Kauai
Our guide Mason was fantastic! Great ukulele! Interesting history of the Hawaiian Islands and how they became port or the US. Scenery was great. Tunnels were fun!
One of the highlights of our trip. Would highly recommend.
Great hosts we had, very informative about route, scenery, and hazards to watch for. The waterfall was really shorter than I expected and that day showed too much dirt in the bottom of the waterfall lagoon area. Yet Overall,it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this tour to friends/family.
Tubing was our favorite adventure. the drive out there was beautiful and our guide shared a lot of history and info about the island. Then the tubing was so fun. I thought i would be afraid of the caves but it was fun. Lots of spinning around and bumping into each other. The pictures turned out great.
This was such a great experience. They were all so kind and fun on our tour. I loved the history that was told about the land and all the movies that were filmed there. The ATV was soooo fun too. Very off road. Loved it.
Nothing beats these views! How we wish we could see them always!
This is a great experience. They have improved it a lot. It was better than when we did it in 2013. Our guide Jordan was very personable and knowledgeable.
Our guide, Patrick, did a great job making this interesting and fun. Learned a lot about Kauai plants, land, water, and history! The bamboo forest and waterfall were amazing. Going under and behind the waterfall was an experience to remember.
Family of four- two adult sons, enjoyed this spacious home. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfy and each with their own amazing views. Kitchen had more than enough to cook meals and enjoy local food. Favorite spot was the patio off the living room. So lush. Private. Beautiful chickens roaming and kittens. Quiet neighborhood. Took beautiful walks. Enjoyed the nearby resort for sunset and dinner. Saturdays go to the Farmers Market. Responsive replies. Plenty of beach stuff as well. Great washer and dryer set up. Books, puzzles, and games galore. Just a lovely experience!
Had a great time on this tubing trip with my 5 year old. Thought it would be more of a kids thing but it was really fun for the adults too. Beautiful scenery on the drive up and lots of interesting history. Tubing was exciting and tunnels were fun.
It was fun and everyone in the family can participate. Staff were so nice and informative especially our tour guide Mason. Ben and Natalie was great! Very knowledgeable of the passageways. Thank you
The tour guide (a Hawaiian teenage girl, very energetic) is super awesome and nice, the safety tour guides also works super hard. It's the tour itself that I gave this rating. The tube would keep spinning and spinning which made me dizzy and created minor headache. I really hope that there is a way to force the tube to alway look forward. Some sort of a "1-person" short floaty canoe or kayak would have made this tour much more enjoyable. Thanks!
The first time I went on this tour a friend booked and I wasn't sure about it. I had so much fun I took my daughter the next time we were here. This time I have recommended it to multiple friends who will be tubing with me for the third time! Great family fun!
The kayak/hiking/waterfall tour was beautiful. Exactly what we were looking for. Tour guide Harrison was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the local flora/fauna, history. Harrison was cool with letting our 10 year old daughter double kayak with him (she didn’t want to ride with mom and dad!). Lunch sandwiches were very yummy. Tour guide even provided a chilled pineapple after the tour. Harrison made sure we all had transportation after the tour and actually went out of his way to drop us off at the beach across the highway in his own personal vehicle. 100% recommend and would use again!! Also-prepare to get muddy LOL
Aloha Wilson O'hana,
Harrison does it again, i.e. provides a classic effort, as he does on all his tours.
We are the only tour company on the Wailua that provides pretty good lunches; my favorite is the veggie.
Will share your kind words with Harrison…slowly; don't want it to go to his head.
Thanks for sharing and warning folks about the mud.
A hui hou,
Micco
Ryan and his cousin were amazing! They were extremely kind, energetic, and you can tell they love their job and the company they work for! It was our first excursion in Kauai and it definitely was a memorable experience. Will definitely recommend this company for anyone interested in ATV tours.
The river tube tour was awesome almost half of it was in caves. Definitely worth the cost and time to add it to your trip
If you are down for a decent workout plus an absolutely exceptional experience go on this excursion.
The kayak trip is breathtaking. You are paddling along more or less the Kauai jungle. Once you complete your paddle up it’s off to a beginner level hike.
The hike consists of a couple of water crossings and then being immersed in open cane like fields and then into dense rain forest. Then you begin to get peaks of the waterfall ahead.
The arrival at the waterfall is phenomenal. For us it was our first time to a Hawaiian waterfall and all the hype and what you expect to experience, well, it’s true! Bask in the beauty of the falls, go enjoy the water and feel it crashing about you, you won’t be disappointed. It was a bit chilly at first but once in it’s comfortable.
This is where you get lunch, the sandwiches were great, the cookies, those were delicious!
Once you get to spend the 45 or so minutes at the falls it’s time for the hike back. Take in the scenery, it’s truly breathtaking.
Once back at the kayaks it’s time for the 2 mile paddle back to the marina. Here’s our advice on the paddle, go easy heading out to save your energy for the paddle back. It seems there is always a head wind for the return trip, we’ve heard this from friends who did it in the Spring and we did it late June. Just expect a harder return paddle then out.
Our guide was Steve, so I can’t speak for the other guides. But he was a top notch guide. Shared great info on what we were seeing, the horticultural significance of the area and some Kauai history, you are traveling through where the Hawaiian Kings/Queens lived.
Couple of tips, if you are a mosquito attraction like my wife, bring some bug spray. Absolutely make sure you have a refillable water container, it’s hot and you are working. And, go do this excursion, hands down the most fun thing we’ve done on the islands.
Wow Gregg…you should become a professional review generator. Let me know if you ever need a job.
Seriously thanks for generating an excellent review that give potential clients a real sense of what is involved.
Having Steve as the guide is just icing on the cake on the journey to the falls and yes he is definitely "top notch".
Thanks taking the time.
Stay well and active.

