Reviewed by: Chauna, 2022/12/10Staff was friendly from first walking into the warehouse to our tour guide, Bubu, who was very knowledgeable and informative of the histories of Hawai'i as well as great places to visit while on Kaua'i.
Our tube instructors Keoni & Doza? were great at making sure no one strayed from the path and made everyone comfortable within our group. Which is really great because you can't control your tubes.. you WILL be bumping into each other.
The water is also very brisk & most of the ride is underground (in tunnels) so a rashguard is probably a good idea unless you like the cold.
Definitely something fun to do with friends, family, your other half, etc. We want to do their ziplining tour on our next trip!

Easy hike after the kayak route to the waterfall, any type of shoes or no shoes are doable. Our tour guide Izzy was super friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you !!
Aloha Kristen, Thanks for the 5 stars and for taking the time to share. I agree with all that you said, including that Izzy is great, but some sort of footwear is advisable. We have one seasoned guide that negotiates the rocky often slippery trail shoe less, but again we recommend some sort of aqua shoes or beater tennis shoes. Keep chasing waterfalls. Happy Holidays. Great way to spend tie in Hawaii

Wailua River Kayak Rental & Optional Self-Guided Sacred Falls Hike
Paddleboarding in the rain

We had an amazing paddle up the river which followed a beautiful hike up to the Falls It started raining on our way back but it was still an amazing experience. It was super easy yo rent the boards and they instructed us well on how to position them for travel. Definitely recommend and will hopefully return again.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience renting SUP from us at Kayak Kaua'i. Many way to paddle falls and SUP is a bit more work but fun enough. Our boards are looking a little shabby and we will soon be replacing them with new and fleeter SUP's.

A bit prices but super fun and super easy!

In between most tunnels you are back outside floating under beautiful trees. The guides are amazing and literally get out of their tubes and stand in the water to make sure everyone gets through each area safe. The water is not deep and you’ll feel safe. If you’re considering doing this tour, just DO IT! You won’t regret it.

Great all around adventure!
Reviewed by: SteveW, 2022/10/19The experience was really great from start to finish. We had an opportunity to see parts of Kauai we would never otherwise see and learn about the history of the area and the modern effort to conserve.
Our guides were amazing, the tube ride was mostly gentle and relaxing (except for the one stretch of 36 inch vertical drop!). The water is fresh and invigorating, really pleasant on a warm fall day.
Do yourself a favor and take this don't miss adventure.

worth the time and effort!
Reviewed by: Carolyn, 2022/09/24First, our Guide "G" was fantastic! He made all the difference with his knowledge of Kauai history, and educating us all along the hike and kayaking portion of the trip. Would recommend the earliest departure time of 7:45 if you don't want a lot of crowds both on the water and at the falls. As we were leaving around 11am to hike back to the kayaks, the falls were very crowded and busy, as was trail and the river on our return. Overall, worth the little effort it takes to see this very pretty part of Kauai.
Aloha Carolyn, Or was it Mr T, who was your guide. Regardless, with all confidence I can tell you that all our guides on all our tours, keep it fun, safe and thoughtful. I love the morning departures but the after noon is a nice way to end the evening. Anyway, appreciate the 5 stars and that we are doing a good job.
