Kauai Flying Bicycle ZipBike Tour
Good but quick
Reviewed by: Emi, 2021/08/11Although the entire activity takes about 1.75-2 hours (including check in and some transportation), you really only get to ride on the bike for 5 minutes depending on how fast you ride because the zipline is not very long. A lot of other time is just spent waiting while others are doing the zipbike. There are other activities to keep you busy (water bike, kayak, fishing), but since we signed up for zipbike, it was a little disappointing that we only got one short ride over and back that was over in 10 minutes (with half of that time being spent just turning the bikes around).
It would be nice if we were given 20-30 minutes total (split between the different groups who are in the same reservation) to ride the bikes back and forth as many times as we wanted/at whatever speed we wanted.
The jump down from the platform was fun and other people seemed to have gotten the opportunity to jump down more than once. I wish we had asked to do that as well.
According to the staff, they've only had the zipbike open for about a month (due to COVID delay). I hope they're able to work out a few more kinks and give a few more opportunities for guests.

Kauai Waimea Canyon Sightseeing, Kokee Nature Walk & Coffee Tour with Lunch
Excellent tour!
Reviewed by: John - NJ, 2021/08/06The tour was at an easy pace and covered the West side of the island concluding with spectacular views and vantage points of Waimea Canyon. Our driver Rosario was thorough with explanations, local trivia, and very personable to everyone. The pickup and drop offs from the hotels were punctual. The lunch was also good as were the local stops in Hanapepe and Waimea. Each stop including those of Waimea Canyon allowed for plenty of time to use the facilities, investigate the area, and take plenty of photos. The tour bus had plenty of space, and was air conditioned and comfortable. I would recommend this tour for any visitors to the Garden Isle!

Guided Waterfall Rappelling Adventure in Kauai
Outstanding time!!!

He was friendly, knowledgeable and took care to design the tour around our interests. We saw Waimea canyon and did a short hike with incredible views, it was perfect - and not something we could have done or necessarily known about on our own. Coffee farm and fruit stand stops added by request, the relaxed pace was great. Overall fantastic experience!

Sacred Falls Adventure - Wailua River Kayak, Hike & Waterfall Swim
Kayaking Only
Reviewed by: Gina M., 2021/07/07We went on a 2 hour kayaking trip. Unfortunately, the hike/sacred falls was cancelled due to inclement weather. It was a bummer, but we know it was for our safety. However, it did hurt a little when we were seeing others continuing to go past the fork in the river. We did get a partial refund. After concluding our kayaking trip, our tour guide Tyler did point us to the Nounou trail to hike which was great. So we were able to fill more of our day on this hike with spectacular views!

Safety is no accident!
When in doubt we don't go out or up the North Fork that constricts and is more prone to flooding as consequence.
Having pioneered the tour we have safely been guiding folks to the falls for the last 37 years while other companies have lost clients in flood like conditions.
We love repeat business and believe "safety is no accident".

When we pioneered this tour to the Falls we called it the Secret Falls.
Victim of our own success...it quickly became the best known secret. Now we call it the Sacred Falls and inspite its popularity, as you observed and learned, it is still a terrific way to spend the day.

MUST experience!

I can’t say enough how much I appreciated out guide Damion. He was patient, welcoming, helpful, offered local tips, and kept the entire adventure fun from start to finish. The lunch was great as well, and in a beautiful spot. Pictures taken throughout and available for purchase. All around a wonderful tour. Highly recommend!

Secret Kauai Waimea Canyon & Coastlines Private Island Tour with Optional Hike
Amazing tour and exactly what we were looking for.

We were looking for something with a pick up and drop off, as we could not manage to snag a rental car and this was perfect. Fantastic way to spend a half day in Kauai
Reviewed by: Halls, 2021/05/15Dustin was amazing. He was very patient and helpful in teaching everyone how to kayak. The hike was challenging through streams, rocks and mud but Dustin made sure everyone was safe and knew what to do. It is definitely a tour I would do again. The waterfall was beautiful. We learned a lot about Kauai history and the plants and trees we saw along the way.

Kauai Kayak - the best
Reviewed by: Mary SantaFe, 2021/03/05I did a mid week kayak trip with Kauai Kayak. Instructor was excellent, gear provided was in good shape, and the lunch was fresh and delicious. The walk portion described as “along the river bank” was challenging as we walked over large river rock and then through streams, boulders, and mud to reach the falls. The company provides an excellent trip and I would easily recommend them to anyone interested in a fun and challenging half day.

Tons of fun!
Reviewed by: Rkn1, 2020/04/04We wear a bit Leary of scheduling this excursion- but had heard great things about it- it was a cold overcast morning and we thought that would be miserable but we had a great time! Great tour guides kept us entertained and having fun- felt super safe the entire time and glad we booked it! Nice lunch at the end and fun scenic ride on the way in and back out. We’ll be back with the family for sure.

He was so much fun and knowledgeable about the island. Going through the tunnels were more amazing than I thought and never once did we feel claustrophobic. Next time we go we are taking the rest of our kids so they will get to experience this

Great Adventure!
Reviewed by: Staci, 2020/03/14Jay was our guide and he couldn't have been more awesome. He's a local and a bit of a botanist so he was very knowledgeable and truly happy to take us on the tour. The kayak to the hike was fairly easy for two inexperienced kayakers as we were flowing down stream. The hike was fairly easy for non-experienced hikers. We went during the rainy season so it was very muddy, so it was a bit slick in spots, but that's part of what made it fun. The waterfall was astounding. So tall and powerful. Well worth the hike to see it's beauty. The lunch provided was enjoyable. The kayak trip back was a bit of a challenge as you're going upstream, but once you hit a nice flow, it becomes much easier. I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the island looking for a little adventure!