The whole Family had a great time! Jacob, Griff and Jess were amazing! So much fun.
We enjoyed the tour overall but wish we had more time and one or two more stops around the Waimea Canyon. The tour takes in a few different spots across Kauai, but the real highlight is the Canyon. So it's a shame to only get a few different opportunities to stop and take photos. The tour picked us up and dropped us off promptly, and our guide Rosario told us a bit about the island and it's history, which we liked. The lunch provided was better than we expected. If we had the chance again, we would drive to the Waimea Canyon itself to explore it independently. If we had to take a tour again, we would consider this one as we felt overall it was good, if not perfect.
We had the greatest time on this adventure! All the guides were great! We had Nick, Noah, and Braydon, but everyone involved with the tour was friendly, funny, and shared lots of information about the island. They made sure we were safe and having fun. They are a great crew and work hard. Wanted to do it all over again!
We thoroughly enjoyed this sightseeing tour, with driver & guide, Kaleo. He was helpful, informative and hilarious! Stories, quips and jokes all day long. We even learned how to pronounce "humuhumunukunukuapua`a"! We saw some highlights of the beautiful island of Kaua`i including the spouting horn blow hole and we were lucky enough to get a clear view of the waimea canyon, before the clouds rolled in! We had a tasty lunch at chicken in a barrell and sampled delicious coffee at the Kaua`i coffee plantation. The trail at the state park is very short and the order of the stops is different to that listed on the veltra site, but regardless we would 100% recommend this tour.
This excursion was amazing. I enjoyed every part of it. The kayaking was a serene adventure, the hiking was fun and the waterfall was a sight to behold. Our tour guide was awesome and engaging. I definitely recommend this tour.
Aloha Kenisha and/or Chris,
Amazing is good enough for me. How can we do better?
Thanks for the kudos.
Hope to see you back again for more water falls and paddles.

We did the 7:30am tour and am glad we got out before it got too busy on the trail. I had never kayaked before but our guide, Garrett or "G" was able to answer any questions I had and I was quickly put at ease.
The kayaking up to the trail was good and the river not too busy. The trail was around a mile or so. We knew from the pictures that there's a crossing over water but we weren't aware there were about 4 each way and that one was about hip height. It was fine, we were just taken aback a bit.
Some of the trail was muddy, some was boarded walkways and some was literally clambering over jagged rocks. Wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues!
We only had around 40 minutes at the sacred falls, which was a shame. A little longer would've been better.
A highlight was meeting a little shama thrush that G had befriended.
The trail back seemed muddier due to the amount of folk on the trail.
The kayak back was a little harder as we were going against the flow of the river, but overall it was an incredible experience.
Aloha Lammy,
You should write a guide book. Great review and gives potential clients an idea of what to expect on the river and trail.
We ...you are lucky to have Garrick sharing his particular brand of aloha. Garrett is great water man with a real handle on the natural and cultural history of the area, while keeping it all safe and fun.
We try to spend an hour by the falls, but that is always dependent on group and weather dynamics.
Your only error is paddling back you are actually paddling with the slow current, but it is paddling into the wind that can at time test your mettle.
Stay well and active and thanks for taking the time to share.

Kayla, keyla and bill were the best people ever!! The experience it was super amazing and I would love to go back!!!!
The driver - bubu was super sweet as well!!
These people made the difference on our trip
We had a lot of fun doing this. The route is well laid out; the way it's designed, you'll do a lot of bumping and spinning from one end to the other. It was easy to engage with other participants. The crew was funny and went out of their way to get you to laugh. You do get wet but you don't get dunked and it's not too cold. A great way to spend an hour or two!
My husband and I loved this tubing adventure. The setting was pristine far away from any development. A fun ride through the property to reach the entrance was interesting and the commentary from the tour guide was informative and entertaining. Then into the refreshing water. Sometimes calm and other times exciting and fast moving. Five tunnels with your “head lamps “ on!!! It was truly the most fun we have had on the island. Worth every penny!!!!
Great time tubing with an excellent staff! Kai (?), Hank, sharia and the others were fantastic!!!
We enjoyed the whole experience. The drive up was beautiful and we loved stopping for pics. The tubing adventure was great and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Lunch afterwards was perfect! Would recommend for families, just dress appropriately and know what your children can handle.
My wife and I went on this six years ago and had a great time. We were in Kauai with the whole family. I told them that this was a must do The whole family fro 74 to 8 years had an enjoyable time. Outstanding activity.
This was so much fun. Our guides Cousin Ryan and Merlin were amazing!! Very knowledgeable and informative! We learned so much about the ranch and Hawaii! Loved riding in the 4x4’s! Views were magnificent!!!
