, but no problems for anyone in the boat!

We missed out on the food so make sure you book early, but the show was still fabulous!

We got so lucky and had such wonderful ocean conditions, allowing us to see so much of the coast! Wonderful experience.

What a special evening, the crew there works their butts off to put on a show!

The river cruise to the fern grotto was a lot of fun. The local info shared was insightful and gave us several other sites to see. The entertainment was well done and fun. The walk up to the grotto was beautiful! All in all, a great outing that was a lot of fun.

This was a very traditional Hawaiian experience. Enjoyed it very much!

I was torn between choosing a helicopter or this option, but this was the right choice. I am very satisfied with this experience at this price. The scenery was wonderful. I was worried about getting motion sickness, but it was fine.
